Why would you make OS a PvE map like EotM? Imagine all the pve pugs trolling GvG’s and 1v1’s. PvP is not a reward/loot game, leave it like that.

+/- duration food allows for people to better plan strategy. This game lacks that already and removing more of it is a bad idea.

I disagree and think it’s the complete opposite.

If they tone down the condition duration/reduction foods, it will give players more freedom to choose food that actually complements their builds. Many people choose Lemongrass Poultry soup simply to negate the +40% duration of Koi Cakes/Veggie Pizza. If it was shaved down to something along the lines of 25%, players wouldn’t feel so pigeonholed into having to run -condi duration food.

Also, 40% condition duration is quite high compared to the benefits other foods give. It’s the equivalent of going 8 points into your condition duration trait line. You then still get the additional +70 condition duration. Most other foods that give you a stat increase only have their high stat giving you the equivalent of investing 2 in their respective trait line.

Exactly, less condi duration would mean more planning and therefore less spaming

I’ve been using focus off-hand lately due to the large amount of people playing heavy condi builds. Works really well due to earth n° 4 cleanse (3 condis) and n° 5 which grants invulnerability for 3 sec. N° 5 allows you to put really heavy pressure with no consequence at all, trigger your rotation and heal (If using healing signet)
I also run cleansing fire when against condi necros and engis.

The counter to that being the fact that you have VERY little chance of escaping should things go south. While Earth 4 and 5 are good, all be it with 5 having a little too long of a cool down (imo) the rest of the skills are meh and the loss of heals (using D/F) as well as mobility (Vs D/D) doesn’t quite make up for it in my opinion.

What you loose in heals (off-hand dagger n° 5) you gain in defense. Earth skills mentioned above (forgot to mention that magnetic wave will not only cleanse 3 condis but will also reflect projectils), swirling winds will destroy all incoming projectiles (extremely useful against condi thieves and engis), you still got 2 ways to interrupt skills (air n°5 and water n° 5) and you can get to 25 stacks of might without even trying with fire shield.

Leaving the leveling aspect aside, I think the point is: you’d have gotten the same amount of dungeon tokens in that time running dungeons. But those dungeon tokens convert to salvageable and forgeable rares and exotics. They effectively double the reward. Your 3,5k badges, on the other hand, cannot be used to work on any long term endgame personal goal (such as a legendary).

You are right, anyway what I meant with it is that the amount of badges you can get in EotM is far superior to the amount you can get in WvW

Before doing this they should lower the amount of badges you get from EotM. A week ago during season my server got green and I logged into EotM 5 days to level my guard since I was told the experience was insane. Those 5 days of playing I got almost 3.5k badges just for spamming 1.
Therefore it would be ridiculously easy for almost anyone to get ascended stuff at the badge costs people are proposing. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love to be able to do stuff with my badges other than pile them up in my wallet.

I do solo roam most of the time though I do pack aswell when my friends are on but since we are just a few (3) I go solo most of the time.

Herro fellow elementalists, I’ve been playing a D/D ele for a long time now and lately I’ve been wondering about D/F which I tried before but didn’t like cause I didn’t know how to rotate my skills in order to get that CC/dmg combo D/D eles use.
I wanted to know if anyone had an effective damage rotation for this weapon set. If you also have a vid that would help alot!

its decent in PVE even if not optimal.
You can use it with staff by swapping renewing stamina to blasting staff (and cleansing water to aquamancer alatracy if you think you’re ok without)

Power is way too low, with 1415 power you’ll take ages to kill anything. Unless this is a zerg d/d ele I don’t see how it could work.

Something like this would require alot less healing power due to water trait line and evasive arcana and you’ll be able to output alot more dps:

The OP is saying P/D thief is dead easy and it is. Huge amount of condi pressure and a kitten load of survivavility.

Is a shell build that works doesn’t have to be exact to this just hit close to 2.6k armor, close to 2k power if you can, 30% crit chance (pre fury), and 16k hp. Fill in your gear for what you like but those are the usual marks to hit for d/d roaming.

Yes it is viable to roam you won’t be 1vXing to many good players but that goes for any class.

Wouldn’t this be a better option though? Slightly more power, condition dmg, ferocity, and hp. Little less healing power and toughness.

Those numbers look really good, have you tried it solo/group?

Usually when taking a PvP build to WvW you need to mix gear stats to compensate for the difference that PvE (WvW) and PvP have. Build looks solid, I’d play with gw2skills.net and see how my stats change in order to optimize it before I put so much work on crafting gear.

You can go standard 0/2/0/6/6 or 0/0/2/6/6 with a mix of celestial/knights/cavalier. Works really well now that celestial has been buffed. Runes of strength and sigil of battle + your choice (i’m trying out sigil of intelligence atm).

I’ve been crafting a celestial set for my ele, today I got my first 5 charged crystals and was able to craft the insignia. I also crafted the gossamer pant lining and panel, now when I go to the discovery tab I can see the gossamer pieces but not the insignia which makes it impossible to craft the item.
I already checked and I haven’t crafted those pants. If anyone has any idea or if I’m missing something please tell me! Thanks

Depends on what you are looking for. If you wan’t to join blobs and run big trains then you can go to JQ, TC, SoS or BG. If you are looking for smaller scale/skill demanding fights then I suggest lower tiers (Silver league servers)

Been having skill lag since the realease of feature patch, starts at 11 am server time and ends at about 9 pm server

My flesh golem wont always attack when roaming in WvW. I pick a target, start attacking and most of the times he just stands there

Have you tried dps switching mug for flanking strike? That 5% damage boost for bs might be nice.

1) Not much to do about P/D thieves, we’ll have to wait for Anet to do something about them. When it comes to necros I keep heavy pressure by being close to them, make sure to dodge when staff is on. They have really low mobility so it’s easy to have them at bomb range

2) You can use S block and tool kit blocks to close the 1500 gap with rangers, I don’t use rocket boots, I use elixir S for the stealth and to avoid constant CC. You can also use elixir gun (has a stun breaker on tool belt, condi removal and a pretty strong auto attack) that can help against condi classes.

Perplexity runes are ain’t only the 5 stacks on interrupt, you apply 3 when struck + the confusion duration.

I’m not playing P/D condi build cause it’s way too OP. Sticking to my good ol’ D/D power build

No need to go perplexity on a p/s engineer, undead or scavinger runes are completely fine. Engis are a really strong condi class
I’d check Wolfineer’s youtube channel for various power/condi builds, he also has footage of the builds being used so you’ll be able to see if you like it
