Nope. Warrior need complete remake from trait, utility, weapon sets and its action level, the lowest part. For example, engi hammer dmg has 2.3 times higher than warrior’s hammer dmg at same ammy as well as they are able to block, stun and evwn reflect. As for trait, Warrior has too many dependencies that is forced to choose, such as discipline line, in its trait right now.

But what Tarcis said is brilliant idea as well. But I guess that will not make warrior anymore easy to play tho.

I think they should just sell the company before the ship goes down, perhaps a fresh start with competent management may save this game. Look at what professional sports teams do when they mess up season after season. The coach usually gets fired first as most of the responsibility is his to rally the troops and get them to follow a plan. If the plan is flawed from the get go, the general manager will get fired. This is one of many ways how supporter class could be designed.

Since the game is not RTS but 3rd person camera view, the most exciting for the twitch viewer is mostly about watching dueling between famous players that can be happened in capture point.

Thus most of classes should be kill-able to make its game funnier to viewers, not like current un-killable metas.

This is why i mentioned why anet need to start from deleting celestial ammy first.

The one of most problems for warrior is that they cannot land their skills due to so mamy random factors such as slow, blindness and perma dodge stuffs.

If you allowed him to inflict all those 30000 dmg upon you, that is your fault who don’t know how to dodge ingame’s most telegraphed action skills that warrior performs, but it doesn’t mean that warrior is any good. It is just your fault.

There are lots of good suggestion on how to buff/improve warrior in this game. So far my favorite one on how to buff warrior sustain is to make all the stance skills become F3-F4-F5 (Endure Pain, Balance Stance, Berserker Stance). This change is perfectly fit for the core warrior. Trust me, this won’t be overpowered. Yet, you still need to buff warrior’s healing skills, because all of them are beyond useless.

Now, I’m going to talk about an idea of how to rework Warrior Specialization (Berserk).
If we look at the description of warrior in GuildWars2.com, we can see warrior as “master of weaponry”. Now take a look at warrior, are we the master of weaponry? Nope, not even close.

So, instead of giving us a useless Berserk Mode F2 and all those useless primal burst skills, please give us a 3rd weapon access (New F2). Imagine a warrior with 3 different weapon sets combination? We don’t need fast hand baseline anymore. Now this is call “Master of Weaponry”. This fits the warrior style, fits the description, fit the title of Berserk, and also a kitten cool way to buff warrior specialization.

If you look at other classes, you will find out that warrior has the least skills to use. Engi has kits, F1~F5, Nerco has DS/RS, Ele has 4 attunement(20 skills!?), Mesmer has F1~F5, Guardian has F1~F3, Ranger has 2 pets that have different skills, Revenant has 2 legends that all the utility skills are spammable.

I have no idea how you guys going to buff warriors, but I do see its a must need in future patch. I know rework requires a lot of works so all these suggestions are just for fun actually. BUT, there are so many suggestions on the forum, just pick one, and work on it.

Last soloq -match I had 1v1 against zan on my druid which I’ve won. Thinking that things like that would make you top tier is pathetic.

Nah, you should duel same class as your opponent. And also you don’t even need to go tourney but rather simply call each of those top players, and beat as their main class, showing that you’re best at his main class. This is my standard to become top at specific class. Becuz they literally cannot bother you since you can beat him :p

Dueling should determine everything about personal capability. For the whole environment of the game and for the title of top position.

More specifically, dueling should determine each person’s personal position, while team pvp like ESL stuffs should determine positions of his/her guilds, but not each person.

Thus the legendary title like, “Top Warrior NA” should not be related to, or cannot be achived by, going ESL meta team arena. But, it can only be settled down, and can only be obtained by only dueling, which risks one’s personal own pride, and also which is much more precious thing than money/gold stuffs.

You base your no.1 title on words that carry out uncertainty that sound like you did not consistently beat the other “top” warriors or convincingly enough to call yourself top warrior, beating anyone is hardly a fair test to even state you are anywhere near the best. Now I personally don’t know who you are, but from the Warrior forums you have some good ideas in builds, loved the Torch build and I have a great deal of respect towards you, but this does not give you claim that you have created those builds, I have seen shoutbows being used even in 2013 which is before your Feb 2014 claim, but regardless and on a final note, a King does not state that he is the King, people know that already.

I’m mystic dragon, i do just fine in pvp. I’ve been in T1 nearly my entire gw2 life, and have over 1k levels in it. I’m not some amateur. I’ve long time mained an engi, so my mechanics are sound. I have also done quite well in the raids, finishing the first wing. I guess that makes me poor skilled, too. And for the uplevel, i only have 8 characters, theyre all 80, and 4 of them are ascended.

Not to sound rude, but you just sound like maybe you’re bad at the class and dont know how to properly play the game in pvp, or wvw.

I am in emerald tear and today i got 10 rounds that are all solo-queued with warrior only, and the result was 9 win 1 lose so maybe you can use this build. I know it is just lucky today, but it has averagely 60%++ winrate when all solo-queued with this build.

Be sure that the build is not good at 1vs1 (after HoT expansion only, however, actually all war build sucks at 1vs1 currently after HoT expansion), but very good at team fight since you can heal and CC bunch. It is recommended that you rotate with your teammate usually since you have no dmg but CC to lockdown enemy. It is full support build. (Currently no single build of warrior can pwn any other metas of other classes when both 2 has skilled at their profession equally, thus, there is no point of running build that can kill people by lowering your sustain but just lockdown to aid your teammates + heal support. You just fully focus on teamfight)

Nope. Since pvper in higher tier can be able to match against you, and probably you don’t have good team to play with since no decent team want beginners, thus hell no. Don’t ever try pvp before you get mad. or play only custom arena.

There are tons of other MMOs offering you 1vs1 duel or soloq. Quitting game will only change dev’s mind, I believe.

I believe there’s an anet dev named Nightmare who plays shoutbow occasionally in pvp. I was in a queue with him and grouch shortly after HoT release, but I haven’t him since. Also he was getting chilled to death by a condi reaper while attempting to bunker home if that’s any indication of the current state of warriors.

It was like 2 months ago and he was with Anas Tatcis as premade team. He was dueling me and at the near end of time he got almost pwned by me, Tarcis came to rescue him from me and said him to leave to duel me to make him alive by running away. (i even have video recorded about it, but i won’t release it cuz it is too sensitive)

But he didn’t leave from duel even tho Tarcis said leave, thus his premade team lost to my team. I guess he was kinda upset, but I can evaluate and value his personality for his pride. Even tho he lost, but he was man, the real dude. Right?

Anyway, the point what i can guess and infer from this perspective and commumication that Nightmare and Anas Tarcis did each other is that, if he is real dev, he probly do not support other anet devs to buff war, simply becuz he is very friendly to Anas Tarcis, and the most problem is that Anas Tarcis have already ditched warrior, but play Revnant instead. Thus there is like no reason to support warrior for him since Tarcis ditched it already (be sure that this is just my assumption).

This is all i can say. Like we have no future.

Nobody should be losing a 1v1 to Warriors. If they do, they’re bad. Period. A lucky Rampage is still devastating in a team fight, but a Zerker/Marauder Warrior is still weak outside of it. Has been for years now.

So, yeah, you can still kill terrible players, but I’d argue that even a medium-level Scrapper, Chrono, Herald or Druid will tear any Warrior apart in a straight 1v1 and be leagues ahead in team fights, because DPS Warriors provide zero utility to their teams.

Hi. I can make following result against to each classes listed below (after HoT expansion). Assume that build I used is Crusader Banner Shout :

1. DH : Mostly win, or draw if DH play defensively usually within his traps
2. rev : Mostly lose, or Sometimes win.
3. Reaper : sometimes win, sometimes lose. 50:50
4. druid : mostly lose (but takes huge time), or draw
5. Scrapper : sometimes lose, sometimes draw. Hard to win.
6. Slow mes, condi mes : mostly draw.

(be sure that this statistics is based on dueling again tpvp meta players on esl)

If I use Cleric Banner Shout, I don’t lose to them all but I cannot kill them all too.

Assume that I was able to pwn, or 100% sustain against, every jobs of every classes with crusader banner shout before HoT, only except sustaining build like DD cele ele, but now warrior is weakest class and this is all the result I can make after HoT.

Thus yeah, with that poor resul after HoT as compared to how it used to be before HoT, HoT expansion was huge nerf to me and warriors :p

Whatever build you use above, you will not get decent winrate as it was before the HoT expansion since other classes got buffed too much.

My last recommendation is that, just don’t play warrior for now if it is possible. Warrior now need just very strong buff and also I am not going to advertise above builds unless warrior get somehow buffed in the future. Warrior is almost un-playable in high-tier meta tpvp due to tons of random blocks, random evading attacks, random slow, random CC, random conversion from dmg to heal, random dodge, random invisible traps, random blinds, lacking in damage and etc. They are the real factors that make warrior almost unplayble right now.

I rather want to recommend playing one of followings if you can : druid, rev, Dragon Hunter. They were strongest from my feeling since fought a lot against them.

After expension, I do not recommend playing warrior for both pvp and wvw until anet buff it. -_-;

You will see some people will say To you that “ohh sword torch mace berserker build works! Full burn build wow!!!”, Or, “ohh gunflame works! moveable killshot OP!” , But they are all false. (they works normally against normal people, but will not work in high tier meta tpvp against decent people)

Thus i basically don’t even recommend any warrior build, including what you ask for, which was about gear.

There is nothing i can recommend about warrior, simply becuz it is just weak. And I cannot recommend you playing weakest class as experienced users, right?

For example, Banner Shout was strongest warrior meta with its original crusder ammy across the entire game before HoT that it just doesn’t lose to any jobs of any classes in 1v1 and kill at the end, or 100% sustain was guaranteed if I couldn’t be able to kill. But now, it get rekt if you run crusader amulet with it, so I changed it to Cleric amulet. Thus, it will not basically be able to kill as good as it was before.

Warrior is in weakest position right now, all I can say is that only Cleric Banner Shout will somehow be able to sustain from all of other buffed classes at almost 90% probability.

Thus, among above builds:
1. Cleric Banner Shout – somehow useable
2. ShoutBow – somehow useable, but you will sometimes get rekt more frequently than using Banner Shout in 1v1 situation.

To anwer your question,
1. Build is posted in its main thread at top. Check google presentation to find its builds.

2. Nope. I tested all of them, but they all don’t work. Because ShoutBow relies on Sustain/survivality. If you lose any of those trait and put berserker instead, that means its main machenism that how shoutbow works is broken. It just have no sustain nor have powerful damage to kill fast (primal burst from betserker mode doesn’t have that powerful damage to kill very fast with settler ammy)

However, if you really want to merge shoutbow with berserker trait somehow, then i would suggest replacing defense trait with betserker trait, since fast hand and shout is mandatory for shoutbow build. You can watch berserker shoutbow in my twitch link below. Be sure that normal shoutbow works better than berserker shoutbow.

My last recommendation is that, just don’t play warrior for now if it is possible. Warrior now need just very strong buff and also I am not going to advertise above builds unless warrior get somehow buffed in the future. Warrior is almost un-playable in high-tier meta tpvp due to tons of random blocks, random evading attacks, random slow, random CC, random conversion from dmg to heal, random dodge, random invisible traps, random blinds, lacking in damage and etc. They are the real factors that make warrior almost unplayble right now.

I rather want to recommend playing one of followings if you can : druid, rev, Dragon Hunter. They were strongest from my feeling since fought a lot against them.

1. avg dmg : engi hammer = 946.2>>> Warrior hammer = 430 (2.2 times higher)
2. avg CD time : engi CD time = 12.1s > warrior CD time 14.9s (2.8s faster than avg CD time of Warrior)

WARRIOR IS DEAD!

Warrior is dead. I mostly enjoy chat rather than fight in every matchs. I do participate. But when the score gap between them goes higher than 150+ i usually stop figjting but just chat and enjoy Chat Wars 2 life and this is what online game meant for.. Lol (and there is no /resign)

Of course, I still play warrio too. And of course, you can still play warrior too, since the game is designed to be team play. It means your team mates all lose but not just you alone. Since you have companies to lose all together with, you probably won’t feel that lonliness for losing match.

DH is very good, they set traps for close fight, or use longbow for ranged fight. In either way, they are strong.

reapers are very strong in close 1vs1 fight. You may need mobility against them.

i saw somebody saying metabattle.com has actually killed gw2 by giving all the people decent build.

I will not ditch warrior like Tarcis or Crysis or ROM did… my soul should lies in warrior.. so i should do like them…

idk, i will be doing this until anet buff warrior back, otherwise i will make every team who meets me lose every match when they meet me. haha.
