in my opinion, the biggest problems are free transfers and nightcapping!!
But it’s still an amazing game!!!

Let’s see what they do with this big February patch. I am holding out till then for some WvW love but, from the recent interview I watched, I am not holding my breath.
I also dread what the Valentine’s Day event will be. Hearts everywhere… ugh.
For solely cosmetic items? Yea.
Legendary items are no longer cosmetic items. They will scale to always be ‘best in class’ as time goes on.
Reqs are insane for crafting these weapons.
Here’s how I do it:
1) Approach present, hit F, get blown back
2) Run in, collect present(s)
3) Dodge roll
4) Dodge roll
5) Run away
While culling was bad, it got worse with the change and now it’s just back to being bad again.
Just happened: 1 thief vs 10
I was getting shot for about 2 seconds before the thief appeared – constantly. Because of the culling she was only visible for 1 or 2 seconds at a time and then gone again (damage/dots didn’t matter). While I have issues with the stealth in this game this is more about the god awful invisible enemies in WvW due to your rendering issues.
Please fix this crap already. It’s more important that the breakout thing, or the wall thing or just about anything else in WvW.

Any time they choose to patch is going to be a bad time for someone, since the game is played worldwide. I’m sure the connection errors will be sorted out soon.
2 hours after WvW reset? Doubt there is a worse time.

Just because you ran into two kittenholes doesn’t mean the rest of the community is like that. Also, those were dungeons, those places are a breeding ground for people like that.
Point #1 = Stats don’t matter because of transmuting.
Point #2 = It’s mainly about the skin and accomplishment with legendary weapons.
So, if you want the skin then do it, if you don’t then don’t do it. Couldn’t be simpler, no debate required.
Legendary weapon stats will, in the future, change to match the current ‘best in game’ weapon stats. So, not just a skin but a class of weapon that gets better over time.
Hard to tell sometimes when it comes to that other game. But if he was, good one.
They should have gone 100% WoW clone and let everyone be any roll tank/heal/dps…
If you want this game to be a clone of that other game, why don’t you just play that other game and not bother with anything else?
They are crap because you deleted your character? How are they crap because you didn’t pay attention to what you were doing?
It clearly says on the transmutation window, in red lettering that transmuting will soulbind the items.
So how are they crap for you not paying attention to what you are doing?

Man I seriously hope not. Those are worst things added to the game…so far.
The day before the Fractals showed up, I spent a few hours running with the zerg in Orr, something I often did. From that day until now, Orr is always contested because there is no zerg running the events anymore. Orr is really a barren wasteland now, aside from a bunch of teleporting bots hitting nodes.
We used to have a queue for WvW during the week, now there is never a queue aside from Friday night and I have gotten so used to seeing the outmanned buff, I notice when it is not there.
All I see in LA is LFG Fractal, LFM Fractal, fractal this, fractal that, fractal, fractal, freaking fractal…
If they do add another set, they need to seriously drop the intensity of the higher level areas so they become single player friendly because there won’t be a zerg in those areas ever again. All the WPs will be contested all the time (kinda like they are now).
If you are wondering where everyone is on your full but seemingly empty server, they are in the instanced Fractals.
There are hundreds of MMOs with the trinity steadfastly in place, they are over there —> have fun.
With your suggestion – all gear at 80 would have to be the same no matter what style it is. Heavy armor, light armor – same defense and same bonuses. Unless you think we need to have armor and weapons and jewelry for each separate role? No way man! There would be no need for classes, everyone has the same skill tree and depending on how you allot your skill points, that’s your skill set.

Badge drops have sucked for me for weeks now and I have been changing my build around a lot. Killed and/or spiked 13 people in one fight and got 2 badges out of 6 bags, there were 5 on my side, 2 using catapults on a wall.
I’ve all but given up on badges now.
A few reasons:
1) I love the concept behind the game and I am hoping they actually come back to their manifesto and deliver on what they sold us
2) I actually enjoy the pace of the game
3) I still haven’t completed the maps
4) Nothing else to play at the moment to be honest
I have a solution – remove the jumping puzzles from WvW.
We don’t get the bonuses while playing WvW? WTH?
So… let me get this straight:
1) No bonuses
2) Crap drop system
3) Crap rewards
4) Crap badge drops
5) Spend a lot of gold doing it

Well look at it this way, at least none of their patches have caused your PC to not boot properly. That has happened in a few AAA MMO’s I have played before.
Bugs happen – they fix them – hopefully quickly. Welcome to the world of the MMO.

I’m for it if using supply isn’t one of the objectives. That would just promote the siege cap griefing that’s happening.
There is really no way to stop that from happening at all aside from removing the cap altogether.
We’ve seen a large drop-off over the past month in our WvWvW population.
I think everyone is these days. WvW is just getting to be a boring grind and the players are feeling it.
My problem is the reward system. I’ve got more karma than I know what to do with and badges just don’t drop unless you are a high DPS character, which I am not.
I just feel like WvW is a gold sink for me with little in the way of decent rewards.
This, to me, sounds more inline with the way the regular Daily works:
60 Enemy Kills (NPC does not count) – 3 stages of 20
12 Captures (of any kind) – 3 stages of 4
12 Defends (of any kind) – 3 stages of 4
210 Supply used (building siege/repairing stuff) – 3 stages of 70
15 Siege built (not dropped but helped build) – 3 stages of 5
Rewards:
20 badges / 10k karma / 5 Instant repair canisters
Rewards overall participation in WvW.

The only problem with making Karma the only currency for WvW is that you can play PvE and get all the Karma you need for top WvW gear. So, right after stepping foot into WvW one could have the best gear for WvW. Adding a separate, slower building currency like Honor or Glory would be better than the current badge nightmare. It would give everyone, regardless of playing DPS or Defense, a decent reward system.
Rewards are mainly targeted at DPS players. Whoever does the most damage gets the best rewards and this is terribly flawed for something with the depth of WvW. For those of us who are more defensive and supportive, we get the stink end of the stick.
I can’t tell you how many times I have stayed behind when we capture a keep just to fortify it so that when it is attacked, we can actually defend it while others run off to ‘farm badges’ with their DPS characters. These are the same people who complain when there is no siege available to defend said keep, so they can get more badges. while being weighted down with all the loot and badges they collected.
Makes me not want to play at all anymore, but I still do because I generally like this game.
Ascended gear is basically Exotics with a Rune already added to it and an infusion slot. The infusion slot is useless everywhere aside from the areas specific to it. Eventually we will have legendaries with the same stats as the ascended and an added slot for runes so this means the next level of gear will match those. Now if you have legendaries you are set and done – no more need for gear unless you want to do the fractals/karka stuff.
I want WvW equivalent gear to the ascended available through WvW the same way it’s available now. Karma/Badges but they need to fix the badge drop issues. Crafting is also a good way to get it but the reqs are insane.
Hammer damage, staff AOE, heals. I don’t die often so, picking up my bags is easy. Just not getting many bags and even less badges. I’d say in the past few days – 500 kills and, maybe 20 badges, 50 loot bags.
I mean if I fire off as a DD, sure I’ll get a bunch, but, that’s not the role I actually enjoy playing. Support is just not getting the rewards.
Just really discouraging.
Seriously. as a support type Guardian I get crap for badges. My kills in the past two hours in WvW has gone up by 200 and I have received 1 badge from all my bags, all 8 of them.
C’mon – there has to be some reward for being support (aside from helping your server), right now, it’s craptastic.

I’m just wondering if this:
•Mini pets are now usable in the Heart of the Mists.
Will do nothing but make the zergs invisible for a longer period of time or if all we will see are a bunch of minipets attacking.
My guild has a bunch of members but it’s always the same 10-20 who play WvW. I am perfectly fine with that because it means you learn how to work together over time resulting in a better overall WvW experience.

SPvP is a lame dumbed down miniature version of WvW without the strategy, planning, and there are only two sides. It’s just run to the spot – defend/attack/cap run to the next spot later, rinse, repeat. SPvPers need the immediate gratification thing otherwise they would stop.
Tried it a few times, it was boring.
Well, when WvW give some items I back to play.
One of our guys from SoS dropped a precursor when he died for crying out loud. What more could you ask for?
Just get with the Zerg and ride around until you get it. Or, if the cost or repair is the problem – run around naked until you get them all.

Well, after the debacle of the starting event (and not getting any loot from it). I decided to completely ignore everything else associated with the Lost Shores event and have done so to this day.

Make the monthly stuff you would just be doing anyway, events, mob kills, salvage – stuff like that. You don’t make the PvP monthly have to do dungeons, even though they could.
3) Finally make it so people can get Ascended gear from somewhere other then those stupid fractal dungeons. Problem solved.

No, seriously – I just crafted a full set of exotic gear yesterday and it ended up costing me about 10g to fill in the stuff I was missing. And I don’t do FoTM or dungeons at all. I just WvW and PvE when I get tired of WvW.
I have not done a single fractal dungeon and have no intention of doing them, ever. I play WvW and I am quite content. Once they do the updates in Feb, hopefully I will vertically progress into quite happy.
Guild Wars 2 is a F2P MMO, once you buy it that is.
I’ve had the game since launch, paid for the game, haven’t had to pay anything since. As for the P2W thoughts, this game is totally P2W. Pay cash for gems-trade gems for gold-buy awesome gear/buffs/whatever on the TP. Arena Net is just cutting out the need for goldsellers by doing that and, personally, it’s a brilliant idea.

Fractals are poopy because they are useless for me as I don’t do dungeons and I play GW2 for WvW. Infusions mean nothing to me. Therefore, I don’t care how much work went into them. I can only hope they put 2x the amount of work into WvW because it is a massive part of the game and they, supposedly, love it soooo very much.
Nope, bad idea because it would not work. AOE would hit everyone around you unless you were all in a party all the time and that just don’t happen with events. So – that would mean no events which is a cornerstone of PvE.
WvW is open world PvP.
Oh and ‘open world pvp = non consensual pvp = I just wanna PK noobs’
Legendaries are meant to take longer than 3 months to make.
Part of the reasoning behind this was the fact that Legendary were only cosmetic items and offered no bonuses at all. Now they are the “always best in game” gear. While I agree the reqs for them should be high, it should not be something that is insanely high anymore since they are actually useful now.
Exotics have been easy to get/buy/craft in comparison and they were designed to be best in game. Now that the legendaries are, they need to drop the reqs on them some to keep with their basic gaming philosophy.
