@Hule, we’re already placing more siege randomly across the fields to paint the scenery with build sites out of boredom than we do in keeps and towers. Please don’t even joke about this

I don’t understand why people are complaining about miller’s. Have they changed this week or something, because they’re pretty much the most enjoyable server to fight. A lot of medium sized guilds (10-15+) and also something to offer the larger guilds. If you don’t want them, can we have them back please?

@Maeeve, since when does TUP allow non forum warriors on here? We can’t have TUPs promoting peace on the forums, you’ll ruin their reputation

Don’t worry, TDA is always around to ruin your duels or carefully orchestrated sign language communication line things properly. You don’t have to rely on the enemy for that I promise you! I was very unsure when to add into you guys having fun, sometimes it looked like only one JDGE was there, but then as if by magic the cavalry arrives.

Then again, the enemy doesn’t respect the dolyak potion of truce, so they deserve a swift and outnumbered death!

We also try and tag any corpses left lying around by other guilds to squeeze some extra loot out of them

Unfortunately, a lot of RoF ppl were back in PvE, checking out new content (and I can’t really blame them for that, given the circumstances) so I think we were outmanned in all the maps ( I didn’t check RoF bl, but we couldn’t move past spawn towers there). Only thing that makes me sad is that we had a queue when it was vs FoW and Vabbi…

Same sort of thing happens to us. When we’re up against servers ranked far below us, we tend to get fully queued up borderlands, when we’re up against server near or above our ranking, suddenly it’s much easier to get in :P

Thanks to DSB and TaG for the interesting evening. Sadly you were the only people to fight on the map as far as I could tell, so once more Gandara guilds got into the borderland it basically became a hunt of who can find you first for a fight. We don’t generally want to gang up on enemy guilds, but at times it happens because we’re eager for action. Glad to see you guys had a good evening though, we had some nice theory crafting going on in TS after wiping, which is indicative of a fun night.

awww, I was hoping our servers would get to fight each other Gandalf, btw, did you see who Desolation are having to fight? xD btw, I did happen to notice that you’re getting beaten by Drakkar Lake at the moment, good luck, don’t worry they are nowhere near as bad as RS is.

If they win, they deserve it, don’t think there are any issues there :P

I think there’s a good chance this match-up will provide a bit of fun for those not obsessed with points For one, Drakkar and RoF both have way more guild groups than RS, which is a great sign already.

You meen when aTs with 8 people were trying to sneak Hills and TDA came with 40 people?
Too bad you did not came 60 seconds later. Then you would need to break gates.

And it was fun watching Gandara and Drakkar groups. Standing at Greenlake at Drakkars BL. Watching big groups from both servers just passing tower. Never attacked, always passed it. One you attacked to destroy our trebs.

Pretty much that, we had agreed with the other guilds to turn on commander tags so we could see where everybody was, only suddenly found ours to be the only one on and a sizable following with us. We would have already been too big with just TDA, but ah well, there were three gandara groups on the BL and half the time if some attack was called out all three would converge on that point even if somebody called dibs.

The night started off with some fun fights, but after that our group got bigger and the enemy groups got smaller, apart from one large group at the south of hills at some point. After a while we decided to move borderlands and were outblobbed, so you can feel happy about that

And wouldn’t that be briar, not lake? Otherwise, what were trebs doing in lake? :P And I think green’s spawn was near briar. There was a constant stream of attacks on both hills and bay that night, requiring constant running about in every direction, was at least action packed. Just a shame our larger groups were on the wrong BL really it seemed.

And what guild was it that wrecked us right at the beginning of reset (around 21:00 CET I’d say) around the NW camp on that cliff where the minotaurs roam? I didn’t catch your tag and we want more of those fights pretty please

This was a very strange night. Really don’t know how to describe it, but things were … very different. We started on Drakkar BL, where after the first few fights we seemed to outnumber every group we met. Then we tried some other borderlands and we mostly encountered rather big groups. Not sure if I enjoyed myself.

First fight this matchup and it was against another guild from the german server, so good impressions for me so far Was very efficiently knocked off a cliff right as I got downed too, that was some excellent timing, faster than a stomp

Heh, people paying for that definitely surprises me, guess I’m behind the times with these things. I’m definitely against Anet charging for the use of their API and I’d agree with you that bot users can easily do their thing without any API published by Anet.

I’d say it’s more the fear about such bots being ‘legal’ due to the publishing of certain API than it is the existence of them that’s causing people to disagree with it. Theoretically bots that are currently operating, should be banned. I have my doubts about how efficient Anet is about banning certain types of bots, but if the release of certain API would legitimize them, they wouldn’t be banning them for sure.

I feel that charging for API usage would give a potential unfair advantage to those willing or able to pay for certain tools over those who won’t/can’t. Obviously this won’t affect all areas of the game equally, but I still feel it goes against the spirit of what they’re trying to do by keeping their cash shop pay2win-free.

None. I don’t think I’d ever pay money for an app, especially not considering the amount of things fans will produce for free.

Had quite a lot of fun in Miller’s Garrison this evening. Was a bit of a weird night, fairly enjoyable though, so thanks to all the people we had the pleasure of fighting there

@JDGE, stop trolling the ADAC guys please, they’re perfectly fun to fight against as far as I can tell and you gotta cherish the guilds with spirit on their server.

Best moment of the day… German bay was opened by the other German server in the south and we started roaming around inside and got some skirmishes. We decided to head north to see if we could hunt down any reinforcements and noticed some guys sitting on arrowcarts shooting at the NW gate. That was quite amusing, considering the enemy was already inside and we decided to kill em.

Just as we took down those AC guys the gate broke down and … there was YAK, greeted from the inside with a quick HAI YAK. Sorry we didn’t hear you knocking earlier or we would’ve let you in, honest! Gandara communication at – its finest there

We then were promptly evicted as blob1 took the keep from blob2 and decided our presence was no longer desired.

Other than that it was not a very entertaining night as we spent half the time trying to get people through the queue to ready up for a GvG, which was quite a pain with a 30-45 minute queue

While fighting on EB Sunday night, I crashed due to the mega blob.

Said crash ended up putting me in queue, so I went to get a drink.

As I got to my kitchen I heard a noise outside, and when I checked I found a guy trying to cut my bike lock with a pair of bolt cutters.

After cursing at him he ran off.

But I am rather pleased that my bike was saved.

Thank you abandons mega blob! You saved my bike!

Same, I suppose there’s no way to fix match-ups anymore so it doesn’t really matter if we win or lose. Might as well win then I guess.

I have to say that after reset night the blobs aren’t always as bad as they used to be, I haven’t crashed yet this match-up. Most groups running around are still too big for my taste, but I manage to stay at more than one frame per second most of the time.

These skills are useful as they generally make people move away from the circle, so that’s how you should use it; pressure on a certain area. Don’t expect it to perform miracles though unless there is a lot going on and people don’t notice the circles for some reason.

For large battles nothing beats Omnom Compote for me.

Solo roaming it really depends on my build/class.

If you’re going anti-conditions lemongrass poultry soup is stupid strong.

If you’re going + condition duration make sure you check to see that you’re getting at least a full extra second on your conditions from it. A 3 second bleed and a 3.9 second bleed do the same damage because of how they deal damage every second. Depending on gear/traits, some times it’s not worth while, others times it is.

I believe conditions are rounded to the nearest quarter of a second, so best keep that in mind as well, 3.9 would actually be rounded to 4. Also, while fractions of seconds aren’t useful for damage conditions, extra CC duration is nothing to be sniffed at

He was doing quite well training them though, I liked seeing that bit :P

I tend to use Chocolate Omnomberry Cream on my guardian. I’m also a big fan of -con duration and +con duration foods on some of my characters.

Noone may ban the players from playing wvw, just because he´s thinking, the enemy has the kitten*ng guilty for lags.

Some people just know some tricks, others don´t know.

Blob here, blob there is not what WvW is about to many of us, hence the complaints. Look at our last week’s matchup thread and see what WvW is about for many of us. I agree the accusations of cheating are a bit useless and shouldn’t really be in this thread.

People are not complaining you have too many people, we have queues in borderlands as well, that’s not the problem; the numbers are perfectly fair. That’s the issue, you just don’t understand why we complain, making this whole week just pure aggravation on both sides.

AM getting annoyed at all the comments about their play style, which is very effective if you play for points. Guilds getting annoyed at your play style because we just want fun fights, then our infantry getting annoyed at our guilds for not wanting to blob up to fight you. Then people not showing up to WvW because of all the aggravation on all sides and lack of fun.

I’m pretty sure you had an amazing match-up against riverside as they understand your style of play and we really wish you could have your fun match-ups with them as we want our fun with servers like MS.

’m sorry to say, but you can’t get a blob bigger than a queued up borderland, regardless of the server you’re from. Apparently AM borderland was the borderland to go for something resembling fun tonight. But only so many people will fit onto there sadly.

And the thing that’s hard about fighting blobbadon is that you can’t actually fight so you are pretty much stuck to chatting on TS and you can do that elsewhere as well.

Ah well, might be time to give tPvP another try.

I wouldn’t blame blobbadon for the server crashes, they are however the first time for at least a week that I’ve had skill lag. People teleporting around and being unable to swap weapons or eat food. Prepare for a week of lots of complaints blobaddon.

I suppose it’s karma for the good week against Miller’s, we deserve an unplayable one. Sad thing is that it will cause Miller’s to group up as well, which is the only logical answer And yes, lots of gandarans will follow too I’m pretty sure.

I posted this in our embassy section on our forums, but figured I could throw it out here as well :P

We actually had a great time again yesterday.

RoF was trying to retake their garrison from MS and left the outer gate open so we snuck in behind them while they were pounding on the inner front gate. Instead of attacking them we stood between them and the various MS guilds that came to try and kill them. We fought off dC, Pony and one more while RoF could continue taking down that inner gate. As RoF took garrison finally, we regrouped on one of the outer walls as the RoF zerg charged us. We kept them at bay for a long time until some sneaky individuals built a ballista right behind their group that we didn’t notice.

After several pushes into them and then back out after taking a lot of damage we finally realized that balista was there shooting at us. Sadly we had already lost many brave guildies so as we pushed on the ballista the rest of us succumbed to their numbers as we finally took it down. Our heroic deaths hadn’t been in vain however, as I believe [ONS] had snuck in through water gate at the time we were fighting off RoF and capped the keep as we kept RoF busy. They then came streaming out to finally revive us as our last loot bags vanished into thin air.

We actually had quite a few more good fights and even some GvG action against MS on the RoF border. Overall a very entertaining night.
