You have no idea man. If you tried to autoattack each other with axe on a stationary hammer scrapper, you lost everytime. That extra little bit of health shouldn’t equate to you having zero sustain compared to every other class. Forget the boons on the engineer, without it you’ll still lose.
If they want warrior to be competitive, they need to give boon hate on it. Tactic GM trait, on burst always remove stability on hit + 1 extra boon per adrenaline. Each boon removed stuns ppl for 1s. Only boon counter in this game is necro/rev. They really did just give everything warrior ever needed to rev and called it a day.

Functionality is also bad, for example,
Mace & Hammer doesn’t work since HoT provides many other classes almost-perma stability to reaper, tempest, zerker, engi and etc. So those kinda weapons set has no DPS as well as functionality is bad as well.

Id I had sufficient time I’d take a crack at running up to legendary from ruby into legendary. But, you know, purely solo suffers the problem of facing heavy premade presence the higher up you go, and this is a problem every class suffers when you put on the artificial requirement of pure solo play.

Of course enough grinding will get you there eventually, so…. is this really a benchmark worth setting?

kinda, well, many people says that for warrior getting into diamond was maximum as soloq and they also say that they need to be in full premade to get into legendary tier : getting into legendary sounds like imposible for soloq warrior as long as what they say.

Condition1. must in legendary by playing warrior only, or 90% with warrior only.

Condition2. all solo-Queued, or 90% solo-queue.

I don’t recommend doing that (you can if you want), becuz you will get a bunch of perma haters who persistently watch you like stalker, like you see many above. They will disrupt you on every single word and action you does. Sometimes they even make fake & false & untrue statements to achieve their goal. Nope. That doesn’t solve the problem. We all have to confirm if he got succeeded into legendary tier with the build he posted, and he said he will achieve legendary tier only with his warrior to all of us, but not just me, becuz at that time he blamed all people that warrior works totally fine while most people said not. But hopefully he got that tier around now to prove warrior is fine as he said.

well one of current problems is that you cannot make viable DPS except following weapon set : Sword-torch/mace-shield (Does decent DPS only if they are used with berserker mode, core elite of those weapon set still bad tho such as flurry and skullcrack), rifle, and gs/axe-shield.

Any weapon sets not listed above need to be buffed, for example, warrior hammer lacks in DPS (engi hammer has 2.3 times higher DPS than warrior hammer, at same ammy, of course) as well as buffing core elites (non-zerker mode) of all weapon sets.

well if 3 weapon set is confirmed i would choose weapons that is good at either one of defensive/mobility/dps tho, to be prepares to every situation i would get. And i think this kinda way how you equip which weapons from many selections would actually gonna be funny. In this theory dev need to actually rebalnce weapon sets based on many situtation whay kinda the specific weapon set is in need and maximize the weapon’s effectivenesss in such a situation and fast hand with ability to access to triple weapob set would allow us maxizing the effectiveness of weapon set based on specific situation we would have.

I still am very suspicious on war buff news, in fact, it just sounds like not funny but boring even tho it is stronger, due to losing active play through fast-hand but encouraging passive play using one weapon set longer.

it is dissapointing news to me. Of course, war will be bit more powerful as long as it says buffing but i predict, it will become too easy and too simply to play. Even now is pretty simple tho, which means it’s not funny to play game regardless of how it works well or not.

Why not just allow only one weapon set and make its cd like only 2sec? To be easiest. In that case i would only equip gs and only whirldwind attack tho.

I can accept no Fast Hands baseline, heck I could even support it being removed, if the devs are willing to make significant changes to weapon skills. I’m kinda afraid that these changes will involve making them easier to use and will just make Warrior even simpler to play. For example, currently engi hammer skills from 1to5 has approximately 2.3 times higher dmg than warrior hammer skills from same 1to5 at same ammy. Hope you buff warrior dps based upon this theory, or similar theory.

And war need sustain, especially resistence due to too many random blind stuffs and this resistence could be triggered easily by using a skill of stance/shout/rage and all others plus more shout heal or generic heal skills, since celestial druid can heal support more than cleric or settler shout warrior, which makes nonsense becuz cele heal support >>> settler/cleric heal support.

I get that Tarcis is usually the one making the builds for the warrior community, but you’re overestimating the effect he has as he leaves the community. He’s not taking the meta with him; the meta battle website that you consider was a problem is still going to be up. Players will find the meta themselves. There’s a large quantity of warrior players who are devoted to the class that are most likely more than willing to find a strong build, be it meta or not.

Other than meta, give me a few other reasons how he influenced 100+ people.

You didn’t give an example as to how he influenced 100+ people, rather, I gave one for you.

I’m arguing with a guy that believed meta battle was the bigger problem as it “attracted newer players to the meta” (paraphrasing) which in turn causes the community to become toxic (as opposed to the fact that ArenaNet is struggling to find balance in classes).

Tarcis is just one example. losing people from 2000+ level to 500~800 level means there is absolutely someone who had 100+ viewers who almost quit the game.

I remember, viewer numbers of Smite and Gw2 was similar before Gw2 expansion released few month ago, like gw2 had around 2000 viewers and smite had around 3000 viewers few months ago.

Let me provide my overall perspective on this game.

This is not actually Guildwars 2 to me, it more sounds like Buildwars 2. (sorry anet, but i had to say this)

This means, build determines more than 50%+ on his/her win. rest 50% depends on many other factors such as personal skills, rotation skills and etc…

Here is my point.
If we share the build that openly like right now, i am pretty sure that fundamental 50% win ratio for a person will be always exist, simply becuz it is build wars 2 that rely on its build too much rather than his own skills.

And you guys also blames dev for 50% win ratios basis here while sharing top-notch builds yourselves -.-… (like, https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/pvp/50-50-w-l-ratio/)

OP, I sympathize with your goal, but killing Metabattle will not promote build diversity, unfortunately. Data aggregate sites like Metabattle emerge as a response to the needs of the player base, and in order to bring about the kind of build diversity you (and many others) are looking for, changes need to be made to the game on a fundamental design level. Only then will player behavior change. Anything less than design-level changes and you are only touching the effect, not the cause, of build homogenization.

There are two main driving factors that contribute to the current homogenization of builds. The first is the increased competitive attitude in the player community brought about by the new league system, the second is the gradual streamlining of the build system through the removal of amulet gems and the recent traitline revamp. Combine the two and you have a community that identifies apex builds much faster and more accurately than before within a trait and amulet system that allows for much less diversity than before.

When talking about build diversity in tPvP we have to remember that GW2 is limited from the get-go by the conquest game type, which promotes certain archetypal builds. As long as our main competitive game type involves capture point contention, we are going to see builds that excel at standing on a node, as well as builds that try to counter bunkers through a combination of DPS, CC or mobility. In a way, we are already working within a limiting framework. Add to that a conscious design decision by Anet to streamline amulets and traits, probably justified by them trying to make their own job of balancing easier, and we end up with our current post-HoT setup that is a far cry from the original 30-30-10 trait system in terms of potential build diversity, not to even mention the vast complexity afforded by GW1.

My two cents? With ESL money and the league ladder, the competitive landscape will only become more severe. Competitive players want to win and will gravitate towards apex builds more aggressively than before. Playing troll builds for funzies is a thing of the past reserved for unranked and drunken Saturday night Twitch streams. This behavior will trickle down to regular-Joe ranked queues, as even nubsy-pubsy PvPers get sand in their privates for losing pips because of team mates running non-optimal builds. Build diversity will diminish as the stakes become higher. If Anet want build diversity (and this is a big if, because it’s not a given that they do), they have their work cut out on the PvP systems design side of things. My guess is that the player base and Anet will always disagree on the sweet spot of viable builds, with one side severely struggling to balance the existing situation and the other side always clamoring for more.

i’ve gone back to Diablo 2 (last Patch 1.13c was released on 23 March 2010)
i’d say there are many questionable setups, but it’s the heaven of balance compared to gw2
also i’m having more fun on a game released in 2000 than on gw2! :’) this should indicate something imo!

alright then it sounds like you guys rather want to blame and claim everyday, every night and forever. I know Metabattle.com doesn’t need to be deleted, but we also know that abusing meta like that is the also the result right now becuz of too easy to be shared.

i just told one possible solution to prevent this kinda painful experience by reducing sharaing op build stuffs from more original way. It is not even my business tho haha

But it is also result we see now is that, every people find working build so fast, every people abusing it, only balming devs thus makes dev like madly super hasty in making new patch and patch again. but unfortunately they sometimes makes patch that makes situation even worse becuz of hasty. And also, forum becomes like a place to make angry stuffs only, rather than becoming far away from harmonized good atmosphere forum.

i see no problem in theory like that. Becuz that is their level, and not only me but every people will have same agony. Thus it is still equalized.

Actually, not just warrior, but the whole game pvp mechanic now is all broken and super boring as kitten than ever. (and now it even became buy2win game, due to HoT expansion)

That is why i quit this game as soon as hot expansion released, and now, just like I expected and predicted, i see that this game is suffering like hell than ever from everybody, not just warrior or myself, as well as its twitch viewer number decrease by almost 50%+ if you read pvp forum section.

Hope anet just roll everyrhing back to patch before HoT expansion. And take their time to slove all the problem. or give us real decent well-designed esport-oriented patch. So everybody can come back to normal and restore its twitch viewer numbers as well.
