the movement update really took a toe of gs but to answer your question, yes gs/hm is still pretty solid.
str, arms, disc, full zerker weps, armor, trinkets. str or hoelbrak runes.
whatever food and sigils you want. simple as that.
As much as we want anet to fix our bugs (rush, bulls charge, earthshaker, etc..), take our suggestions seriously or give us an awesome specializations, its probably not going to happen and we all know that. For example the way they nerfed warhorn because someone thought it didnt fit the warrior theme. lmao like seriously? WGAF its a fantasy game, anything can happen such as stealth, teleports, invulnerability, etc… but warriors cant convert a condition into a boon with the only offhand weapon that has support, while other classes can convert, transfer, steal and remove boons.
anyways thats not the main point, the point of this thread is about warriors skills.
i believe a warrior, master of combat weapons, should have better melee combat skills. so my suggestion is to nerf warrior’s damage in exchange of better skills, such as skills with more evades(whirlwind).
a warrior should be able to attack a foe while being able of countering/evading them within close range. they should be able to have the agility of a thief except the whole shadowstep and stealth, obviously. some examples of the other profession’s skills are Death Blossom, Withdraw, Serpent’s Strike, Burning Speed, Blurred Frenzy, etc…
i think this could really fit the theme of a warrior since all of our skills are pretty much graphical. this could at least make the class more entertaining, add more close gappers (because we only have nerfed gs and sword) and add some skill to the class.

i have always had a hard time with mesmers tbh but thats not what bothers me. what bothers me is that their stealth now seems too long, they can easily escape and reset while being able to spam the whole field and do it all over again. sounds familiar?
for all i care is just the stealth duration. i dont think mesmers should have long duration of stealth or as much access to gain duration to stealth, especially since clones are their thing. that alone already makes it hard, having to stop and focus or clicking on most of the clones.

well i thought the guy was done cleansing since that would have been the 3rd time being pin down and flurry…if you notice at the beginning when i first pin him down and flurry, i gave him 21 stacks of bleeding and drop him to about 25% his health until he shrouded and removed everything

You could have popped Healing Sig at 1:06 to shrug off the impact of most of those condis.You didn’t weapon swap enough, and didnt combo off yourself enough. At 0:56 for example, you could have swapped back to sword, done skill 4 to combo a burning projectile, and then 2 to leap through your firefield, grab a fireshield, and then get that same level 1 flurry you did at 1:05 instead.
I saw lots of other times you should have swapped for one reason or another but didnt, esp. with brawlers recovery.
Also why pop zerker/doly at the same time and at the very start? I dont know what the endure pain pop was all about either.
Also, seems like no one realizes this but me:

/mindblownPlus that necro was sorta questionable. Regardless of what happened prior, the fight was his for the taking as soon as you went down. But instead of healing (his heal CD was 21s in, couldnt see which he was running), or backing up, and left/right strafing to avoid your rock throws, he just walks up to stomp at 1% life and gets nailed. And he does this to a Warrior. As a necro with only a downed fear between him and your veng stomp. After SEEING you use doly sig earlier and with plenty of life left to get veng off in time.

i wasnt into the firefield combo in this fight because the guy wasnt even dodging anything. i was more focus on putting pressure and conditions but the guy keep removing them. for the not enough swapping, idk what you mean by that. i dont swap as soon as those 5sec are in cooldown, sometimes i just wait a few more seconds for another skill before i swap. so at that 1:00 i didnt swap asap i waited for pin down and then flurry to stack more bleeding but he just removed those conditions ;(
as for the fireshield, sometimes i feel like im trapping my own self in that fire and just trying to get those combos instead of putting pressure. but its my different playstyle and maybe thats what killed me but tbh i did forget about healing signet lol as im still use to not activating it. i just hope you understand what i was trying to do and how this guy removed all of my conditions so fast when i was expecting to go down quick.

as for your build, i dont see any pwning as a bunker without crits and critical damage with only regular base damage output. not only that but i dont see where you are getting all of this winning rates from, is not like youre dueling 1vs1. in pvp it all consist of a whole group working together to win. you could be the best player in that whole group but if your team sucks or if the other team is better, then..you get the point.
btw shoutbow got nerfed pretty bad, from longbow burning condition, warhorn conditions->boons, charge warhorn skill, and shouts while all ingame damage output was increased to the point where shouts cant support much anymore.
last thing, dont feel offended if people dont reply to your threads, maybe theyre just not interested or maybe they dont have a wow to give you. for example me, from time to time i just like to read forums without replying to a single topic for weeks even if the topic is so engaging.

Still i cant understand people dueling in wvw.. idk is it meaningful actually.
It’s not meaningful for a warrior,
first is because warriors are weak in pvp compared to wvw
Second is stats and armor customization
Third is not being able to change builds on the fly like in pvp unless if they are actually carring that armor with them.
Usually everyone has a all around build to survive from random invaders that they might run into. instead of just watching someone duel in pvp and then changing their build to just counter them.
Last is open space, buffs, food and no trolls lol

I remember runescape’s epic failed with the introduction of their new combat system a couple of years ago. They went from having around 120-150k players online daily to 40-60k. I even left the game :P
Anet gives us updates and we share our feedback in forums, reddit or whatever site Anet seeks feedback from. This takes time, jumping from website to website, going through threads and finally having a employee or whoever it is to decide whether that information is important or not.
A lot of us players discuss updates all the time within in-game, youtube, twitch, other site’s forums and even teamspeak. Yet, Anet is not getting all of our feedback and they just focus on what they want their source and feedback to be. Most of us forums users are the same people posting and suggesting things over and over again. Basically making us the minority and the people Anet is getting feedback from. But what about the majority of the players who just log in and play, not forum friendly, or just dont speak up but still have their opinion towards the game. They’re talking and no one is listening, all part of miscommunication between customer and a company.
My suggestion is to introduce a questionnaire poll system within in-game. This way all players who actually play the game can send feedback to Anet. I’m talking about major updates that affect the entire game. Voting whether players like, dislike, reverts, does not affect me or do mot wish to participate type of answers can give Anet an idea of how the entire game population feels about certain updates.
My current idea is to add such feature in the character selecting screen with a new icon. This way it doesn’t interrupt with anyone and if a player wishes to not participate then they’ll be fine but they will always have that option. Post polls should be submitted every week, having between 5-10 question or have top concerns or suggestion by players that Anet might want to consider.
Anyways, you get the idea. Do you guys think this could be a good feedback feature instead of just having Anet throwing us sticks and rocks while expecting us to dodge everything.
I agree with this topic and I think Anet should have a poll over this change as it effects us players playing the game. Not just because Anets think players are crossing the map too fast.
Anet made the game but we’re the ones who bought it and play it. Therefore we should have the right to vote in what updates we want and which ones we don’t.

To the Limit is just, ehh! unless you want that adrenaline and support, other than that healing signet will heal more over time.
the downside of healing signet is if someone keeps putting poison on you then that healing is being reduce but compared to the limit you can always wait for that open window before activating it

Hey guys so this build is more of a Kill or be Killed type of style but also has a defensive side just by changing a trait line. If you haven’t checked out the link then I’ll just explain how the build works.
The name of the build is pretty obvious, it mainly focuses on critical chance and to achieve that we abuse Signet Mastery which is in the Arms trait line. If you already have full berserker, you should have 45-50% critical chance but you can actually achieve 70-75% critical chance with Signet Mastery and 90-95% with fury. If you’re wondering how, this is actually pretty simple. Signet Mastery can up 5 stacks of precision and we can do that by activating our signets multiple times. For example when you waypoint to WvW, you should activate all 3 signets giving you already 3 stacks of precision. Since Signet of Rage has a cool down of 48 seconds, you can actually activate Healing Signet 3 times since it has a cool down of 16 seconds. That alone can already give you 4 stacks of precision and the 5th one by activating Signet of Rage again.
So when do I do this? You should be able to stack precision while roaming from camp to camp, tower, keep or whatever it is that you’re doing. What probably will get annoying is stacking precision and activating Signets all the time and keeping up with how many stacks of precision you want.
The second thing is bursting as often as you can and landing the hits to take advantage of Berserker’s power and the high crits. But no need to worry since we have Furious, gaining adrenaline is a piece of cake!
Third, is managing conditions. Since we are warriors and are always on sight so invaders can always see how conditions we have. Therefore, Runes of Hoelbrak, Lemongrass[Poultry and Leek soup is way cheaper] and Brawler’s Recovery can help us deal with that. Of course you can always change the food and move to Destruction of the Empowered to deal even more damage.
Last thing is going defensive, switching from Arms to Defense will make a difference.
The difference is less crits but more survivability[depends if you can kill fast enough] and more condition cleansing. Defense: 2-1-2

Anyways, the bundling of Lung capacity and Inspiring Shouts shouldn’t be a reason to nerf Vigorous Shouts, especially since traits dont grand stats anymore. After all over, Forceful Greatsword, Axe Mastery, Signet Mastery, Shield Master, Last Stand, Warrior’s Sprint and Vengeful Return were all put together with their relative traits without nerfs and the same goes for some of the other professions.
As for the relocation of the other traits, shoutbow is not the only build that uses tactics or healing shouts nor should it revolve around it. Sure a few days ago we weren’t able to use X trait with X, so they should have just left them alone. instead they nerf vigorous shouts, removed desperate powers, removed fast healer, removed inspiring banners[+50% radius, -20% CD], gave us the useless powerful synergy and inspiring presence and balance burning arrows with the auto burning and 10% damage. you see this does more harm than good, of course some people wouldnt know this because they dont use tactics. cough!
as for the healing of shouts with and without lung capacity, you can see the nerf from a small to a large scale and so on if would happen to add celestial or healing power.
before patch lung capacity:
without 1480/25=59.2 healing/s,
with 1480/20=74 healing/s
after patch bundle:
1000/20=50 healing/s

What offhand set are you running with your 66006 setup?I was using dual swords for the mobility, block, and burst. I thought I’d get more out of Flurry to set up the gs, but immobilize seems almost useless with all the condi clears, resistance, and effects that clear it or kill the duration.
i have only tried gs & hammer but im pretty sure gs & axe and shield should be just as strong. Even though Arms is for conditions, the main focus are for Signet Mastery, Unsuspected Foe and Furious.
just because it was the meta in pvp, it doesnt mean it was superior to all the other profession builds or unbeatable. it was just the best effective support build in pvp for warrior. especially since direct damage in pvp for warrior is kitten compare to conditions
I would rather have them remove the useless Inspiring Presence and restore the healing shouts. Anet thinks they’re so slick by nerfing shouts and giving use inspiring presence so people wont feel much of the nerf but at the same time they remove fast healer which is another nerf.
If you dont use shouts, thats fine. direct damage got a buff and im happy for everyone[even me] but anet is nerfing our support line for no reason. it was never abused or OP. They were just healing shouts supporting the group. I was one of the few people who used shouts as offensive while taking advantage of the 30% boon duration for might stacking and also contributing in a party.
The only builds i see healing shouts being use on would be in pvp as celestial shoutbow or tanky support builds. while shoutbow and tanky support builds in wvw arent recommended since there are better builds and making them completely useless in pve.
anyways, its all nerfs guys and the fact that the anet keeps nerfing warrior is the big problem. Theyre not helping us but slowly sinking us. Right now conditions and other professions gain damage buffs, but come on its just a matter of time when anet is going to nerf direct damage on warrior and i already see it coming.
Im just stun of how far 66006 can go. I can easy keep stacking precision with signet mastery to almost 100% just by activating signet of rage and healing signet multiple times before a fight. whirlwind actually hits all hits because of the movement update and with stacking might +10% damage is a little too good thb. last thing is berserker’s power, its just op! im not asking for a nerf but i wouldnt be surprise if they do nerf them.

Shoutbow still works. It’s not 1k heal with celestial it’s 1560 heal. And with inspiring presence heal it’s closer to 1700 heal.
you mean “it is” 1k and with celestial its 1560, plus you need 25 stacks of might for inspiring presence to heal 1705.
good luck getting 25 stacks of might in order to heal 1705 when before the patch you were healing 1874 with just celestial alone and 2054 if you had at least 4 points in defense.
anyways if those numbers seen small then why did anet had to take off 480 healing per shout which is a 33% nerf

I have a small itch that i cant scratch and now is getting very irritated! basically i play with a razer orbweaver which is a keypad, if you dont know what it is. well when i fight/duel/wvw/pvp or whatever you want to call it, “engage” :P the keys dont activate on the first press/click/type and it just jeopardize my game play. i would like to fix this problem but i dont know what is it. so i came to the conclusion if its either the kaypad or server not responding as well as i thought it was from my location and my ping averages between 30-60ms.
another example is when im fighting/dueling and i try to move forward/front it doesnt and im just there pressing the key forward/front and but nothing until i move to another direction and then able to move forward.
anyone knows whats causing this, have the same problem or knows how to fix it.

They tripe killed my offensive shout build, from the boon duration to the stats to the main core, shouts. I was fine since everyone lost the duration bonuses and stats but the 1,000 healing is nerve-racking.
Healing Signet: In 30 seconds heals 10,860
To the Limit: 6,540 30 seconds CD
To the Limit with Vigorous Shouts: 7,540 with 24 Seconds CD
Remove the 5 adrenaline and restore the healing on Vigorous shouts?

I don’t do pvp but is pretty much “almost” the same thing. Who knows what they might do to the amulets. For pve, well no comment on that one, just stick to berserker.
Edit: “To the Limit” now heals for 6500~ and does not scale with adrenaline.
