Can we please lower the cost of a paid tournament to 3 tickets? Or something like that. For a more casual player who wants to test themselves at a higher level it is just NOT feasible to grind for four hours in order to play one TPvP game….

(and no I don’t want to buy them on the online shop)

They need to sort out a better ranked system. Otherwise it is just another grind just like any other MMO….

I feel that Necromancer and Thief at the moment are in the Very Strong Category. Especially Necromancer. The Meta of the game at the moment being focussed on AoE winning the day has to put them close to the most powerful at this time…

I had great fun playing on my thief. It is built for lots of stealth and regen health whilst in stealth. Almost impossible to kill and really messes people up in SPvP when they assume they should focus the thief in a team fight!

dagger storm is interupted by level up becouse my charracter will make the “lvl up animation”. ofc im happy that i lvled but dagger storm being interupted is anoying for a 90 sec cd skill. especially when you need that skill to stay alive.

I tryed a lot of different builds recently, especially with the now better working pet in mind.
I had a great deal of fun and success with both builds!
They focus on Power+Crits with a good deal of survivability. In fact, you can easily fight 2 enemies at once, shred bunker builds into pieces and show those almighty thiefs who’s the real king of the jungle!

SW/Axe + Axe/WH

Focuses on heavy crits and evades while also being a forgivable build due to high survivability.
Axe in the offhand is an awesome weapon and can be used defensively for blocking arrows or agressively by stacking vulnerability like a mad lumberjack!

The wolve is your best friend with his super CC abilities and his decent damage output.
Since pets better hit moving targets quickening zephyr lets your pet also rampage like it should.
Muddy terain and a lot of cripple/freeze from your weapon sets result in great synergy between you and your pet.
Try it – love it.

SB + SW/Axe
Hybrid Survivability Powerbuild with Petfocus aka the “1vX Build” (tested ^^)

This build offers even more survivability and movement while utilising the pet even more.
You can kite your enemies while dealing loads of damage from attacks, bleeds and your pet.
Again, Wolve is your main pet, but switching to jaguar with QZ+ Sick’em while constantly crippling your enemy will melt their faces in seconds.

I tryed both builds in sPvP and tPvP aswell as WvWvW.
They are really fun to play in every situation.

Note: there is no perfect build, so these builds will have some enemies being stronger against you. While encountering different players in WvWvW i often switched the last wilderness survival trait for condition removal or damage reduction under 30% and also sometimes using Signet of Renewal as 3rd utility skill.

If you don’t switch utilites in matches, dont blame the build for being melted by either condition or powerbuilds.
It’s your responsibility to analyse the enemy team and take countermeasures!

I’d love to read your critics after you tested those builds!

downstate nr3 doesn´t work, pet is just coming to me doing nothing most of the times.

search and rescue is not working at all.

pet does not attack after using the shout: Guard! especially after it died

pet can´t follow people jumping up/down somewhere and walks all way around the clocktower doing nothing for 30 seconds… it should track the enemies path to follow correctly in pvp.

when you send the pet to attack someone and the pet loses its target it´s running back with super sonic speed so i have to wait send it in again and have to wait 10 seconds before its doing something useful again.

pets condition damage is really poor in pvp compared to their direct damage and compared to other players.

Whirlfinisher with axe offhand in my healing spring is spreading healing bolts but they dont heal anyone, tried it multiple times in a controled environment with friends.

Thought they fixed search and rescue and buffed the speed on it?

Blink is amazing to get out of crazy burst (Warrior HB, Thief HS etc etc). Wouldn’t let any mesmers in guild leave home without it!

This lack of speed has been compounded by the fact that you can no longer weapon swap in SPvP. Which is a pain for our Bunker guardians!

RF is a great great tool. It gets you out of serious DPS and is far more useable than the tomes. As well as being on a short cooldown. It’s like Endure Pain for Warriors but with a lot more upsides!

I got hit by this build when I was dueling a mate of mine who runs a Guardian. So very powerful in 1v1! Not as much use in a group fight, but still fun.

There is nothing more valuable IMO than a good Bunker guardian with a CC heavy build. Amazing in team fights, great for holding points. A boon for any SPvP team.

@donttread.9304 I strongly recommend you a naga mouse, I use 1,2,3 q(for 4),e(for 5) the key to left of one for the 6.
Then with the naga mouse, I use 1 for f1, 2 for f2, 3 for f3 and ctrl+1 for f4
For 7, 8, 9 and 10 I use the naga too.

I second this. Until GW2 I only used a normal mouse. The one I have now only has 3 extra buttons but they have changed the way I play completely. Well worth the small outlay in costs.

Good necro cannot be beaten by ele most common bunker multiboon traditional builds, not a chance on a million not a player on this earth :p

There is only a way to beat the good necro using ele, i am not going to disclose it here so you will have some fun trying to identify it, that is if you want use your time in doing it

I’d say the opposite… with the good condition removal on an Ele a good necro wouldnt be able to beat a good ele….

So OP what’s the details of this! I’m interested to see what you had to stack to get this. Food + 25 might + 25 stacks from a Sigil? With intelligence for auto crit and 70% crit damage?

Thanks for noticing that! Have changed it now. Meant to be Berserkers as there is no condi damage in the entire build!

Works well in hotjoin but is meant to be a viable option in TPvP as frankly HB warrior is useless as good players know how to avoid it.
