You get a little bit of everything. I don’t PvP unless I have to (or I’m really bored) so I couldn’t care less about the PvP skins…..regardless, I absolutely love that I’m getting new stuff. Now when I do play things like dragonball, sanctum sprint, etc. I have pretty armor there now too!

When I get my sanctum model, I just wish I could place it (and leave it) in my home instance as well…. make it so I can decorate my home instance with little things like that.

That being said, if you want your mesmer to use it, they’ll only be able to use it in sPvP since PvP items that go in the PvP locker are for PvP only.

I know this is off on a tangent…..but what’s the difference? Doesn’t it all happen in the same area (heart of the mists)?

As far as I know you should be able to get anything out of the locker that you deposit there on any character. (just hit the deposit all collectables button and they’ll go where they’re supposed to go)

I didn’t know about the forge either!

just deposit it into the PvP locker and it can rot there until you decide if you ever want to PvP…..I don’t PvP myself so mine will just sit there and gather virtual dust forever.

That would be nice…..though I deleted my book soon after getting it because I didn’t have room to store it.

Anyone know how many different recipes there are?

I only addressed people who want the chest at the end of my post, that way i wouldn’t have to post another response to explain myself to them too. I’m sorry, did you say the jump puzzle reeks of PvP? In WvW? That can’t be possible! Do you think people who like PvP want to step into the land of PvE and do those achievements? No, but we do them anyways because guess why. We don’t have a choice either.

You know…I don’t see a single PvP or WvW achievement mingled in with the PvE ones. You can ignore the PvE achievements like us PvErs ignore those in the WvW and PvP sections.

But yet again to get the PvE achievements for the living story we have to deal with people who have nothing better to do than to hide in the dark and kill people that can’t see them.

For those worried about not being able to get the chest at the end of the JP, it has badges in it for a reason, just like players who drop badges when you kill them, you have to work for them.

If you think the complaints are about the chest at the end then you’re sorely mistaken.

There are people who love to have all of the achievements from the events. If this were another of the WvW achievements no would be raising a ruckus about it.

Some of us are in PvE guilds and dislike PvP (and/or WvW). I enjoy WvW and the whole concept of it….but the interactions within the jumping puzzles reek of PvP where it does nothing to benefit your server for what happens in there. As someone else said, the people camping these puzzles for the sole purpose of killing PvE players going in there is like slaughtering ambient creatures. As long as I’m not completely out numbered I can usually hold my own, but not everyone is used to dealing with fighting other people. It is not like fighting PvE mobs.

If they disabled the direct attacking in there and left it so that players could trigger the traps, pick up the rocks and toss them, that would be different….and I think it would be fun. You’d get people using the traps that are in there to take out the other side rather than hiding in the dark to back stab the first person to walk by. I like strategy and skill not dealing with cowards who gang up on others just for the sake of killing them.

Aw, dang. I really want to see a skritt throw bears though!

Here’s the thing. Try gearing more than 2 lvl 80s for pve, high level fractals and wvw (all require different gear sets, esp. ascended trinkets). I have 4 80s atm and even though I would like a 5th I have to stop so I can finish gearing all my characters. 2350 fractal relics for an infused backpack is a lot ~.~

Meh, I have 7 lvl 80s and all have good gear….although I suspect you want all of your alts to be at the highest premium for everything. There’s no reason I need all of my alts to be geared for high level fractals, dungeons, everything. I’ve got a money-maker, fun one, crazy one….they’re all different and I treat them as such. >.>

I just want to be able to lock my mini-map in place so that I don’t accidentally move it instead of myself/camera angle when I’m in a big fight….too often has that gotten me killed. I like having the map there and it’s less than useful when I have to make it tiny. I’ve tried moving it to the top right and I don’t like that either as it just pushes all the text info down. :/

Wait….. you want to make it so that new players don’t have to earn anything? Just let them jump into the game and have the same stuff someone who has spent 6mo-1year working on? That’s exactly why every new account gets 50 gold so they can catch up….oh wait, they don’t. Achievement points are tied to the time & effort a player puts into playing the game. They are fine as they are and if there is stuff beyond whatever place I am in the grand scheme of things….well guess what…I’ll work towards it.

This attitude is exactly what’s wrong with a lot of the kids I see these days (and my ex-husband). They want everything that everyone else has and have no patience or willingness to save up and work towards something.

On a side note – the achievement reward system – will we actually have to spend achievement points to get stuff, or will we just unlock stuff once we reach that particular mark of achievement points and we will be able to buy those items with money or something?

I’m hoping it will be unlocks that we can access at the Hall of Monuments with our other account rewards.

I’m going to ignore your spamtastic announcer and boring PvP and play my delicious PvE content with my omnomberries, starcakes and everything else that’s unique and special.

I don’t blame the Maguuma jerks for ganging up on me repeatedly, chasing me down while I was there alone with their group of 5-10 people just to kill me.

What DOES upset me is that after this one player killed me, he jumped down from the jumping puzzle danced on my body and then proceeded to scarf taffy to puke on me. That is griefing and just being a kitten-hole. Fine, kill me after I’ve been trying to get my clumsy norn self through this puzzle for three hours, just don’t be a jerk. There is no honor in that.

And until I came to this thread I had no idea there were wells that gave invisibility. Heck, I didn’t realize there were torches before the dark room until I tried it a third time (but that’s my fault for not paying attention).

The living story is PvE content, putting one of the achievements in WvW is trolling on Anet’s part. I am not amused.

I have the mini already, it’s not the end of the world if I don’t get this achievement but darn it, I am going to try it again. Abbadon help me, I’m going to try it and if there aren’t a whole bunch of cowards camping the end and I’m given a fairish fight I might get to the end.

I wouldn’t say they are useless, just not optimal.

And I’d love for them to explore this side of the game a little more. Add some exotic breathers and add some underwater content.

I know a lot of people hate underwater combat, but it is a while aspect of the game that was added and I personally would like to see them add some more content that deals with underwater content.

I was hopeful during the last Southsun event because they added a swimming booster, but was quickly let down.

JPs are not everyone’s favorite thing but we get a new one of those every month or two. Give us a little more underwater excitement!

Maybe in a future expansion the Largos will be a playable race, their home city will be out in the unending ocean and completely underwater and they’ll have complete underwater zones too. And it would make it much more desirable to have an aquatic legendary. I’m currently working on Kraitkin because it’s awesome, but it will likely never get a whole lot of use due to the lack of large expanses of aquatic places.

• You can’t rejoin to overflow queue. Overflow queue? What is that? You mean if you left overflow, you want to go back to it? If you have a group member in that overflow you can rejoin it, but honestly, why leave it if you didn’t want to? You are given the option to stay.

Because sometimes if I’m doing something then I don’t want to travel instantly so I’m leaving and I need to relog later to join again.

This is already an option. It’s called “Reenter queue” don’t just mindlessly click “leave queue” then expect to rejoin without leaving the zone & going back.

• You can’t check on what server you are without loging out. Never knew this was a problem for people. How do you not know what server you are on?

Someone said to me during Dragon Bash fireworks that if server is full then system is kicking you to other server.

This is called Overflow. When your server is full it pushes you into overflow which is where all servers come together and become one. You won’t ever get pushed onto someone else’s server unless you guest over there.

Just like there are some items that are native to various regions IRL. I can’t just expect to get anything I want in my home city. So because I’d love several pounds of boiled crawfish but it’s really only available on the Gulf Coast, I should complain that I can’t get it here in the more northern states? Same deal, you want something a heart/karma vender offers, you travel to them.

Oh a bit of a question on transmuting the skin again (slightly off topic). If the item has flavor text on it, when you transmute it and keep the skin but change the stats, does the new item keep the flavor text? (It’s the only reason I haven’t upgraded my Mad Kings backpiece yet).

To the OP if you want to go for an ascended back item, make sure you add the agony resistance from the mystic forge before you put the skin on it. I heard that when you throw a transmuted item in the forge you’ll lose the skin.

On the first bit, yes. the flavor text stays. I transmuted my mad memories three times or more (even switching characters with it) and that flavor text is still there.

On the second bit, good to know if I ever get an ascended back piece!

Get one from one of the temples in Orr that matches the stats you want. It’s an exotic back piece, each temple has different stats.

THIS is why I havent set foot in fractals in months.

You’ll get a couple silver for completing an event but it costs more than that to WP across the world to do a dragon event…..and most of the times you’ll get blues, maybe greens and the occasional white in the chest.

Everyone will be able to buy the food from the TP, not just those that have the recipe.

And the price will continue to drop. It’s already down to 34s and that’s just in 10 minutes.

And by the other guy’s logic we should only ever use runes of divinity because they’re so much better and boost everything. I like the foods that give +200 to a stat plus another boon + xp. or 30%MF & Gold find…..so it’s not like they’re OMG so much better. They’re “celestial” stats.

Maybe it’s not on the TP because no one wants to sell theirs? Ever think of that?

And really, it lasts for 30 minutes and the stats are hardly game breaking….

Something on there was changed and I’d bet my quaggan backpack that it was wording to clarify things such as the fact that recipes were supposed to be in there but weren’t.

It is not a “silent” update…. that would mean it wasn’t listed anywhere and they just wanted to “sneak” something in.

It was on the website. Websites can be edited you know, and edited without anyone realizing it. The page that talks about the Dragon festival has been heavily revised since the original release, not their fault you relied on the wiki and didn’t bother to look at exactly what it said in the trading post.

I remember before Dragon Bash came out the wording on the Rich Coffers seemed to imply that the tickets would be guaranteed (or very common) from the Rich Coffers…..and we all know that isn’t true. Original wording released on the website for Dragon Coffer Tickets " You can find weapon tickets inside Rich Dragon Coffers and (rarely) in Dragon Coffers", and that wording is drastically different now. So really, get over it. You’re going on like you’re entitled to something when you aren’t.

I’m sorry, get over yourself. The Rich Coffer in the Gem Store has always said there was a chance for a recipe. I bought one to try my luck to no avail and wound up with 11 taffy for my 100 gems. There have been comments elsewhere asking about what recipe are they talking about. Maybe if you’d pay attention to things in the game and gem store you might not get all uppity and QQing over Anet trying to fix a problem for those that bought the rich coffers from the gem store.

I just want to know what the ingredients are!! Do I need to make Taffy Glaze?

I’m curious as to what I"ll need to make the Dragon’s Revelry Starcake…..will I need a stack of taffy?

I’m highly doubtful that the crates still drop though. I’ve been out there quite often since the event ended and have never seen a crate drop since Last Stand ended. It’s wishful thinking that the crates are still there and I still have a (extremely rare) chance at getting a blinky staff.

If they still drop and you get a ticket then what? There isn’t anyone to take the tickets.

The southsun flower back piece I noticed disappears on my ranger when she uses the axe & torch skills (but not longbow). but they go away and come back. I’m sure they’ll get these odd bugs fixed soonish.

OMG Thank you!! I had been wanting to move my Mad Memories to another character because the one who had it go the dragon wings. Took me two fine transmutation crystals, but it was worth it! I didn’t want to lose that back skin.
