The highest dps build possible with 30 in Tactics is about 20% worse (including your own EA buff) than the standard meta build overall. You would be vastly better off stopping at 20 in Tactics if you want to actually contribute more than treading water.

Did i ever said i was building this thing for dpsing purpose? Anyway its possible to run 0 25 15 30 0 as a dire armor condition warrior spamming flurry with a 1h sword and stacking bleed to 25 switching between sword/shield and sword/sword to get that torment in. Youd be surprised at the number of warrior running 1h swords in pvp and pve its just that people loooove to see big number (because a big 32k 4 second greatsword combo looks always more meaningfull then those small little red numbers poping from a 25 stack of bleed) and normaly ignore the very possibility of using condition specs

running tactics warrior is perfectly possible but is more likely to be viable as a condition build then a critical damage build

of course you can always just put 20 in tactics but not going 30 is just not worth it when you got this far in the tree

normaly however if you want tanky with decent critical damage you should combine zerker with valkiry.

For tanking try and have at least 0 0 15 30 0 to gain both adrenaline regen and healing from banners/shout (depend on wich you prefer but i rather use banner as it use only one skill slot and i generaly put the critical damage banner) Tankyest main hand weapon in the game is off course the mace because of the extra block but if you want to run something with heavy toughness/condition damage (because you feel your crit are to low wich will obviously be the case) you should rather go for sword and spam that bleed. the last 25 point are up to you but id rather put them in a condition damage build (arms) if im to use the sword to back up my armor with some damage. If you wanna run condition damage use dire armor because It just happen the arms sword spec increase the bleed duration like holy crazy (especialy from flurry)

Likely best damage/survivability combo would be sword/shield Dire armor monk rune buts its entirely dependant on bleed effect

if they ever make it heal minions and remove the health steal cap ill definitively give it a 4 or a 5 for now ill stick to a 2… it has a lot of potential but its highly unexploited due to its limitation

so to spam big oll bomb and multi grenade toss

again big oll bomb and the goggle can be replaced when team gives a garanteed fury as well so you may use the tool kit instead. Aw so hard to decide wich to use

not fast enough of a recharge on Belt skills to take advantage of the bursts from SD. plus not going down firearms you lose a lot of precision that you then need to make up with in gear. Also, you never want to go full zerk. Thats just free bags/stomps for other players(wvw/pvp).

‘’PVE BUILD’’ but your right this build would outright suck in pvp because its not speced to burst but to have heavy continious damage to apply on mobs wich btway never dodge or move out of zones and somewhat lack a stun breaker/cond removal (dont need one anyway) I was more thinking of applying static discharge to pve purpose here (couldnt care less about how it work in pvp i just want to have an enginer who can pulls decent critical damage dps in pve without behing an all out turret clown) as such wearing full zerk is totaly optimal

I run minion master (always have) 20 0 30 20 0 when i get serious and greatsword warrior when im trolling ;D
but honestly im planning on running phantasm mesmer soon as my second serious alternative

Tbh minion always were meant to attack target at random (starting with the one you hit) The whole point of having a lot of minion is the confusion and havoc it causes by attacking everything at once forcing the mobs to attack minions and disregard players (so was the concept of the aura of the lich minion master doing the tanking for everyone in GW 1). The problem is in GW1 we had like 12 bone minion or more (with all 3 hero behing minion master and spamming aura of the lich death nova + yourself also behing a minion master or spirit spammer you can have like 20+ this made the game prety much of a huge petting zoo especialy with signet of spirit behing used both as a weapon and a meat shield) while here we can only have 7 at best wich is hardly as overwelming as what we had back then. Maybe if they revised reanimator so to make the minion spawned that way appear every 5 second or actualy have no cooldown it would actualy make the minion build into the epic stuff we had in GW 1 while keeping PVP relatively clean of Minion master armies (player dont die as often as pve mobs do so less stuff to use reanimation on)

That meat shield concept has ALWAYS been the trademark of minion master necro and as such it is somewhat normal for pets to die or for MM to do less dps then a real damage spec as their real purpose is to keep the bosses and mobs busy hiting the wrong target. In some way they do this job better then mesmers right now but since their long pet cooldown mesmer has the advantage of behing able to keep poping illusion while the necro is forced into handling his pets to keep them alive. This is totaly against the ‘’fodder builder’’ concept minion master always been the paragon of. If they actualy did MM right we would see a rise in the defensive support necro spec we havent seen since Guild Wars 1 and Necro would finaly be recognised as other stuff then the little guy spamming his condition and curse crap in the corner with his scepter because right now thats prety much what everyone vilify us as, heck the support role could even be cimented as an officialy important roll in dungeon party on the same lvl as glass dps.

The death trait line wasnt choosen as the toughtness line because its meant for the necromancer to tank it was because tanking and dying for the party is the jobs of the sacrificiable pets he can summon at will.

The true purpose of minion and youl call me crazy for saying this as a lot of people who play pets thinks the total reverse is actualy to die defending their masters the best they can and as such minion death is a part of the natural order of things in a MM build so expect your minion to die and quite often, of course you hope they last a while and pull their share.

Gota notice that the rifle is a ranged weapon consume both weapon slot and has next to no defensive ability beside the back smack? A sniping warrior getting focused is in a very bad position so its all fine if they deal heavy damage to punish people who simply ignore them

I already disliked that approach back in WoW were the problem was way more apparent. The solution is not do develop two different games within the the same client but to bring both parts of the game more in line.

likely wont be possible because stuff wich are broken or appear broken in pvp (aka the thousand complaint healing signet im not saying it is but people constantly cry about it) are actualy important buff in pve and that nerfing one always damage the other. The same way introducing new change to pve may ruin the pvp (mesmer healing signet?). Its just an endless wheel of nerf and buff wich most of the time ends up with everyone sucking a little more every patch that gets in (take a look at enginer).

If they separated the pvp skill effect from the pve skill effect some mechanics wich would be to OP to be implimented in pvp could be implimented back in pve aka better hammer damage (Ranger for instance in guild wars 1 was forced to bring charm anymal in pvp to have a pet at all while in pve you only ned heal as one or the mend pet spell to carry your pet in, this would save you a slot wich could be used to deal more damage or make the thing better. Warrior also had that kind of change to his shout and stance while dervish was 10 time more tanky in pve then it was in PVP and paragon could actualy run Paraheal in pve while behing forced to a more active damage roll in pvp)

WvW should just be using the spell effect from pvp for that purpose. They did it to ranger pets HP (25k in pve 14k in WvW) so they certainly could do it to our spells and trait effect

I shouldnt be effraid of my build behing nerfed just because some kid in pvp is sick of getting killed by a warrior who actualy knows how to use his weapon… next thing we know theil nerf axe or 2h sword damage because we hit to hard? Preposterous.

i hope they make it cooldownless ;D so that when we go in wvw and theres tons of people dying around you get to have 20 jagged horror smashing everything they can hit and bleeding everyone ooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhh the zombi apocalips

no seriously make it cooldownless and have it work like aura of the lich in GW 1 procing an army of minion. Minion master deserve this buff and this would likely make them more valuable to groups in pve

tbh reanimator would be epic with a 5 second cooldown or no minion health degen (30 minion army… someone just made a remake of Resident Evil GW2 style run for your life!)
Pets dont deal this much damage and to be honest could use some love. Id easily see a 5 second or endless reanimator as a 25 trait for death magic while theyd put that stupid stat buff at the start of the tree.

Everyone scream at the nerf the moment something wich in pve would be anodine is broken in pvp and gets itself fixed by Anet. What most forgot but some remember is that in guild wars 1 class skills had defrent effect in pve then they had in pvp.

Why would Arena net simply not give two separate effect for every trait and skill in gw2 instead of constantly nerfing stuff in pve because it was to strong in pvp that way we could have——

Better minion master and beast master in pve with actualy real damage (pet damage was reduced by 50% because it was sick in pvp.. why did you had to do it in pve as well to begin with???)

Turret enginer that doesnt suck (enginer turrets builds have been destroyed and remade so many time its close to unplayable nowaday)

Other variety of warrior running around something else then the dumb greatsword build (lets be honest we all run GS or Axe because they are the only actual viable build at the moment but id realy like to see full bow, rifle, sword shield, mace warrior around too but if they increase those weapon damage or speed to make people more interested into them i bet GS wouldnt be as much used anymore)

Elementalist who actualy single school spec (arcane is the only things people play)

Mesmer who actualy play something else then shatter (break break break)

And everyone in the darn pvp would stop constantly QQing because you could nerf or buff up anything with impunity without ruining the whole game. What do you think of it?

dual rifle (dual because played with 2 rune of battle) is prety much the only way to effectively play sniper warrior and benefit from might the same way the greatsword does. You need 0 0 0 0 30 at least to even play it because of burst damage/cd reduction and might on swap
It can realy pack a punch when left alone but i wont use it else then in pve or in wvw pvp where targets are just sitting ducks XD

as of if i will use it? yes of course…. (ignore the 10 point trait choice its supose to be crack shot it just happen to be that calculators arent updated yet)

Kill shot isnt OP mainly because its the principal damage feature of rifle warrior. Its a sniping skill… as such its normal it does SNIPER level damage wich means a lot. Kill shot likely is the highest damage single strike skill in the game for that very reason.

I run dual rifle warrior (battle rune) 4 might swap and i can tell those numbers are 100% real yet the whole problem of the build is that unless you got a sitting duck you wont do these damage, In pve its 100% viable but you need an actual team in front of you distracting the mobs while you shoot them…
15 25 0 0 30 or 0 25 15 0 30
the whole point is that the target has to be availlable for the snipes (sitting ducks in the courtyards). WvW castle D and PVE provide those targets quite easily so rifle warrior will enjoy it. Killshot also is a 3 second casting time spell wich is somewhat obvious, unless your running away or your your just totaly daydreaming its nearly impossible you wont be noticing the warrior is preparing to killshot you (if i ever run rifle build in pvp i need to use my bola to keep my target from moving away)

3 good choice for this. 1 charr for the team elite 2 asura for the golem elite (golem suit doesnt destroy turret and heals like crazy while behing ultra tanky wich means you can have all your turret up and buffing you meanwhile but you might consider the golem summon for a free extra damage or tanking effect i like to alternate between both) I dont realy like the human hound of baltazar setup and sylvaris tower defence just look outright dumb with the build norn wolf form actualy could be fun with turret way.

i think arena net is actualy hammering down the condimancer so to push necro back to minion master wich they likely feel underused. Necro is about multi stacking pets. Altrought curse are cute necro has a lot of other spec.
I for myself am pleased with the upgrade to reanimator altrought i wish they reduced it to 5 second cooldown instead (minion army eheheheeh)

Hes right trought one should be aiming to play what hes confortable playing as while striving to keep its effectiveness to maximum. Theres a just middle between playing the wiki build just behing a clone amonst a thousand of boring player having no fun farming their daily gold and playing a totaly custom build for fun alone wich might in the end be somewhat unefective, try and get the middle between both. I remember players screaming to outrage when a ranger used touch build for the first time in GW1 well it just happen touch ranger always been a favorite of ‘’joking around’’ player in pvp because it was both anoying and effective. Creativity is largely under rated in gw2 elitist sphere of the game. In any case Skills in a dungeon isnt determined by the build but by the player itself. Doesnt mather how much dps you can pull if you cant use the build correctly (wich is the case of the majority of warriors i see using zerker way or immitating it).

Make it happen, worry about your build after.

wich is the case for a good 95% of the party youl find. Most people dont go in organised team they neither have the time to waste or the energy to spend in order to form a full organised team, you will see these mainly in guild teams wich ill remind you isnt the case of every guild. Im in a WVW guild on crystal desert and i can tell you that basicaly the few guys i know that does fractals arent even high enought in their rating to compete. Pugs is the effective methods to anyone who wanna do his/her daily quickly and in pugs you cant afford to be picky selecting the team members one by one. this often ends up with a very cheap composition wich doesnt match at all and that you have to mend up on your own because if you dont play teamwise rather then by yourself you will just end up rage quiting before the end or spending 3 hour in the fractals of the mist because your to much of an individualist who dont care at all for the team. What makes the wins in fractals pug is not raw DPS but the good will to help each other out because as you said you WONT be able to pull off that massive dps of yours there anyway.

easyest is phase 3 outright mainly because thats the part hes the most easy to dodge but eh thats your preferance. we always burn to reach phase 3 as quickly as possible

again your suppositions. You probably don’t know that if you die in some particular range at lupi if someone come to ress you lupi will dome you both or barrage on your heads.

its the duty of everyone to lend a aid to downed players else just what kind of teamate you are? If i cant reach it from a melee range ill use my banner and if i cant use my banner ill rush in and use defy pain to take the hits while i try to rez him and yea i do know lupi lovely habits to finish off his targets as well as the other people who try to revive the so called target

Beside isnt dome part 3? I recall people normaly dont die at this part. Part 2 is what makes the downs

You are missing the point, you can do MORE dps even with dying than your build.

I rather trade the damage for survivability altrought i do guess i could stay alive even as a full damage spec im not the kind of person who takes chance (i like the idea of behing hard to kill better then dealing big numbers). Ill have to personnaly attempt solo lupi some day for fun but im to busy lvling alts and massing gold right now to bother. Even then congratulation you proved its possible while about 90% of the in game population cant do it and likely never will be able to do so (there is a limit to what players can do and some just wont manage to run a full dps build without constantly getting hits aka most of the people I know who arent outright from Asia) I rather make sure these guys i caugh in a cereal box to run arah makes it trought because in a normal party you wont be soloing the boss… if you soloing it its either because you had very bad luck trying to rez everyone else (or that the boss made it impossible for you to do so) or its because you a selfish guy who dont cares about the party well behing and will rather pop his dps rotation then move to the closest ally and bandage him back up. Point of a support is not to solo its to keep everyone else alive and well.

I wont rush my damage if i see someone downed ill rush to his aid and heal him back up even if hes at the other edge of the field

Ill not pretend lupy cant be soloed with meta if you actualy ignore everyone else whos dead on the ground just make sure you dont fail it because either you live a hero either you die a looser because you didnt manage to solo him and wasted everyone time. Lupi on phase 3 is easy to dodge its about getting trought phase 2 unscarred wich most people have a serious problem doing.

Anyone who knows lupicus enought can solo him in phase 3 and even stay alive in phase 2 for a while. I dont disaprove your ideal of running full damage ive ran it before and had no problem with it (ran 30 25 0 0 15 when my war reached 80 september 2012) I prefer to lower my damage however in order to stay alive longuer for those rare time i take a hit because id rather be near unkillable and have average damage then deals insane damage and fall from time to time at a crucial moment. At this point its a choice of way to play.

well as i recall lupi will prety much 1 shot any class in zerker gear cept people with top health or toughtness (last time i tried glass cannon against him was on thief). ive not personnaly tryed lupicus in a full dps gear on warrior because guild was concentrating on getting the stuff done rather then doing a ’’ACE’’ run and as such we had speced not to have our back handled over by lupicus in the middle of the fight due to some guy falling.

Even if lupi wont one shot you healing signet alone doesnt provide enought healing to allow you to get a heavy hit this often.

Can you pretend lupi will not 1 shot you if he hit you. Your build leave little margin for mistakes and you dont have an endless amount of dodges maily because as you said you use axe you have at least 1 less block you can use. Now if you aint even using a shield you cant even use the 3 second block. What now you will be living on borrowed time with defy pain?

Again with the glorification of the damage. Seriously if everything in this game was about damage half the builds would be rejected from the moment youd get into the fractals. It aint the case. Behing the last man standing also holds some meaning when it comes to party survival because the ’’tanky’’ guy will always be the one to revive the glass cannons who constantly dies of aoe they wont dodge in time.

i can assure you that going full dps its kind of unlikely youl be that ‘’last standing’’ guy and that its kind of unlikely a thief with refuge will save your party should i get close to wiping mainly because you wont pick one.

You clearly aren’t in Fractals 40+. If you were, you’d know that DPS is absolutely king. Why? Because mobs in 40+ hit ridiculously hard no matter what build or what gear you’re using. The trick is to kill them fast. So please don’t lecture me (or anyone else, for that matter) on Fractals when you’re clearly an inexperienced Fractal runner.

If you’re dying regularly using 30/25/0/0/15 + Healing Signet, then the problem isn’t the build, it’s the player.

Arena net isnt a fan of glass cannon and youl likely see a lot of new encounter and fix made for the sole purpose of making them feel uncomfortable in the future. btway going full dps isnt the only way to play warrior and 30 25 0 0 15 is prety much only viable with great sword.
I run 0 25 15 30 0 and the healing banners actualy does a perfect job not to mention how easy it is to switch gear and trait for about any single weapon in the game. Id advise you not to run glass cannon great sword in fractals if you actualy hate armor repairs because you gunna spend a lot of time at the little broken red shield if you run that.
A good credo for fractal should be to balance your stat and gear in order to be optimal in every situation because no you wont always be on the DPS seat in fractals of the mist.
Just dont forget to bring in the critical damage banner

Now now i dont know about you but i like to have tri-regen on my warrior. Couple that with enought damage to outclass anything but a full damage warrior and youl be fine in Fotm

wichever build you use you always need at least 0 20 0 0 0 to be able to use greatsword effectively when necesary.

You simply have no idea what you’re talking about.

I actualy do have an exelent idea of what im talking about.
