I completely agree with you! Ascended gear has been out long enough to be tradable and/or be sold for badges. They should also allow us to upgrade stacks of siege.

Today I uninstalled the game. With 13750 AP points did almost everything in Gw2. I was very disappointed when I saw the same Halloween update like last year … not a pumpkin more or less. Also with 450g in my bank I was shocked to see are worth around 2500 gems (30-40$) !!! I just realize its pointless to hope for a better gear or legendary weapons ( besides what I already have ) since game inflation is so high.

I think a gem store utility pack (or packs) would be a great idea. Some things it could include:

-insta level 80 toons (if you’ve leveled to 80 at least once)
-infinite crafting tools
-skill unlocks
-max weapon/ armor (stats only not rarity/skins)
-free map travel

Some will argue that this is P2W. At this point of the games progression, these are more convenience items. ex-No one is going broke on picks or map travel. Only a small minority of brand new players would reap any kind of advantage. That would be fine as they are behind the curve anyway.

Moreover, you could charge well for it. I could see people dropping $50 or more for such an option. Does anyone else like the idea? What else would you be willing to pay for in such a pack?

Guild Wars 2 certainly has it’s flaws. No question about it. But then, if ESO came out, and Wildstar came out and Archeage came out, and they’re all newer and Guild Wars 2 is less junkie than any of them, maybe that’s because it’s easy to say how to make a good MMO, but much harder to actually make one.

So many MMOs come out, and out of them, Guild Wars 2 is one of the most successful. Which doesn’t equal dying to me.

They decided to go and cater more towards the PvE crowd. GW1 was never meant for PvE but rather for PvP, hence the AWESOME pvp system.

People buy games to relax and be entertained. This kind of mistake can happen. Making someone pay for it isn’t likely to accomplish anything positive. It’s not like there’s a need to rehabilitate here.

How amazing would this be? The upper ring has rings for smaller battles and the bottom could hold tons of great larger GvG battles. All the sections are set up already as well as the Queue system used in fighting the NPC’s from the Jubilee event. So you could just use the Queue option to choose which guild you want to fight against. This way, with Megaserver, everyone can get in on the action and you wont be limited to your WvW match up. Not sure if this has be covered anywhere before but i thought it was a neat idea.

This game would never be able to support GvG’s as people love.

Removing the holy trinity made kitten sure of that.

i just bought 20$ worth of gems and got some rare greatswords to throw into the forge. I managed to get a dusk and as i was putting the other exotics i got back into the forge i put the dusk in by mistake too as i was side tracked at the same time. Is there anyway of getting it back? i have also submitted a support ticket.

It’s clear that quite a lot of you would like to have greater flexibility in using the Currency Exchange. Our intention when we designed the new interface was to streamline large volume purchases, which make up the majority of transactions.

In light of your feedback, we will update the Currency Exchange so that you can decide how you want to use it. We will keep the new streamlined system and also offer a new “Custom” button on the panel that you can use to exchange any increment of gems or gold.

Long after all the other pretenders have shed the bulk of their player base, Guild Wars 2 will still be going strong. I hope you have the brass to come back in a year and see if you were wrong or right.

It’s so easy to make a prediction you can’t back up with no basis in anything but your own dislike. It’s much harder to stand by it long term.

Pretty obvious that the market is getting saturated (that means lesser inflow), with people getting bored of the game because of lackluster updates(WvW for me and many others) people will leave, because of the reduced inflow and increased outflow the population will drop, because the population drops other people will leave because they feel that the game is empty creating more outflow against an even more reduced inflow.

Can you still follow it? or should i write it up even more simplistic?

I didn’t forget anything. But since people are playing and enjoying it and it’s not particularly losing people, saying that only white knights will be populating it is like extrapolating something from nothing.

Even saying it’s in the bargain bin isn’t really true, since it goes on sale and then it’s full price again, just like every other item that goes on sale. I was in EB games last week and it was full price.

But you know, never let the truth hurt someone trying to insult something he doesn’t like.

I was at the gamezone the other day and it was 19,99. Now I do not know much but I do not think that is full price since i paid a lot more for it.

And yes the white knights who love and defend the game will be all that is left after everyone has moved on to other games, thinking this is not true just means that you are one of them.

Yes, it’s populated by no one now. No one is playing this game. No one every complains about lag at events. The funniest bit about comments like this is how transparent they are.

The forums should have a “last logged on” or some other in-game activity meter to filter out the forum-heroes.

Its mainly because the forum has a better storyline, events and PvP experience than the game :P
