Here’s my screenshot from seeing the starting dragon. There has to be some sort of “perfect storm” of events that has to happen for you to see it. I’ve been back there lots of times and haven’t yet seen it again. I saw it over a year ago. o.o

I can make it up the third floor just fine by myself. The only thing that stops me is the “you have to complete this event to pass” part. But that part can be duoed. Everything else on the third floor I can run past or smash on my own.
You can use the gems you purchase to buy keys (or whatever). I’ll probably save mine and see what else comes out but personally, I’ve been entering any contest I see for the Mini Mr. Sparkles and I’m happy to have a guaranteed way to get one without spending stupid amounts of money.
The only problem I have is with the bomb door room. Without having specific classes with your group, it really is a suicide room even with trying to clear some of them out.
And maybe having a slower respawn timer with the button-gate switch room.
Since Azurite was originally obtained inside of the molten facility, is there any chance we can get it again through the fractal version? Maybe? Please?
Just as an FYI, the mysterious green/blue/pink keys also drop from the toxic seed boxes that you can purchase up to 5/day for 750 glory in the Heart of the Mists from the rank glory vendors. I get 0-2 keys per day from 5 boxes.
nope but they should give me back the Gold used to get that high and the Progress in cof runs is Gold and maybe dungeon tokkens the Progress in fractals was Level scale so they’re took my Progress away but they won’t touch the Progress from speedrunners for what reason?
You got Fractal relics, Fractal weapons, all the normal rewards for finishing fractals. The gold you spent on getting to that level was your choice and it is not something that should be given back to you. You received rewards for finishing those high level fractals and those rewards are not being taken away.
What is being taken away is the actual fractals that existed from 30 on up. They are being replaced with new versions of those fractals.
I know how upset you are and how attached you are to the fractal difficulty number you obtained, but those versions of the fractals will no longer exist.
Should someone who never got a chance to experience Twilight Arborkittenbe able to get there because it once existed? I don’t think so…should dungeon master have been reset until we finished the new path? Probably. I would have been okay with that.
Again, I’m sorry you’re losing your levels that you liked so much, but hopefully you will find new challenges and new levels of difficulty as you progress through the new levels in fractals.

so you haven never played highscale fractals … because 10-30 lowscale 30-60 midlescale and 60-80 highscale:)
No, because I don’t enjoy beating my face against a brick wall. My experience in the 48s was liken to trying to kill a semi-truck with my bare hands. Lots of health, stupid amounts of damage and having to time everything just right and it takes forever. I have much more fun personally doing a variety of content with my guildmates. YMMV.
If you enjoy beating up huge bags of health then good for you. I’m sorry you’re losing your levels, but I am personally very excited to see what gambits/instabilities we have to work through in order to finish the levels. I prefer more puzzle type content with mechanics so that I need to think and figure out what we have to do in order to get to the end. That is my personal playstyle and it does not mean that everyone should like the same thing. I respect that others enjoy doing things differently, but honestly above 50 was “broken”. If you had to use revive orbs to make it past the agony it is clear (to me) that going up that high was not yet intended.
A developer has said in another thread that they do plan on developing even more variables and different sets of difficulties for 50+. I see this patch as a fix to dealing with repetitive grinding against large healthbags for little reward (besides personal accomplishment).
you didn’t have to use orb revive you could do it with perfect Timing of Guardian books ele rez and necro deathshroud. So you can’t know is’s unintended you could use this in the 70’s as well so you can get to 80 with this technic I know it works. sooo yeah and I used rez orbs we didn’t have a necro to do it we had thief, ingi , ele double guard it woulnd’t have been enough heal.
If you needed specific class abilities or gemstore consumables, it was unintended. GW2 content is designed in a manner that there aren’t required classes, and gemstore items are optional and never required.
So speedrun aren’t intended because they Need certain calsses to be that fast so we should delete all they’re Gold. this is your logic REALLY?

You haven’t lost anything…in fact unless they’re changing the way we infuse items and haven’t said as much yet you’re getting +5 AR that someone who infuses after the patch will not get.

New Infused Ascended Rings and Back Items will have an empty slot.
You’re right that they won’t get the +5 AR automatically, but they will be able to add an inscription to get that extra +5 AR, and you can’t possibly tell me that the new +5 AR inscription is effectively the same as 250 ectos. Not when +1’s that can be combined ‘drop frequently’.
You’re getting +5AR that a newly infused item will not get.
You will be getting the exact same slot that you can infinitely upgrade.
You can’t take the +5 AR infusion out to combine with the ones that drop (just as you can’t take out runes & such without salvaging the item).
You will NOT lose any AR you currently have.
So you spent your 250 ectos to infuse your item and will get a free +5AR infusion (different from the versitile simple infusion which goes in a different slot entirely)
Your “new” infused back piece still costs the same as one someone else creates after the patch but they have to work to get the AR infusions to put in there.
This clearer? You’re still getting out ahead and I’m still about 20 ectos away from being able to infuse my back piece and I plan on doing it before the patch.*
*I’ve asked if they’re changing how items get infused but still haven’t received an official answer.

True true… My bachelor’s in Music Education, Master’s in Music and Master’s in Information Science will never be taken away either. My (bad) analogy was more in lines with teachers (and other professions) who have to complete continuing education credits in order to maintain their certification so they can stay in their chosen profession.

Actually, after the patch you get a new infusion slot with a +5 AR infusion in it, and you can upgrade that +5 if you wish by adding stronger ones. You’re going from a static +5 stat to a slot you can upgrade.
Actually after the patch if you ALREADY have an infused item you will get the slot with the +5 in it but if you create one post patch you get an empty slot you can put the new infusions into.

Are non infused back items and rings going to have to be put in the forge still to infuse in order to unlock the new upgrade slot? If not (unlocked by default), that is a huge waste of 250 ectos to all players with an infused fractal capacitator.
This is the question I asked two days ago multiple times in that horribly toxic thread recently closed from general chat. I want to know if the crafting requirements for the extra slot are the same for others after the change.
I really want to know this before the patch goes live too. If the requirements stay the same then I’m going to finish up my stack of ectos and infuse my backpiece beforehand as I’ll get my +5 and the slot rather than just an empty slot!
I don’t get the QQ. I mean…it’s not like Anet blew up all of tyria, shut down the game and told us….come back next year and the world will be “reborn”. Oh and you’ll have to buy the game again….
If getting to the high level fractals was a challenge you enjoyed then you should enjoy the BRAND NEW challenges that you’ll be facing starting with the different gambits at level 30. It’s not just going to be a stupid “how to overcome the suicide machine” there will be actual mechanics to figure out how to progress through the level. (is my hope anyway based on what I’ve read)

I’ve got Golems in a box, Jars of Bees, Jars of Harpy Pheremones, Moletov Coctails, Charrzookas, and quite love grabbing a warrior’s banner and running off with it to smack something with it. Those things are SUPER fun to play with….and really how else am I going to attack things when I’m roaming around as a toxic krait. You’ve not experienced anything til you’ve taken down a foe with a golem in a box while transformed into something else entirely. And really…..a princess doll with a charrzooka….priceless.

My god, you can use bundles while transformed? CHANGE OF PLAN BOYS!! Getting sonic berserker tonic sooner than expected, you don’t know fear until a sonic berserker charges you with a fiery greatsword xD
I haven’t tried picking up the ele conjured weapons yet, but the consumable items you can totally used while transformed!! And while you can drop the jars of bees for other people to pick up, you can’t pick them up while transformed, but you can use them from your inventory!
Actually top instance you only get a key piece the very first time. I’ve done the big boss LOTS of times and only get an option for a champ box and not keys.
I have 5-7 green & blue keys and need pink pieces and not getting any dropping for me. -_-
It’s now the same as dungeons. You can’t do the dungeon again on another character to get the daily bonus tokens and you can’t do the fractal again on another character to get another daily bonus chest.

I believe from what I’m reading that after the patch you’ll get infused backpiece with a new slot that contains a +5 AR in it, not an empty slot. You’ll also be able to go beyond +5 in that new slot.

I’ve read through that myself several times and I’m still confused.
To assist you in your ventures into the mists, a new agony resist infusion slot has been added to all infused rings and backpacks.
All current infused rings and backpacks will start with a +5 agony resist infusion (this replaces the +5 agony resist that was previously on the item itself).
So the rings that I have that are infused will get a +5 AR infusion in a new separate slot.
Will the process to infuse ascended items change? (If so, how?)
Does this mean ascended rings/trinkets will all now just have an AR slot and we can add in AR there?
Does this mean my ascended sclerite backpack can now have AR?
Does this change affect ascended weapons?
I love the revamps and I’m excited for a variety of end bosses. The Maw is fun & all, but I’m glad to have others to look forward to as well.
Yes, I’ll be losing levels when they reset me down to 30, but it’ll be account bound now so I’m quite happy about that. I don’t give a flying kitten about the leaderboards….any of them.
I hope that the revamp brings new things I can get with pristine fractal relics as I’ve never needed to spend even one and have a bunch sitting in my bank. I don’t need rings for alts because I’ve gotten them as drops.
Yes they are. They are punishing us in multiple ways:
All the effort we spent getting to higher levels wasted, without a compensation (or at least it seems that way). For **** sake, they reimbursed people who bought multiple gathering tools when they made them account bound, which was entirely their fault as well.
Making it an even bigger casual fest: Fractal weapons at lvl10? Screw that. Fractal weapons were the only skins in the game that actually had some sort of skill cap to them, even with the horrendous RNG. If anything, they should limit Fractal weapons to lvl30+ or even 40+. It should be harder to get them, not easier.
The account bound thing is kind of both ways. It’s a punishment in the sense that I basically wasted all my time leveling up my alts, but it’s good in the sense that after the update, it’s going to be account bound. I wonder if they’re making the dailies account bound though, because that would suck pretty hard and make the game even more alt-unfriendly.
They’ve basically ignored everything we’ve been saying for almost a year about Fractals, only to say ’don’t worry guys, we’ll revamp them soon’, having us all anticipated about this upcoming change, only to find out it’s going to screw us over worse than when they would have just left it alone.
They had 1 chance to show some love to their dedicated PvE community. What they basically did with this update is saying yeah, no, we don’t give a toss about you guys, go die in a fire and leave our game alone, we don’t want you here.
Why not wait & see what the changes are for yourself before complaining DOOM?
I may be at lvl 39 right now but because it’s going to be ACCOUNT wide now…I can overlook losing the levels. All in all I think the changes are good. Still shocked at the resetting to 30, but okay.
request #73039 from last Friday. Still no word back. I hope my gem refund gets to me before the Dreamcleaver goes away…I’d really like to buy one of those. o.o
