What we have now is a full blown arms race between BG and SOR.

Like in the real world, the server leaders from will not trust each other to have a ‘fair’ number to deal with. The outcome is simple, each server will continue to mud sling, chest thump and accuse each other of having ‘unfair’ numbers and continue to bring in WvW guilds into their fold. There is also no end to this.

Once upon a time when a girl called Yanox showed me a thread posted on gw2guru by Indo asking each of the three servers JQ/BG/SOR to start sharing information about which guilds they were talking to and do swaps to balance the tier. I had hope at a tough time for BG. We had a brief exchange but nothing solid happened.

Until the KISS event. It upset some people including myself. Then I started recruiting EU for JQ. I approached a few people about this idea, Waha didn’t want anymore EU for JQ, but the NA did. So some meetings happened.

Then, DC. TKG. WARD. ACO happened.

Now if you still want that balance. I have one possible OCX guild that I will hand over in exchange for your promise of redirect all future EU transfers to JQ.

Thanks for the fights tonight in early EU IRON on BG bl, even though I was kinda running a militia zerg that couldn’t really cope with the slightly lower numbers (i.e. 22 people I think), it’d be great to fight you guys with a guilded force. I’m pretty curious as to why SoR is doing so poorly, ticking at ~100. I know it’s the weekend, but did the server lose people, taking a break or?

Well they just received some of the better NA guilds from JQ in WARD and ACO. They’re probably trying to recruit more EU coverage though. The last time they were ticking this low they were able to lure KISS and IRON to their server and this helped them PvDoor with map zergs in EU time . We’ll see soon enough what will happen. All we can do is keep fighting the good fight.

Okay, to any future posters who wish to regurgitate this bullkaka about SOR purposefully underperforming to attract KISS, can you please redirect your skulls to the recruitment page where you will see a thread by KISS in which they detail the reasons why they decided on their server. You might have to scroll a little bit, so hopefully your index finger is up to the task.

JQ guys wanting to stay, i know it may look grim now but the future looks bright. I can welcome you to the t2 and below clan where skilll lag is almost non existent, there are alot more GvG’s and alot more guild v guild action, also fighting completely new servers every week is also very exciting.

I’d be more concerned about SoS than JQ Rooster. A friend and I just left SoS for JQ due to the grossly lopsided matchups. From what we heard SoS is about to bleed out 2 more guilds.

We loved SoS, but there’s only so many times you can walk 2 feet from spawn and get run over by an 80 man TC zerg before you just stop going back.

SoS is all good. Going down tiers isn’t so much a problem for them as it is for a server who hasn’t properly dipped out of t1. Enjoy >:)

The 10% overall boast to damage is nice from earth but I really like the extra pres and critical damage. And you can grab the VI trait as well for some extra awesome damage.

Of course this is a more offensive route as unlike putting the points into Earth or Water you’re not getting both defensive and offensive, but I find that 100 toughness is easy enough to get through items, 100 condition damage isn’t the greatest thing, and you’re doing 20% more damage whilst low while keeping the extra swiftness and fury from the auras.

I’ve seen somebody use the build before and wanted to know if more of us eles are opting to it now that we are feeling safer shaving off 10 points in water?

I am loving it atm. Pretty squishy but more critchance and critdamge. Needing quite good movement and fight overview though, as you will get much damage with your low toughness.

As 20 traits I use 20% less cd on air and on cantrips. This grants even higher movement and more cantrips to use in a fight. Shocking aura, updraft and RTL can always use a lower CD but with the buff of weakness, lighning touch is awesome.

No, that is not what he was saying with that part. By that part, he just simply meant that he’s going to keep doing that until they get more wvw guilds to actually shoot for 1st. Until then, he’s saying they are having fun messing with SoR’s EU by scaring off SoR SEA.

Yeah, they whole “watch you crash and burn” thing was kind of dark, but yeah, there’s only two things someone can do in the face of adversity. Quit or fight.

I guess a message like that however, is kind of counter intuitive, as people tend to make more of a reaction to a direct confrontation. As opposed to silently doing this every night and letting it get into people’s minds.

SOR definitely needs a few more asian and oceanic wvw guilds, but is certainly stacked in both NA and EU and needs no more guilds in those timezones. I hope even the BG and JQ trolls can agree on this -__-

The problem is, that between October and February, all the tier 1 servers had 18/7 coverage. They all had their weak zones where they could not even fill 1 map for a major portion (several hours) of a 24 hour day. It was like a combination of rock, paper and scissors.

The end of free transfers saw a massive amount of guilds stacking onto Jade Quarry, giving it the first superior 24/7 coverage since HoD had TA.

It’s a vicious cycle, one that I never wish never happened. But as far as blaming who’s fault it is, you don’t need to go any further than have a look at your own server who started the 24/7 super stacking server trend.

I hope Jade Quarry can recruit more guilds to “equal” SoR and BG, but the problem is that it’s happening at the expense of all the lower tiers, tier 2 used to be very close to tier 1, now they are miles apart.

There is an unquenchable thirst now for the tier 1 servers to have superior 24/7 coverage, anything less isn’t enough!

OMG you manged to kill the 10-15 or so HB that was out and about tonight. WOW i mean +30 active guild manged to kill half the numbers. Well done there.

GvG? It would be an interesting sight to behold. Maybe that can settle things. Maybe IRON can GvG RK too.

GvG is not possible. IF we where to GvG we would lose our main commander around our forces. We tend to be one of only 2-3 commanders that have any active EU forces with them that is not pure militia. The only reason we are winning is because of the guilds doing over time and that will go away next month.

I am looking into GvG, but we have no numbers for. We have to 10-15 man at the most when we are out and about. That is all we can bring to a fight so if we where to GvG we would be forsaken our duty as commanders for BG. HB have a few more, but not a lot more they are only a more hardcore wvw guild.

We are a small guild holding our own vs a far larger population. Any GvG we do will hurt our server.

I think generally the best time to have GvGs is at the end of the week before reset when the score is pretty much settled.

I’m sure if the PPT gap is big enough between any server then it could be safe to do this.

The more guilds who get into GvGs in NA the better I think! Some people don’t like it but I believe it adds a dynamic of strategy into the game and improves WvW play as a whole. Makes you think more about class management in a way that is usually lost in the immensity of regular WvW.

Not only is it bonkers, to even state this is highly offence to the guys out there who are trying their best to fight any bit of score they can. I’m more then tolerant to the enemy when their PPT and presence aren’t the best, but this is complete and utter bullkitten.

I think if i were to say I was insulting anyone in particular it would be hard… because I guess I’m insulting everyone, in the past, present and future. (Insulting people I don’t even know yet, ooooo boy)

People who do complain about the points I have made I usually find are just rambling on and don’t have any base to their arguments or plea, and they think by typing out their woes on the forums it’s going to fix the problem.

Like, to me, it seems easier to just wish for world peace… Maybe on your next birthday when you’re blowing out your candles you might know what to wish for

Since the beggining, there has never been a perfectly fair group of servers. Like, seriously.

When have you found that the fights have been completely even in a 24 time frame. That’s right, never. Back when SoS was the top dog we used to fully cap the map, then when JQ took the reigns, it was the same deal, different time zone.

If you’re not enjoying the coverage, then it sucks to be you. If you find yourself crying at night a lot maybe play a MMO without this style of PvP, because you’re saying all these words but I don’t see any proper solutions.

You take away our forces in a timezone, everyone should do the same thing. To make a perfect society for t1 it’s going to take more then crying on the forums to fix it.

The only solution I could see is if there was some sort of tri-server group who would pick and select guilds that were allowed to participate in the server, and completely remove the pug presence. You’d have to chop and chop and chop until you finally realise that you’re going to eventually take the fun right out.

JQ just doesn’t need EU. They need oceanic as well.
