And the lfg tool is completely relevant, before it was just a generic lfg tool, now we have like 30 options (central tyria, Hot content, World bosses, Living world, RP etc) with the options to either join parties or squads. If what you say its true, then sure lfs (“looking for squad”) would be pointless, however, it could be useful if Anet cant make for example battle for LA 1-5 players, and thus to make things easier make LW S1 as a squad.

ehhhhhhhhh already read those thank you. But there’s a reason why Anet put a “season 1 recap” in the game, they want new players to know how we start season 2, and it does a good job. However if this is a Season 1 recap then it is incomplete, and I’m sure an NPC won’t tell you “if you’d like to know more please visit the GW2 wiki”

I swear to God any expansion that focusses on the Asura will be an expansion I shall avoid like the plague! aaaand golems are technically a race, sure they dont have sentience and a city, but they are still a race (golems) owned by another superior MAster race, the Asura :P

I Love golems! I’m a sucker for robot characters and gw2 has made all of the golems endearing, I like their various designs, the little stories and funny personality some golems develop and, IMO they are useful NPCs. From being vendors to allies in the open world. This might be biased but im an Asura so there’s that XD. And finally Hero-tron is best character

Again as an Asura im biased and so I hate Skritt. And dont hate quaggans, but they annoy me sometimes

Mo said that the fractal 1-50 achievements were going to be deleted……welp they were deleted…..and renamed so I have to do 1-50 again? why? On the positive side I get achievement points for doing a previously deleted achievement plus all the rewards, in my honest it was pointless to delete 1-50 achievement then.

This would be nice…..except that Anet would have to nerf the “rewards” for using the boost. This item was specifically marketed to new players to buy HoT after all.

Longstoryshort? Tiger cubs semi-backpacks? Anet this is genius! besides being cute things, these “backpacks” do not disappear at all (mainly because they are not technically backpacks) you are seriously making me consider doing the legendary journey……and I am an engineer!

But what got me thinking is this: what if you make more of these “semi-backpacks”? such as rewards from achievements or (this is just my opinion people dont cry) sell them on the gemstore?

I am helping a friend level and we just finished killing Zaithan, then he saw the Season 1 recap and asked:

There was also an election story because a sky pirate murdered someone from the Captain’s Council and thus a spot was open. You could support either Ellen Kiel or Evon Gnashblade by doing mini missions with them and putting tokens in their baskets. In the end Ellen Kiel won. Lastly Ellen Kiel and job-o-tron help you in the fight against Scarlet"

I believe the new LFG is fantastic! and after seeing Anet’s capabilities with this patch I believe they can now deliver is a proper Season 1. Why? and How? Because now we have a LookingForSquads (LFS).

I said this in a post I created: I would like to see the “LA Characters” again this upcoming season. I’m talking about Ellen Kiel, Captain Magnus, Evon Gnashblade, Hero-Tron and the Consortium(And now Mai Trin XD).

Consortium: they are a greedy organization, the have said they plan to take over the BLTC, a former golem might be proof of unorthodox golem-making.

At the end of Season 2 there was a small scene that sets up Hero-Tron as an unwilling spy for Evon so the charr can learn secrets about the Captain’s Council.

There is concept art of a giant 3 headed Hydra attacking LA. I want to see these prominint characters from Season 1 do something, I really hope that Anet has not forgotten about them….

While your Mai Trin idea sounds nice, if I envision her becoming the captain of the aerodrome (if such a thing were to happen) after losing a battle against Ellen and the player, after losing the battle, Ellen Assigns her to work in the aerodrome (with a handful of lionguard to keep an eye on her).

I love the story

most people (myself included) are/were expecting the patch to be live on the 19 (seeing as pvp leagues and sab end) BUT Anet NEVER said “its coming on Tuesday the 19th”, we’ll just have to wait and see what Mike has to say.

I like the gyros, on paper they are brilliant (flying drones that help you and your allies), I love that the function gyro follows you around and revives allies.

On execution they are good, but can sadly be replaced by other skills. such as Medic gyro-healing turret, blast gyro-big ol’ bomb, shredder gyro-…….pistols

Would people be ok with gyors being our next elite spec mechanic but instead of temporary allies,they be signets? or something else?

the “problem” here is that the legendary devs were moved to the LW group, they were a team of 6 people. The raid devs are a team of 6 people……foreshadowing!

Why is he in the jungle? He was never, ever spotted among the Pact fleet around Camp Resolve or even in the cutscene of the fleet being destroyed.

All evidence points that Garm wasn’t even with the Fleet, and Braham states such after Eir’s death, that he doesn’t know where Garm is, or if he was with Eir at all.

A) as Eir’s pet he is considered a member of DE (also this an in game excuse…..ranger pet)

B) Mr. Sparkles was found in the jungle and he was not in Camp Resolve or the end of S2 cinematic, same applies to Garm

Id buy more gimmicky gadgets if they sold them.
Already thought of a few.
1/ Portable Waypoint, consumable, allows you to place a portable waypoint on the map which lasts for a hour.
2 types Personal , only works for you or chars on your acct, or open, works for anyone.
Chance of the waypoint failing when used and it kills the user and explodes.

2/ Waypoint Uncontester, Consumable which allows you to turn an contested waypoint into an uncontested one.
You have to be physically located at the contested waypoint to use the device.

3/ GPS receiver. Displays your location in X,Y and Z coords.
Coords can be linked into chat and other players who also have one will then be able to see your location on the map, and will also see your distance and direction.

4/ Telescope. (this depends a bit on whether the graphic engine can handle it).
Allows you to see things far away, beyond max LOS.
Cool if you are standing on a high vista or hi mountain and want to watch things you cant normally see.

5/ Alert Golem, 10 uses then it explodes and you need a new one.
Provides an alert by way of playing a wav file on your computer when a defined event happens.
eg Someone tries to chat to you, tries to rez you , invites you to a group, or somehow tries to atrract your attention .
This is for players like me who leave the game running all the time , but arnt actually always in front of the computer.

There are heaps of gadgets that could be sold in the store that dont actually affect the game play, but which would be cool to have.

I want toys, not gadgets :P

I know Anet said they were not gonna release S3 bi-weekly, but 3 motnhs for every episode? really? Man the episodes better be good and big XD

If by “Travel Items” you mean mounts, then yes we need them. Here’s how it could work:

Dolyak mount – slower speed, but high attack power
Moa mount – fast travel speed, lower attack power
Charr mount – most balanced option with mid level speed and power

And as in real life, you need to feed your mounts, so that could allow Anet to introduce a new craft profession – The Farmer. The Gem Store can sell feed that you can plant in your home instance, and tend like Farmville. You need to water crops and harvest items, and then use your Cooking profession to create Mount Food. Don’t forget to purchase your Mount Stable for 1,000 Gems!

Smooth Penguin, buddy. We both know Evon is the best altruistic entrepreneur of Tyria! “We don’t need mounts. We gonna give you travel items!” he says. So ket’s stick with Evon’s ideal.

On a serious note Travel items=Mounts (at least imo anyway), do you think Anet should invest time on them? as in some sale weeks we get new travel and new weapon set? What about toys?

Personally as far as I can tell, people don’t think/want more travel items because few people use them so it woyuld be a waste of resources (I wish I could disagree but that’s a fair point), and people would want more toys bundled with new outfit which I totally agree and hope Anet is reading this XD

Anet’s primary income in the gemstore (and expansions but that would digress the topic), their primary weekly sales are gliders and outfits and sometimes minis (bi-weekly is same thing plus BL weapon set).

However, back in the early days GW2 also sold either toys on their own or with outfit and has released 3 travel items (and for those who are gonna say “deeerr you want mounts” joke’s on you then, we have these travel items for the past 3 years), it would it be nice if in the future Evon says “I got inspired seeing a bunch of my costumers…and some of my staff wearing the popular bunny ears! So inspired I made a whole weapon set, and if cute is not your style don’t worry, I paid a good shiny to a bunch of Skritt to carry your weight (literally!) around Tyria!”

Would you all buy more travel items/toys if they were in the gemstore? I’ll admit that toys are in a bit of difficult position. Aesthetically they are cool, but in terms of actual gameplay Anet killed the costume brawl (heck how many ppl know that was a thing).

Would you all buy more toys and travel items if we had the chance? I have no problem the way Anet handles the gemstore, but I want to see something new other than glider, outfits, and weapon sets. Something that Anet has proven they can do, not something new that would be time consuming

You got SAB this year. It’s not completely new, but it certainly was unexpected (a lot of people had given up on ever seeing it again). Also this year: the devs are shaking up their internal organization and re-prioritizing, so it seems unlikely that they were going to manage SAB and a completely new one-time mechanic; SAB is tons of work on its own.

That doesn’t make this year precedent for the future.

This. Considering what they had just announced for legendary weapons if they had come out with some one day only content it would have been like pouring gasoline on a fire.

So instead of in game April Fools, they decided to do a very smart and yet still funny April Fool’s Day prank. Fake patch notes. That seemed to poke at areas we players find problems with, showing that they’ve at least read our posts and know what our problems with the game are.

Any treatment of Logan as “Commanding Officer” of the Seraph is fully unofficial, brought on by, as mentioned above, the Queen’s business, as well as his role in DR and his fame. As such, it probably is no longer the case as of him joining the Pact to fight the Elder Dragons (he can’t really manage the tasks typically held by the ruler when he’s not there himself).

Ok, then I meant the Captain of the Seraph (see? you know the stuff perfectly). I do hope that Anet touches upon such an important figure (at least for the Seraph/Quuen Jenah anyways) being unable to do anything (that is of course assuming this happens for players kittencued Zoijja OR to save “resources” both characters are severely injured no matter who you saved) and thus affect the main city in a major way, surely something big has to happen if the Captain of a royal organization is….out of commission I guess?
