My suggestion here: remove fear-damage completely from the game because its ridiculous imagine if a warrior would stun you and the stun would deal 1k every second

terror has always been here, no one complained about it before, it’s even been nerfed recently
having diminishing returns on cc would be the best solution for mace warriors and terror necros
when are people going to stop whining about getting instagibbed in wvw? the game mode just isn’t balanced
i’m using a rhs build with soldier’s amulet and meditations
i really want those hammers, so far i’ve no clue what type of champions to kill for them though
solo q is alright,
i’ve played about 9 matches so far, and about half of them have have been pretty evenly matched and close fights… and then i’ve had matches like the last one i was in where the other team had 3 spirit rangers
haven’t seen one of these in a while
i use every weapon set (except pistol mainhand) for a variety of purposes
for bosses i use d/d, for trash i use s/p, for bosses/trash that apply a lot of boons i use s/d, and when i have to range i use shortbow
currently my build is 10/30/10/0/20, all berserker equips
mug, side strike, practiced tolerance, executioner, shadow’s embrace, thrill of the crime, bountiful theft
i usually change around my build depending on which dungeon i’m running, since i usually run coe i’ve found bountiful theft and shadow’s embrace to be very helpful
you’re running pretty glassy right now, if i were you i’d give up 15 points in DA and put them in acrobatics for feline grace and vigorous recovery
i don’t know what heal you’re using but withdraw is such a life saver, and signet of malice will keep you alive through trash if you’re cleaving

don’t run hotjoin builds (ie p/p thief, glasscannon 100b warrior) or builds that rely heavily on team support (ie staff ele, venom share thief, banner warrior…), you seriously cannot trust anyone to help you
if you know you have zero chance of killing the bunker/neutralizing the point, then don’t bother
if you’re a necromancer run the res signet, if you’re a warrior then run battle standard, don’t be selfish
don’t zerg mid
know what classes/specs you’re strong against and what you’re weak against
in a team fight target/focus the biggest threat damage-wise… they’re also usually the weakest defensively
be smart with your cc, for example, a rifle engineer can launch someone and then immobilize or stun them to neutralize the point
call incs, don’t be the silent guy (especially if you’re a bunker…)
if you know you’re playing a build with little defenses then don’t rush in guns blazing
if you’re downed and have virtually no chance of getting up (ie no teammates around) then don’t bother using your 2 or 4, the quicker you can get back to the waypoint, the better seeing as you aren’t helping your team at all by bleeding out on the ground
don’t try to roam if you’re a slowpoke (ie no leaps or movement skills)
edit: don’t waste dodges in combat, i see people senselessly dodging around all the time for no reason
edit 2: if can stomp without fear of dying/being cced then stomp, keep in mind that instant skills can be used while stomping (ie smoke vent, stand your ground, dolyak signet), if you have no stability/blind/aegis then dodge the 2 ability, it’s usually very obvious, either thieves (ie steal, infiltrator’s signet, shadowstep) or guardians (judge’s intervention… i’m not sure if flashing blade works though since it activates the auto attack) can stomp thieves

The portal is a one-time use consumable that effectively allows you to use a skill that is similar to the mesmer’s portal. We recognize thakittens a very powerful item, so the recipe is quite rare and takes considerable resources to manufacture.
And will we be able to use this skill in WvW/sPvP/Dungeons? Or just open world.
I’m incredibly wary of this. It sounds very close to P2W where you can pay a lot of gold to get access to an incredibly powerful skill.

There’s plenty to do outside of these events. Go do those instead of you loathe it so much. A break from the regular content in GW2, for me, is great.
there’s nothing wrong with a break from all that… but it feels like we’ve been doing nothing but hitting pinatas and playing mini-games for a while now

Fungalfoot.7213, PvE balance is a completely different beast, as there are insane amounts of things that undergo balance changes (Different classes of creatures, dungeons, Story instances, events, etc.).
To balance PvE, you’re essentially involving every team but the PvP team. So, when you guys talk about Profession balance, please keep in mind what areas of the game you are referring to when you post your feedback in those sub-sections of the forums.
Which brings something else to mind. The sPvP forums are specifically to discuss sPvP changes, or things that affect sPvP. If you would like to discuss PvE, please use the appropriate sub-forums.

the game will have real balance when there’s a split between the three game modes
if the duration of the vuln on body shot was increased then it’d be better… but it could potentially be op since it gives 10 stacks… maybe the stacks could be reduced to 5 and the duration increased to 8-10? idk
recently i’ve stopped using HiS and use mostly withdraw, ocassionally switching to SoM
putrid mark was nerfed? dang
i haven’t even played my necro since the dhuumfire patch and all this craziness is going on

The problem is support don’t actaully sacrifice damage. Just because your wearing PVT dont’ make you a better support.

Another way of looking at it is like this:
Blind from a person using full zerker is the same blind as the person using Carrion.
Aegis from a person using full zerker is the same aegis as the person using Soldier’s.
Chill, same.
Protection, same.
Weakness, same.
Vulnerability, same.By going with something like Cleric’s, you might have better healing. But if a zerk group is able to kill a mob without needing that healing because they can dodge, blind, block, etc. then you’ve actually lost more than you’ve gained from going cleric’s.
that’s one of the issues with the game imo, even as a zerker whatever, with all damage related traits and traitlines, you still have access to the same skills that a support spec does, and the difference is marginal
p/p will probably always be useless, it’s such a strange set
I suppose I have to ask: What do you think is wrong about the only, all melee, zerker meta?
It’s boring as hell.
pretty much, i’d like to see future dungeons have fights that aren’t solely based on how much damage you can do and how quickly it can be done, but until that time comes i’ll still be playing in zerker armor with a fairly glassy build
edit: i think the reason a lot of people are sick of zerker melee everything is because it ends up feeling like everyone’s only purpose is to be a damage dealer, instead of being a supporter that sacrifices damage to supplement their group, or being an attrition fighter with high toughness and condition damage, i think ranged is mostly fine as is, but it’d be nice if there were mechanics that made it beneficial to actively switch between ranged and melee instead of staying as one or the other 90%

i love my thief, but there is literally one armor set in the game that i enjoy on him and that’s charr tier 2 cultural, everything else looks horrible to me and ridiculously stretched out
on my asura guardian i’ve realized that the ears i picked (which are my favorite ears for asura male) have some strange sharp edges where the tragus should be, once again i only really like the cultural armor on my asura
it feels like both and asura and charr got the short end of the stick when it comes to armor, which is sad since those are my two favorite races
i have a norn engineer that i leveled to 80 with crafting because i played an engineer for so long in spvp (a charr, that i chose not to level because of the lack of good armors, even though charr have superior engineer animations) but now i rarely log on that character because i can’t stand the animations at all, like i love how the character looks but besides that it’s just an eyesore
Crap wasn’t fast enough to beat out all the trolls. Something important to keep in mind while reading these forums. There is no sub, so people that left the game months ago and no longer play can still post and try to ruin the game for other people. I would suggest talking to players in game and avoiding the forums.

pretty much everyone is in Lion’s Arch (more or less the capital city i guess)/doing the big boss events that give chests/ or in WvWvW
edit: pretty much the only low level zone that you’ll see people in is Queensdale for easy events (though this really depends on the server)

i sort of want to level a ranger and try it out after watching the first 2 videos
same thing happened to me twice yesterday, really frustrating when i can’t move or use any skills
i think it’s great that they’re changing dungeon rewards to be more um rewarding, i just hope that gw2lfg doesn’t start looking like “LF2M ZERK WARR COE PING” etc
i do all 3 paths everyday using gw2lfg, i never have issues finding experienced groups either
sd zerker engi with all toolbelts off cd can usually kill a necro, just use net shot and overcharged and unload all your toolbelts on them
the only thing bad about skyhammer is the cannon
maybe i have found a use for elixir x
as you can see from posts above me, the farmers have left Orr.
This makes it a much more pleasant place to be in and do events around than it used to be. The people who are still in Orr are people who enjoy the content there. Enough to get events going, and even some major group zerg moments – but not crowds, and not the rude attitudes you will find at dragon timers and CoF.
ORR IS NOW MY FAVORITE AREA OF THE GAME TO PLAY IN.
- The community there has improved greatly with the removal of the farmers.(Sadly farmers still permeate Arah Explorable, so that is an unpleasant experience.)

Anet listens to nothing but the top players, the top players don’t have issues all they do is whine when there build gets nerfed and switch to another build and continue dominance.Let me ask you a question. Whens the last time anet listened to a low rank solo que’er and listened about his issues he’s finding with pvp?
Last time I checked the high ranked players aren’t flooding the boards with issues like matchmaking, solo que, hotjoins because they are the ones winning games over weak solo que/ weak matchmaking system, they have friends to party with, they are the ones farming newplayers in hotjoins.

it only seems that arenanet actively communicates with people in the top 100 on the leaderboards who don’t face most of the issues in spvp/tpvp
i want to see signets across all classes have more interesting active effects, right now the effects for most signets are pretty boring (excluding necromancer)
reduced aoe damage, especially aoe condition damage
separation of stats from trait lines (only effective in pvp)
there’s more or less no reason to go to orr
grenade kit
stand your ground
save yourselves
shadow refuge
supply crate(if it counts)
it looks so goofy
it’s no big news that wvw is unbalanced

it’s getting annoying… charr are my favorite race aesthetically, but most armor looks beyond horrible on them
it’s like armor either has the tail clipping, or it’s stretched and looks awkward as heck
right now there is at least 2-3 necros in everygame
