no because exploring with friends. If I die and my friends kills of the boss or whatever they can revive me. I can understand people do not revive for example at mark 2 golem because it is 15 second run from waypoint back and reviving takes way longer then that.

I always am sad when I am exploring and i see a downed player, I try to get there but when I just arrive to late they just waypoint out. The times I do get to revive someone I always get a thanks.

In pvp I do not know, I do not play pvp, at all.

In general I do not see that much of what OP describes tbh, EXCEPT on world bosses. but well, what to expect from a load of people gathering around and making fun waiting for a dragon to spawn. They get bored and it is safe from home behind the computer to say what mommy does not allow.

said that, I get sometimes pretty angry, but then I think, let them, I am 12 and what is this people trying to troll adults is normal, because in the end, an online game is not any different then “most” forums.

the game has a rating on for a reason. If it allowed nudity it would be your own fault for allowing a 3 year old play a (was it 12+ or 18+ game with the current rating?) game that has a mature rating.

IF it would have nudity in it of course i wouldn’t let him play it (DUH) and i do realize my kid is to young for the fighting and killing. hence the fact he never does or see this.
I just think that a 3 year old in this digital age should be able to discover things like guild wars lands. it is beautiful lush lands with so much to see. Nudity does not fit into this game.

also the rating does not have anything to do with younger people playing. it is a sugestion, if you will a guideline for the age limit. does not mean a 3 or a 5 or 8 year old can not play the game.

I think the visage of a Charr with a huge spikey armor would scar a 3 year old more than some natural human bodyparts. It’s not like he would connect either to something in the first place. He’s bound to see some of those things IRL sooner or later anyways, and hopefully it’s not a big plushy horned/fanged 8 feet kittycat with a cleaver.

i helped him create the “kittycat” it has the most ugly mean looking face is grey and has guardian armor and small horns hardly scary at all as he say so himself. he likes it to go sleep and look at the cows outside if the charr city. i dont let him wander of to far in the world as it will have to do with killing and its very hard to explain a 3 year old why they do that. still a 3 year old should not see dangling man parts in a fantasy game (or female parts) and wonder what they do at this age. I do agree sooner or later they will pick it up probably on tv (wich we dont even own, we dislike television) or on the internet. but as a parent i am responsible for what he sees and what i think he is allowed to see. and to be honost: i do not want to take his 10 minutes of fun away from him.
Then again i am sure A-net will not allow nudity in this game so i am not worried i would have to do so.

i also know there is many more parents here who let their youngster play this game (many posts about it before the forums became a hate source pretty much) and even A-net posted a story about it (repost from someone telling about his 5 year old).

i do not care what drops all i want them to change is that a warrior gets heavy armor out of a chest and a mesmer would get light armor and a ranger medium (for all proffessions that is ofcourse)

ALWAYS i get light or medium on my warrior (with crappy blue exceptions and very sometimes a green heavy item) and vice versa on my mesmer. it does get annoying. this would be considered a drop too as we have to kill to get to the chest.

as they like to say at A-net: “when it’s ready”.

but that aside somewhere next week is being said on several forum posts.

My warrior is damage spec’d and uses boon duration runes to help both myself and the party im with.

2xPirate = 10% Magic Find, 20% Might Duration = 13s each
2xWater = 25 Healing, 15% Boon Duration = 76s each

Run the AC dungeon for the tokens you need to buy Monk runes and you’ll earn enough gold needed to buy the other four

disabling trade system in any MMO would kill the MMO regardless of gold sellers or not. we got used to trading in games and we take the botters and gold sellers for granted and hope the devs find a way to minimize it, what else.

well i got my 20 bag slot and karka shell the rest was not worth more then 1 gold, i did not cry after a 3 hour lag fest. No i was happy i was able to even participate in the event and actually did got something.
Now people say they did not got an email (yet) eventhough the A-net team has clearly stated in several places it could take a while for the script to run well and provide everyone.

It makes me sometimes sad to know i am part of this community, but i do love GW2 , GW1 and the A-net team and am very happy to be able to even play the game. (highest amount of gold i ever gotten together is 21G just because i dont care about pixels other then playing the game with what i can get in the given time and energy i put into it)

there is a lack of decent armors in general. but hopefully in the future there will come more.

people seem to overlook there is actually a grouping tool already. check your friendslist (y default i believe) 3th tab. i know, i know it is not near perfect but if activated it gives pplayers a blue icon over the head showing they are looking for a group.

You are forgeting one thing. ARENANET has tools how to measure everything. They know how much money they make trought gems, they know everything. We dont.

What if players are playing more then before?

wintersday is coming and as seen on their event notification page it looks like something will happen in januari aswell. just wat and see what they got for us. Anet does listen it just takes time for them to “fix” things.

for anybody else complaining: i do realize it is no fun and do realize it will “drive” a certain amount of people away (good ridance if you ask me) but if any of you people can do it beter then anet: be my guest and make such a great team and great game as Anet team did and make your own game very fast.

Gandara became quiet indeed but it is more something from the past week really. every time i go somewhere people are talking and playing even in orr, although the past week was very quiet indeed. i might just stop with my guild building and just move to a other server im not sure. would be nice to find a RP server where people are actually nice to eachother. I found that a many people on Gandara became rude and selfish.

my speculations are that it will be about christmas and winter…

In your previous post you shout: " IT IS JUST A GAME NOT YOUR REAL JOB! ", now you are saying it’s just business. You seem to be all over the map on this one.

you are taking things out of context. do not do that because then you make others look like they are liars wich they are not. the “shout” was about grinders doing grinding for a living (ingame) the quoted part, if you read proper, is not about the grinders/farmers or whatever you call them, it is about a business e.g. a-net or any other commercial business.
i for one look at it from several ways.

the game is what? 2 months old? give it some freaking time. it was ready to be released but they have never said it is FULLY done. and yes they said we release it WHEN it is ready. i have yet to find a game to be 100% finished on release. always a patch here or there.

i have a 3 year old boy and he is enchanted by the graphics of GW2. so i figured to make him a character (wich i steer around he does not get the concept as of yet to press AWSD buttons but he know how to jump) and we are just walking around through ascalon area’s (he wanted a cat so we made a charr together). i am not allowed to go of the roads and i must be nice to the animals but he say the spiders are scary so they “can go”. i dont mind him seeing the violence in GW2 as most of it for him is just pretty graphix and fireworks as he calls it. mommy is not so happy but she see us having fun so she is “ok with it” (for now).

cant wait till he is old enough so we can play together (but hey time goes very fast with the young ones!)

did ranger first to lvl 80 pugged once (arah) the rest i did solo.
ranger was easy cakes considering the bugs it has and kitteny weaponry.

then i made a mesmer leveled up to 80 now and yes once i got in orr it started to get troublesome with the insane spawn rate of the undead i just cant solo it (as of yet) i just figured to make me some nice full blown armor (no not need ascended stuff just maxed out) and see from there a nice build to do the stuff. next be warrior i think just so i can breeze through most stuff. after that…. no clue. time will tell.

I strongly disagree here. The design is fantastic i think. Why? because it is ment to be the way it is. eventhought the new dungeon made people huddle up in LA at this moment. GW2 IS designed for casuals who are not in a guild and also for people who are into teamplay. it is the same with GW1 the whole point is that you can solo the game if YOU want it or team up if YOU want that.

Just typing screaming saying that GW2 is badly designed as a MMO is just wrong to do so, merely because GW2 is designed not be like all other MMO’s out there.

I’m new to the guild wars world and I’ve enjoyed playing with my Asura engineer over the last couple of days. However I am seeing quite a bit of negative feedback towards the game on the forum.

In all honesty, is this a game worth sticking with or is it one already in a state of decline?

dont look at the forums. this is merely a small part of the big guild wars community. in game all is fine if you are not into the hardcore farming. then not a single game will ever please most people specially not guild wars as it is really brought as a game for the casual and the more experienced gamer (see the fact that it says casual first also by arena net as i can recall).
the forums are at this point just a hate filled area wich should not undermine the game in any way or form.

this ofcourse is just my own opinion. if someone does not agree with this i’m ok with that, just do not go all hating on me for giving my own opinion. i let you give your own opninions aswell.
