It is a bandaid fix because that is the way a-net does right now: big patch every 3 months, small fixes in between. Be happy that we have this at least.
For the changes themselves: Moa reduced duration is a nerf to chronomancer, widely regarded as one of the strongest class right now. So you could say it is good. On the other hand:
- we are really back in bunker meta pace. Moa at least was one way to get a kill.
- this is probably not the best way to fix moa since it nerfs core mesmer even more compare to chrono. Moa was always an annoying skill, but it only got out of hands because of continuum split. So now they halved Moa duration to make up for the halved CD coming from continuum split… Bad balance
Rev nerf was needed. Surge of the mist is one of the most stupid skills of the game, it should not have damage on it to begin with (very strong CC + gap close + evade should be enough for one skill).
I agree… It shouldn’t do damage, or not be an evade. The damage it did post-patch was obscene. Maybe it’ll be a noticeable drop.

I keep hearing mixed things about what AN did to life stealing effects.
Are these sigils still the same as they were post-patch?
If not, what changed? Do they scale with power? Healing? Or is there a new static effect?

sigil of force, sigil of night, and sigil of air.
Wanted to know if 2 sigil of force on one weapon set would stack…wiki said no. remember near release it had a value of 7.5% stacked.
Want to know if 2 sigil of night on one weapon set will stack? to what value? (i.e. 20% or 15% or 17.5%)

Uses weapon strength of ~690.
This sigil has a 1.1 damage coefficient.Compares to sigil of hydromacy:
Deals about 40 damage at a 0.25 power coefficient in a 240 radius. This effect can critically hit.
compares to sigil of leeching
Heals for 975 at lvl 80 (the healing is not affected by Healing Power)but scales with medic in WvW.
Deals 974 fixed damage at lvl 80 (the damage is not affected by Power).
This effect ignores armor.in terms of damage done. I don’t understand what does more damage here. sigil of air and its damage coefficient i dont understand.
assume i run 3000 power.
I mean say I swap to a weapon for a 10 second period. what is going to do more damage and by how much? What about a 7.5 second period? 5 second period?
How fast you can swap doesn’t matter because Hydromancy and other on swap sigils have a 9s cooldown.
The notes about sigil of leeching is probably outdated. All forms of leech should now scale the damage with power and the healing with healing power.
Wait… So, sigil of leeching doesn’t deal 900 straight damage anymore?

Shelter is the only good guardian heal. It’s also the only channeled block a guardian has access to.
All spirit weapons have a use. Stacking burns, CC, projectile defense and such. Though bow could be more useful.
Hold the Line is mainly used with soldier runes and tanking bombs sorta. But I would like to see a CD reduction. It was recently buffed to actually have the voice lines enabled so there’s that.
Sanctuary is fun in EotM. You can deny stomps at range as well. CD could be lower.
Wall of Reflection is basically the King alongside Feedback. Also Revenents can’t reflect projectiles. They only block them. You’re using Hammer… Or Ventari… What mode are we playing in?
JI is so good… Why are you complaining about a shadow step. Warriors have been crying for ages because of cliffing and lack or teleports.
Traps can be used by non berserkers.
Signet of Courage is terrible. Nothing about it is good other than looking shiny in DR.
Renewed Focus’s 3 second invuln is an eternity. I hate this skill lol.
Hammer is actually the guardian’s #1 DPS weapon.
The only weapon that needs serious review is Sword.
The other stuff is neutral or I agree with but man… The points I said above kinda show you don’t know what guardians need right now.

Then make it a melee leap or smth. I think given it new range it actually should become a melee skill in my opinion.
Wouldn’t you want something different since you can teleport with Shiro? I mean, a leap would be nice, but power revenant doesn’t have a field to lay down to make the most of the leap.

I like the image you placed over the chat box, but I recommend adding a black background to it so that no text leaks. You never know what someone may say in chat.
Also, I recommend cutting down on how much you show of stomps or cleaving downed enemies.

Sword #3 should be one giant slash that destroys projectiles while it moves in a path. It should be LB #3 basically, but a sword skill. Maybe give it a wider range.
Merciful Intervention needs to be changed completely. Medis need to be selfish. Make it so we can blink anywhere within a 1200 range and drop a fire field upon blink

For PvP I’d say both are very fun. If you enjoy full on melee combat go with Rev. If you enjoy a mix of range and melee go with Guard.
I’ve played a Guard for 4 years (roughly), and while it has had its ups and downs, I love the class to death.

You don’t understand DH. Daze helps traps trap people and interrupt potentially harmful skills. What needs to change with virtues is the time the boons trigger from the virtues traitline. Also, DH F1 can hit more than one person.
Stability and LB knockback is beautiful. It shouldn’t change.
First: daze don’t help trapping people. You can still move and dodge. If anything, daze warns you that there is a trap so you can dodge it.
Second: interrupting potentially harmful skills is great, and clearly the point of a CC. But you don’t just put a CC hoping you interrupt something good. You put a CC to interrupt something specific. While as a DH I do sometimes use traps specifically for interrupting, I often use them for their damaging effect, and the CC just becomes annoyance but not clever play. AOE CC should not be a “side effect”, it should be a deliberate choice and the skill should have CC as a main effect. I don’t mind changing one of the trap to be a CC trap. But it should not come with all of them simply as a trait.
Finally, I am not against knockback on LB, but again, not random. I think it should be attached to a specific skill for it to work properly. You may even see it as a buff.
To some extent, this is not the worst part of the DH. You pretty much expect the knock back on the first LB skill after weapon swap, so you can play with it (as a DH) or avoid it (as the enemy).
Yes it does. It can stop people from triggering skills that would help them negate the traps effect or use skills to get away.
I just don’t think some of your balance ideas for DH are plausible. I respect your opinion, and we may have to agree to disagree, but it sounds like you’re suggesting a total rework. If stability was to go on any skill it would have to be LB #2 imo. It would become OP then though. LB #3 would put it on too long of a CD.
If trap daze was removed I would expect to receive a heal on trap deploy. People would probably miss trap daze at that point. It’s not a side effect, it is an active effect. You know daze is going to happen. IMO, skills that have a 20% chance of occurring are more like a side effect to me

Normally I’ll start with Glint. I feel too squishy in Shiro. If you’re trying to catch your opponent from afar it’s best to start with Shiro, though, so you don’t get kited

Only a couple are truly viable for my profession :/. Making more weapons viable would mean more people would grind for the materials to make them, or give players an incentive to buy gems, then convert them to gold to buy them off the TP.

A few players have noticed that new items can be obtained in the Mystic Forge since last week’s update. We added a number of new items to the possible rewards for combining rare weapons in the mystic forge, including Bloodbound weapons, Aetherized weapons, Shadow of the Mad King weapons, and some orphaned skins from Living World season 1.
This was a part of a bigger update to the mystic forge which wasn’t quite ready for this patch, so we pulled most of the changes as well as the release notes. However, since this change did go into the build, I wanted to let everyone know about it.
Good job on this… I knew you guys didn’t want non-legendary skins to rise above legendary skins price wise on the TP :P

DH vs Necro
As long as you have sigil of generosity on longbow this isn’t such a bad fight.
DH vs Mesmer
I noticed it was much harder to fight mesmers. The mesmers I fought may have been tankier than normal mesmers, but I do feel one must pay attention while fighting a mesmer. Once again make sure to have sigil of gen.
DH vs War
Sigil of gen will help here as well bc most warriors rely on conditions now. It’s pretty easy to kite some of them. The tankier warriors can out sustain us if we waste CDs
Everything else
Thieves aren’t as easy to blow up. Condi rev might be harder to deal with for some reason, but power rev is doable to a certain extent. As long as you kite the rev you should be fine. Druid and ele aren’t ideal to 1v1 anyway. If you have to for w/e reason, I feel it is possible for us to kill druids. Don’t try to stay on the point for too long bc of their ability to lock you in place/daze.
I don’t know why metabattle removed traveler runes, but I have been using those runes for about 2-3 weeks now. I don’t think I’ll go back to using Pack anytime soon.

I played a couple unranked matches yesterday, and I fought some notable people. Seeing Warriors on my team is a good feeling, because I know they will help shift the meta. They help “balance” out matches. I have high hopes for S3, and look forward to seeing where things will go from here.
