I dont understand how hard can it be? just bring the old maps back, stop doing stupid changes to wvw, put stability back the way it were. THEN you ANET can focus on changing small stuffs, but dont change big stuffs like the maps when you have so many other things to change.

Its never to late! And of course people would return if they take back the old maps, we all MISS IT SO MUCH, just be able to run to hills again and look out for enemies.. kitten i miss that. The list in this thread is growing, we can just hope that anet takes this serious. I have over 15 people that will return to wvw if the old maps return. Anet can make new skins on towers/lords etc but we want the old original maps – im not impossible -changes are good, but not these changes with desert borderlands.

No offense but the WvW crowd apparently hates change and 3 years of Alpine was enough, I love the change and have had great fights in the new borderlands but the only problem with them is the fact that more people would rather avoid them than try and learn them, moving around the new maps is not bad once you’ve learned your way around a little.

Not for all of us that have huge lags on the new maps(and I dont have any lag on EB)

Hello. Me & my friend played WvW(Eb) for like 3 hours yesterday, we were not able to port to SM even once, it was contested then got uncontested but we couldn’t port there anyway, alot of ppl asked in mapchat if this is a bug or something after the patch? Yes we had a waypoint in SM but even if it wasn’t contested the swords didn’t disappear and we couldn’t port there. Alot of running during these 3 hours.

With my full-tank guardian it took me a while to flip a camp because of my low dmg.

Now i play fully power Reaper(GS+Staff) I put all necro-bombs infront of the camp-npc´s then i aggro them so they run directly into my 5 bombs, then i do some autottacks with my greatsword then i Go reaper form and spam spell 2+4 then its gg after about 10 seconds :P so its really funny to flip camps with necro(reaper)
1 tip if you have problem is to not tag every camp-npc, take 2-3 to start with then continue, in the new maps i also noticed you can flip the camp without killing all guards… if u go into the cirkle and stay at the start.

I love the idea but anet doesn’t care about wvw so we cant have it like SPvP

6 days – 42 names and still hundreds/thousands of players out there that already left the game & who doesn’t read the forum. But 42 names are better than just mine in the list. If you got friends/guilds ingame that want the old maps back please contact them and tell them about this thread.

The list is now updated. I’ve read all comments and I agree fully to you guys that want the old maps back – it was more fun and I really loved every second of it!

One question to the rest of you – do you experience lag in the new maps like I do? I never had lag in old maps + EB(I dont lag in EB these days either) So just new maps = laggy for me… I have hard to think its something with my computer or internet because its both good.. but it just feels like… its not smooth like before in the new maps.. and the event in the middle have TERRIBLE lag for me + my friends.

*Not at all, i find EB more intense but its same there, I follow tag or lead.

*Im sorry to say I dont find the new maps funny at all – they are laggy for me & my friends(the old maps + EB are not) its to much desert…dusty…darkness i dont like this – the old maps where filled of life. WE DONT LIKE PvE – and u made the new maps full of PvE with moving rocks, lava & other stuff that shouldn’t be in a wvw map. I NEVER go the new maps unless i need them for daily veteran. I play 100 % EB until u bring them back.

IF u not going to do so.. do so they dont lagg like they do and remove all PVE STUFF like lava, moving rocks.. remove so much desert and darkness and bring some life in the maps and make maps SMALLER.

*To complicated.. the old maps where complicated but the new ones are complicated even for us that played since release.

So I use stand your ground and F3 for stability, instead of before they would give like 6-9 sec stability it gives me 2 stacks that some guy with CC can just remove? wtf whats the point with stability then?

If someone just can answer if its just to do this dungeon and from the rewards u buy the armor(skin) from a npc? how long time does it take to make 1 whole set? how many dungeon runs.

Hey. Yes I notice with my guardian that there is some changes to the stability but i havent figure out WHAT is the change? less time stability on the spells or what is it? im flying around like a balloon in fights and i dont like it.

Me & my friends suggestion is that in this thread you comment:
Yes I want the old maps back. – if you want so.
I would also like you to write WHY you want them back.

When you do that I will copy your account name and put in this list. If you also want to discuss you can do that below your comment. But ofcourse feel free to discuss because its an important question.

I want the old maps because:
- They were smaller & more intense.
- More lifefull, I prefer water,grass & mountains instead of dust, fog & sand.
- Easier to find fights.
- Easier to defend stuff.
- Felt like the old maps had more balance.
- IT WAS FUN – Im not having fun on the new maps, and only play EB.

Hello! im a hardcore WvW player and haven’t spent so much time in PvE.

I have played guardian since release but did try Necro(because of the GS reaper) the other day and found it funny(Have not try GS yet because i dont have the elite spez)
You guys that have played Guardian with GS and Reaper with it, is it similar or much difference?

Now comes my question for what armor i should fix to my female asura necro.

Can i do these dungeons on another character to farm the stuff and buy the armor set? because my necro doesnt have any gear. I do have a Charr guard & Norn Guard that got good gear.
And which of these two do you guys find most nice?

And for example if i want everything with the first gear except the Head-armor… can i fix the head armor on the other armor and combine them?

Its same here, I only go to WvW for EB and isn’t there any action there im just going to new maps for the daily, its so little players on the new maps so its easy to make the daily done.

I dont know if it´s just me but EB doesn’t feel the same like before expansion….the positivity for the WvW seems to be gone… and my friendlist are getting less and less friends online in the game at all.

Yes bring them back, had like 25+ friends who played WvW hardcore before expansion, now its 2 left. And me + the other guy only play EB.

New maps are boring, big, to many levels and… stormy/sandy/cloudy…. I like grass & water.

Its good changes, now bring back old maps + give us autoloot and I’m happy!

Anet haven’t you still fixed this? Foreal i dont care about christmas stuffs in cities… I MAIN WVW AND I WANT MY AUTOLOOT.

Yes this is true… to much Queue for EB and 0(!) queue for the new boring maps

The new borderlands are pretty. That’s about it. The gameplay around them is terrible. Surely there are good elements, but if I needed to take up a weight loss program I would go and run outside to get fit. I don’t need a game to give me large map to run around endlessly doing nothing.

These new borderlands are the last nail to the coffin of WvW. Arenanet thinks that EoTM was great idea and they should build on it; or possibly they just care about k-train hungry PVErs.

The fact is simply that Arenanet either has no clue about what WvW community likes or they are intentionally trying to kill that community.

If common sense prevails, these maps will be thrown into the bin. Artwork is great to admire as part of gaming experience, but artwork is not gaming experience on its own.

I cant agree they are “pretty” for me pretty is CLEAN, nature waterfalls, grass, mountains like the old borders. Dusty shadows, crappy mountains with so many levels, dark areas… nope not pretty at all.

I like your point. Thats why i loved the old maps – they were clear & you didn’t have to focus on TRYING to find the enemy or fall down from 4 level mountains or keeps. I want a strict clean border with a good size like the old ones, no dust, no invisiblities, not 4 levels of mountains – just a clear good OLD bordermap.

People doesnt like the new maps, well there are a few that does but major doesnt. Accept fact.

I am a new player, about 1 month. First experience with WvW was randomly going to borderlands, run around half an hour thinking man this sucks, i am out of here, back to pve content. Than accidentally found EB and spent 1 week in there having a lot of fun even if outnumbered all the time. I think that resumes the overall feeling.

This, and I’ve been played since the first stress-test before the first launch of the game. And im not alone – I’ve had over 20 friends that played hardcore WvW before expansion – now.. 2 is still in the game but doesn’t play wvw – gg anet.

No these changes are not good… autoupgrading and the new maps are terrible ideas and have to be removed until its to late.

Hello. There is nothing to think about – major of the wvw players doesn’t like the new maps – end of story.

On my server Far Shiverpeaks(EU) the community has now started threads there we gather character-selection-screenshots + we add the text we want the old maps back in paint and upload on imgur, now we will save all these screenshots and send to anet.

If you people want change.. start doing something similar? do it in your guild, with your friends OR if u can reach out to your server community like us it would be awesome.

Dont just sit there – fight for getting the old maps back!
