NEW FEATURES AND CONTENT
Raids
Salvation Pass
New information regarding the whereabouts of the missing Pact squad leader has come to light. Follow the trail deeper inside the mysterious bandit complex, but be prepared for anything, as strange creatures and grim discoveries litter your path to the truth. Fight your way to the temple on the hill to uncover the mystery of how it all began.
Form a ten-person raid squad and enter Salvation Pass from the northeast corner of Verdant Brink. Take on epic encounters and demanding challenges of skill in your journey for legendary armor.

Raids
Spirit Vale
• General
o Removed adrenal mushrooms near waypoints.
o Cooldowns now automatically reset for players when they revive after their squad is defeated in an encounter.
• Spirit Woods
o You Will Join Us: Doubled the warning time of this environmental attack during the second portion of the Spirit Woods event.
• Gorseval
o Gorseval now properly focuses attacks on the player with the most toughness.
o Updated Gorseval’s Ghastly Prison skill to be easier to evade as well as prevent it from hitting gliding players.
o Fixed a bug that caused Gorseval to execute its World Eater attack early.
• Sabetha
o Added a client-side audio cue for players who have been targeted by Sapper Bombs.
• Rewards
o The achievements for killing bosses in Spirit Vale now award a Box of Raider’s Supplies. Players who previously earned these achievements should get the rewards the next time they enter the map.
o Spirit Vale bosses now award ascended armor in a box that allows players to choose the armor type and stats.
o Ascended jewelry awarded by Spirit Vale bosses will now be available for purchase from the Priory Scholar vendor for 250 magnetite shards.
o The Priory Scholar vendor in Spirit Vale now sells boxes of ascended armor that include the new stat combinations introduced in Heart of Thorns™.
o Unwanted raid miniatures can be traded for 40 magnetite shards at the Priory Scholar vendor in Spirit Vale. These do not count against the weekly cap of magnetite shards that can be earned.
o Ascended gear awarded from raid bosses will now give magnetite shards when salvaged. These do not count against the weekly cap of magnetite shards that can be earned.
o Accessories awarded from Gorseval are no longer unique.
o Sabetha’s crucible back items can now be infused in the Mystic Forge.
o Energized Loop rings from the Vale Guardian can now be infused and attuned in the Mystic Forge.
World vs. World
• Trebuchet: “Fire Rotting Cow” attacks now display a red ring at their impact site where the poison field is active.
• Lowlands Keep: Increased the size of the Guild Objective Aura radius to at least slightly extend past all of the walls.
• Valley Keep: Increased the size of the Guild Objective Aura radius to at least slightly extend past all of the walls.
Guild
• Players can now harvest from resource nodes in the guild hall if they are not representing.
• The gramophone decoration now displays the correct size before you place it.
• Fixed the collision of the basic pedestal decoration.
BLACK LION TRADING COMPANY GEM STORE
New Items and Promotions
• A new Classical Glider is now available in the Upgrades category of the Gem Store for 400 gems.
• A new set of Dominator weapon skins is available from the Black Lion Weapons Specialist for 1
Black Lion Claim Ticket for a limited time. Tickets and ticket scraps are available from Black Lion Chests. Keys are available in the Special category of the Gem Store.
• Ten new and exclusive hair colors have been added to Total Makeover Kits and Self-Style Hair
Kits, which are available in the Services category of the Gem Store.
• The March Every Day Sale continues today with the permanent Captain’s Airship Pass available in the Services category today only for 850 gems, a savings of 15%.
Improvements
• Captain’s Airship Passes and Royal Terrace Passes can now be used while in a guild hall.
• Players may now jump or glide from the “Havoc’s Heir”—safety railings have been removed from the airship.
• The Wizard’s Hat headgear skin can now be dyed. Use dye remover to return the hat to its previous color.

Hi All,
I accidentally threw away my stage 1 wings of glory. Do I need to rebuy it or can I put the skin on an item and throw it in the forge with the other 3 to make the ascended wings of glory?

I strongly believe win streaks should eventually award more than one extra pip.
For instance, if your win streak has gone on for 6 games you should get two extra pips.

Buy an r9 390 or 380 based on how much money you can afford to invest in your graphics.
Keep character limit on lowest if you want to maintain the “best” possible fps you can get. You’ll be able to max out GW2’s graphics with a r9 390 at a resolution of 1920×1080. My little brother also has an i3 and it doesn’t bottleneck him… it just doesn’t give you as good of fps as an i5 or i7 would.
If you do upgrade your cpu go big… i7 6700k. Not worth upgrading to an i5 for just a little jump.

Scrappers seem to have too many survivability tools… They have a trait that triggers at 25% hp giving them invulnerability for around 3-4 seconds, multiple ways to heal, speed, etc… Does anyone else feel the same way?
You just prooved that you know nothing about this trait. You cant do anything while shrinked exept runing around like headless chicken and pray that point what you captured so hardly before dont get decaped by that crap. Only braindead metabattle copypasters using this trait and if you are not able to deal with those ppl well you should consider to not play pvp at all.

. You seem to think I know nothing about the trait, but I ask that you show me where I proved to know nothing about it.
I realize engies cannot do any actions while the skill effect is active, and I don’t think it’s something only people that use metabattle builds would take into PvP. Invulnerability is quite powerful.

Self-Regulating Elixirs needs to go. It’s one of those “Passive Procs” that aren’t really connected to skillful play at all. Not to mention it can be punishing since Elixir S means you have 4s where you can’t cap, attack or anything else but running away.
Hammer should remain as it is, untouched. It’s got a few cracks in the supposed armor that can be easily capitalized on if you just learn how to fight Scrappers. Primarily, it’s the Long Activation Times (#2 and #5) and Animation Lockdown (#3, also it only evades during the leaps. Hit them as they hit you and CC them out of it). A carefully placed Headshot from a Thief, Glyph of Equality from a Druid or Diversion from a Mesmer will pull a Scrapper straight out of their stride.
The reason Scrapper feels so powerful right now is because they’re a Bruiser-style Profession. They shine in fights against Glass Cannons the likes of Daredevils and Dragonhunters who rely heavily on bursting down enemies quickly. It’s the same reason Druids are still around, because they’re also Bruisers that mix Damage with Sustain.

. 1v1 power builds will indeed have a hard time fighting a scrapper. This leads me to saying (once again) that scrappers have too much survivability. I feel 1v1 fights against a scrapper should be even and the winner should be determined based on skill.
ANet is obviously moving away from bunker gameplay, so I think scrappers’ current method of play needs to change as well. When you fight scrappers what profession is it normally as? I believe a lot of professions are currently struggling to kill scrappers. Necro being the only one that doesn’t seem to be

How about the fact Engi’s retal procs are higher, lasts longer and deals more damage than Guardians.
Can scrapper provide team retal though? As far as I know, only the Guardian’s signet of judgement, save yourselves, and aegis (with wrathful spirit) can give team-wide retaliation in a 600 radius. In a team fight that can actually be really great.
I think the bigger issue here that I’m hearing is that jesus is no longer viable since the Jan. 26 patch because Scrapper just does it all better.
In PvP I hope I don’t have an ally guardian using a signet… or wrathful spirit

We have to be honest here. Engineers (Scrappers) have too much survivability. I’m all for skillful game play, and that is why I believe scrappers should get their survivability checked and toned down… I’m all for them being viable and having diverse builds

Retreat is a really simple skill. Too simple honestly. It should either be made into a stun break or receive a CD reduction… A 34 second base CD would be… okay

Traveler’s runes definitely aren’t a bad choice, but I don’t feel like pack runes lag behind just because the boons they offer aren’t up always. The damage difference is blatantly obvious, but so is the movement speed difference between the two runes.
It comes down to what you perform better with. I’ll keep trying out traveler’s runes, but I definitely feel like pack runes aid in helping our burst significant enough to where being slow isn’t the worst thing on Earth.
I feel that hammer is too slow of a weapon… it does offer great utility, but longbow 5 is literally better than hammer 5 in most situations… Sigil of blood on longbow is definitely a good choice, and air/fire still work on that weaponset as well. The hp regen from sigil of blood is noticeable.
The thing w Soaring Devistation is that you really don’t want to use F2 to deal damage… it’s much better as being used to kite, heal allies, and sometimes gap close, but to sacrifice the hp regen F2 gives for dmg is rarely ideal… Piercing light will help 3 potential utilities you’d carry for PvP (ToF, Purification, and Hunter’s Determination)… those utilities having a cd reduction is beautiful, and way better than Soaring Devistation

Smite Condition removing 2 conditions rather than 1 is actually a world of difference…
You’re right though, guardian can’t carry hard lol. I am enjoying using Smite Condition now compared to before… I don’t feel as overwhelmed by conditions with both my heal and utility removing 2 conditions rather than 1 condition at a time.

Hi All,
I play DH in PvP, and I feel way more useful post patch. With our condi removal being upped, I don’t encounter as many situations where I get overwhelmed by conditions, and it allows me to stay dps’ing strong. I don’t encounter as many tanky opponents, or hybrids that feel unkillable. I have high hopes for S2, and I hope things only continue to get better from here.

I don’t think condi burst potential is much lower… sure, it creeps up over time, but condi burst can get pretty nasty if you don’t have condi removal. Same for physical dmg if you don’t have a block, protection, invulnerability, etc…
