What about Bloomanoo and Penelopee? They are recurring characters throughout the LW…granted I believe their story is over cuz you know their whole arc was to find a safe place and form a family, which they do in LA…..if it doesnt get destroyed that is.

Many people are surprised that Canach is not part of our group of heroes, mostly because he has his own story gaining his freedom and shining blade stuff. But what if he becomes a recurring ally of ours? What if we get another group of heroes that help us from time to time? I would like Canach, Anise, Hero-Tron, Ellen Kiel, and Magnus to be honorary/recurring allies of whatever name we get. Thoughts?

There are probably other hidden hints here and there that haven’t been found yet. Wouldn’t know where to start. Was hoping Woodenpotatoes would have somekind of speculation video up by now, but apparently he’s on hiatus.

I’m loving these little events, im especially fond of the ley-line collector because it gives a little bit of importance to the Consortium (whom haven’t done anything significant since 2013). But this is just a question to the community: should gw2 have a current event that dealt with a character?

Such as talking with Braham who is in Hoelbrak and help him talk to other Norn (children and adults alike) about Eir’s death and prepare for a ceremony. Or talk to a bunch of Charr in the Black Citadel about Rytlock’s return and new magic. How about doing some small jobs for Delaqua Investigators with a little bit of dialogue revealing tensions between Marjory and Kasmeer. Maybe we follow a popular little golem talking to Evon about the Captain’s Council news? (hope Anet has not forgotten about Hero-Tron ).

I very much doubt they would destroy LA again. That would mean too much work for the developers and too much annoyance from players.

What would be fun to see is LA being attacked and (thanks to the upgrades) staving off the attack for once.

Oh I dont expect LA to be destroyed, I actually think the same as you, it would be getting old seeing poor LA be destroyed again :/

With the most recent patch there are visible ley lines floating about in LA (mostly in the bank are and Evon’s office and obviously the breachmaker). With the dragon minions competing to eat magic, I’m really starting to believe this image will happen AND Ellen kiel, Hero-tron, Magnus, and Evon will be involved in the season

With the news of the white mantle, Anet teased way back that the shining blade and Anise have plans for him, poor sylvari cant take a break (reminds of another popular character that also cant take a break)

I voted for “The Unbroken”. Eternity’s Guard just didn’t resonate with me and I think that the biconics handle enough non-dragon issues to not have a name that deals specifically with dragons all the time.

I’m disappointed that Canach isn’t included as part of the group though. I feel he’s earned a place with us. (Granted, I think he’s too much of a lone wolf to really enjoy working with a group for long.)

Ironically I am more interested in his story, way back Anet teased in a blopost that Anise and the Shining blade have plans for him, and now with the white mantle mini event I am more intrigued

At Momocon Leah Hoyer and Ross Justin Beeley created a character based on people’s suggestions(https://www.twitch.tv/momocontv3/v/69182362). Curiously enough they didnt hav time to finish all the details. One of them being Voice Actor/Actress. I personally recommend Leah Hoyer herself to voice the character, after all she was the one with the idea

Hero-Tron figurine!!!!

I dont really care much about the biconics but should we become part of a guild with them (rytlock said this not me :P)? I feel that the problem is in S2 and HoT they are most of the time together and fail to develop a personality. I understand they were introduced in S1 but thats exactly where they worked: Rox and Braham went on missions together after we got a separate story knowing them individually, same for Kas and Jory, and Taimi was later introduced. Up until S2 these characters had their own little story developed. I feel we should keep it that way.

There are stories that we can see with them as characters. What’s in store for Braham? Rox’s past, Kas and Jory’s detective agency, Taimi’s findings, all on their own.

Nope, the core game remains untouched (however Anet has released small lore events every 2 weeks for now). If anything it added things to the game.

I am now intrigued. In a lore Q&A post Scott said the following:

“I have no further info to share regarding the “Mordrem Guard who seemed to revert back to their original personality once given a reprieve from Mordy’s influence, Stavemaster Adryn’s backstory”, the sylvari society’s approach to “reclaiming” someone from Nightmare, and the impact of the Pale Tree’s coma on new sylvari."

He mentions the Mordrem guard reclaiming their personality, not their original form though, also Adryn is one of the heavily morphed Sylvari into a monstrous champion in DS. This gives me hope that Anet simply MIGHT not go the route “Mordy died and every sylvari is ok now” I really really hope we get an explanation to this

If this becomes a thing then gw2 hoodie here I come!

the bubble and electromagnetic are the only ones that dont resemble wings at all. Would it be too much work to have other gliding positions? or funnily enough have the same gliding position but have a magic carpet/broom below us if it were ever to become a glider? XD

I am not a PvPer and frankly dont care about it, only thing I know is that Season 3 (whatever that is) started may 17. I caught via the corner of my eye when I started gw2 that this season will be from may 17-july 11. Could this mean that lw s3 will start around the end of S3?

I understand that it was a programming competition……..but whenever I ask anyone/map chat people either dont have it or had no idea it existed. I really want this. Is there going to be another competition?……..MAYBE sell it for 1 day in the gemstore for 1000 gems? (im serious)

I really wish minis could be as fast as pets/minions/summoned allies. Is it really that hard to increase the running speed?

I really hope they will allow you to keep broom/magic carpet out instead of a glider! I agree they shouldn’t sell them as glider skins though, just make them act like the fractal legendary back-piece.

+1 something like the wings backpack, you have the toys go talk to the guy in the jungle boom! he gives you the glider skins

Gonna be honest this is like th 7th thread about magic carpet and broom to be able to glide (no love for the sonic tunneling tool T.T) and I say yes, yes they should.

I found concrete proof if we get a mini golem of this model, they have water animation so our little assistants can follow us even in the depths of the sea!

Its odd because HoHo-Tron is available from Wintersday but the main guy isn’t his own miniature :T

ye and the ho-ho-tron can get a bit annoying with the bell AND rytlock and Faren have 2 minis with different attire, why not do same thing for o-tron?

Why not ask for help? Not trying to sound patronizing but I always ask guildies/friends/lfg tool whenever I can’t solo something after 15th time. Also the “Mystery Cave boss” is a bit easier when you realize that after you se the wall on fire some minions will try to extinguish it, kill the minions (they are fairly weak) and go for the next wall and so on and so forth.

With these changes to travel items I suspect Anet will release more. I would love to have a job-o-tron golem whose arms are positioned like a “motorcycle”, we carry the golem and then ride it. Ride-r-tron!

People seem to want these toys to have swiftness by default. After that they’ll ask for something else. Eventually they’ll get it to the point where we have mounts.

travel toys ARE gw2 version of mounts.

toys were never meant to be able to apply swiftness. They are just fun alternative modes for walking.

I tried the new travel item feature with my magic carpet and my charcater looks like this. I’m sure Anet will fix this

I tried it and the change is pretty good, you equip the travel item, select the new feature and once you get in combat you leave the broom/carpet/drill and play normally. Once you get out of combat about 10 seconds you are on your mount again! ^.^

the only gripe is that the “combat ready animation” messes up and since I dont want this post to be moved to the bug section I’ll make another post about that cuz im sure Anet will fix it

this new little event was fun to do (http://dulfy.net/2016/05/03/gw2-unidentified-lodestone-event-achievement-guide/) is this what the legendary team is doing now that they are in the Living World team?

Could these changes foreshadow more upcoming ones? Thanks to this change I will use my magic carpet way more often. And the new fun boxes allow you to use the travel item for 2 min possibly to incentive new players to buy them. Personally I would love to have a golem travel item like taimi XD.

oh dont get me wrong, I DO want Season 1 to be re-playable as much as you guys, but if at the moment we have this “recap” then it is incomplete

Would it be too intrusive if your function gyro had a set normal size? Its a silly thought but as an Asura my loyal pal is super small, I wish it could be regular sized and still follow me perfectly XD

Personally Sya could be given the “Hero-Tron treatment” Where it’s all dependant on players reaction

She gets a mini side story over the course of the LW (job-o-tron loses his job, becomes Hobo-Tron and gets captured by Scarlet) players like her and request for her to return (becomes Ho-ho-tron) she returns playing a major role in story and players still like her (becomes Heal-o-tron) and she then has future potential story arcs (becomes Hero-Tron gets blackmailed as a spy……possible role on the possible attack on LA…..).

Using Hero-Tron as an analogy works here too. Let’s say Hero-Tron joins our group of heroes after his story with Evon and the Captain’s Council. Most likely everyone would like it as long as the golem doesn’t upstage the other members: he shines in a few episodes but stays quiet in others. Now imagine if Hero-Tron kills an Elder Dragon and our PC doesn’t………….I love the character but if that were to happen………
1) I would seriously question Anet’s storytelling
2) My love for the character would be highly damaged

This just struck me: Sylvari are free from Mordremoth’s corruption and are their own beings. But what about the far corrupted Sylvari that apparently changed into the Mordrem Commanders we face in events? will they be able to change back? what about the sylvari that betrayed the Pact? do they retain their memories?
