What is with people wanting Queen Jennah dead? What did she ever do to you?

They think killing most important characters in lore is exciting. Jennah is last heir of throne (probably as whisper representant in story mentioned)
What would happen if she die? Caudecus will take rule? Let bandids walk freely in Divinity’s reach and end peace with charr? And then Logan will want revange on him ( becouse who else would want Jennah death, at least this is what will Logan think). He will kill him or try to do it and put Kryta in civil war and probably rest of world too, becouse they are now friends with Brimstone again and he would be very angry at Caudesus decision to end peace.
I dont think this or similar is lore they want.

If you want to be DMG machine here it is :-)
I use this build with only few differences. Instead of mace a i have warhorn + 10 more traits in tactics taken from discipline to boost warhorn. It is becouse i want to be more supportive for my guild in fractals and dungeons. DMG is lower just a little.
If you have guild and you do runs with motly the same people, maybe you will need to do some changes too to serve you party as they need. :-)
Also do not forget to have some ranged weapon in inventory.

I belive every token count as one vote so 10 tokens 10 votes, 8 tokens 8 votes. First i thought it is not fair, but then my guildmates told me that this is probably to ensure, votes of active players will be more valued than votes of someone who is in game 2 hours per month. And it actualy makes sence. As active player a want my vote to be more valued than vote of someone who just put some token in basket without even knowing what is going on…
If there are people that wants to grind result, do not worry, they are on both sides so it is still fair :-)

Some people said warriors have viable builds. For non-tournament games….yes, but every other class have builds that are much more better then warrior. Simply…If you are good as warrior, you would be much more better as any different class.
And for tournaments? Why would i pick my warrior when i go tournaments with my guild, if i can pick my guardian or thief? Seriosly why would i do that?

The options menu allow you to change the visual effects from best appearance to best performance. I hardly see any particle effects. Though, most of the spells are still there when we zerg bosses like in Maw.

There are no options exactly for spells. Like i said there is no need to see 10 same aoe on one place. And there is still room for lowering detail of spells like texture resolution…again exactly for spells :-)

Hello,

I would like to suggest something to increase performance in WvW and big group events. GW2 has no possibility to lower detail of spells or particle dencity if spell is made by particles. This helps to increase performance in many games a lot. Also in big events i cant sometimes even see myself or boss i am hitting. If 10 eles using lava font or meteor shower on one boss or place (gate) i do not have to see all of them :-) So lowering amount of visible spells on screen (at least aoe) could help too.
I hope i will see some feedbacks from others becouse i think this could really hepl :-)

Few times i was almost first, but at the end someone always got before me. And it is realy selfish if the same player will do it again and than again. No one has to let anyone win but if he has archiev already it is collegial to let others get it. If i will have archievment, I will gladly stop before finish and let someone else to get it.

Few months ago some chinese from hefei tried to log in to my account too. Bud i had no problem to change my password to something realy long in my mother lanquage. I doubt this amateur even knows how to write in it :-D

I guess he wants to say by this video that you only have to fight really bad players to shine with your full offense speced warrior.

1:35: Squishiest warrior ever. Maybe undergeared. Not even popping his SoR although he seems to start the fight. -.-
1:46: Thief doesnt even know what he is doing.
2:22: Necro already running. Surprised by a roamer. Low level thief is trying to help out but lacks of everything.
2:54: Little ranger harvesting in the woods surprised by a roamer. Again.
3:55: The ranger trys to disengage with poor luck. Suddenly wild guarding appears. But he is just walking into 100b, standing still, waiting for death. Like a boss.
4:38: You can almost smell the fear of that thief by seeing an enemy. He doesnt know what to do. He didnt want to fight at all.
4:52: Random thief without any stealth, evades, shadowsteps.
5:43: Finishing off an almost dead guy struggeling with a sentry. But getting the “WOW O.o” by some random asura exposed. Pathetic!
6:48: Fighting a guard for a little longer. Warrior is at the advantage but falls off the cliff by accident. No Problem. Clever guard dont want to take the chance to reg life. NO! Just go straight in fight again and die like a boss. Reminds me of Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels… in “Dumb and Dumber”.
7:08: Guard without Def and Damage (Remember, the warrior in the vid uses full zerker gear. 2.5k Def and he gets no damage.). Good job.
7:40: Again a squishy guard already struggling with a sentry. But just look at what he is doing at 7:40 (at 50% life). He is like: “Omg… This warrior is trying to 100b me from that range? I should help poor little warrior out and take a step closer.” Thanks brain-afk!
The end: “never give up”…. when you have a 2v1… at your advantage.

Moreover, almost none of the victims he fought used nurishment.

And so on and so forth… I bet I missed some more.

This is a typical “Look-I-Can-Cut-Togther-Some-Kills-I-Made-During-Hours-Of-Playtime-Video”. No challenge!

Id like to see a video of him facing one half-competent player who knows when to push and when to disengage. This warrior might be a good one but the video is just crap. At least in my opinion.

Yes. This why i would like to see real play and not only some winning fights.

I think he wated to show me that warrior is not that bad as i say in my post. But the video is from WvW and i was talking abou S and Tpvp. And that is quite different. I thougt it is obvious what i mean if say ,,I am testing class in PVP" :-)
But nice roaming build anyway. But still would be nice to see real success ability of that build. Not only fights where it wins but also where is lose :-) This will learn sometimes more than only videos of wins.

Hello,

i am in phace of testing some classes in PVP to decide which will be my new alt and last few days i tested warrior a lot.
And i have to say that i found only one style how to be helpfull to my buddies in fight: Hammer Knock-machine. And even this is not what would amaze me.
Everything else is just useless. GS most useless of all. Enemy would have be blind to let warrior land full hit on him even with B. Charge.
Dont take me wrong, i am not complaining or calling for buff personaly. I dont even really play warrior so i have nothing to complain about. I am just surprised how this class perform in PVP. Ofcourse i heard lot of opinions that warrior is weakest class in PVP and so on…But now i understand why so many people say it.
PVP is not only factor for me and that hammer build was not that bad so i can still decide for warior. But even if i will not pick it: Come on Anet! As a objective player i say that warrior needs HUGE improvement. And if you are not sure what i mean by word ,,huge" image all objects in Solar system united together in to one big ball. This is half what i mean by word ,,HUGE".

Around half year ago when i started to play GW2 most used build was S/p. I liked that. I wasnt good at it becouse i was newcomer, but i liked that. Then they killed this build. So if we thiefs wanted to continue to play burst builds we had to use D/D and D/P after some time and some nerfs they decided to finaly nerf one of our most important burst skill (mug) and give us boos for S/D. Probably becouse they thought it will not be as ,,bursty" as D/D and D/P. Maybe they wanted us to play more tanky build with it, but we thiefs dont give up so easily and we continue to play style we want. So what they did now? They nerfed S/D, they nerfed cluster bomb which is absolutely unexplainable (does not mean they tryed to explain it. That would mean to comunicate with us about things we dont like and that is what they rarely do.) And they boost condition playstyle. Conditions? What do they think? That i will abandon fun that direct DMG gives me for some bleeding? I am thinking about creating necro as my Alt and maybe i will have condion build, but i want my Thief to be hard hitting foe for everyne who is not staying in corner! This is fun for me and i will never stop to play this style unless they totaly forbid or somehow destroy this playstyle. And if they do it i will stop to play thief or entire game.
So do i still have fun? Yes Will i have fun in future if they will continue they ,,Nerf wars" NO.

AC rebalance is one of the worst thing happened to this game

To tell the truth “GW2 balance changes” are overall the worst thing happened to an awesome game.

Sometimes simple dodge in right time is better tactic than something new ,more complex but not working well.
I personaly really like only Kholer. One of the best boss in game in my opinion. Shame is most of people want to skip him for ,,saving time" but more probably becouse most people do not know how to dodge :-D
Spider queen got improvement too, but i dont like her like Kholer. See is fair.

As for AC, its a fact no one wants to do anymore. At this point in time, it isnt because of buggy mechanics, annoying CC spam or inexplicable frame lags but its because everyone got what they needed and only do COF to farm gold. One can only conclude that in attempt to appease the ,,elitists", Mr Hrouda satisfied no one and wasted his design team’s time.

I agree.

People don’t do AC anymore. It’s easy to say “some people like content that requires coordination”, but you don’t see even those groups doing AC nowadays. Same thing with the Karka Queen event in Southsun – it requires some coordination to capture and hold all camps and later to defeat the Queen. But people simply doesn’t bother with it.

Making challenging content is nice. But the dungeons are badly designed now. They are too time consuming for PUGs and so PUGs don’t bother with them, and too easy and simply not fun for coordinated guild groups, who also don’t bother with them.

Besides, making extensive content exclusively for coordinated groups isn’t a good idea – it’s wasting too many resources on too small a group. In this context, the idea that ALL paths of ALL dungeons would require organized groups is bad.

What ArenaNet should have done was making all dungeons so the first path is easy (as in, doable by the majority of PUGs) and making sure the important rewards are only given once per day per path (unlike CoF, in which the important reward – gold – is given as many times as you do the dungeon).

This way, PUGs would have access to those rewards and would have ways to understand a bit how dungeons work, while the organized groups would have access to the same rewards in one third of the time. This would even encourage PUG players to try to become better so they can also do the other two paths and get their rewards faster.

There will be probably the problem. If people think it is worth bothering. For some too easy to bother and for some to hard as you said and of course for some too bugy to bother.

Well, I guess you are one of those bad dungeon runners I get PUGed sometimes. Only the bosses mechanics changed, so stop complaining if you cant kill the spider queen or get past the burrows

And yet the dungeons were supposed to be there for organized groups.
95% of the game is completely possible to do for even “bad” players without every talking to anyone at all, and yet people gets crazy when the little things that is supposed to require some communications starts to actually require communication.

Why do people feel the need that they should be able to do every single thing in the game without thinking or working for it?

Now 95% is possible to do without comunication but if all will require it 95% of random groups will fail :-D
I do not know why people feel it that way. I just dont want to see furute where people leaving game becouse they feel its too unfriendly for them if they want to play mots with randoms. And too unfriendly it is actualy becouse they wanted it…

Maybe we just need to push the idea of creating more dungeon guilds (for newcomers and for vets). It just sucks to have to rely on GW2LFG in my opinion.

I personally have had much better luck (and runs) in dungeons when I created a dungeon guild with a solid player base of people with the same mindset as myself. I mean, finding a group of guys to add to your friends list helps a ton when trying to find dungeon groups.

I think many players would benefit from joining a like-minded dungeon guild rather than creating a PUG group. In my opinion, the challenge is finding groups to do dungeons with since many new players (and those who play sporadically) sometimes do not have the time (and maybe patience) to risk joining/creating a random PUG group.

I mean, at least with a guild/big friends list you at least have had some interaction with the players whereas it is sometimes rare to find the same people in GW2LFG.

Yes with guild is everything much better. GW2LFG has no purpose if most non guild group fail. I remember how lot of people wanted some ,,Dungeon finder or LFG tool" directly in game. If every dungeon will be like AC it would be useless, becouse grouping with random people will just fail in most of time.
Maybe if every dungeons would have 2 difficulties could help too. One for guild groups and one for random groups. This is not impossible to create. Fractals have difficulty scaling and it works well. But this is just my idea how i would make compromise.

They have implied that they will get around to fixing the other dungeons also, CoF hopefully being at the top of the list.

If you are worried about finding groups for the dungeon, in my experience an AC exp group is being put together roughly every 5 minutes on gw2lfg.com, so this is a non issue.

For now, AC is way BETTER. They increased the challenge, thus made it a far more entertaining experience. It takes some semblance of skill and coordination to complete, especially to complete quickly.

If you do not want/can not handle increased difficulty, there is always CoF or open world PvE grinding available to you. Then once you have improved your skills, you can return to the dungeon and try again, to reap the rewards that your greater ability will bring.

As you could read above it is not about me and how i handle dungeon :-) Finding group in 5 minutes on LFG is possible like for every other dungeon, but compare it with pre-patch AC.
You may like changes and i admit they have sence, but it really drove most people out of this dungeon. What will happen if they will change every dungeon this way?
I just try look in to the future. AC can serve as example how people react. They say we love this and after few months the dungeon is totaly empty. I dont think those 5 groups across whole europe on lfg can be considered as ,,full dungeon".
If changing one dungeon to require more coordination can hurt its population so much what can changing every dungeon do with population of whole game?
They uncompromisingly rewrite dungeon and result is empty dungeon. No matter changes are good or fun the result is bad.

daros, I played all of the professions but mesmer (can’t stand the play stile) and found that, of the three you listed, necros last longer. Also, one day I looked up health on wiki and found that wars and necros have the most max heath and eles, guardians, and thieves have the lest. The other three are in the middle. Hope that helps.

AC is not that hard if you do it with guild mates. Even the new AR that is praised for its diffculty can be done quickly with guild mates and TS and it is fun.
But it is undoable with PUGs in most of time. And there is really lot of pugs in game. They are important part of player base becouse game need as most players as it can have. Not everyone is active guild member and play only with his friends. And i fear if they will change all dungeons like they changed AC most of those ,,PUGs" will leave game and start play some more ,,Pug friendly" games. I think Anet know this and that is why they never changed any other dungeon like they changed AC. They had lot of time to do it already.

Because rushing to fix stuff will most likely end up breaking them even more?
They are most likely working on fixing it, but they need it to be a good balance, and they need it to make sense.

People simply need to listen and reflect about what is happening. And most people actually don’t have an issue with that.

Than your group is not PUG group. At least not ordinary. Becouse you lead and explain tactic just like you would do it in guild group. But your way is not so common as you may think. Normaly people just expect everyone know what to do, and if group fail they leave and find another group where they expect everyone know what to do and if it fail again they leave and again……

PUG != noob group

A pug can be coordinated and just as good as a guild group. A guild group can be horrible as a noob group.

I never said PUGs are noobs. Actualy in my posts i was deffending them.
PUG to me means Group made by people that do know each other, have no coordination through TS, Skype or something.
Just 5 random people with no one who leads them, that entered dungeon together.
They can succeed, but if dungeon requires good coordination they fail in most of time. And this is fact. The more coordintion and tactic dungeon require, no matter if it is hard or easy, the more pug groups failing.
And that is why i fear changing all other dungeons like AC. I fear it could drive lot of people out of game as same as it droved them out of AC.

From changes of this dungeon Anet never changed any other dungeon like they did to AC. Why? If they think they did good work and this is good way how dungeons shoud look, they shoud change other dungeons too.

Shortly after the AC revamp, Robert Hrouda was moved to the Living Story team. I’ve seen no word about a replacement, or if he is splitting his time. Whether this speaks to a decision ANet made about the success of the AC changes, or about internal priorities as to what gets done when is known only to them. Thus, inferring there have been no further dungeon revamps because they don’t like what was done to AC is at best wild speculation.

I dont argue with you. It is speculation. But it does not mean it can not be truth. But one think is certain. They do not want their dungeons empty.

Thanks for opinions :-) Necro looks like good fun to me. It has nice diversity of play styles. And I created some quick Axe/dagger and dagger/dagger build and was able to compete against other players even as inexperienced necro.
I cant say the same about warrior. It seems he deppends to much on his utility skills and if they are on CD you just stay and hope to survive until they are usable again :-D
Maybe i just need to test it more. Until that thread is still open for more opinions :-)

The main issue at the moment is that CoF P1 is so kitten easy that most people don’t bother doing anything else.
When they change that and makes people think (like the new AC bosses) people will “abandon” that one as well. And when all dungeons have had that chance people will simply go and do dungeons because they want to do them, not because they are easy to do without thinking.

But why they never changed at least CoF 1? I must agree with you and others with 2 facts.
CoF 1 is super easy.
AC is not that hard if you do it with guild mates. Even the new AR that is praised for its diffculty can be done quickly with guild mates and TS and it is fun.
But it is undoable with PUGs in most of time. And there is really lot of pugs in game. They are important part of player base becouse game need as most players as it can have. Not everyone is active guild member and play only with his friends. And i fear if they will change all dungeons like they changed AC most of those ,,PUGs" will leave game and start play some more ,,Pug friendly" games. I think Anet know this and that is why they never changed any other dungeon like they changed AC. They had lot of time to do it already.

AC is fine, P3 is a faceroll, P2 is extremely fast and probably half the length is from Ghost Eater, and P1 is another faceroll if your team isn’t a giant pile of fail constantly wiping at Hodgins.

My intention was not to say this dungeon is too hard but that those changes actualy caused that this dungeon is no longer used :-) And this is truth. Difficulty may be the reason and maybe not. Or maybe it is one of reasons. But like i said, my post is not intended to complain about its difficulty.

Before famous patch that changed everything this dungeon was most frequented. Now it is death. Whan patch was released so many people here posted theads about how they are happy about changes and they love this dungeon now. Now after all that time it is clear it was just euphoria which is lost now. Where are all those people who love this dugeon so much becouse it is so challenging that they finaly have reason to do this dungeon more often? Changes killed this dungeon.
Maybe there are still people that does not agree with me but there are some clear facts they cant deny:
Dungeon is empty. It is rare to find at least 60+ group and 35+ people that would like to lvl throught this dungeon have no chance becouse no one will take them in group. Before changes they could.
From changes of this dungeon Anet never changed any other dungeon like they did to AC. Why? If they think they did good work and this is good way how dungeons shoud look, they shoud change other dungeons too. An there are candidates for it.
For example CoF. They changed it a little, but this changes made it easier.
CoF has all preconditions for this. As same as AC did. It serves like gold farm and lot of people think it is hurting economy. It helps fresh 80 lvls to gear up. It is easy and really quick to complete. It can serve for levling. AC had all this too and was changed to ,,challanging dungeon". So why they never changed at least CoF this way? I thing it is becouse Anet know they made mistake.
I hope i am right and they will never change any dungeon the way they did to AC or dungeoneering will be presented in game only by fractals. Everything else will be empty.

I do not know exactly how many boxes i opened, but i am spending aroud 3g per day for them since event is up, so count it if you want.
My goal is 2 ticket for my main and one for my alt. I got 2 in first week of event but since that i cant get the last one. I am starting to be sad, if i would keep all that farmed gold i would be rich by now :-D

Hello to all,

I am considering creating new alt after last patch. And i would like to ask some questions about necromancer.
How is direct dmg necro doing now after patch in all PVP, wvw and PVE now. Is bad, viable or realy good? I know it is debatable and depends on skill, but what i am interesting about are opinions of people who play necromacers. Some links to builds would help me too :-)
Also what are necros advanteges over Elementalits or warriors, which are classes i am thinking about too. Again i am not asking which class it better but there are surely some advanteges and disadvanteges compared to this 2 classes.
I know you could just tell me ,,go and try it" but I am sure you opnions can help me to decide and save lot of time spended by levling, testing and comparing :-D

Stability is not unlimited(also not every class has it). We made it until the 3rd phase. Before then the pull was not that annoying but then it instantly killed and people trying to ress die too.

you could dodge? i mean there are only 2 golems out max. that’s not hard to keep track of. alternatively break line of sight with crates or use stunbreakers; those instantly cancel the knockdown you suffer when being pulled by golems

Dodge on box? Good luck….You have to stand on boxes to avoid lower laser. So you Can NOT dodge it or break line of side.

well i guess i was wrong every single one of the six times i beat the boss without taking damage from lasers :S

And i guess i was wrong every single one of 50 pulls whit 7 different groups and never did it. :S
Like i said INV and show me how easy for you it is. Becouse i do not belive is doable. After 20 pulls i still did but now i dont.

I got pulled by the golems a lot actually. Dodges and stun breakers make the pull nothing to worry about at all.

AGAIN we are talking about pull when you have to stand on box…..

You don’t stay on the same box. You need to move around and use other boxes — it’s really not that hard. You just have to stay mobile.

Ofcource you dont stay on same box :-D But this will not prevent golem to pull you…
