Thief mobility is quite hilarious when you put it up on the block vs old rtl. You don’t need to stealth to get away as a thief. You just spam infiltrator’s arrow for a 900 yard blink every 6 initiative. The lowest cd we can jolt forward like that is rtl once, and blink once. The thief will easily break combat to attain full run speed, while we’ll be stuck in it for a very long time while cycling various sprints and long cds. We already know how broken stealth is, and the thief should get to move that fast, too? And we shouldn’t? Why again? Because we could reset a fight? That is a horrible excuse created by people who didn’t know how to flat-out kill a squishie.
P.S. We can’t catch warriors either. Or rangers. That’s 2 medium armor, and 1 heavy, that outrun light armor.
On the flip side, we can have close to full sprint uptime if we spec that way. 10 air’s zepher’s boon gives us a sprint from water, air, and fire combo auras. 10 arcana’s elemental attunement gives us sprint on attuning to air. (out of combat swap to) Glyph of Elemental Harmony for another 10s of swiftness while in air. You can put on a staff to combo swiftness from earth to air, then air 4 for more swiftness, swap back to daggers, and finish with a burning speed &lightning flash until air or water is back up again. I just tested the full combo. Forgot to mention updraft for sprint. I hit air aura refresh in the combo once and that put me at a full minute of sprint.
I’d rather have weapon swap option than old rtl. Something I feel we need more than anything else.

The maximum distance you can go to needs to be reduced. Show actual boundary lines.
Heartseeker shouldn’t do more damage than a meteor shower. It’s a single weapon attack that can be used while mobile.

Using warbanners in GvG seems like cheating.
While stealth needs an overhaul, I don’t think a block should trigger reveal. That doesn’t make any sense.
Anything that deals damage to the enemy for even 1 tick/reflect should take someone out of stealth. They should then have to use re-stealthing moves. I know thieves have the remove-conditions-in stealth, but if that first tick goes off first, then the stealthing should cancel. Does that sound unfair?
When you’re playing a thief you know you’re not stealthed, but to the enemy you are. That’s why the class is broken. That’s why it’s very trolly and a joke on pvp as a whole.
Also, you don’t even need the stealth as much as you think you do, because you have the fastest movement outside of norn’s channeled become-the-bear. (GW2 wiki is not working right now to link), the highest unpredictable burst. Meaning you can dump mass crits from stealth. Your class has highest survivability when playing glass cannon.
You have no counter-claim that stands up vs the facts.
C.U. is talking about RvR driven PVE content. So you still get to interact with npcs, that you can become yourself, and also block your enemies out of that entire content.
In other PVP realm MMOs, the only place you can do that are in questing areas. And even those have limits, such as guards that mass-spawn if you kill players near them too many times. I believe C.U. will give you an entire dungeon system that has full pvp interaction within. That is revolutionary. That remains unmapped for this particular franchise. Each patch is giving us content that takes us out of WvW. Where the only thing that brings people into it is going into a puzzle that was already taken out of WvW maps due to whinging.
Grats on the title. You beat the game. Enjoy the summer away from gaming. But I bet you’ll be back in PVP mode by the end of the season.

I want way more matches in GvG. 10th place is just silly.
More maps would mean less concentrated numbers in the same areas.
Timed gates, jumps, levers, controls, etc. would all make for zerg-breaking. You know, like how you add those to spvp instead of WvW, the thing people actually care about.

Tier 1 sounds horrible. I haven’t had to wait more than 30 mins to get into a map of choice, and never was locked out of all 4.
Account-wide ranks would be very nice. Especially if the accounts were 80. But it’s also nice to put oil mastery on just some random character you barely play just to mess around with it.
I’ve changed my spec. up to 4 times in a day, depending on the situation. It’s like 3s. I don’t see it being a problem. I just wish we could buy a trait-master npc to spawn at current location, like the bankers, and trading post. I do wish we could save specs and just click a button to swap between then, and auto-equip gear we use for them. Other MMOs have this feature. I hope it’s being considered already.
Also, stop making more spvp maps, and give us something for wvw.
If there was no WvW in this game I wouldn’t even be playing it. I bet half the players in the game wouldn’t.
The claiming needs an overhaul as a whole.
Who isn’t sick of non-buff guilds claiming keeps just to have their logo displayed on it?
As for claiming a camp right after taking it, some say that if your guild did the most damage to the claimer, you will be able to claim it right away. I’m not sure what the actual coding is.

With the matchups completely bad every week I stopped caring about being on for reset weeks ago, and spend most of the time in open-field, and the jumping puzzle. I almost never buy a keep upgrade, or use a buff other than +5 supply on something. Because it is completely pointless, other than a waste of gold, to do so.
How many 1000s of posts/views are required for a change?
You can start by limiting the # of players allowed on a map when the other team has under 20. Another limit for 40, and so on. Instead of 80 vs 20, 10 of which are AFK. Voice comms are more discussions about “what other pvp games are fun right now?”
TC needs to stop trying to join my party in the puzzle. I don’t care what you want. Just die and come back and die again.

Hi, my server doesn’t have 100 players watching this thread to upvote me.
Nobody here wants as many players as TC has. That’s just silly that the game puts that many players in one area. If it were doubled, the lag fest would make it unplayable, and serve as the primary reason for why people leave t1 and t2 servers.
On opening night I saw a blob of 40 tc, then another 40 joined from their hiding spot by garrison. That was hilarious, as we didn’t even match the numbers of the first 40. Later, we took back garrison with the out-manned buff on. Am I complaining while saying this? No. Of course not. I rarely died, and I made a metric ton of loot. As did my fellow guildies.
You guys are coming off as talking down to the way we play, and free-spirited enjoyment of the game. It’s a little over-the-top. Get a grip. I’m sure there will be 5 separate chapter-length responses to this. Perhaps dissecting it down to “you play for loot, we play to win”, or “nice points, bro”, or even “it’s not our fault you don’t have players”.

If your team is dying more than us, then you lose imo. Nobody cares about the score at the end of the week. That’s why people come to Maguuma, because we would rather just kill people and laugh at them.

Seems like every day someone is complaining about another class until they get their way, and that class loses something.
Stop trying to ruin more things for an already squishy class. Hey, you downed the ele not because you’re more skilled, but because they probably had no cds left, and you didn’t anticipate using an immobilize, or didn’t have one up at the time. Too bad for you. Why are you fighting eles in front of portals anyway? That’s like fighting perma-stealth thieves and chasing them all over the map. It’s pointless.
Eles took 2 huge hits: mobility reduction, and using healing skills in mist form. And after the resent patch, with all the new dots and fears, it’s even harder to cleanse. D/D is becoming terrible compared to other weapon sets because of endless whinging on the forums.
Vapor form is not more powerful than other classes. Look how godly the healing is of ranger down state. If you don’t spike them, you’ll be sitting there for another minute trying to out-damage it. Refuge/timewarp/warbanner rezzing is also un-preventable. Everyone is entitled to their own set of life-saver abilities.
Put all the siege vendors at the end of the jumping puzzles.
Add universal trait resetter to Art of War guild panel so you don’t have to go to spawn to change specs.
Make it so we can enter houses and attack from balconies, etc. More sniper/kiter themed WvW terrain.
Also, I use tempest defense in staff. I was in garrison yesterday and the lightning hit me and dropped me to half health, and that proc’d a shocking aura on me. It was amusing.
It’s a free aura + increased damage on knocked down or stunned foes. Essential imo. With 10% reduction on air recharge and 30 arcana, you don’t need to worry about air attunement being down, unless you’re trying to run away while spamming cc fields behind you.
I’m confused, does fall damage trait proc on knockdown or something?
I love when I use armor of earth and it neither breaks stun, nor gives stability. lmao

Are you people replying even playing WvW as D/D? Because none of those things matter anymore.
The buffs that the other classes received over-ride the lack of buffs that D/D got. Staff is moderately better when played, and amazingly better on paper. Condition builds are still horrible.
I’m running full zerker, s/d, arc shield, power, and blast.
No point wasting time trying to play d/d anymore in wvw. It is kitten into the ground compared to what the other classes can do to it.
It’s been annoying playing ele since rtl nerf, and if you have to run 1k+ healing to tank like you did pre-patch, then it’s not fun at all imo. They give the best mobility to classes with higher armor value simply because everyone complained about RTL being able to reset fights.
People don’t seem to realize that we need to be able to survive more than 1 target hitting us at a time. That’s how WvW is played. With the amount of muscle memory, and work it takes to play ele properly, other classes don’t even have to try, and they output way more damage.
I feel sorry for anyone else who mains an ele. I made alts but don’t want to play them. I don’t really want to play ele either now. All of the changes read well on paper, but putting them into practice gives unsurvivable out-comes when weighed against the abilities of the other classes. This is usually what happens: crippled, can’t move, dead. What is my 2600+ toughness doing? Nothing. Why am I playing a tank if my only option is running away and hoping I can spam dodge in water to remove the endless conditions? sigh It’s a complete disaster what they did this patch. Ele = free kill.
