Exactly, everytime we went Mag BL, nobody was around to defend your keep. We could even take it with just 6 people. Is that what we should expect for “very organized” world as you claimed? And it felt very differently when we went to EBay. Oh..and cry more.

When you do this to us overnight in American time, yeah, that might happen. Kind of like how Ehmry Bay and Maguuma reset all of your upgraded towers in Eternal today because you didn’t defend any of them.

Try fighting them when they are at the top of their transfer game instead of when the ball just starts rolling down there at the bottom.

You call us a zerg server because we can populate 1 battleground at night, but those higher tier servers will have queues on atleast 2 borderlands at once throughout the day.

Uhh, we fought Sea of Sorrows 2.0. I’m sure they bandwagoned since the beginning of 2.0, but not enough to make a difference to a server of our caliber.

I get that part, but at a certain point we become less easy because we’re compressed into so little territory. Doesn’t seem to make a difference, though. The first time I saw CD go after EB was today when we were completely wiped off of our own BL by a massive zerg.

Because they don’t like us…that part is obvious, we just don’t know why CD doesn’t like us. The other borderlands are normally mostly their respective colors anyway. Ours is the warzone of death

Hahaha, that guy has been mistaken as EB and Maguuma now. Poor him. Also, you can’t deny that you have numbers when you have enough to take garrison and east keep on our borderlands en masse at the same time. Not a zerg server? Guess I don’t know what a zerg server is :v

Fighting Crystal Desert for a second week in a row makes WvW not so fun

I suspect there won’t be much of one next week. There were some CD here tonight, but not many, and I was told EB didn’t show much interest either. It helps a lot having a whole guild interested. Most of tonight’s Darkhaven were RE and AoN, for example.

You say “my server” as if Maguuma belongs to or is run by you, which is a ludicrous proposition. Most of the participants from both Darkhaven and Maguuma are some of the most dedicated WvW players on their respective servers, and we are responsible for a great deal of Maguuma’s coordination. If you don’t like the fact that we like to have fun, especially when a match is essentially over, maybe you should move to another server. EB is a good candidate for you. They are all mature gamers too, as you describe your guild.

Until it was attacked by CD the CD server had 4-5 people there (I was one). Once there I wasn’t attacked once, unless I was called out, and I was surrounded by red names. We danced, we laughed, we bowed, and we dueled. Thanx for the event Littlefeather.

Now for those CD attackers….here is the thing. You could have wiped the whole map as many of the “opposing” forces were at one location. Yet you didn’t cap a dang thing and got wiped at least three times. Once you finally pushed through most had left anyway.

I’m not one to judge either way but you should have at least controlled the map and then played the part of party pooper. Ah well….this is why CD can’t have nice things.

Im not at the house right now, but reading this hate on something I created, well sad to hear…

Fight Club is for fun, for people to enjoy the PvP aspect of WvW on a fair and equal ground. It also is good for morale and relations between servers, everyone enjoys it and it is something different.

The points are already laid out for the match, I dont see anything wrong with having some fun on the side. If you choose not to participate thats your call, but no need to ruin the fun that alot of people seem to enjoy ok.

Don’t worry about it, many CDs tonight have been bad sports about fight club tonight. They can’t handle the heat, I guess. There were some cool ones that showed up in my party tonight, glad they came. Sad that the rest of their server aren’t like them!

Oh and don’t worry, you don’t owe us any golems, we just wrecked three of yours just sitting here.

If that’s why you gave up after less than 24 hours, then you are going to lose for sure. Crystal Desert has a massive Asian population.

Oh, I misunderstood. Did you actually try refreshing siege every 10 minutes to see if it would last longer? If so, that’s pretty terrible.

This happens on every patch.

I have personally gotten pretty annoyed with Maguuna this week. I have felt it was a zerg-type server and have yet to fight many players that had a ton of skill. Now, that said I’m playing a GS/scepter/focus ret-noob type guardian, so perhaps “skill” is relative. It’s been a frustrating week after coming over to this server a few weeks back and seeing it make solid gains and feeling like our small guilds were making a decent impact. This week I’ve felt we were swimming upstream every map we go to.

Isn’t the point of WvW that individual skill doesn’t matter as much?

Rabh, we may end up fighting again sooner than you think unless Maguuma can pull out a substantial lead against Crystal Desert and Darkhaven. Ehmry Bay is fighitng Henge of Denravi which is in the same free fall situation as Eredon Terrace, meaning our rating will only go up even if we lose to Dragonbrand.

I think he was saying the same thing as you, in two matches. You are probably not fighting us again next week at this point.

We have fought Crystal Desert before. I think it was two 24h matches where we won once and got stomped once, but I can’t really remember anymore.

We did give up first. I got kicked out of Mumble while I was at work because we were reaching our capacity, but by the time I got home, we lost Stonemist and 100 people in Mumble. There are a lot of us that are dedicated to WvW no matter what, but PUGs give up pretty fast sometimes. There are people that only enjoy WvW when we’re winning, for whatever reason.

Also, if you look at the pie charts from Friday, they’re pretty sad.

We are very well aware of our morale problems, having suffered them every week, but thanks. This is why we are super thankful for new, dedicated guilds like FINE, which don’t quit after losing Stonemist an hour into the match. But no, we aren’t scared…we’re actually pretty used to it.

It seems really weird that people think there’s some sort of formal protocol for transferring servers. I was unaware that posting scores was so unacceptable and controversial.

Actually, the original post very much said “exploit”, which is usually interpreted quite negatively in the gaming world. Nobody wants to have that word associated with them.

Didn’t seem negative to me at all, but maybe I am reading it wrong.

It sounded like Shadowmoon was another guild with a ton of thieves in it, too. But yeah, I think these guilds skew our perception of how many thieves EB has.

On day one you had more than enough players to kick our kitten and it was a great fight. Where are they now?

It’s hardly our fault your side has decided to stop turning up, is it? We were losing by 20k points, we came out in force and fought for our honour. Where was your response when we went 20k ahead of you in the middle of US day time on a weekend? Why didn’t you claw back your lead with the massive organised offensive you showed on day one??

Being outnumbered has nothing to do with it. You’re only outnumbered because half your guilds are only interested in playing if they’re already winning. Fix that and you’ll have plenty of numbers to take us on.

Come give us a challenge, it’s more fun for everyone that way.

Props to all the EBayers who’re putting up a good fight rather than making up excuses. We’ve seen some absolutely fantastic tactics from you guys, from dedicated thief teams taking out heavily escorted yaks to back door mesmer portals while we’re all focussed on a different wall being down. I hope you fix your morale problems because there’s some serious talent on this server.

No offense dude, but some of EB had no problems with this being a 1v1 match when you were winning. I do sympathize with fallen morale because nearly every server suffers from it, but you guys seemed to give up a lot earlier solely because of the nightcap.

Hats off to the EB that keep fighting without grumbling and to TTD for organizing the most intense, fun fight I’ve had in a long time in WvW.

We absolutely do look forward to having FINE on our server. I don’t see why their transfer time is of any relevance. It takes time to make a decision, to gather the opinions of everyone in your guild. As for the other questions, I think they’re equally irrelevant and can flip them back to KISS. Gunnar’s Hold is also in last place by more than 10k. Does that matter? No. Quit being so judgmental on a guild you hardly know. Accept that transfers happen and that your server also got a huge transfer that absolutely helps your time zone coverage and be happy.

Why are you guys hating on a guild that transferred to our server? Do you similarly hate KISS, who transferred to your server and has given great benefit to your server this week? FINE met with us before they transferred, and they could tell the difference between our server and theirs. It doesn’t take three days to see that, it takes one. Please refrain from these sorts of ad hominem attacks.

Can’t help with non WvW stuff, but HKHS actively recruits people for WvW in Maguuma. You’d have to talk to them to see if they do other stuff. Dunno their leader’s name, but Seregdae is the commander I see most often. There are plenty of other WvW oriented guilds, but HKHS is most vocal about advertising.

He’s not disputing the fact that we have more points because of nightcapping. He’s just saying if you think we have a ton of oceanic guilds/players then you are sorely mistaken. You are the only server we’ve been able to do this to so far.

Yeah, it’s really a perception thing, honestly. We’ve made the same complaints before and received the same response…we just happen to be on the other side of it now.

When it comes to Maguuma on the other hand I have nothing against the server as a whole, rather I feel sorry for them having to deal with Goon Squad who always lives up to the bad reputation they’ve earned across numerous games for many years now :\

The only reason you should feel sorry for Maguuma is because of the people who incessantly pile on hatred for [GOON] and lump other people in with them. Like I said before, many people have played with us on Maguuma and don’t have anything bad to say about us.

Let’s be fair, taking pictures of someone inside a keep and then outside of a keep mean nothing. Though nobody should be publicly trying to humiliate servers or guilds for hacking anyway.

They did that yesterday for awhile, too. Glad to see it happen earlier in the day.

Impossible? hardly. I can say the same from this single screenshot you expect, especially with your attitude and reputation, what is stopping you from claiming it was someone from another goon guild. But hey, reputation is everything, and your guild has a very bad rap, so that leads to very justifiable expectations as well.

Explain to me how you would simultaneously count the number of players on each server in a map at any given time. And nice try, trying to pin the lack of screenshot on my “attitude.” Maybe my attitude arises from the fact that I’ve seen tons of accusations against our guild, but I’ve never seen a screenshot with a [GOON] tag that said “The Goon Squad” or with any of our other guild names presented as evidence to “hacking.” Your perception of us comes from a hilariously distorted view. There are plenty of people on our Mumble that would agree that most of us are fun to play with and they should rightly take offense at your rude generalizations of our server. I doubt anyone from our guild could ever change your mind on this subject though, so I’ll just stop there.

PYRO and EVOH rock, wish we had them in Mumble more. Haven’t played with FINE (or StS) too much yet, but looking forward to it!

There is nothing awesome about a match decided by night capping. Another night of this and we will have a dead match score wise for a whole week. A bit disappointing

Look, he had nothing bad to say about your server. He said nothing about night capping or about how we were winning. It was completely about how you guys stomped us on Friday. Your response was unimpressive and insulting. If you want to know why many people from Maguuma think you guys complain a lot, look no further than a mirror.
