Notalkingplz (PvE/Spvp) – Guardian
Rough Trade (PvE)/Urok Ashpaw (Spvp) – Engineer
the only thing i hate about the new ac is that people believe it’s so difficult that it’s become impossible for me to level up alts through it now
so you’re complaining because this game deviates from the tired “wizards and dragons” fantasy?
usually means they capped the most points/didn’t die
that’s how i get top whenever i decide to do hotjoins anyway
downed state in pvp has never really bothered me, i just place down a blind field or stealth and proceed to stomp them in the face
i’m starting to get a bit upset, i really want to hear it lol
i really wish his face was available to players :/ i love it
a norn called Daddy Warbucks
i don’t mind an option to turn them off, but i’m confused how people are bothered by this
the entire reason it’s rng is to increase revenue for anet
gw2 is a b2p game, they depend on people to buy gems to keep them as a company going; i don’t really see what the issue is
yeah, i’ve been spvping on my thief a lot lately, and half of the time i end up wasting shadowstep because of the lack of a delay
i have a charr thief (which according this thread is odd), a charr elementalist, and an asura guardian
i’ve spent entirely too much gold on shortbows hoping i’d get that dang precursor, in fact, if i ever do get it from the mystic forge, i’d probably end up spending as much as the precursor sells for
Auger Claw
a blood legion thief and the sole surviving member of the claw warband
“No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no No no no we should No no no No no no we should No no no No no no we should go to the armory No no no No no no we should go to the armory No no no No no no we should go to the armory No no no No no no we should go to the armory”
alternatively
“Stand back. Watch me push a button. Oooh, maybe I’ll flip a lever.”
nope! i sell all of the materials i come across
both guardians and warriors are pretty common, though for different reasons.
you’d have no trouble finding groups with either one
“Ranged attacks, Scepter Guardians, Pistol Thieves, Rangers, Rifle Warriors, Thieves”
i sort of have an issue with this section
my main (and currently only 80) character is a thief, and i run dungeons very often, whenever my group is fighting trash or a boss that is simply deadly at melee (can’t see the cues to dodge) i use my shortbow. it has aoe built in and a spammable blast finisher (which is amazing paired with elementalists or rangers)
also, i’m not exactly sure by what you mean as a “support thief”, i’m only able to give boons through thrill of the crime stealing (which i use on cd), and occasionally i can stealth people, though with the nerf to stealth it’s not as useful as before. not to mention the fact that no one ever seems to stand behind my smokescreen when it’s up even though i usually announce it in chat
the SE set just looks like it fits with a charr engineer to me
pretty much what heylo said, when running dungeons at a lower level than 80, you pretty much have to be on top of everything, or else you’ll probably be kicked
what do you mean by “turn off”? if you mean the auto attack, then yes, you can turn off 1 from automatically going off
if you mean taking away trick shot from 1, then no
Not for me anyway.
Fighting regular enemies with near champion level HP requiring all 5 players to focus fire for 3 to 5 minutes isn’t fun.
Getting killed in 5 hits at best and 2 at worst isn’t fun.
Having to sit there dead because I can’t just waypoint and run back until everyone’s dead or the others retreat isn’t fun.
Getting rewards that aren’t worth the time isn’t fun.
I just don’t get this. I’ve tried the story mode of every dungeon except Citadel of Flame, and it’s more or less the above happening all the time. So far, I’ve only ever beaten Twilight Arbor story and Arah story. All the other times, it just got so frustrating that we’d just give up.
So, what do any of you see in these dungeons that I’m not seeing? Because right now I can’t imagine anyone wanting to do these the 50 or so times each it takes to get the gear from those vendors.
i’ve said this in another thread, but maybe dungeons just aren’t your thing?
i love (most) of the dungeons that i enter, and i do them because for me it’s fun
if you’re really that frustrated with these dungeons then maybe you should try something else in gw2? maybe you prefer spvp or wvwvw? who knows
before yesterday i had never stepped foot in fractals, and my group was able to do it on the first try (with me pulling the lever)
i’m a thief, although my shadow refuge/blinding powder/heal wasn’t enough to keep me in stealth for the entire time, so one of my party members kept the dredge that spawned near the lever from attacking me
maybe it’s a different story at much higher fractal levels, but on level 4(5?) fractals i had no problem doing it without any prior knowledge
i just killed her this morning and like you said she didn’t drop anything
maybe dungeons aren’t your thing? i really love dungeons (will probably try out the ‘new’ ac later today) and i’ve run countless pugs with people who just seemed to be forcing themselves into doing it, so if you feel forced then just don’t it, i don’t really like spvp or wvw , so i just don’t do it
favorite
1. Timberline Falls
2. Diessa Plateau
3. Gendarran Fields
least favorite
1. Snowden Drifts
2. Wayfarer Foothills
3. Dredgehaunt Cliffs (i love the jumping puzzle though)
why didn’t you just edit the rank of guild leader rather than create an entirely separate rank?
did no one read his original post??
he isn’t bashing the graphics, he’s talking on how Kryta has changed (i never actually played gw so i can’t personally comment on this)
I’m surprised not so few people noticed that. It’s main reason I can’t play humans.
pretty much the same for me
i’ve tried to create both male and female humans, but the legs and feet really ruin it for me
i think i’ve only seen a couple white furred charr, i mostly see charr with darker fur
and what’s the common face? i’m curious
I’m at 71 now (my highest character right now, i’m fairly new to the game) and I’ve been doing my personal story quests at the appropriate level (sometimes a couple levels earlier than recommended) and I’ve died only around 4? times in a personal story. I stopped doing them actively at around 63 so I’m playing catch-up now, but everything before that wasn’t really difficult at all for me.
edit: I felt that i should probably mention that I’m a Charr Thief (if that even makes a difference)
