yes and it work against newbie mesmer very well. but i know my enemy, its simple counter blind just dont summoning phantom in first second of batle. and when i blinded i just press autoatack 1 time, and it remove blind and when u miss without target

u all speak now about many vs many, when op ask about 1v1. and in that moment no1 cant beat phantasm mesmer.
but couple (mb more) month ago, phantasm mesmer been overpowered in siege batlle. blind dont interupt summon, u can drop izerk on wall to kill treb or ac if u tagget it. phantasm fallow half of map. mb somewhen in future phantom back in large battle or be neerfed in 1v1, mb then shatter build be beter

and in group figh, no1 care life mesmer or not, liedown veil and timewarp u can die, its not like eles field or warrior/guard balst. so it doesnt matter witch build u use in group

dont use defender and if i die only from another phantasm mesmer. shatter mesmer to weak. if i avoid first 2 shatter, oponent cant do something with me, avoid shater much more easy than phantasm. and all players have self combo style. so it autopilot to

stop blobing guys. ur players so bad in small scale or just roaming. try some duels, learn ur proffesion. and mb latter u dont need 100500 to kill x2 less ppl. now ur strategy is: 80(DE) unskiled vs 40(others) skilled, we (DE) create skill lag and they cant show they skill haha. our (DE) startegy is correct and powerfull haha.

never. NEVER. NEVER!!!!! buy ring from laurel. it take 35 day for ring. when in fractal if u dont get it from daily chest u can buy it in 10 days.

as for your weapon swap question Seras you will want to carry every weapon with you you’ll be changing a lot in given situations.

also from an Engineer a very active class with lots of combinations skill slot wise you will not be disappointed with the mesmer, of course engi’s have more with kits and things.

Thief’s are also extremely active with no CD’s you need to keep you eye on resources while moving and positioning yourself, a lot.

in wvw i dont have any problems with bunkers, especialy rangers. only have problem if enemy spam blind (thief d/p) and spam daze (thief s/d). interupts phantasm cast is nothing , becouse u sumon it again after 1-2 sec. if blinded. need wait much more
and imposible dodge avoid or something else if 3 phantasm is up.

he cant dodge all time. phantasm atack rate is 5.5 sec and 7 sec. iduelist atack and under stealh+ its long time atack so after dodge u still get dmg. and going away from hide 0.01 sec. u still gedt 12-15k dmg if 3 phantasmas are up (25k-30k in 5.5-7 sec 37k-45k in 11-14 sec)

imo. ilusion persona just overestimation. ofc its good sometimes, but lose 10 or 20 point only for 1sec desortion to much. some mesmers minor trait better than some grandmaster traits

but dont forget if lie iwarden in combo field. like ethernal its aoe confusion, or in water field its aoe cond removal

focus is stronges wepon, if traited it give u 2 project reflection. if u fight again ranged atack enemy, u just stay near iwarden. and enemy take dmg back. if it meele enemy, u stay near iwarden, and enemy take dmg from i warden (like i said, if traited u get regen boon) + swiftnes

As a thief, here’s my view for fighting these builds as a thief.

For one thing, this is one of the very, very few situations where I approve of the D/D weapon combo, which, personally, I have always despised. Actually, anything with /D is decent here, as CnD is very good against illusions, particularly if they stay out for a long period of time.

Furthermore, burst is an absolute essential; there’s no doubt about it whatsoever. You have to be extremely aggressive against a phanta mesmer and try to burst them down as quickly as possible, in order to prevent them from destroying you with their phantasms. What the phantasm mesmer lacks in some areas, like toughness or aggression, it makes up for multiple times with its phantasms.

So, the solution? Be extremely aggressive.

u know CnD on phantasms dont work.(i mean work ofc but benefits 0) dd thief go off from stealh anyway somewhen, u just spamimg phantasm button. and summon it if see thief only 0..01 sec. and iPhantasm hit u still

Why would you end with an interrupt? The only interrupts in your build are F3 and GS5, so ending with an F3 is kinda counter-intuitive.

What I would do as a GS S/T shatterer is start with Torch4 —> Blink onto them as it finishes --> Roll + Mirror Images + F3 —> Sword 3 + Roll --> Sword 3 + Sword 2 —> Roll + F1 --> GS2,4,5 Roll Shatter —> Torch 5 --> Torch 4 —> Roll as it finishes --> Sword 3 —> Shatter --> Sword 3 —> Sword 2 --> etc etc etc

Your method gives wayyy too much opening right after you nuke them. Unless you aren’t nuking them hard, it’s really an unattractive way of fighting them and requires so much more skill and effort than whakitten ’s worth. You can just start off with some standard interrupt/disrupt control and then work your way into a shatter factory.

not so easy like u say, phant mesmer have same skill like shatter, diferent only shatter have shorter cooldown, when phant mesmer have 30% more phant dmg. and have same blink, decoy, blured, ileap, and dodge ofc.

when start playing my main been mesmer with rare bleed build and full rampager set with 100% crit rate. about 400h. then abit bored of mesmer i leveled guard, thief, ranger, then D/D water elementalist. i think “omg, so cool, im cant be beaten. im so strong!!!” but after a while i understand, its double bored against mesmer, ele just spam piano button without any tactics. so i back to mesmer and i happy. try-ed a lot of builds, buy alot of different gears. and change it almost every dayfor more excitement

then i offer u remove 15 points from iliusion (ofc u loose 15% shater recharge on heal and 150 cond dmg) and put in dueling, then u have 43% base crit. and take protected mantras. use pistol ofc
leave 5 points in illusion tree for phantasmals and decoy with mirror images

edit: but still i think we not necromancers, we must choise or we condmasters or direct dmg

3) well its depend on ur playstyle. if u wanna use focus u must trait this wep for more bonus, epic gun in alot of situation, chase enemy or block ranged atack. pistol dont rly good in this build becouse u need dueling trait tree for bliding on phatasmal crit. and it only vs 1
4)well here we can have alot of discusion, if ur group biger than 5 ppl. mass invis is uselles. time warp is good ofc but for me its to long cd, i found moa epic skill now in 1vs1 and small group <5 ppl. u just lockdown for 10 sec most danger enemy, like thief or warrior or some bunker.

but it ridiculous in wvw when on 50ppl group only 1 mesmer now. and his must have time warp, veil, null field, feedback, portal. and 0 dmg to enemy blob. im glad we dont have water, fire and lightining fields

imo for pve u better go bers armor/wep and u can use pvt trinkets.

ok after some test i can say, heal mantra not better in almost all fight, except when u under decoy or disortion. 2.75 sec still to long against thief/engi (elite) burst.
still hard against daze S/D thief. and against D/P thieves who spam blind. hard summon phantasm
