Whoa whoa whoa. SoR complaining about transfers to other servers but not their own? Please stop the accusations! Everyone knows that the transfers to JQ and BG are all bandwagoners but those to SoR are “building the server right”. You can’t even compare.

Besides, SoR never buys guilds like other servers. That gold that was put together to help their new servermates transfer? Those were just “donations”. Completely different thing!

As someone from SoR said a few weeks back,

SoS guilds to SoR -> True WvW guilds of SoS

If you ask any sensible SoR member, everyone will agree that we have gotten transfers, and we’re quite thankful for it. All of our friends in TSYM, AFS, HIRE and so on (I can’t recall everyone off the top of my head, I’m sorry! ) are valued members of our community and WvW strategy. I think the idea of bandwagoning simply comes from the volume of transfers; when SoS disbanded, Blackgate got what was perceived to be a much larger influx of guilds than SoR, hence the “stacking” accusations and whatnot. You cannot deny that your WvW capacity spiked as a result. Similarly with Kaineng, Blackgate received multiple guilds in one go, while SoR has received a number of guilds over the last few weeks in a more spread out manner. The difference is simply whether your WvW population increases in spikes, or incrementally.

As far as SoR donating gold: I listen in to our weekly WvW strategy meetings on TS, and the one thing that gets repeated and stressed every week is that we will not offer gold to other guilds. Should they choose to come over, we will be glad to run dungeons and help other guilds farm for gold, and I’m pretty sure we would also have folks who simply donated gold. However, I think that on principle, this is different from “buying” guilds. I’m sure we can accommodate transferring the last remaining members or whatnot, but we wouldn’t simply say “we’ll give you X gold to transfer,” nor would we meet demands of that nature. Our belief is that you should come to SoR because you want to be here, and if you aren’t willing to put in the time (to acquire gold) to immigrate over, then I’m not so sure how strong your commitment is.

BG -> 2 Major guilds (MERC, ND) and AoI (a combination of small guids)
SoR -> 2 Major guilds (TSym, AFS) and OCX (PvX guild)

So what difference does it make ??

And in the same way that you say that you help other guilds transferring by running dungeons to help some members to come, every other server does the same as well. So basically, BG has done nothing different from the almighty SoR and yet they have to take kitten from your forum warriors week after week. KN choosing us was totally from their side and it would probably have to do with the excellent relations BG had with TC & KN. I wasn’t there when SoR was T2 but if this is the way SoR used to deal with the match threads and PR, are you honestly surprised that KN chose us ?? And in the rare event that BG implodes, do you think any of us would ever consider going to your server because of all this ?? Same with the KN guilds, think about it.

BG got ND,MERC, FOE, AGG all in one go…. FOE and AGG jumped ship however….

Didn’t BG also get ATAC, Work, etc and all the other small/med WvW guilds from SoS as well?

Apparently you don’t understand the history of T1 very well my friend, Understandable, but don’t come on here and post regarding things that you know nothing about.

Do you know what happened right after the HoD collapse? Guess what? JQ took the throne, JQ was in the top spot for some time after HoD’s fall, a few weeks if I recall correctly. After that, there were innumerable cries of “Stacking” and “WvW Stagnation”, much like what we see today. Then, a couple weeks later, the newly revitalized SBI, shot back up and took our top spot from us for another 4 or 5 very competitive weeks. At the end of which, JQ managed to beat SBI, only to witness the rise of SoS. SoS was the dominant server for around 10 weeks, something that i’m sure you will remember.

My point to all this is to let you know that JQ has been at the top, we have experience with both success and failure in T1, and almost nothing has changed. Not to say that our community is somehow stronger or better than any other server, but there is something that just keeps Jade Quarrians playing. I for one, have the utmost confidence that JQ will not collapse. We may have many outspoken forum warriors that pop up when we win, and die away when we are losing, but the core that makes us JQ will always be there.

I know exactly what happened, I don’t really want to argue semantics , but JQ didn’t have a period of dominance, they won 2 weeks in a row after HoD and ET collapsed and 1 of those wins was against 2 dying servers which is not on the same level of dominance as the other 3 servers I mentioned.

But now after JQ’s recent 3 months, they have set the records, and once you’ve done that you cannot handle defeat in the same way that you used to.

Most JQ players are now used to winning without even trying, if things get rough there could be a chain reaction and it won’t be for the first time. JQ has already lost the core of the 2 strongest guilds that underpinned the success of JQ, remove the foundations of any structure, no matter how big and it will start to wobble.

I have no idea what’s going to happen, JQ could win the next 5 weeks straight and stabilise themselves, or the whole thing could come crashing down, it’s uncertain. No server is immune to it, no matter what you tell yourself.

LOL, JQ is fine. I’d worry more about your own server. BG has the population now more than any of the other 3 but the only way you guys can win it seems is from most of your guys playing 25+ hours at a time. You may dominate the other servers in coverage but as far as skill goes, you guys need a lot more help still.

Guilds transfer to BG to die it seems, no guild has gone to BG and gotten stronger, they all lose their playerbase and then quit the game.

BG is a black hole for guilds, good thing they have a never ending supply of gold to keep buying new guilds to come over.

Honestly, don’t listen to Cirus. MERC was one of the first guilds to leave and a large part of why SoS collapsed in a whole. He speaks from his own experiences of weakness.

He’s giving a commentary of his own guild. It’s a bit stupid that he’s trying to explain any of this to you.

Keep doing your thing JQ. The only thing MERC is good at when dealing with adversity is packing their bags.

BG was impolding at the time and was on their way to T2. They ate another server and now are no longer imploding, but that does not mean they were doing fine 2 weeks ago. Your comment is kind of stupid.

JQ’s PVE forces would also like to thank Kaineng as they can now all easily get blue vistas and POIs apparently. So I guess the question now is “how long til sea of black kainengs implodes!?!”

Actually the more interesting question is how far will JQ fall now that both EMP and FoO have left? They’ve now lost first place (not just the week, the rank) and all the fair weather players are going to abandon ship (either to PvE or to another server). The easy wins appear to be gone, so the buffer of players they enjoyed from that are a luxury no longer around and the guilds are going to have to work harder to stay in tier one, let alone win it. That’s something a lot of JQ isn’t used to. It’s going to get ugly (you can see the frustration on GW2Guru already) and as hard as the guilds might try to make up for the loss of numbers, people get sick of over time.

Rush to recruit because if the dominoes keep falling like they have been these last few weeks, the next time JQ will be green might be in tier two.

I know youre new, having just bandwagoned to BG and all, so I’ll tell you something funny. JQ lost in T1 pretty much since the game launched til 2 months ago. Losing now isnt going to change much about the server, theres still just going to be a bunch of guilds with low numbers and tons of PVE people who run from fights half the time. Even if 3 servers super stacked and we went to T2 I doubt the JQ community would change much.

But I did hear about a devious plan for all of JQ to move to BG and clog up their Q’s til they get tired of it and disperse. On the even more positive side, this will also give us lots of room to recruit more guilds before we all ninja transfer back in the middle of the night when theres like 4 people playing.

We lose one week and now we’re having this impending collapse? I’ve been on JQ since the start, we’ve won and lost our fair share of T1 matches. I WvW daily and see the same people i’ve seen through out our victories and defeats and I doubt that will change. Any outsider can claim this or claim that, the facts are you’re not a part of our community so you’ll never know just how strong we really are. We’re not HoD/SBI/SoS, we’ve proven to be the most stable competitive T1 server in history even if we’re not first. Hah, I think MERC is a last guild who should lament the fall of SoS. If you were in it for the community you could have stayed. Could have easily stayed in tier one.

When BG was “falling apart” I know for a fact MERC was all ready to jump ship. Glad you guys stuck it through though. Was proud of you guys!

But you shouldn’t judge JQ’s stability based upon your own guild’s weakness.

What is the point of winning at the end of week on the points when you get destroyed like this all the time?

These fights were fun. Running with the 30-35 BG on the map into a map cap zerg over and over and still scoring plenty of kills. After awhile me and my groupmate just started killing and stomping their bad commander every run and they’d scatter and start wiping even though they still had probably 150% of our numbers in the field.

What makes you think you were fighting 150% your number? Maybe you gotta learn to count? I dunno. I think everyone in this game does. lol

Um, little bit of advice to you guys. In t1 we tend to not use a lot of berzerker gear. Most characters like to use soldiers gear, or PVT armour. You can get it though karma vendors in orr, a couple of dungeons, and you can also get them with badges.

I have to laugh every time BG complains about SoR zergballing. The last 2-3 nights I have been in JQ BL, it was around 25-30 of my guildees and I trying to perform with our numbers. We’d fight the first BG Zerg we find, realize its our 25-30 against their 45-50, and get wiped. We’d then meet up with TSYM, even up the numbers, and farm BG for the night. It’s crazy what you can do with even numbers eh? Shame we can’t have even numbered fights with BG unless we create a zergball as well..

Hmm..let’s see, a 30 person guild group combined with the whole zerg of TSYM fighting against what you claim to be 45 BG (and we all know how we like to exaggerate our enemy numbers), and you are wondering why people are complaining the zergball of SoR?

Tsym wants to run large numbers they should leave. This is not the tier for them because for the most part our guilds run 20 – 30. I don’t know what BP is fielding but I know what EA does. Tsym may only be running 30+ (which I doubt I’d go with 40-50 adding in the pugs would be 60+) like they said but the amount of pugs following them probably doubles that. I understand why they are leaving they want massive zerg blob against the same. DB does not do that for the most part and this is why you aren’t meeting any challenge against us. If you split your zergs into two with the pugs following you. You might find more competition.

Aight, if you attribute being able to attribute the ability to out PPT TSym to a single one of your guilds then I laugh right at your faces right now.

Why can’t you guys just work together to find a way to beat TSym rather then work around them?

Yeah, I remember all of those, we had 15 vs your 25+. I’m glad you think so highly of [TG], I mean if the enemy expects us to win with those odds it must say something about us — good fights though, we had a blast fighting SoS.

Haha, I remember this one! You guys should learn how to count, it defs wasn’t 80, haha. But we definently out numbered us. A prime example of how an organised team can take out a zergy pug group. I don’t believe it was a wipe at all, but nice work nonetheless. But funny how you didn’t add the part where you got finished off at the lords room. Wasn’t too long afterwards.
