BM: I want to present you my lovely jingle bear mia
If pet had voices: Mommy, I did it! :3
They are really pushing the venom build.
Venemous aura has a radius of 360. So people basically have to be standing next to you for it to work.
How many thieves are durable enough to stand in the front line with their tougher team mates.
It’s so bad on so many levels. Venoms are so poorly designed.
Venemous aura should have a 1200 radius, prioritising your teammates. 360 is just too small for it to be vaguely useful.
The time they are that durable is when they spam death blossom… this sounds like we gunna have a remake of the condithief in the venom style
doesnt critical damage has no effect on phantasm damage?
are you sure by refreshing the skill recharge they aint meaning this recharge the phantasm Attack skill and allow them all to perform their attack the moment you healed? (doesnt look like it but this would highly benefit fantasm build either way)
as for the 780 healing im kind of like… wtf? if mesmer has this much self healing we gunna have a remake of the ranger 1k heal per second regeneration from open beta.
worse yet phantasm build provide regeneration and you even got a darn damage shield coupled with that if you took the utility spell. Phantasm healing each other the resulting build is gunna be utherly nasty in pve and pvp.
Ill just run illusionnary zerker gunner or the deflecting focus one coupled with the illusionnary defender at all time to troll out the party regen and give party wide armor while laughing my back off standing behind and watching the boss dies while i regen for like 1k per second in the backyard. This awfull signet is gunna make phantasm mesmer this more disgusting in pvp. I guess they wanted to revalue phantasm over shatter here because mesmer hardly ever keep their illusions up for long and arena net likely want us to use illusions as decoy and not explosive bombs.
either way welcome to Mesmer Wars 2 now i need to go finish lvling my lvl 75 mesmer to 80
(edited by kyubi.3620)
I cant realy test the damage right now but i was wondering if a thief spamming death blossom with a venom transfer build would actualy do some serious dps while healing the team and stacking might. build would be 30 0 30 0 10 and would be entirely based on abusing the venom/mass bleed the thief can actualy proc
it also heals people around it and will likely have the fifth venom from december 10 stacking the might to 10 and healing the whole team like crazies i like the idea of the supportive yet damage dealing thief wich still pulls out its dps any thought on it?
Death blossom was highly overlooked in pvp mainly because of the fact it over relied on a single condition wich was easily cleased. What about it pve wise but in a more supportive context?
did they ever plan to make damage increase to pets depending on player stats someday?
We will never get true scaling with pets. The one thing that quite a few of us are hoping for is that they’ll either flat buff all minions in PvE to comply with the new Ascended tier, because as they are now they are “tuned” to Exotic.
Pure scaling would make minions ungodly powerful, so like Bawb said we’ll probably get a flat increase to bring them up to ascended. I wouldn’t mind seeing a wow style set up where weapon damage affected minion damage through scaling, this would people running ascended would have their minions doing ascended damage, instead of giving everyone a big quality of life bonus. I think that would make the other classes upset. =P
Upset at what? the darn warrior does damage over the chart and the mesmer does the bait role twice as better as we do because their illusions and phantasm cooldown are near endless. Serious pet user deserve this buff
You know the funny thing however? next patch we get to have order of the vampire wich will make all minion hit 100 to 200 more damage pet hit. im not so sure anymore ill use blood fiend after this even as MM
(edited by kyubi.3620)
Well i dont Wvw to begin with so i dont care but as far as i know necro in Spvp is actualy prety OP. even the DS spec is a danger and long as you have some backup near you you can easily take on a squad and take them down within second.
cept the spike that thing down can get in and out at will and heal between phase :/ i just go out of death shroud to heal then i jump back in after throwing my focus scythe
BEAAAAAAAAASTIALITY!…
nah but moose would still be interesting im however looking forward to more exotic stuff like white tiger and pheonix coming back in.
KeyOrion 1 you just resumed all i tought of their so called dps rules. As for tanks in guild wars 1 clearly youve not seen my jingle bear solo tank high end boss like if they where jokes (you do know pets can have up to +6 regen a bonus of +32 damage reduction heavy attack speed as well as endess ressurection? Who needs some silly warrior/derv in these cases to take on a heavy damage boss.) Pets altrought buggy should always be considered a part of the ranger damage equation unlike what some fools around here belive. when you say you do 2k auto attack you dont say you do 2k auto you say you do 3k auto (if the pet is untraited) or 4k auto (if pet is traited) without might!
My base total damage per second while auto attacking is easily at 5k and way above when i got some might (wich i do quite often) go tell that to those dumb wars who fancy doing a 5k crit with their auto attack when stacked with might are forced to melee range and think that because they swing theyre sword over 3 or around seconds doing 35k they are doing insane dps (laugh) for all the time they waste out of boss range when low health to recover they arent doing any more dps then i would without any might stack to begin with. Top total damage ive done within 3 second on my ranger reached 20k+ (pet 2x 3k auto attack +1x 6k bite critical + rapid fire damage) and i didnt had a banner of discipline out to pull my personnal damage up. Melee weapon are over rated because some korean did the mat that in a PERFECTLY controlled situation you could do crits over the charts, well of course but how many time you think those opportunity for full damage happens… you guessed it, rarely! You need a perfect composition with very specific party build and a full team coordination wich by the way you will somewhat never have in a pug (Not to mention that boss have varying armor level). Even then most of the smart warrior WONT spec for pure dps because they also have to think about their health and armor level. The problem is not the ranger behing under rated its the glass noob behing over rated even if practicaly 95% of the warrior population will not use a glass cannon build and will keep their dps to themselve (my warrior in full ascended deals less then 18k on hundred blade without might and im not ashamed of it because I both do exelent damage and im not as likely to die as those dorks who spec full damage, so why when people look at ranger they all think we do 2k less dps per second?)
Now guardian might be a defrent thing when they heal a lot but meleeing force even them to sometime back out of battle while i can keep up my 4k+ all the time.
may i ask why the build use critical damage if technicaly the phantasm dont benefits from it?
Actually, anet should compare GW1 Dervish with GW 2 guardian, if half the skill of the dervish from gw 1 to get it on the guardian it would be a tanky class
we need those crazy scythe dancers back for the sake of having 1000 regen per second and hiting like if hell got loose (warrior would finaly have a contestant on hundred blade damage heheheh)
likely those guys where using 30 20 0 0 30 wich btway is prety much the maximum DPS spec (altrought 30 25 0 0 25 also might do it) Doing 35 with HB is cool but it makes the warrior so glassy nearly anything can kill it. A full damaging warrior like that wont stay alive long in most end game dungeon but again i might be totaly wrong. I just think having at least 0 0 15 0 0 is important in order to keep minimum survivability standards
actualy… his build look like my rifle build cept mine is based on weapon to stack might and do heavy critical damage. Again it depends on your definition of selfish i find that having 5 hundred blade warriors all using the same spec is kind of dull. I for myself use critical damage banners in order to keep up my dps high as well as my self heal. 16k crit hundred blades are more then potable. Long as you do more damage then the other class whats the harm in doing something slightly defrent wich will help the party in other way? Banners are way underused these days
(edited by kyubi.3620)
Altrought the topic starts kind of sounded like a QQ ill make a constructive answer
Altrought warrior self healing is somewhat off the chart its prety much 100% based on healing over time. Dot the warrior with poison and you just made him unable to heal at all. Warrior condition removal also is awfull therefore making anyone able to use condition prety much their direct counter. Altrought i do apreciate the number of hit point the healing signet grant from regeneration poisons makes it way to easy to counter and in pvp if i see any sign of a necro presence my first move is to switch it quickly to something else. For these reason healing signet doesnt need a nerf. The issue isnt actualy healing signet but the ability of the warrior to pull both great regenerative prowess and damage at the same time. Maybe if they forced HS into an actual tactic traits wich improve the healing from healing signet (like for the guardian healing virtue)
(edited by kyubi.3620)
are they commenting the guy video or excalibur speech?
did they ever plan to make damage increase to pets depending on player stats someday?
shelter heal 75 (as far as i remember without healing power its about 5k)
Littany of wrath heal 80 (about 5k but will likely reach 8k+ with the meditation bonus)
considering this is an instant cast likely usable even when knocked down or stunned with a cooldown of 30 (downable to 25) and with a healing increase of 2k+ from a trait (makes this thing heal somewhat close to the signet of mercy) can you explain me how in hell litany of wrath by its very base wont be a healing machine spell? In all due respect as long as a player is fully traited to medit it will be superior to shelter and signet in all way save for the 3 second invulnerablity wich i tbh couldnt care less about save for pvp when i try not to die from a zerg in order to buy time. This healing spell will just be to awesome for pve dungeons. Altrought i guess this doesnt encourage new guardians to spec for shouts or consecrations. less of all support.
(edited by kyubi.3620)
cats does bleed but please dont underestimate its actual physical damage either. traited for critical hits the cat realy can pack a punch.
30 second that moves to 25 when traited gives fury for 4 second and adds an additionnal 2k+ heal to the boot? You kidding me this spell is downright the best meditation build heal ever, i want that on my GS guardian.
30s? kitten it. I’d have killed for a slightly weaker version on a 20s or 25s timer.
what you dont realise is with the -20% cooldown in meditation this thing is likely to have about 25 second CD.. worse yet its a meditation so it will ALSO provide the healing from the 30 PT healing meditation trait. I think my 40 second healing signet is good for garbage now (laugh)
chain stunning fools in pvp to their doom with bullcharge fellowed by stomp/ hammer burst / hammer chain has always been my favorite. i dont ever recall bullcharge actualy bugging. as for movement well i guess its a very good way to travel far and fast when teamed up with a sword main hand on offset and a shield off hand
welll the flesh golem might be mentaly weakened but its KD is just priceless. in comparison with the other elites its just the cream of the crop
Your wiki is likely outdated and someone will need to redo the page (minion indeed used not to gain anything from power but that changed later trought the year same goes for pets and turrets). Check your minion spell damage with and without a power equipment if you dont believe me because minions DO gain power. As for vampiric master its only life siphon there wich i recall is related to healing power.
I believe it has ben confirmed they do not scale with stats, and the scaling you see is based on a tool tip error where the tool tip wants to factor in your stats, even if it doesn’t actually do so. (Pretty sure a dev had said that)
Well thats sad… at this point however its of little consequance as the pet damage scaling wont affect the overall damage of the spec this much. altrought i guess having the equivalent of 25 stack of might in power transfered to my pet damage would be kind of insane. Is this true only for necromancer or does ranger and enginer also suffer from that tooltip mistake? I recall pet ability damage increasing with power and the tooltip of turret damage as well
(edited by kyubi.3620)

Even if i was lying your flesh golem doing roughtly 1500s damage and your other minions stacking around 600 to 800 is actualy a serious threat when it comes from damage the necromancer maintain even in death shroud. (i used to run wells between DS time but wells dont moves on their own to the targets, even if they can do criticals they basicaly remain stationnary and takes time to channel while pets are maintained even in DS and keeps doing their hits)
(edited by kyubi.3620)
I came up with a somewhat very nasty build idea last night as i felt inspired (i play 2 necro one is a soul reaping speced charr the other is a minion master asura). Minions give life force when they die and the ghosts gives a good 10% life force on its activation? Is it just me or i can spell ‘’Deeeeeeeeath shroud mode’’ there
it just happen both the soul reaping speciality AND the minion master speciality have 1 one line common the power line. so my subjestion is to forget the blood magic line and trait it this way
20 spite 0 malediction 20 death magic 0 blood magic 30 soul reaping.
gear complete valkiry (full crit damage vitality and power) You dont need precision because pets gains stats only from power and you personnaly will always go in death shroud to do your personnal dps.
trait: In spite trait yourself to have 30% increased minion damage and might on hit when using life blast
death magic: trait yourself in order to have +50% to minion total health then you may consider choosing the + 400 toughness on channel (making minions and casting lifeblast your somewhat constantly channeling) or choosing a defrent trait
Soul reaping: trait yourself for the slow down on life force loss by 50% and the + 50% critical strike when in death shroud (the third is up to you but i like the idea of the piercing life blast bolts). You now officialy have a killing machine phys damage necro which stacks might on hit score 4k+ on auto ranged attacks and has a good 2k+ average pet dps (this increase further as you stack might!) wich tanks give life force dies divert and control. Best of both world?
The weapon you use has little relevance but axe/focus / staff makes for wonderfull idea (mainly you dont do damage from your weapon but from death shroud/pet and those 3 weapon all stack life force like crazies)
(edited by kyubi.3620)
Melee is highly over rated. You cant just stack anywhere not to mention when badly hit in a boss fight you have to constantly back off wich result in a loss of dps. The one true adventage of ranged weapon is its ability to keep dealing damage even at a distance from the boss. I see a lot of realy cute 2h sword guardians who switch to staff or 2h sword warriors who switch to rifle the moment they get hit… what do you think is their dps then? Id also like to point out that despîte the fact that the ranger damage with longbow hardly break the 10k critial chain it still is about the same damage as a great sword guardian not to mention the pet itself in the recipies. When arena net is done fixing the ‘’stack on boss’’ problem its likely ranged weapon will get a serious revalorisation so dont keep your shortbow/axe/longbow to far.
thats what i meant with energy draining build you know
hey Dahkeus dont worry to much about it as it is right now you only need about 50 agony resistance or less to do max fractal level. Ascended gear was created to be used for fractals of the mist to begin with. Youl still be considered as a primed character even with only the rings the weapon the trinkets, the amulet and the bag. As for where armor stands for its great to have new improved stats however dungeons were designed for character in green equipment and unless you plan to do fractals lvl 50 everyday you wont need those armor just yet. Im far from concerned about the new ascended armor creation this is just another pastime for those crazies who waste time making several legendaries at the same time.
Legendaries is for crazies who want to waste 5000 gold for a bows that shoots unicorn. I believe 1 year or later well be able to buy a pre for 200 gold at top because they will become 5 time more accessible from specific events or boss drops or just from the laurel system. Focus your time in ascended gear and leave legendaries to daydreamer i say at least you get to keep some form of realistic gear.
As for where pugs stands, i check their dungeon master title way before i check their agony resiliance. Long as there are clowns and jugglers no pugs will ever be safe from failure even with a full ascended gear set
your signature sums up how much your opinion should be trusted.
Legendaries aren’t for day dreamers they are for people who want them.
I’ve never seen anything suggesting that dungeons where meant to be done in greens, if so why do they award exotic? I understand that you can do them in greens to receive exotics, however, what about the people who would continue to do them after exotics have been obtained? The dungeon would be far too easy at that point, well they are far too easy but still I don’t feel as though they where created with the thought that most of the people running them would be using greens.
Dungeons were created to be accessible to nearly everyone else wed see kittens everywhere asking how much dps you can do or writing zerk warrior only. Guild Wars 2 (unlike some other MMO wich i will not name not to do blasphematory words on this forum) doesnt have high gear grind requirement/heavy experiance to its explorable dungeon and can be done even with the most ordinary gear. Thats what i like about this game because some full ascended parvenu who just got lucky on the drop will never have a priority place in a dungeon team just because he has a Twilight. Let it be clear dungeons where made to be accessible by anyone with prety much any gear.
guess you got several legendaries if you are so fierce about it? I only got 2 pre i dont even plan on evolving and aquired as random loot (frostfang, The legend) or so to say i got them. Arena net definition of legendaries seems to circle around the word ridiculus save for its edged weapon (cant we have a remake of the stormbow instead of a unicorns i liked lightning styled weapon such as voltaic spear a lot in GW 1)
(edited by kyubi.3620)
are you sure you aint having a bug of some sort i dont recall splitblade ever canceling and i know i use it quite a lot
Oh i might consider the might on pet swapping trait instead of compasion training. beside of that ill sure enjoy the bonus damage to longbow a lot
If you mean the Vision of regret becoming the main in domination control or energy drain build that litteraly killed people ill just answer mesmer was always the dev team favorite.
While i do agree interupt rangers in pvp where actualy usefull to keep the monkey shut down they werent much of a damaging build to actualy do REAL damage mainly because it was condition based. As rangers you had to run beast mastery or a defrent class weapon (aka ranger daggers and scythe) to deal true numbers. However in guild wars 2 most of the interupts are gone and bow rangers can no longuer spec a whole skill bar into interupt spells
what about these new spells they talked about. maybe if they gave some actual pet striking skill like in GW 1?… ah i miss brutal strike sweet sweet 180 spammable damage.
Use a range weapon youl need to roll less.
Better:
Perfect world internationnal archer: so kitten broken it kills all the other class in pvp and manage to outank anyone even at the shortest range
Worse: Everquest 1
as far as it goes dont underestimate ranged weapon just yet. If you cant take the heat of dodging like a no lifing Korean while keeping attacking you better just use a shortbow axe or longbow. Melee is good but its only as good as the time you can keep attacking before you take such a heavy hit you have to pull back out. If you realy cant afford to take hits (zerker geared) for the love of the 6 do use a ranged weapon
GW 1 rangers? you mean the toucher or the scythe spammers? Most rangers in GW 1 didnt even use bow in the first place. I for myself was using spear shield with a beast mastery build (gota love seeing my bear tank duncan).
Altrought i do disaprove of longbow signet rangers ranged weapon should not be dismissed as bad from the start just because they deal less damage then melee weapons. Longbow pushback makes for an exelent interupt when necesary, barrage actualy deals a fair amount of damage on multitarget not to mention the mass criple and hunter shot stealth actualy serve some purpose when redirecting the agro away. Id say longbow is a weapon for a ranger who want to live a ’’long’’ life rather then get 1 hit KOed from behing stuck in the 1h sword auto attack combo at the wrong moment.
Altrought i do agree damage is important staying alive to do the so called damage is also important. Melee range is the most dangerous area for a leather armor character with little toughness. Before saying longbow actualy deals bad damage maybe we should actualy compare the weapon with enginer rifle/pistol or thief shortbow/pistol damage. Damage isnt the strong suit of ranged weapon, their main advantage is litteraly their ’’range’’ wich allow the character to stay out of most harmfull effect reach and keep shooting effectively increasing the character rate of general survivability. If ranged weapon did do as much damage as the melee weaponry wed see rifle warriors and pistol thief everywhere.
The second point id like to have you keep in mind is that ranged character can continously attack their target without having to back off to heal or kite away. While a 2h sword warriors deals tremendous damage it will have to spend half of its time dodging melee blows and pulling in/out of combat and as such this will highly affect the total damage youve done in the fight. I point out those various boss wich force the party to keep a long range fight such as lupicus or are just ultimately highly melee unfriendly such as the ghost alternates bosses in AC. Ranger wont have to constantly back off to keep shooting and will have continuous dps on them. Altrought i admit a necromancer can pull off extreme damage from ranged attack in death shroud necromancers are forced to a 600 range to actualy do their maximum dps (life blast damage greatly reduce when higher then 600) and still as such should be considered melee characters.
At this point I will not deny some guys are this good at dodging or evading at the right time they can keep their melee chain up and still avoid everything but most melee i know spend more time running around or healing themselves then damaging the boss therefore wasting prety much all this lovely dps they have. Can you seriously look down on ranged weapon user yet totaly ignore melee fighters who dont do their job adequatly?
(edited by kyubi.3620)
Watch those prices soar!
Edit: Oops, I’m actually happy it finally came out. Not that I’m in a rush, I don’t even have one weapon craft up to 500, ~480 should be the closest.
wich one (the price) Im just glad i finaly get to have a serious reason to lvl an armorcraft

i admit that paying 800 gold + for twilight pre is kind of absurd
what about making some use of those laurels and offer precursor for 100 laurels each? so that people actualy start getting serious about their daily and monthly
if they werent before that is. lot of people thinks laurels are for buying dyes in loads

you forgot the bacon
what of cantha and elona?
Various site held or propagated information about the current state of affairs in cantha and elona.
While the elder dragons are mainly the concern of Tyria i feel Cantha and Elona shouldnt be kept out of the idea for future expensions and stuff of the like.
GW1 added new class with every expension pack (save for eye of the north wich added a lot of title based skill wich still in some way is like new classes) what about adding new race such as the Canthian Tengu and the Elonian centaur? We can see Zaishen in lion arch and there is even a mention of Elhona and Cantha in the human personnal story, not to mention that whole area populated by tengu wich is so far unavaillable.
There was a lot of talk around when sylvaris was still in developement lab that the Tengu might be a playable race. Why stop to Tyria alone? The elder dragons do not only menace Tyria but the entire world and we havent heard of Jormag Primordius or Krakaltoric in ages not to mention the other one still lurking across the waves. So far all new content concentrates on pirates and old faction wars. While i do apreciate the recycling of the nightmare court in the toxic alliance (of wich the story wasnt finished because Faolain is still on the run…) I wonder when we will actualy get to explore the crystal desert, the northern shiverpeak and run after the other elder dragons. It has been a year now im hunry for more dragon slaying and maybe a continuation to the personnal story. It was mentionned somewhere that Palawai Joko enslaved Elhona so will we actualy ever get to embark again on a journey to the land of the golden sun?
dropped the personnal story idea? I think that as long as a character has progressed far enought as to be in lion arch personnal story can be rebuilt. otherwise why not simply reset the personnal story upon race change
what we need,,, is a favorably reworked master bond in order to keep the stack of stat longuer on the pet or a return of the signet of the beastmaster Open beta day 1 regeneration wich arena net nerfed shortly after because it was to strong (you used to be able to out-tank damage with the signet alone and im not talking about having a regeneration buff stacked with it.)
as for the kiting ill remind you longbow gives increased movement speed wich stacks with ‘’sic em’’ and likely turn your pet into Sonic the hedgehog. Longbow is an exelent tool to beast mastery especialy because of barrage lovely abillity to multi hit
Other option would be to double the stat gain from beast mastery trait point for the pet or at least give it the ability to gain critical damage bonus from the master. As it is right now the only thing that realy hold pet classes from behing exelent DPS is the fact that their pet does not gain bonus damage from critical strike. How about you redo the +30% critical damage on crit skirmish trait and replace it with (your pet now gains your value of critical damage) so to make critical damage ranger a viable build.
(edited by kyubi.3620)
Ranger hate has a few reasons in GW2.
1. Most people know nothing about ranger.
2. A LOT of people play ranger, cuz it’s cool. This means there are a lot of bad ranger players, because a lot of players also means a lot of bad players.
3. It’s fun to make jokes about ranger, and some people don’t realize they are mostly jokes. With that said, I believe ranger pets are where the main issues reside. All balancing for ranger seems to be based on the assumption that a rangers pet will be alive, and will hit every attack. As we all know, rangers pets are notorious for missing attacks, dying quickly, and generally just being kitten y, since we don’t have a precise degree of control over them. We can’t even choose when to use 3 of their 4 skills!
So until some pet changes happen, or they give us back that amazing shortbow speed at launch… and 1200 range again…. ranger will still be the point of every joke, and the last invited to parties and dungeons.
I only use pets for whatever buff I want and protect me to pull damage off me. Rangers shouldn’t rely on their pet to be a source of dps.
Wrong please dont put all the pets in the same bag, a cat with 30 in beast mastery has 300 to every of its stat and can tank the hits quite well. The bear just wont die if you actualy care a little for him. Of course your pet will hit like crap if you didnt spec into him in the first place. Truth be told Beastmastery isnt as bad as people want to believe it is and can actualy be runned quite fine but require some extra attention on the pet. I would definitively approve a boost to the master bond trait however. Maybe no more removal from pet swap?
It is nice to see some people here actualy defend the well behing of the pets. Master bond do deserve some reworking. Technicaly the buff should be active as long as the ranger itself doesnt die. this would solve the issue of pet swapping going underwater and pet death by 1 hit KO boss such as lupi or worse yet… alpha.
How about if buffs were shared amonst pets so to keep the buff until one of them dies? this would justify pet swapping and force the player to be considerate of what they do with their pet… and im not just saying this for Master bond but also for might stacks and any lovely buff such as Rampage as one the pet just lost because the kitten able boss spammed a nuke that the pet obviously cannot dodge (exemple: Alpha)
Give love to our pets! We who work hard to keep them alive from those nasty red circles using all our effective control to pull them out or make them dodge deserve consideration! (i dont ask to have a jingle bear that can solo tank Duncan the black but i still want my Jaguard to be able to take on some aoe or at least keep its current dps when i have to swap it in the middle of a battle
This is not about your own damage there its about the pet damage itself… i could care little if my auto attack (wich i barely use) do 1k less then most ranger because i deal twice the amount from my pet with a safe range (wich in the end resolve to the same thing as you sword spammers). You can glorify your chain sword critical all you want you not likely to stack might as high with that weapon as you are to do with an axe or a bow. I didnt pick those weapon for the damage they do I picked them for the multihits per second in order to abuse might on crit and have my jag in the background score the real hits, running ‘’sick em’’ ‘’signet of the beastmaster’’ ‘’signet of the hunter’’ rampage makes the pet into a serious killing machine. I think the highest crit my Jag scored was a 8k on a bite, i know it aint this enormous in comparison to the warriors HB spamming but considering the low damage overall ratio that ranger possess even with melee weapon its actualy quite high for a single hit. I dont play this build because its ‘’like to play’’ i play it because its effective durable and actualy practical not to mention ive took several hours of my time testing it over and over again both in pvp on dummies and in pve zones and it gives exelent results.
(edited by kyubi.3620)
Get it some level if your so scared of it dying i hadnt had that problem yet. If you dont trait some point in beast mastery how can you even expect your pet to stay alive to begin with? I run leopard in fractals and know what it stays alive tank the hits and go for the kills. As Ariete said what makes the defrence between a good and a bad ranger is also the ability to use and manage pet effectively. You see the red circle of doom right under the boss feet dont be a fool move your pet out or switch it in order to make it dodge the blow.
If pet where tankyer then this id be soloing lupicus having my bear hit him the same way i was solo tanking Duncan the black in slaver exile in guild wars 1 using a big Jingle bear. Pets are like player they live they deal damage and they die… as such manage yours like youd manage yourself
