mag has the longest current server locked streak so if that’s not opening BG aint opening anytime soon.

Rangers, warriors, thieves and engi’s are not as good as the other classes.

So, about BG being popular ‘issue’, as a pug in BG, I would attribute it to the solidarity of the community, the good relationship between active guilds and the great atmosphere that many veterans earnestly foster. I have many alt accounts in different servers where I occasionally jumped in wvw to farm gift of battle for. The team/map chat in BG is generally more tolerable, less meme, less misogynistic, less raging and very clear in callouts, objective watching status, etc. Outside of reset day, we never queue in all maps, only EB is queued. We have many commanders who patiently take in pugs, train them and float. They respond very quickly to our scouts’ call and scouts in BG are strong in numbers and quality. For the last 2 months, I’ve seen guilds departing from BG because they couldn’t find fights in our matchup and it’s not the bad thing. In general, BG having a solid militia has something to do with the efforts to make wvw fun and fair to everyone in our server. It’s always bustling with activities there.

BG aint that great m8. BG just have the thickest blobs and pin snipers. Have to admit they’re good at ppt tho. That’s about it

JQ and BG are pretty stacked. I don’t know how one can complain about the other having “too many”

A lot of our guys got t3 or the warbringer and it looks pretty good out there on our charr’s and Norns.

I’m just really curious, what is this supposed to add to WvW? People will just fly away instead of fighting now, or sit on ballista’s. At least disable gliding while in combat.

They already run away which is prob faster than gliding.

In NA no team with red is winning the match up. There’s a reason when they made this game all the BL’s were the same. It was so no one team would have a disadvantage or advantage and the red bl for the most part is a disadvantage. How about just go back to 3 alpine bl’s and be done with it or hell just make everyone have deserted bl atleast we could all have the bad map as our home bl lol.

Really now? Resistance is the only defense against condi spam meta and believe me condi spam meta is boring as hell. It is cheesy and tanky at the same time. There are not enough condi cleanses in the game to prevent condition damage properly.

Someone said not every class has boon corrupt. But not every class has resistance either. Only revenant and some mesmer builds can give it properly(mes is bad though). So either corrupt or use null field for resistance problems.

Yup, without resistance it becomes a horror show out there in large scale fights. People just don’t understand what they’re asking for.

Really easy to corrupt. It’s the first thing to go. It’s a L2P issue

If you’re an EU player and play EU timezone I would suggest going to an EU server.

Everything about the old system was perfect except for the money cost. Could have easily switched gold for karma or some new wvw currency. ez pz. Now everything upgrades on it’s own if you got a camp or two. and it’s become turtle bunker ever since. Old system actually costed supply so now supply isn’t as important so you know what that means, more siege. That’s why reset is fun, nothing is upgraded and you can actually get to your enemy. THEY EVEN FORTIFIED INNER WATERGATE ON GARRISON ON ALPINE BL! IT WAS PAPER FOR A REASON! THEY EVEN RUINED WATERGATE RUSHES. TURTLE TURTLE. It seems that everything they do makes wvw worse by the day. We need to get an actual expert in charge of wvw that actually plays the game and is hardcore about the gamemode. They listen to too many siege humpers on these boards. Hell, i’m sure a lot of us would do it for free, I know I would.

We had this for like, weeks if not months. To the point where it got so boring and lame that at least 1 of those servers intentionally tanked their rating so they’d fall out of T1 into T2 for something different and fun.

they will not nerf ac’s. they want everyone to turtle in their keeps and towers. they added t3 doors and DOUBLED the HP on ac’s for a reason. Soon all the commanders and guilds will quit and we’ll all just wait in our keeps and towers for someone to attack. FUN STUFF

Mag fights well….they have a full que ebg 24/7….and enough runoff to have a full que on 1-2 other bl at the same time during primtime…and they are well coordinated. Why aren’t they fighting the top of the top population worlds? Shouldn’t that qualify you for fighting the best of the best? And don’t tell me they “dont ppt”……come look at our maps and say that, wouldn’t surprise me if the “we dont ppt” is a propaganda movement created to ACTUALLY ppt. They hold the things they take, they upgrade them with watchtowers and ewp. They direct their numbers in concentrated areas and they hold to increase their ppk, while maintaining their foots up the other enemy bl’s doors. I mean thats what I would do if I was planning PPT.

Tc and cd just getting bullied at this point. We can’t fight their zergs since they run so huge. Unfortunately the primary reason their kd is so high is due to them just eating the smaller numbered fish. That shouldn’t be the case! I’ve only seen like 1 mag group fight through a group larger than them this week…and they did a good job even though they lost. Ya, the fact that mag even loses when outnumbered should tell you something about this mode…

BG had decent fighters as well, they fight like monkeys and guerilla fighters its kinda cool (they plan ambushes all the time and engage you from behind or hide behind hills or whatever)…. in terms of winning fights I’d give a slight nod to mag though but thats just cause they abuse stealth and mesmers and they run larger.

Lol @ numbers. Even BG and JQ get roasted my maguuma in fights. Only reason maguuma is ppting is because the match up is a snooze.

I’ve been facing JQ this week and they don’t seem very big at all. It’s certainly not an objective measurement, but they might actually have lost some folks.

They had 2 server links now they have 0. Of course they’re gonna have less numbers. The thing JQ has is they got a commander that k trains 16 hours a day so they’ll be ok.

You should have more problems with JQ opening than Maguuma since they’ll have a ton of guilds move into their server. Maguuma has less than any server out their right now tbh.

I think they close mag because of the crying on the boards and reddit about everything and anything mag does. the near 3 kdr doesn’t help.

Defending is boring, that’s why barely anyone does it. No one cares about ppt. Maybe if you built the tower or keep you would want to defend it but it’s been the same for almost 5 years. No one cares about these towers and keeps for the most part.
