So right now the game is installing on my computer and I’m really interested in WvW and see that as the main thing I want to do in the game. I’d like to get on a server which has a really active community and modest queue times.

Also I’ve been reading about the races and classes and was thinking of going with a Norn Guardian or Ranger. Any thoughts or suggestions on how to spec these characters and contribute to my world’s efforts? I’m more than willing to be a team player.

I’ll have to go with what most of the people in here are saying, and suggest Tier 2. FA, Kain and TC all have excellent guilds that would love to have a dedicated team player.

Of course FA is the best…

Tier 2 has the best match of tactics, havoc squads and zerging…and little to no queues during the week.

As for classes, the Guardian is probably more useful than Ranger, although a well played Ranger can be a huge help to a team.

[ACE] Acquire is composed of an active 20 man core. We are looking to grow our ranks with dedicated players and nerds of every shade.

We are a WvW based guild that SPvP and, runs FOTM & Dungeons when we get bored.

Officers trade off during the week leading our players in WvW. We implement standard tactics used in WvW today and are always trying new strats! Any ideas or builds suggested we will try!

Our players play time ranges from 1pm est-4am est!

We are looking for a few active players that can meet these requirements and are interested in joining:

-Active 4/7 days a week.
-Downloads and uses Teamspeak 3 with us(mic not required).
-Must be 18 years or older.
-Have a working F key on your keyboard (gonna need it to pick up all your loot)

Is it true that GODS and RET’s leaders quit and transferred server?? Cause someone PMd me from FA that both guild is having major internal issues

We had 2/5 guild leaders in RET decided they wanted to try something new. We hope they’ll be back but there’s no drama about it. RET continues to collect bags like it always has

I haven’t heard anything about GODS

I dont know 100%, but I have heard that GODS has been having some problems recently as well. After seeing the group of them after the update though, I’d say they still have a decent WvW scene… nothing compared to what I remember from T3 though.

GODS is just fine. We aren’t leaving FA and never would.

If I recall correctly, when TC last faced FA (before these last few weeks), [GODS] apparently had some sort of split where, I heard, a good portion of their guild came to TC. I even saw multiple members and spoke with a few. I think they ultimately made [BLNT] who stayed around for a couple weeks before leaving.

Glad to know, though. I use to be annoyed by your guild’s actions in WvW, which led me personally to want to target [GODS] more than some others. These past couple weeks have been a lot better. I guess you guys dropped your bad apples!

Just to clarify: The original split only included 9-11 players or some such. They formed BLNT immediately and went to TC. They left TC for Kain, and that is where they reside now. We still talk to them occasionally, still friendly. A couple came back to FA.

The most recent split was only maybe 14-16 of us, and we formed Acquire [ACE] here on FA. We just wanted to go in a bit of a different direction.

[GODS] is still a huge and effective guild, although it may need to find its bearings a bit. They’ll still be around causing tons of trouble on a borderland near you.

[ACE] remains friendly with all parties involved.

On a different subject: You can expect [RET] and [VK] to still take care of business also.

Culling has been fixed, and to be honest its glorious.

I experienced very little skill lag last night, even in huge three way battles(several times).

I’ll reserve my judgement for the next time I’m in SMC in a monster battle…

Little early to call WXP a zerg issue just yet.

Last night we saw a huge influx of people into our borderlands…this will calm down and the fair weathers will disappear like they usually do.

Give it some time before you bash down the system… :P

Eh…I think FA is taking some time off. Sadly its been sparse in WvW.

The more interesting story this week is whether TC can jump into first place this week.

TLDR:

No ascended gear will be attainable via WvW progress.

Then we golem rushed Kain’s keep which was a huge failure, but fun regardless. We had so many people in golems that we had waypointed back, that we didn’t have enough to fight in the middle of the keep. We should have just left the golems and went into the lords room to fight. :P

haha I was there for some of that. I came in with the zerg that sortied you guys and put the golems in retreat. Most of them were killed, but like 3 pilots bailed on that hill in front of the SMC wall. I think you guys had like 8 golems!

On the first rush we had 12(i think, at least 11), and made it into inner…then way pointed them.

Then we got wiped at inner…because 12 of us had to go back with the golems.

When we came back with the golems you guys were already repaired at water gate and we had to bail out…then got beat up on the way out…

The element of surprise was gone, wooooops.

To be fair, we did get wiped once last night.

Lots of fun from both TC and Kain though…good job guys. We were on the move all night attacking and defending, no rest for us at all.

It was crazy that no one made a huge push for SMC while the walls were down. There were small pushes here and there that we wiped, but we had it for a bunch of point tallies. And when TC did take it, we took it right back…

In fact I was a little disgusted that no one threw down a vendor, I should have kicked some ppl from the guild for that.

Since we’re talking about hijacking keeps, I wanted to propose a question. We had some really good fights last night with FA in EB, and occassionally mixing it up with KN as well.

Near the end we took and were defending Medon’s Gap against FA, which I believe was mostly GODS and QQ attacking. We portal bombed them twice, wiping the siege, both times we came back in to find that 6 or 7 people had made it inside the keep, without any walls or doors being down. After the first time we did a mesmer sweep and didn’t find anything, 2nd time they took it. Is there a cheap spot to get through on this keep or anything that might explain what happened?

Had a lot of fun this weekend in both SoS and Kain BL’s.

Great response on Kain BL garrison last night, you guys(kain) were no where to be found until we were at inner…guessing you came back from across the map or another BL entirely.

I’m sure the great fights will continue for the next few weeks.

We just want our ascended gear from WvW. Us killing tons of REAL LIFE players and taking defended keeps is much more of an accomplishment than grinding fractals or other pve content.

The term ninjaing needs to be redifined now. A 20 man group can now flip towers/keeps with ease. SMC got flipped ~5 times in 3 1/2 last night. Most of that because of having less than a 25 group won’t pop the Xs.

Another Reason it got flipped so easy: YB was so kind to leave the rams up from our previous attack.

I think we may have gained 10k karma(not entirely sure of the numbers, at least 4k from SMC flippin alone) last night in EB, not bad for only a couple hours.

I understand your goal, but FA just has too much coverage and population for T3. The only solution is T2. If SoS continues to free fall, T1 could be JQ/BG/SoR, T2 could be Kaineng/FA/TC, and T3 could be DB/Mag/YB. We just need a little more coverage at FA and all sides should be happy…

And TC doesnt? All that happens in your ‘all sides should be happy’ scenerio is that the folks in T3 fight TC instead of FA, but in a weaker state. Exactly how is that an improvement for any other sides besides FA?

It really depends on how you look at it.

FA wants the harder fights(hence moving up)…not sure where DB stands, but we know MAG wasn’t up for the challenge. In our opinion DB, MAG and YB should be relishing their fights with us.

Looks like we may be in tier 2 next week. Not sure I’m looking forward to that. Two powerhouse servers (BG and Kain) vs us. I know its still early to determine but we have a decent amount of points ahead of TC now…

I am. We’ll get facerolled, but it will give us something to do instead of demolishing people borderlands during EST. We see DB and YB(Mag also) playing some good defense during that time, but they aren’t giving any good offensive opposition during those times.

Of course that means TC moves down for a week and facerolls DB and Mag, likely beating them so bad that we move down again…

This is WvW…and as it stands right now, there aren’t too many close matches.

The reason the bank slot sale was not useful:

Half of GODS has been leveling lowbies in WvW for the past two weeks. I wouldn’t be surprised if RET has also.

We’re not too concerned…I mean we have a 58k lead over DB. What else are we to do?

Not sure what guild you are in, but if you’d like to match up a defense to our offense of a tower, or perhaps an open field battle with equal numbers(ie at least 10vs10 plz, none of this 5vs5 crap, we can head to spvp/tpvp for that)…I’m sure we can make it happen.

You must not have been on our borderlands during NA prime time last night…had enough people to attack two garrison gates at once and we had a lot less people defending at each gate, and you still couldn’t take it? Ouch! Then you guys spammed laughs at us when trying to camp our spawn exit…portal bombed the entrance and got pooped on again! Then you proceeded to lost the rest of what you had because I guess your “raid time” ended. You had plenty of chances to farm us during that, but I guess you felt like being nice…so thanks, GODS! You are truly worthy of the name.

I mean really what the hell? All this crap talking about our open field battle skills and you guys all ran back into spawn. Like 20 of you…

So yah we knew you’d jump back down after the portal.

Trust me we had fun, many laughs were had on voice chat.

You knew, but still got wrecked I don’t think there were 20 of us at that spawn, but you may be right. All I know is half of you died and the other half (if even) ran away. Oh yeah, and half of the time you guys were on (when I also was) our commander was dutifully in the south capping supply camps, so we weren’t super organized, either.

Trash talk aside, that really was legitimately the most fun I’ve had in WvW recently, so thanks for that…RET on DB borderlands on Friday was pretty fun too

Look at it this way: A siege of a well defended garrison can take quite awhile. Like at least 20-30min…sometimes as much as an hour.

So what do we do? We start farting around, doing stupid crap…and/or practicing things….

Because there’s not much else to do…

Three nights ago we took your whole BL by 12pm EST. Trust me…not the type of matchup we are looking for.

So when we say we want to move up….we mean it. We know we’ll get face rolled. We don’t care. We get more loot that way.

Not sure I understand Mags(i know its not all of you) reasoning for wanting to move down. They like “farming”, but want to go faceroll the lower servers?

Ya, it’s a pretty lame tier. My only hope for the future of wvw here is that eventually FA and DB get tired of being zerg servers and start actually doing roaming pvp and maybe eventually learn how to compete.

Learn how to compete??? Maybe I forgot the score but I thought Mag was in 3rd. Sounds like you guys should learn to work together more, then maybe you could “learn how to compete.”

Or we could just be like Farmed Aspenwood. Bloat our numbers. Stand around when we are about to get portal bombed. Rinse and repeat x 10. Finally bug BT or some others to come halp us.

You must not have been on our borderlands during NA prime time last night…had enough people to attack two garrison gates at once and we had a lot less people defending at each gate, and you still couldn’t take it? Ouch! Then you guys spammed laughs at us when trying to camp our spawn exit…portal bombed the entrance and got pooped on again! Then you proceeded to lost the rest of what you had because I guess your “raid time” ended. You had plenty of chances to farm us during that, but I guess you felt like being nice…so thanks, GODS! You are truly worthy of the name.

You can’t imagine how bored we were when you guys decided to run back into spawn.

I mean really what the hell? All this crap talking about our open field battle skills and you guys all ran back into spawn. Like 20 of you…

So yah we knew you’d jump back down after the portal.
