• Gear Block needs to get nerfed. There is no reason why it is better than a Warriors shield block. Either change how the skill functions or increase the recharge.
• Incendiary Powder also needs to get nerfed, you already have good access to bleeding and confusion, even better than Mesmers. Hell, I’m sure there is plenty of Necromancers cursing engineers because they kept their burning ability.
• Reduce the immobilize duration of Net Shot to 1 second but reduce the after cast, allowing the engineer to react faster but in contrast, allows the target to recover faster, more risk/reward.
• Blunderbuss, reduce the recharge to 8 seconds, remove the bleeding.
• Overcharged Shot, increase the recharge to 20 seconds.
• Jump Shot, reduce the casting time to 3/4th of a second and remove the vulnerability application.
• Slick Shoes, reduce the recharge to 30 seconds, reduce knockdown to 1 second. Kinda copied right from Shocking Aura, each attacker can be affected by this only once every 1 second vs. 2 from Shock Aura.
• Transmute, move to Grandmaster minor trait, Energy Conversion Matrix move to Master minor trait. Sorry engineers, if you want free condition removal every 15 seconds you need to put more into it.

I do not mind Engineers dealing super high damage, I do mind them dealing high damage, a block every 16 seconds and plenty of condition spam. You can have one or the other, but not all.

As for Elementalist, to much burning, so much burning.
Reduce the amount of burning with Drakes Breath, Ring of Fire and Burning Speed.
Our sustain won’t be as horrible when we can’t just spam burning on a bunch of people. Force Ele’s to take a more offensive approach with skills/traits, surviving isn’t the elementalists problem, it’s surviving AND killing.

• Drake Breath, reduce burning from 3 to 2, obvious reasons, even with just 3 ticks, 9 seconds of burning is just broken AND can easily land on multiple people.
• Ring of Fire, reduce the burning from 5 seconds to 3 seconds. Not that big of an issue but in the chaos of a team fight, 5 seconds on 4 people can be a serious issue.
• Burning Speed, reduce the blast radius to 180, the blast is to big for it’s own good. Aim and timing would do the skill justice.
• Cleansing Water, enough with the powerful condition removal. How about this, “Cleansing Water – Soothing Mist passive regeneration is twice as effective. When Soothing Mist ends on an ally, it slightly heals and removes a condition.” There, you can no longer spike off conditions and serves as a passive regeneration plus passive condition removal. For those that don’t math, even if Soothing Mist healing is twice as good it still doesn’t match Virtue of Resolve, even with an uncontrolled condition removal, it still wouldn’t be worth it, so a small heal on the end would be a must to call this a grandmaster trait.

Sigil of Doom! Reduce the poison to 3 seconds, down from 6! The healing reduction from poison turns bunkers into super bunkers, this should have been nerfed last balance patch.

I’m in silver and while we certainly do have scouts sitting on our stuff when we do primetime raids we generally don’t at other times. There’s not enough organized groups at other times and the rewards are nonexistant.

This change in isolation is bad for silver; it will not encourage more people to sit around in towers for no rewards. It will encourage them to join a zerg and ktrain with less resistance since swords no longer pop. More flipping = more rewards, but less tactical play.

If the change is combined with something like sentry turrets included in upgrades or reward changes to benefit scouting then it might be ok.

Who plays WvW for the rewards? If you wanna join a karma train you got for EotM. Most people i kow that are roaming, they do it for fun because they hate big blobs and zerging in general.

The more relevant question is: who plays WvW to camp a tower for hours on end waiting for something to happen? Fun is a reward. Tower camping isn’t.

I smh @ people claiming this is going to break up zergs. No white swords + camping is boring = less defense = offensive play trending up. This will increase roaming and PvD zerging.

When roaming I expect to fight other players, say attack a tower or keep in order to get some attention and if lucky a fair fight. Now I’ll most probably run around capping stuff without finding anyone cause they still haven’t added any rewards for defending. Therefore no one will stay to make sure things don’t flip

We locked rams in SM today for about 2min, they still got the gate down by PvD’ing but it was lots of fun

I it can be useful for group/small scale fights but when solo roaming I wouldn’t ever change my kits for Utility goggles. I play a power engineer and we already have it light against thieves.

I think the Queing system need rework.

After the Solo Q notice is up, you have 30 seconds period to decide whether you’ll participate or not. If you decide not to participate, the que will go directly down to next player. The game debriefing timer will start counting once there’re 10 people who decide to participate.

That way, trollers who enjoy trolling people in skyhammer will get along together, having 10 dedicated trollers trolling each other, while the rest of the community can get away this crap and have some real PVP elsewhere.

Only situation I can see them actually working is defending a tower/keep from a ninja cap (2 or 3 enemies). In open field fights it would be really easy for your opponents to either range them or lure you away from them since they don’t have to fight on point.

‘On highest settings’ is the problem. Also try adjusting the wvw model number and quality settings on the client.

It’s like any other bunker/point holding build, all the CC annoys people lol. I’m one of those though I do like having one of you on my side

I myself don’t have map completion and won’t go for it either but lots of times I’ve seen in map chat while in WvW that ppl QQ’d about missing only 1 POI they couldn’t get. It’s more of a patience game, you’ll have to wait to get different colors.

I think your best bet is NSP honestly. They have some good roamers and they will be in Bronze tier soon. I can honestly say i havent seen a huge NSP zerg in the 3 weeks GoM has been up against them. Dont jump on the DR bandwagon

NSP had great roamers. XOXO disbanded, those guys offered really fun fights. Not sure if HOLY is strill active

At this point in time it just seems to make sense to cluster the remaining people into however many servers required. Perhaps there only needs to be 6-8 as opposed to 24 to have decent match-ups 24/7.

They don’t even need to do that. Just make the borderlands like eotm and start with one instance of it. As it fills up spawn a new instance to get more players into. All the green servers get paired together, all the red, all the blue.

No, not a perfect solution but it would keep the maps full, and the fights going. Since they’ve released the mega-server there’s not really any server pride to be worried about.

You really don’t get it. This is a horrible idea. People like seeing familiar faces in WvW. They like playing with the same people. The EotM structure is horrible for that.

They need a new map. We haven’t had a new WvW map since launch (EotM is a PvE karma train map and is way too unbalanced to ever be in WvW). People are bored with the same 2 maps every week.

No, people like to go in and fight other players. Who they fight or what server they are fighting against/representing in the fight doesn’t matter. People wvw to fight other players. Most people couldn’t care less about what map they fight on. Sure a new map would be nice and fresh for a week or three but at the end of the day people don’t really care about the map itself. They care to consistently get good solid fights.

You are giving your own opinion here, “who they fight or what server they are fighting against/representing in the fight doesn’t matter” I do care. What you are offering can be achieved in EotM, just log in with your guild group and encourage other guilds to do the same.
If you make borderlands another megaserver trash map then defending wouldn’t exist. Some of the best fights I ever had were defending keeps, now why would I defend if it’s worth nothing? No one’s time is gonna be wasted if I don’t defend, just let it cap we’ll get it back later. There you go… another k-train map for the pve funz
I also like to fight alongside people that are not in my guild but they are in my server. I don’t want to go into WvW wondering which people I’m gonna play with, I like how DR people do stuff and I want to keep playing with them.

Today while fighting a necro I noticed something strange that may or may not be a bug, that’s why I’m here lol. Necro popped staff n°5 and I accidentally walked into it, as soon as mark triggered protection and stability instantly appeared. Now I can understand protection since I use “Protection Injection” but I’m a 3-kit power engi, no stability in any of my skills or traits (4/4/0/2/1).
Another thing is I’ve been pulling people off walls with toolkit “Magnet” skill, hit them with pry bar and then they appear again over the wall. It’s strange cause I get to hit them haha
