Your boy duke came up with that boonshare method before HoT came out and said only use it when you have to it will ruin the game. A lot of people figured it out 1 year later tho. not much you can do about that.

This gamemode is a joke when it rewards 24/7 commanders like dk and yb. they get farmed daily in pvp but wait till you sleep to ppt all your stuff. just wait till they reward upgraded structures instead of fixing the night capping.

If you’re a ranger TC or YB should be great servers for your playstyle m8.

Mal is on the money about this one. A balanced match up has smc paper most of the times and t2 looks like it will never be balanced. YB in T2 will be even worse since YB are super try hard PPT/siege humpers

nah, T1 servers should not get links (Blackgate, JQ, DB and maybe even TC) they’re already way too stacked and other tiers and servers need the pop. Opening up T1 for a 500 gem transfer is silly.

Obviously they need to price transfers to linked servers based on their host. But, I don’t think JQ/DB are overly stacked right now, at least not compared to BG alone. TC needs some loving as well from what I’ve seen. Mag’s just coverage away from T1, they’re a force to be respected when they show up. BG of course needs nothing, if they get a linking I might die from the force of that facepalm, or at least get a concussion.

Coverage is a huge issue. JQ is a “full” server but NA is rarely queued.. Other servers have queues in NA on multiple maps, but are empty at other times. Fights are almost never “balanced” at any time frame.

You want people fighting at the same times with roughly equal numbers for “balance” but the servers have coverage all over the place. How do you fix that?

Telling players who don’t live in NA that their money and time doesn’t count isn’t going to work. It will just make them mad and they will leave the game. And the players will game that system too.

most those off hour guilds are just pvd and would get rekt in NA timezone. i could care less if some unskilled night capper would get mad cause his pvd is nerfed. They’re zombies m8

stale match ups week after week. We need a lot more variety but all we’re getting is locked tiers in NA. No1 cares about ppt we just wanna get new fights every week.

Most our guilds run decent comps and are wvw vets that are on teamspeak etc.

We did have the 1-up 1-down system during one of the tournaments. The result was every single match in the mid-tier was broken. It is not a better system.

One of the bigger problems with 1-up-1-down is that at natural barriers, two teams would commonly swap week after week, leaving three teams (the one that went up, and the two that remained where it was) getting steamrolled every other week.

There are servers that get steam rolled every week m8. Can’t really avoid it. would rather have 1 up and 1 down with variety than locked stale tiers that kill servers and the game mode. Put it up for a vote. This glicko system has to go.

Sounds like a T1 problem, you don’t really see this in T2 as far as I’ve seen. Hell, I don’t think I’ve ever seen boon sharing mesmers in T2, all I see is the horde of necromancers, eles, and guardians.

Well, nobody down here want CD to stay either. The only ones content with that outcome is Arena Net (since they are not bothering in do somenthing about it).
I mentioned on another thread, we already seen this happen before and the only solution was manual intervention. But problably since the pairings will change eventually, they will use that as a excuse to do nothing.

we’ll see tonight if any of these stale match ups change but i wouldn’t hold my breathe.

I credit DB’s strong community and tremendous skill for their strong showing. Only a few weeks ago, BG was beyond reach. Now both TC and DB are giving BG competition. DB is coming from Tier 2 and that is some amazing growth in skill in a short time. It is good to see TC make such an strong leap in skill over the past week also.

This shows that WvW is game were personal skill growth is still possible. Keep up the good work DB.

I’m liking FA for the past few months. Outnumbered for the most part versus JQ and YB but doing decent and good community so far.

Put it this way, zerg busting claiming guilds can test their skills here

You must not play in SEA timezone.

FA runs the biggest map blob during SEA with ND, CA and GK all running as one giant 3 headed monster.

I barely ever see YB, they keep their head down. I believe they are not playing this week to ensure they don’t move back to tier 1. I have no idea how big YB is until they come out and play in the next few weeks.

I have never seen FA being outnumbered by YB.

JQ always outnumbers FA when the 3 headed monster isn’t running.

In my opinion, if you want to bust blobs in SEA then JQ is your place – you get double or triple teamed by decent guilds that want fights and we have quite decent pugs.

YB may also be a good option but until I see what their SEA population is I wouldn’t commit to that. You don’t want to be a 15 man guild taking on ND+CA+GK without any pugs, you’ll just get steamrolled.

FA has plenty of players. One of the best ocx and now best sea’s in the game but that’s not enough for them. they want more. They even have a fat EU blob guild Hel. These guys spam on all the boards and even lion’s arch.

Nothing will change until ANET does away with this terrible ppt/glicko system that awards night capping coverage wars. Win you go up lose you go down would be pretty sweet and the match ups would always be fresh. locked tiers are terrible.

SoS will have it’s day again, as it will always have a large casual OCX population.
The situation in NA/EU is unfortunate but T3 contains two other servers that are “broken” in other ways (SBI/CD has no organized guilds, just PuG blobs; Maguuma is losing a lot of guilds ATM, unwilling to push to change it’s situation) so it will likely to remain in that situation unless a large group of NA guilds transfer or they get a few more patient PuGmanders willing to rebuild.

Sure seemed that way, and friends of mine on Maguuma said they weren’t trying because DB/JQ were boring to fight. I wish FA would decide to tank back to T3. T3 was way more fun fighting SOS/SBI.

That one week we were in T2 it was the long weekend and VP and DAWN were going full kitten plus you know MAG doesn’t have any ocx or sea. we just get pvded over night as always. Plus, we got a unlucky roll back into T3

But that’s the game, some weeks you will get crushed, some weeks you will crush others … and every now and then you get pitted in some fair fights.

Boons are fine when you apply them at the right time but it’s come down to everyone stacking them up for the entire fight. just imagine having 25 stacks of stab on for a minute. Yeah, that would be OP but over 1 minute of protection is pretty bad too. Boons should all be kinda like stab. pop em at the right time of the fight. Boons should be capped! Caps should be 10 seconds for protection, quickness, fury, retaliation and 5 seconds for resistance. If the boons were capped you would actually have to pop boons at the right time making the combat less brain dead.

It’s something you can’t do much about. Only PPTERS will worry about that stuff
