First time we did it, we killed subject 7 then did the west collider. After we killed the final boss no cutscene started and we didnt get ported to the room with the chest. It bugged somehow.
We repeated it and did both colliders and ignored subject 7 and it worked properly after that. Although after the end conversation with kiel and dessa i didnt get the xp reward chest or the leave instance button pop up like I saw on some playthroughs. The reward triggers seem to very buggy.
Why are you even bringing that up though? The 80 duo has way more reflects and doesnt have to deal with melee attacks. Its impressive because of how dangerous those elementals are at 80, but the way you dealt with them wasnt really that impressive. I find it boring to watch ranged kills no matter how difficult the fight is.
The joys of having a buggy condition for our main source of control.
The dagger build is fine for fractals especially as mobs have been nerfed so condition aoe isnt as useful anymore. Just keep in mind that you may want to use a scepter sometimes with my build for extra aoe and possibly an offhand dagger with it. And take extra wells when needed. It can be adapted quite easily for whatever you need. You dont need to switch to condi gear to take advantage of necros condi aoe, with might stacks the bleed damage is pretty respectable and you keep your much higher base damage.

39? Exploding elementals?
I just proved with maths that axe auto and mace 5 are better for aoe than axe offhand. Mobs being behind you is not an issue because you can rotate your character to always be hitting 3-5 mobs with every attack. Which will always out dps whirling axe in every possible scenario.
(edited by spoj.9672)
Those dungeon finder guilds where you dont have to rep never work for precisely that reason. If you want an active dungeon/fractal guild you are better off applying for guilds like rT, HC, DnT and LoD.
Yep if you include that mace 5 can hit twice in melee you get 24.72k dps. Basically axe/mace is only marginally better than pure axe auto. If it hits twice because of melee then its a fairly decent 0.7k dps increase over auto attack. Whereas whirling axe drops your total dps way below axe auto. So yeah really good damage!
You can even assume axe auto deals only deals 5k dps and it would still out dps whirling axe when cleaving.
(edited by spoj.9672)
10k on 5 targets over 3.5 sec = 50k/3.5 = 14.3k dps
3k on 5 targets over 0.5 sec = 15k/0.5 = 30k dps
Ignoring cooldowns. Obviously those arent true dps values because you cant use them permanently.
If we assume axe auto is 8k dps on a single target, so for cleave it would be 24k dps.
For axe/axe we have 16 sec cd so 12.5 secs of auto and 3.5 of whirling axe. So for total damage over 16 seconds we get:
12.5*24k + 50k = 300k
→ 300k/16 = 18.75k dps
For axe/mace we have 25 sec cd so 24.5 secs of auto and 0.5 secs of tremor. So for total damage over 25 seconds we get:
24.5*24k + 15k = 603k
→ 603k/25 = 24.12k dps
So yeah you are better off just auto attacking with axe/mace when cleaving/aoeing mobs.

Also add the pvp masquerade armour and more gw1 armour sets.
As much as I would like proper inrage timers Im not sure its a good idea. The game is a casual game. As much as we all hate it being tailored for casual players, I think enrage timers should be possible to reset for the more casual player base. But there should be a cost to resetting the timer. So resetting it is possible but far from desirable to any party.
In a way world bosses have a sort of enrage timer. You have a time limit to kill them and if you dont they bugger off and it fails. Not quite as epic as being obliterated by a party wipe attack but the end result is the same.
Aetherpath final boss also has an enrage timer thats reset by killing adds next to it. Nice idea in theory, shame its ruined by the rest of the the path and is dependant on adds spawning.
Some of the newer content does have some nice mechanics/boss fights. But they always ruin it overall by adding stupid puzzles and gimmicky extra mechanics which just annoy people.
Well the molten bosses have enrage stacks when the opposite hits certain hp thresholds. But yeah nothing to force dps because the stacks are just removed by hits regardless of damage. I do think the enrage mechanic on the molten duo is a good idea though.
Also i cringed so hard at that video. Thanks for the permanent creased forehead.

Ain’t nobody got time fo that, and I have nothing to prove, but let me say that the icecream I bought is much better than all of yours.
I sincerely hope you did not buy it from the firm I used to work for
Bearbows R Us?
What flavour?
Why would you transmute over expensive/gem store skins when you can get a new set with dungeon or wvw tokens easily enough and keep both? Its your own fault if you wasted your previous skins.
Pretty sure noone in this thread demanded compensation with a deadline of the fractal patch. So you saying its impossible is wrong because you clearly assumed wrong.
Whoever hosts has to run to the door. But the other party members can just wait anywhere in the same map (can be on different servers).
Swampland:
- Mossman now spawns veteran wolves which hit quite hard.
Urban:
- NPC’s charge at mobs even when players avoid aggro and stay back. They instantly charge at the siege in the centre.
- NPC’s are immune to Captain Ashyms agony so they are now permanently alive for the fight making it incredibly easy. You can just leave them to finish him off for you.
Cliffside:
- On the arm seals the groups of mobs have a delay before they respawn. So you can now clear a group and hit the seal before the group respawns. Makes it much easier in the higher levels as there is no danger of the hammer wielder getting killed while running to the seal.
Now that the npcs are immune to ashyms agony you can just afk that boss on urban. So yeah, its worthy of first tier since its been nerfed. The annoying thing is that the npcs now yolo charge into the siege even if you stay back and dont do anything. So no more pulling groups to the stairs.
Also on cliffside, the groups take longer to respawn so you have plenty of time after clearing a wave to run in and hit the seal before any mobs attack the hammer carrier. Will make it much easier on high levels.

Comparing wvw and pve is not really valid. In a pve setting necro has very limited group utility. The stuff it has is situational, sub par and plagued by long cooldowns and cast times. And epidemic doesnt solve pve seeing as conditions are so bad in pve.
Id say people will have 50 within 2 days max. I know my group could max it within a few days. Unfortunately I dont have that much play time.
Give em ele conjures! Or go rampager and cleave the tree with aoe and condi.
Necro is pretty good in TA. But yeah, not worth it over most other classes if you have them all.
But then you give the option of people joining parties and stealing the instance after kicking the host out. That is worse imo.
Nah thats just what they said on the stream. So their idea of discouraging ranging could be a really poor instability which doesnt really stop people from ranging.
Its got a delay so you can dodge it. Plus they mentioned other instabilities which will discourage ranging. So incoming QQ from pugs.
But you are not on EU. :<
All elitists should come to eu!
I know that, thats why i said duo/trio. The problem is I have to go out of my way to get dragonite and i only get dragonite from gms because i have a large guild that I leech gms from.
rT doesnt do gms but a fair few of us solo/duo/trio temple bosses occasionally. The thing is we would all much rather earn dragonite while playing the content we enjoy; dungeons and fractals. I dont see why fractals cant give dragonite instead of empyreal or just give both in small amounts.
Also, don’t forget that Gandalf actually had a 1H sword mainhand, and only really used his staff for utility and helping his party skip bosses. He didn’t camp staff while fighting.
LOLOL dangit. you gots me good.
tbh, the only use i find for staff in dungeons is actually line of warding when people have trouble running through stuff.
You shall not pass!
Surely adding dredge must be an office joke of theirs. It must be!
Ive never seen a meditation guard in pve. Standard zerk builds dont use them except for the situational judges intervention. Pretty sure the meta dps builds support more than your build.
I dunno but ive done the same and not rallied before. But then the other bots have rallied me. So yeah, im assuming one of them (or more) dont count for rallying.
@Gabe
Im busy shush!
You can rally off all the bots except that one specific one I believe. :P
Dragonite only being from meta events is a bit unfair though. Especially when its so few and somewhat timegated. Empyreal can be obtained from dungeons, fractals and JPs. Theres plenty of options. You also get some Empyreal in guild missions. Id like to see some dragonite given in the daily chest of fractals.
I was quite confused when i pugged fractals yesterday. We had some guards and they were relatively good, they knew to use WoR and melee bloom. They used WoR for the start of dredge and the turrets. Then when we got to the clown car they stopped using WoR for some reason….
I was the only one chaining reflects and im guessing i was the only one in full beserker so as you can imagine things got a bit painful. I ended up getting defeated for the last 10% of the clown car and despite there being no reflects for the last few groups, none of them took any noticable damage. Rather frustating that they decided to unslot WoR for clown car, no idea why they did that. :/

Just like to mention I recently finished leveling my ele and have been enjoying this build sooo much. Definately a good flexible build for fractals and relaxed speed clear groups. Eles my new favourite class at the moment.
When you know how to play with meta events timer and how to lead the zerg where you want (instead of being another zergling), it’s rather easy to get stacks of dragonite ores.
Some of us dont find it fun to do any content in a zerg. Only dragonite I get is from guild challenge once a week and the odd duo/trio of melandru, dwayna, lyssa or golem mark 2.
You are completely right to use gs or sword as your main weapon. People who use staff 24/7 are bad players.
Nothing wrong with mayonnaise on chips. :P
Please enlighten me on how AH isnt selfish. What does it do to help your teammates?
Well it is because 90% of the time it doesnt do that and it goes in the floor below you. :P
lol gg wp. lowbob.
Yeah id definately support this.
Im pretty sure I know how to play necro properly. Its a class with many weaknesses and nothing that special. Ele and mesmer are better most of the time. Necro is good for solo durability though, but lack of reflects gives a disadvantage in some encounters when solo.
(edited by spoj.9672)
You use both on the golem. Use nullfield while using timewarp.
Ye knights gear and 0/0/30/20/20 is bad.
Necro is stronger than mesmer but less useful. Its weaker than ele and less useful.
disenchanter is good for the golem in coe, thats about it.
