Hi! I am “The Korean Knight” whom vincecontix.1264 above mentioned.
This is my WvW version of duel ranged warrior build that I used in sPvP ranked arena before (I used celestial amulet instead, because anet doesnt release zealot amulet for pvp)
I am pretty sure this is best rifle build if you forcefully push yourself to use the Warrior’s weakest weapon, Rifle. Always like and greet people like you trying to struggle with hardships, just put celestial amulet in PvP mode since there isnt zealot amulet in PvP. Here we go.
If you use Rifle/ longbow, you have to go shout line becuase there isn’t a good way to make Killshot hit correctly without Fear me combo. Killshot will be missed mostly if you don’t make any combo with it (it is easiest to be dodged) And also you have to go shout line to supplement endurance by shout heal since duel ranged seem very reckless. And you have to know how to pick out enemy’s critical skill, such as eviscerate and earth quake, and dodge it cuz you have no vigor recharge : you can’t random dodge. This requires Warrior’s the most experience.
I will tell you the trick I used for this build.
Since you are duel ranged, you are not good at close fight.
Therefore, you gotta use Longbow’s elite skill, Combustive shot, to make your protective field that you stay in while you uses rifle. Then your enemy won’t get close to you while you are in rifle mode. And its duration, Combustive shot, is 9 sec. Most of Warrior have -5 sec decreased weapon swap time. So you can cover, or protect, yourself with this burning area for 9 sec, which is enough time to use rifle and get back to longbow. Longbow is kinda strong weapon in close fight even though it is ranged weapon. If enemy doesn’t come to close cuz you stay in burning area? no worry, you are full ranged war ranger, just keep shooting at him lolBe sure, I have dueled a lot of people with this build. The natural enemy of this build is thief. Frankly, I mostly win thief, they just knock out when my killshot hit and volley followed. However, there is exception. Dodge spam thief like, Magic Toker the one in Abjured The World Champion Level, he did beat me while I used this build, very close though. (I only lost to thief who are at Magic Toker level with this duel ranged build) He kept losing to me at first few rounds, but later, he found the WAY to deal with this rifle / longbow build as world champion-class decent thief, so he won me later rounds. Anyway, I removed this build from my twitch for that weak point but I will re-post it if anet would buff rifle by any chance. (rifle itself as of now is too weak, and Anet even nerfed rifle by removing bleed. every1 want it buffed in the future, right? i hope anet would put back some cond dmg like bleed just like before into rifle to make perfect set with cele amulet and decrease killshot cast time. I don;t think it will happens though) Well, You will mostly win thief with this build anyway unless he is dodge spam thief with many reflection skill.
But I think it is ok. the thief I lost to with this build is world best champion level thief anyway. And also, Arenanet made rifle too sucks and even nerfed. I did my best.
Always don’t waste Rifle’s 2nd and 5th skill. when some1 got close to you, use 5th rifle skill then 2nd skill after pushing him back.
This build is very strong against Engi or necro since it is full ranged, but, very weak against full melee type like thief or meditation gs/sword-focus guardian. But you can still win if you get to master level of this duel ranged build.

Duel ranged warrior uses this feature a lot cuz you will have to deal with “run and hit” tactics. Luckily, you can use 3th and elite skill of longbow to backside even though you running front but camera looking backside by pressing that key you bound. (watch http://www.twitch.tv/the_korean_gamer/c/5666048 to know how to do this trick) You can use this trick not only with Longbow but with hammer though : make yourself look like running away but hit all of sudden.

I already use the StoneCleaver Bow, i dont have yet an ascended GS, and im not in the mood to spend time crafting it, i think im gonna get the sword for dual sword use.
I just got a WupWup weapon chest, I use the celestial build GS/Bow, but now i dont know if i should get the Celestial GS… i dont think it will be good…
I mean, as a direct dmg weapon, Zerk GS is better right?

Add a feature that allows guilds or a X numbers of players from other servers to “invade” a server to a “specific” map (could be random from time to time) warning players about that, so pver’s avoid going there and by that making the game have REAL OPEN PvP!
While it is an interesting idea, injecting PvP into a specifically PvE map is not something that everyone will enjoy. Just imagine… you’re about to finish map completion on Frostgorge Sound. Warning! PvPers have entered the map! There is one last POI that you need to get, better hurry! However, just before reaching it, you get ganked by someone from server X. And then, to your horror, every time you take more than twenty steps away from the nearest waypoint another player from server Y ganks you. This endless cycle of waypoint camping frustrates you to no end and you either ragequit, or waste time fighting them off when all you really wanted to do was complete the dang map.
This is an issue that already affects map completion (for diehard PvE players) because of the mandatory requirements to explore the Eternal Battlegrounds, and the three Borderlands. Forcing PvE players into a situation where they are faced by unwanted gangrayp will be more than frustrating to many, and is most definitely not the answer ever, in my humble opinion. Preemptive warning or not, it will be very inconvenient. Sure, you’ll get more PvEers involved in your little map wars – if for a little while – but at the same time it is at the expense of others… that’s my two cents.
I get it, one thing i imagine Anet should “work” on it, and i really dont understand why they didnt yet, is making the Mists like Tyria, all Spvp maps, WvW and Edge is in there, why not put all together like Tyria? So PvP’ers could have a content similar to PvE world…
PvP content in GW2 is very poor in comparison to PvE, WvW and Spvp get boring really really quick… while Tyria has all the large and diff environment.

Here what i think it should happen…
Tengu come out of their walls as the new playable race, Charr and Humans falling out and come into war again, Caithe’s doings and other conflicts start annoying Norn and Asura making them ally with Charr, left to Sylvaris and Humans stand together with the help of Tengu.
That, would bring very interesting things to the game!

Dual swords and LB.
Zerker is better, with a mix of cavalier’s in there.
Celestial just isn’t very useful for a Gs/Axe build. It has no condition damage so that is a wasted stat. Gs/Axe builds are all about burst, so on average you lose out on alot of critical damage and power. Healing Power is also a wasted stat because it scales with nothing else besides Healing Signet and a very limited Adrenal Health/Regeneration boon
Celestial is only really good for classes whose builds have a fairly decent amount of condition application (especially burns) and whose skills scale decently with power. And to a lesser degree, have multiple sources of healing.
For example the reason why it works well for D/D Elementalists and Rifle Engineers is that both of them have decent power scaling on their abilities, good condition application (including burns) and multiple sources of healing. D/D Elementalists quite obviously have alot of healing sources, while Rifle Engineers have amazing access to regeneration through Healing Turret and also have Backpack Regenerator. They also work decently for AxeBow, Hambow or SwordBow Warriors, but I don’t think to the effectiveness of the two builds mentioned above.

I’ve been using GS / AxeShield for wvw roaming, duels and group fights, but im in doubt about being Zerk or Celestial, i have both, tried both, but still can’t decide.
You guys think Celestial would be “safer” than Zerk?
Using Bow and Rifle, you guys think a pure ranged warrior would be viable for pvp?

Yes, i know this sounds crazy, but i think LA would turn into a really cool PvP Map inside Tyria, and don’t come on me with "there are already the Mysts (WvW/Spvp), this is not enought, PvE content is way higher in this game.
Not sure about the need on new skills, but, weapons and PvP Stuff… yeah! we need new pvp content!

The most recent stories have been far better than LS1 or Personal Story.
You can definitely tell that the writers for GW2 are not the same writers A-Net had for GW. The stories in GW were just written much better. I think the writers are even different when you look at the early Personal Story(levels 1-30) and the story once you choose your faction(Priory/Whispers/Vigil).
The most recent chapter has the same story manager as GW1.
I have nothing against woman loving woman or ppl in bathing suits, my statemant is, this game has too many “shiny/gloomy/ kittie things” and less “Gore, Conflict, that Awereness feeling while wandering the world”.
Its everything too “beautiful” and calm, i just can’t see the very DANGER or FEAR, looks like a cartoon story, im sorry., dont get me wrong, i love this game, i love the combat and its mechanics, but as everything can’t be perfect, it seems this game can’t be more “adult” targeted.
Beautiful game, beautiful graphics, beautiful combat, meh story, meh immersion, taking the lesbian kiss/woman sexy bikinis and cloath of the picture, this game may be more attractive to “very young ppl”.

I personnaly like Vengeance a lot, even after loosing the 5sec invulnerability it previously had. But I think it should have 100% chance to rally on kill as base line and Sweet Revenge should just be replaced or advance the duration and effect of Vengeance even further.

This game is going towards a very weird direction, pvp is just insane, classes healing tons and dpsing at the same time, aoes hitting like target single attacks. Yes, this is a Rage post, yes you can have my stuff.
Guess i’ll come back in some months to see if changes dont made this game a dragonball party.

Wow, it seems you dont like a higher challenge, for that, training to be “better”, and not be “bad” enough to fight only 1v1.

The issue (needs to be balanced) due to the observation above, in a group situation, downed enemies should not rally when you die under vengeance effect (once others downed their enemies while the nearest warrior was on vengeance).
Vengeance is probably the strongest of the downed state 3 skills.. most 3 skills just have a damaging attack or another delay for 3 seconds. Vengeance you can get up delay the rally for 15 seconds, or stomp an enemy, revive allies, do full bursts to your enemies. It’s good.
For you to say: “Dying from Vengeance shouldn’t rally enemies!” that basically means that using Vengeance completely robs the enemies of getting a rally for defeating you fair and square. And it would remove the logic behind using vengeance properly, as you’d never have to balance the repercussions of using it.

Edit: Having the Rally to enemies happen when the Warrior uses vengeance would be interesting, though. That way it wouldn’t be so lame in downed fights, and the Warrior could actually know if he will possibly rally enemies, rather than the realization happening 10 seconds later that he just screwed his team.
I understand your point, but the problem is the warrior loosing the benefits from capping points, and theres another thing, engs have that sort of rally while downed too, i dont know the name, i know it takes more time than vengeance cd, but they can come out of downed with no death time.

I may need tranining, but whenever i encounter a condi teef (p/d), i always loose… I use Caeds power build, but can’t defeat p/d condi teefs.
Is this normal?
Massive Multiplayer Online games is not an easy job, even single player games has lots of flaws and bugs, ArenaNet actually make a very good job sharpening GW2 as they can, of course, there are some bugs since release, but hey, look at the game we have, the time I start to not have fun anymore with a game, i just stop playing it.
Try this one. The damage is still good but the extra toughness and vitality really give it some survivability. Never met a player/class/build that I couldn’t kill with this. And if you run Hidden Killer don’t bother with any crit chance higher than 40%, most of the damage comes from BS anyway and the strength of the build is that you can stack stats other than precision without really loosing too much damage overall. And seriously don’t waste your time with infiltrators signet, Blinding Powder is so much better in almost every situation.
Is this build good for duel? Or is the Trickery one better?

For structured PvP? Definitely. For some reason cloak and dagger (offhand dagger #5) does only half the damage in pvp than it does in pve/wvw. Also, CnD, the main strength is D/D is weaker because stealth inst as useful in conquest (spvp, controlling points). skills 3,4,5 on d/p are supperior to 3,4,5 on D/D, in pvp.
In WvW, its about even. D/P has more stealth/survivability (because of stealth), while D/D has more damage. (cloak and dagger can crit fro about 4k). I prefer d/p for pvp, d/d for wvw (thoguh d/p is great wvw as well)
What about s/p ?
Was thinking in using d/d and s/p , is that too much crazyness?

How about a massive Map with environment like Tyria Landscape’s? So we feel we really play an MMO that attends ppls desire to do things we can’t in Pve maps? to fight real ppl in really cool places?
Dont say to me that Spvp, WvW and EotM is enough because it isnt, it get boring for most of PvPer’s, its a pitty having this combat system (what in my opinion, in a MMO, its the best), being limited to “mini games”.
I wish i could go back in time and convince devs to make PvP Servers. :/

Play GS/Bow like there were only the weapon options in the game, with time, you will master it, even nerfed, you can win the majority of encounters you will have.
Play to have fun, pretend you’re in a real RPG game, and act the gs warrior you want to be.

Would bolas be better than Bull Rush, since that skill is bugged/doesn’t land properly?
I prefer Bolas, it has a very shorter cooldown, good range, and its not broken with stunbreaker.
Stealth, has a problem that persist in every way in many situations, even in other games. Unfortunately, in Gw2, we have this very annoying issue of the *cast skill on target, follows thro stealth mode/invisibility.
This happens all the time with thieves, rangers, mesmers and engs (i think, not sure about this last one), its been 2 years since launch, they really should look into those “details”, but oh well, there are more concerns that require more emergency. haha :P
About the Swoop, i think it were predicted, im sorry, not saying youre a noob or any L2p issue, but after a time, really good players start to imagine where the stealthed enemy are and hit that spot with their powerful attacks.
Maybe u got bad luck, but, tell us more about your experience in pvp, is always nice to see these stories

So, wandering around LA, to see the details of desctruction i never paid attention before, (love post war landscapes), when getting near the Tengu gate, i saw a cave entrance i never noticed before, not before the scarlet war at least.
I may be delayed, but does someone know why its there? It leads to a dead end, has some torches inside tho… very weird.

If you mean, Prestige by “an existing one in your main/alt” ascending into a different path, like for exemple: “Warrior → Fighter”, “Guardian → Dark Knight” , “Elementalist → Dragon Mage” “Ranger → Arcane Archer”
Ok, i would like to see that, otherwise, creating a prestige class from the character creation and starting at higher lvl with “special skills”, no… that ruins everygame! Successful games killed themselves doing this past years.
Gw2 doesnt need exactly new classes, it needs a new RACE, maybe this race bringing a new class, but please, not a “prestige” one, a normal class, that starts at lvl 1, who knows, with Tengu comming, a class like Monk or Druid would fit very good for the game at the moment, since we’re fighting Mordremoth.
