Dungeon mobs just seem to hate Elementalists. I swear Eles get targeted by dungeon mobs more than any other class.

like every other class, its mostly dependent on build
on my necro im running a deathblast build where i try to stay almost entirely in death shroud: combined with the trait that lets deathblast to pierce, its a nice cylinder AoE with nice DPS on each hit, this helps with the stacking stratagy: that and the 4 and 5 AoEs are pretty nice too

and lets be honest, (it feels like) 90% of the time people only care about ur outgoing DPS in dungeons

ATM, like ranger, necros are underrated

yea pics do speak louder then words. usually i like to make my fur color and armor try to match the class also

also white charr being more common, ehhh imo its a misconception since white generally is a more noticeable color: in my over 3k hours playing i’ve noticed just as much white charr as any other color, but that’s just my 2 cents.

-have lighter tan fem charr lvling up dont wanna show off till she’s 80-

in my oppion and observations
the meta for zerker in dungeons revolves around stacking so that out going AoE DPS is combined and obliterates whatever enters the kill zone with little challange (cept for some bosses you still have to dodge, but they still get melted fast)
im fully aware this is a legitamite stratagy since it does take advantage of the mobs dumb AI and not an exploit.

the fixes im thinking of are
A) mobs cant walk through eachother
B) new permabuff on some mobs

for A this seems like it be the hardest for Anet to implement but it would force mobs to not beable to all cluster into the killzone of stacking players, the downside i see is players forcing mobs into a narrow area and then aoe spam that area with 2 or 3 players preventing them from getting tothe people aoeing

for B this would also involve a lot of work on anets part, lets just call this permabuff on the mobs “skirmisher”. historicly skirmishers are military units that are just there to harass their foes. in total war series (been a while since i played one) i recall a mode called skirmisher for ranged units that would make them retreat if hostile units got close. thats where im going with this, ranged mobs would run away from the stacked players to harass them from afar.

aside from stacking getting bunced by the nerf hammer theres other things that could use buffing
condition damage is generally seen as useless in PvE though i’ve noticed it dominating in pvp. toughness/vitality, PvE wise they dont scale that well and only really shine in wvw and world bosses that are immune to crits, toughness is absolutly useless against DoT effects. Healing power also needs some scaling buff. honestly i dont really have any good ideas for this but im gonna just write down whatever shinadigan idea pops up
-toughness reducing DoT: based on the idea of toughness being physical durability, being a glutton of punishment with high resistance
-endurance recharge rate scaling with vitality: going with the idea is that vitality is physical condition, and having high vitality means your in really good shape thus allowing you to dodge more often
-rework aggro system: its very wonky at the moment and looking at the system, highest DPS out prioritzes highest toughness and shield (#4 on priority), though in observation when im playing on my ele whatever set im using i always seem to have aggro (i mostly use my pvt armor set on my ele since i personally think zerker is to squishy for my liking on ele, though i still have it around incase)
-buff up the armor from toughness and health from vitality
-healing power effects condition duration: basicly ur healing faster
-condition damage effects durration making them last longer and priority(condition stack priority goes to whoever has the highest condition damage) on stack: on my necro (who is lvl 41 right now) i can easily put 25 stacks of vulnerability on single targets, so im thinking if i wanted to go dire build (condition damage, toughness vitiality) i’d want that to last a lot longer to let my team eat up that 25% defence reduction. (PVE ONLY since condition builds are already good in pvp)
-every 500 condition damage=10%-15% chance of a condition (on the attack being used) being doubled: this means that condition builds would be able to build up thier conditions faster, think of it like critical strikes for conditions. (PVE ONLY since condition builds are already good in pvp)
-less “fake difficualty” sections: points where the game punishes you severly for a mistake no matter how much toughness/vitiality you have (ie alphanze’s pull/nuke (if that hasnt been fixed yet, havent ran arah p2 since early january)) its sections like these that make people think “vitality and toughness arent worth it”

my biggest gripe is a daily hardcap on the reward track, expecially on the repeatable ones

stop making reward limits for pvp, there are people who do play the game for mostly pvp

to be honest, i would avoid these like the plauge

been hearing of people scamming (get the money close the instance) and honestly i’d bet that a good percent of them have exploited thier way to the finish to save money (NOT SAYING EVERYONE DOES IT), when some1 claims the run was “legit” it just raises the question since its easy to say that it was.

the reason i avoid most zerker LFG becuase most zerker players (that i enountered) are elitist pricks

this doesnt stop me from having some zerker alt-sets for my characters (even though i like PVT better becuase i feel the room for error is greater, specially on my ele who i feel in full zerker is WAY to squishy for my liking)

honestly i dont care how long it takes as long as it gets done so zerker is more along the lines of “meh, its DPS whatever” for me

edit: oh and people on the forums always acting like its the best ever stat. cutting down some egos, NO its not, its best DPS armor not best for surviving (que the “L2Dodge huehue” elitism crud). its even gone so far that people are making posts about it in the form of a prayer. seriously? im sorry but thats just stupid fanaticism

i REALLY dont think 1 stat will matter enough to make it as bad as your saying, plus its 6% buff to all stats including feocity
will it have slightly worst crit damage ability: maybe

celestial is about versitility, not falling into the DPS meta

“6% increase in power/precision/conditdmg along with the normalization of critdmg in no way compares to the change berserker’s gear.

why should it? who knows the 6% buff to celestial power might push the damage up enough to cover if it does fall behind on crit damage, the precision will let you crit more again making up for the crit damge
and condition damage…. well honestly that tends to suck in pve already >3> but thats besides the point

if celestial is losing anything its going to gain it back in more then 1 way

Aggro needs Rework

stated on the wiki aggro is at the moment a list of factors, in most important order
1)closest target to them
2)who is dealing damage
3)top damage dealers
4)who is using a shield / has more toughness and overall armor
5)others

honestly i think aggro is very wonky at this state of the game
1) closest target doesnt nessesarly work when everyone is stacked up, since everyone is taking the brunt of the attack (cept if its single target)
2) who ever is doing damage is just about anyone in the area doing the event/other (imo this one is probably the most stable of the factors)
3) top damage dealer…. Wait? so ur tellign me that, that zerker build-whatever who is doing a truckload of damage but squishy as hell is generating more aggro then a person who actually built themselfs to be able to take a hit? this just doesnt make any sence to me
4)shield/defence honestly this should be up in the top 2 or 3
5) other is a finiky subject: sometimes reviving people is an aggro magnet, sometimes not so much

this also feels annoying when some mobs completely ignore some of the guidelinesr
for example the wurms (vines whatever) in exploration of TA, i’ve noticed that they love attacking the furthest player. though this may be cuase they are rooted in place. i’ve noticed this with a lot of other mobs also. i’ve also noticed that occasionally DPS is out done by high defence melee players, other times not so much. from my experiance the guidelines feel like they work on a RNG style basis vs actual aggro mechanics.

If I might add,
OP if you were getting celestial for the damage I must inform you that celestial is getting a significant damage nerf in next update coming April 15th.
You might want o cut your losses and opt for another set of gear that’s easier to obtain…

celestial is getting a 6% buff, not getting nerfed. and only part that would be even effected by the nerf is the crit damage which is being changed to ferocity, that is effected by the 6% buff. it should be at or better then where it is now… dfently better off then everything else with crit damage

honestly dont mind the time gating, considering how common quarts was during the release, and if zephyr is a yearly thing like i heard (dont take my word on it) then would make sence for it to be time gated continueally.

since account bound WxP is in the feature pack, will commander tag unlock be upgraded to be account unlock?

i dont want to buy one and have the tag be character bound once wxp becomes account bound, defeats the point of being able to use alts if your a known commander (and if no one else is able to tag up)

mix matching armor is usually the way i go i find personalized armor sets is generally better then the actual set

only characters i have not shows is my mesmer (asuran with t3 chest and legs but since those 2 peices of armor basicly cover everything else its kinda a set in itself) my thief/necro (who are still being lazily’d level’d dont wanna waste trans crystals getting style early)

Nerfing Berk actually hurts Cavalier/Valk

ATM exotic zerker chest (using it as example) has +101 power, +72 precision and +5% crit damage
exotic cavalier is also 5% crit damage
exotic valk is like the other two 5% crit damage

only thing being changed is how crit damge works changing it to ferocity, both armor sets will still provide same amount of crit damage as the zerker set, just getting the precision is the kicker and that isnt what is changing
the nerf doesnt effect the other 2 stats on valk/cav

I don’t think the goal of the Ferocity change is specifically to nerf Berzerker gear as much as it is to normalize crit damage (most likely because they’re planning more vertical progression of stats), and want critical damage on the same diminishing returns scale as opposed to a flat percentage.

honestly this is how i think its gonna work, considering they are saying that pvp crit damage is staying relatively untouched, so im assuming there will be a soft cap at 80% or 90%

so i mostly think that gw2 is headed in the right direction

what things they should do also imo
-rework for world bosses again, timers as fail conditions suck: use the twisted marrionette as a good example for a boss with fair fail conditons… for example the shadow behemoth can be a “defend the ring” event, where spawns more adds to try to capture the ring, if he captures it he wins (probably should be more then 1 ring to force zerg to split up)
-actually let us know about dungeon fixes, kinda annoyed with all of it being stealth patched
-more build viability
-aggro rework (its confusing specially in mosh pits: main mechanic for it is whoever is closest but if every1 is meleeing then its hard to determine)
-conditions rework, nerf effectiveness in pvp but buff em in pve

this i know, but im still confused, the patch notes also say "Transferring worlds during a tournament will prevent players from entering the Mist War for the duration of their current matchup and the following WvW matchup. " so im assuming it means time in PvE world

still like clairification with this, can my friend who’s on a different server mooch off my servers place if he guests enough even if he’s just doing pve content?

1) more “failure” conditions for world bosses, enough with the sodding timers
2) less zerg content: if zerg content force the zerg to split like the marrionette did and the evacuation of LA “partially” did
3) content that refrences your progress in your personal story (i loved this during the nightmare chambers during the tower of nightmare arc)

BONUS WANTS
-new maps (pve, wvw and spvp)
- Permanent SAB
-permanent dungeons instead of temp dungeons
- ability to continue getting special living story stuff (recipies, crafting mats (seriously add azurite drops to all mithril and ori, not just in the fractal: also adfd back the toxic spore nodes that dont have to make me do a group event to get 1 spore)) excluding weapon and armor skins
-better meta achieve reward as well as a vendor in the home instance that lets you get more living story skins from achievements that you have completed (for example, be able to get multible scarlet veil skins only if you completed the achievement it was attached to): as for the better rewards, recent LS rewards have been kinda….. lame (keep it skins, gathering nodes (these imo are best), and maybe tonics: not a chest containig some mats and less then exotic items)
-no election based content, just give us the content

as we saw with the fractured update, moltan foundry and aether blade retreat were brought back as fractals. i think a net can take this a tad further by bringing back more LS material.

in the form of fractals
-scarlets prime hologram (as a boss)
-scarlets play house
-tower of nightmare ascention (scale it down to allow a team of 5 to beable to get to the top, no events but beating the bosses are needed)
-toxic hybrid boss (this fight was tad to easy so buff it somewhat)

world event
-priory gets the twisted marionette back up and running and need adventures fighting it for research, having disabled the aether cannon (no zone wipes)
-scarlets army will still do “invasion events” at a smaller scale (not entire zone, probably only a quarter of it). also will not be all of scarlet’s faction only one considering the one who brought them all togeather is dead, (for example “toxic allaince is attacking kessex hills” or "moltan allaince attacking dredgehaunt cliffs’)
-lionguard refugee help, continue looting LA to get hairlooms and assist the lion guard with reffugees (like breaking up brawls before they esculate into mass panic, keep the peace)

the only trident skill that i’d say needs changing: earth 3 (magnetic current)
its a self knock to the target that does low damage, only use i see for it is a minimal get away option that most likely wont work at all

also blasting staff should affect the trident also cause in a nutshell the trident is an underwater staff

i’d rate it at 6/10
feels like all your armor is in the upper area where as your legs look like some tanned leather pants. other then that the armor looks above average

now cause i feel evil, my ele has 4 armor sets(each filling a different role, much easier changing armor vs changing traits and armor to match)
