Please stop necroing. Im the only necro in this subforum. T_T
Its already strong i just feel the conditions should be less common conditions. Replace bleed with confusion and cripple with chill and maybe poison with torment. Thats my opinion on it anyway.
clap clap clap.
Remove the endurance bar. Vigor doesnt fit the flavour of the class which means dodging is obviously not intended for necro playstyle. Therefore we shouldnt be able to dodge anything and should just facetank everything and eat cc.
You still have arcane shield, mist form, lightning flash, armor of earth, frost auro, updraft, swirling winds, obsidian flesh, renewing stamina and more. Really? trying to say ele doesnt have enough defensive options is the biggest joke ive heard to date.
I wont deny that some classes get it way easier (mesmer). But ele doesnt really need much more in the way of defense imo.
You would see me playing my necro all the time if necro had a decent cleave weapon. When i pug i rotate between ele, war and guard because i enjoy them the most. If i enjoyed mesmer and thief more i would pug with them aswell. Most people stick to warriors and guards because its easier than explaining you are good at the others and pug groups know that they have a much better chance of getting through the dungeon smoothly by blacklisting the other classes. Theres nothing you can do to change that. Some people will always blacklist certain classes.
If you play with your friend you are not using lfg nor pugging…
This is about “pugging with lfg tool”
Did you even read my post?…
I think chill, torment and confusion would be nice additions to the active. Its like the condi equivalent of save yourselves which gives all boons except aegis and stability. So surely signet of spite should give most condi’s. Obviously exclude burn, fear and imob to prevent it from being completely op. Honestly id be fine with removing bleed entirely if they replaced it with confusion or chill.
I always thought of it as a skill which synergises with target the weak. But the amount of condis is too little to really make that synergy worth popping the active. And the condis it gives are usually already on the target so its kind of pathetic for power necros to use it for the active.

You do realise that the only reason for pugs requesting heavies is because they are the easiest classes to play and do well with. How often do you get decent eles, mesmers, necros, thieves, rangers and engis in pugs? Compare that number to bad warriors and you realise why most pug groups are so picky. You usually get bad guards but they tend to build pvt so they dont die constantly atleast.
Good eles should be able to survive and disengage most of the time. Good necros have no chance when focused. No escape or real defense or even vigor. DS is not an extra health bar and it is more of a weakness than a strength because you can only use it to stall for a few seconds and you cant heal back while in DS. The high base hp is the only redeeming quality of necro survivability but it really isnt enough.
The thing i like about ele is that even though im very squishy, i always have multiple ways to get out of the fight and heal up. Whether its extra dodges through vigor, blocks, projectile blocks, invulns or just high mobility to escape. Ele and lack of defense really does make me laugh.
Yeah because that really helps with necro survivability.
/s
signet was only worth it when people stacked warriors anyway.
Mini lupi, yes please.
Lack of blocks and evades on ele. Now ive heard it all. :/
Why do people find it so hard to believe that sellers are maliciously attacked? Theres a reason we go fill groups slowly with fillers. Wed rather not waste our time and the time of our genuine customers by getting our instance destroyed by some griefing little kitten.
Agreed. Would be amazing to be able to practise various bosses or go for solo attempts without the need to do the full dungeon. Would be even more useful for fractal bosses now that some fractals can only be reached on the 3rd fractal. This makes it incredibly time consuming to roll for dredge for a ice elemental solo for example.
My group ended up nuking them all at once and then kiting the ooze down during the period before the elementals respawned. You only needed a few blinds and reflects for the last stint that way.
From what ive gathered its if you are stack up and too close to alphard. If you are close or inside alphards model reflects will bug 90% of the time and you will get hit. If you are max melee range they should work pretty much 100% of the time. Which is why fighting in the open is easier. Or LoSing and then when shes in position taking a step back.
That would be an even weaker heal
It maybe worth it if you dont need to heal much as the cast time is the same as consume and you will get some damage back in return. Its still a dps loss to cast but its less so than any of the other heals.
They do maliciously effect our time when they join our party and kick us out of our own instance.
Im talking from experienced players perspective as i dont rate pugs as good measure of difficulty seeing as pugs fail at the most faceroll content.
Noone runs it in rT afaik. And yes i know those two puzzles are easy and relatively fast. They are still stupid and unfun though. Also the lack of being able to skip mobs and cutscenes is a turn off for trying to speedrun.
I wont deny the bosses in aetherpath are more interesting. But standing on panels with electric floors and kiting oozes is just tedious and boring.
See i feel that even though the active is as bad as it is. Its far better than the passive. It has the same cast time as consume so its basically a weaker heal with less of a dps loss. The passive does nothing. Considering it has an icd and its just a flat damage reduction you would think they would keep it slightly stronger by giving it the damage back. But even then it would be pathetic. What good is a signet heal with a useless passive. If they wanted damage reduction it should be the same as guardians signet of judgement passive. If i take a signet heal i expect to get atleast some kind of sustain out of the passive.
They should just change the passive to lifesteal on hit with an icd. I feel like they wasted a signet on this skill. All signet heals on other classes have passives which sustain them (excluding guard). Why does the necro get a terrible passive and a really sub par active along with it.
Drop rate is definately reduced since patch. And it seems buffed on lower levels which they were never available in (11-20). Ive had 1 skin since the patch and of the people ive played with that was the second skin weve had drop within the group since the patch.
48 use to drop multiple skins almost every daily, they were usually skins we didnt want but atleast we were getting a reasonable chance at a skin we wanted. I hope they raise the cap to 60 or 70 soon so we can start getting the weapon chests.
Im patiently awaiting a cleave weapon. And hopeful anet will develop the class into a spiker type class. Thats something that could easily happen with the addition of cleave and a few minor buffs and alterations in traits. Attrition is far too different to how the necro currently works for it to be the route they continue to follow.
Until then I will be avoiding my necro for the most part. I will however being attempting to break the lupi record once i finish my ascended focus. After that i probably wont have a reason to go back to it until we get some big changes.
Updated the quick link to include ascended armour. Also altered the equipment section regarding armour.
Basically taking assassins helm, chest and legs is slightly better in organised groups. For everything else or if you dont care too much you may aswell just stick to full berserker.
I can assure you everyone I play with just avoids it because of the unskippable cutscenes, stupid puzzle mechanics and poor reward for time. Not because its too hard.
Effective power can take into account boons, banners and traits. Vuln is pointless to include. Im not sure how nike does it. But if I want to check the best combo of stats i go on buildcraft, setup the build, input all group buffs and boons I should have and play around with the armour sets to see which gives the highest EP. I assume this is how nike has done it. Either that or he calculated EP himself. Id do that if I wasnt so lazy.
If he is using buildcraft then theres not much he can do but list the effective power of each combo. So you may aswell just check it yourself if you dont believe him. :P
You do know consume conditions and other condi cleanse on necro doesnt work properly on all sources of poison in pve. No need to nerf something thats already broken.
You can make versatile infusions. But they are very expensive.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Versatile_Precise_Infusion
Its not that its too hard. Its that noone wants to sit through a heavily timegated dungeon with stupid puzzle sections and unskippable cutscenes.
This is a real casual kill. No warbanners, no pre-stacking, just a regular lupi on a regular run.
Complete surprise when we skipped phase 3.

I can assure you nikes math is fine. And you should trust his advice on building warrior. Not that my word means anything. :P
They could just put an invisible wall at the spot where people blink. But im sure they would find another way to get underwater that way. :P
Power necro has good burst aoe but its not enough in a lot of situations and especially in pug groups. And yeah condi aoe isnt good enough. If i want pure aoe id take an ele which also has cleave.
My main is a necro but i know the class is sub par in pve. I play all classes in organised groups. Necro just doesnt have anything worth taking it for in pretty much any situation. The well support is good for cliffside where you dont need dps. Thats about it.
Necro dps is good but the lack of cleave makes it a pain for anything other than bosses.
A good necro is helpful in some fractals. Its just not good enough to bother switching to most of the time. Id say cliffside and underwater are the only 2 fractals that necro is very good at. Also before they revamped fractals necro was very good for jade maw and 70+ dredge fractal.
Eles are fine lol. Ideal group in pve has 1 or 2 eles.
Yeah i believe the daily tiers are now 1-10, 11-20, 21-30, 31-40 and 41-50.
The only stupid part is the trap tunnel. Final boss is pretty fun.
Necro just isnt that fun for me anymore. Have been switching between my alts pretty evenly. Only my necro and thief get neglected. Next class to lvl will be engi and i expect I will play that more than necro aswell. If necro recieved a cleave weapon I would probably instantly find the class fun again.
Pretty sure 20/25/0/0/25 is better than 10/30/0/5/25 on guard. But vigor is op.
But it doesnt make sense that you exclude a valid kill just because that particular high cd skill does more burst than any other class and is enough to 1shot the giant. If you could 1 shot the giant with eviscerate would you ban that aswell?
I can kind of accept that you are excluding fiery rush because its a gimmicky thing to do. But saying frostbow is not allowed is just absurd.
Im baffled everytime i read this subforum. Ele is probably the most well designed class in the game. Its strong in all gametypes. Fun to play. Versatile. Has one of the best class mechanics and some of the best traits in the game.
I understand most of the “ele is bad” talk is from pvp and im no pvp expert but eles were dominant a while back and they recieved a few nerfs and now it seems everyone thinks they are trash. I dont agree. Even after the nerfs good eles were the only class that I just could not deal with in spvp. So could someone please explain why a few nerfs here and there made a god tier class drop to trash?
FGS works on everything though. I agree, you either ban all burst skills which would mean every class has to just auto attack or you allow everything except for racial skills and consumables like embers.
Its actually faster to do it without spiky fruit anyway.
