Same here, been crashing when I try to enter the instance

Ok I’m having a lot of trouble with the adventure A fungus amoung us in Auric Basin, for some reason the 2nd skill (cap hop) just doesn’t work for me sometimes, I hit the first and jump on my head, but then sometimes I just cannot complete the second leap even if I target a valid spot and click…am I just misunderstanding this mechanic or is it buggy?

Hey everyone, I’ve been trying to get some Achievements done in order to nab some mastery points, but for the life of me I can’t figure out how to complete the wild dragon chase achievement, I get to exactly 22/23 glint echoes but no matter where I search I can’t find the last one, has anyone managed to complete this achievement or is it bugged out for some reason? Wasn’t sure exactly where to post this, but I figured the general HoT board might be best as I don’t exactly know if it’s even possible to complete it

I’ve been having a ton of very annoying crashing on my client as of late, I’ve heard that there is currently a 64bit client that is being tested, and it apparently fixes alot of the crashing, is it possible to run this client atm and if so how?

I am currently running a tiny guild known as The Forgotten Echoes [TFE], we are a very tiny guild that I founded on the idea of having some-what lore friendly names (more on that in a moment) as well as focusing on avoiding a “cog-in the machine” mindset and maintaining a small-group feel, a bit like a slightly larger Destiny’s Edge

-Currently 3 members are in the guild
-We have already claimed the Lost Precipice as our Guild Hall
-We are a primarily PvE focused guild, though we have considered structured PvP
-No home server requirement
-No reputation requirement, as far as I’m concerned if you don’t want to rep, that’s absolutely fine, though it would be nice to see you in guild chat and participating in missions from time to time

Q: What do you mean by “lore friendly?”

A: I have largely dropped any requirements regarding names since I found it was too restrictive, HOWEVER I am keeping the theme of the guild and it’s name to be somewhat lore friendly and more importantly I’ve been trying to avoid the large guild idea of “cog in the machine”

Yeah, the patch broke a few things…again, getting DC’d constantly as well as a few crashes, could arenanet maybe consider making sure that the patch doesn’t break the game? I mean one patch I can kind of understand but two patches in a row? Come on

yeah same, could Arenanet please check to make sure their patches don’t bug the game out?

Same issue here, repairing just ends up freezing up the application and I’m forced to shut it down…this is really getting ridiculous

I don’t think it’s a massive gamebreaking bug since HoT has very little Underwater content, and Mallyx and Shiro work BUT it is still a massive WTF? And does need to be addressed since underwater content does exist in the game at several points, including fractals of the mist, it doesn’t help that revenant is already kind of crippled only having access to spear

I don’t know what you guys are on about, 250 HP is a much better number, are we really bringing up the cosmetic specialzation armors losing their “prestige”? Those items have no prestige whatsoever frankly, and why should they? they aren’t legendaries or a super rare skin, they are an elite spec skin, and frankly 400 HP was annoying to get, especially for those on revenant who couldn’t grind out some HP before HoT launched, mechanical stuff shouldn’t be so hard to get, back when GW2 launched, once you hit lvl 80 you got all your traits unlocked and got to play around with them, and I liked that system

I’ve been getting plenty of crashing…I’ve heard reinstalling might fix it so I’m gonna try that, though I’ve also head that it doesn’t…guess it depends on the player, wish me luck!

Crashing every once in awhile in HoT content, I haven’t crashed yet in any other type of content, I can’t really give any specific errors but I am sending error reports whenever it happens so I hope that’s enough!

Probably already been said before, but I keep crashing at the world Boss Golem MK II, I have sent a few error reports to Anet via the crash log, sure it will be fixed at some point but thought I would post just in case

I am really starting to lose it over here…I can’t even play the game without getting kittened off at this point, because LFG is filled with people doing stuff in the new maps that I can’t access because of the prologue bug…

Hi at the moment i am stuck with the prologue after i crashed last night, i just let it download and hoped to continue in the morning but now i cant get back into the instance to complete the quest. is this happening to anyone other than myself?

You two and several other people including me, still no word on when it will be fixed outside of they are trying to fix it…

So when is that hotfix again? I’d like to maybe be able to try out the new maps at some point tonight…this is starting to really kitten me off that I’m stuck in the prologue

But the first main quest for the char Revenant is bugged or so it seems.
“Time for a Promotion”, hope they can fix it soon! Or does anyone have a way to make it work again?

yeh always crash when i try to get to the last step of the “prologue” instance

where it seems like a cutscene starts … but just complete freeze and have to use taskmanager to end gw2

i didnt patch 100% before trying this though
tried 1x at 30% when i was just able to get into the game
tried 1x at ~65%
will now wait for 100% and then try again and tell here if it worked then

i patched to 100% some hours ago and it immediatly worked then without a problem

Its because it isnt about the crash, it is about if u leave the Instance u cant reenter it.

Orangensaft doesnt left the instance, so he could proceed as soon as he loaded the cutscene, others left the instance for some reason and are stucked now.

Yep I left the instance to go bed and I’m stuck and can’t proceed. No green star no portal just says meet at rally point.

My game crashed when I reached the end of the instance, then when I re-entered I had the wonderful pleasure of an impossible to complete mission…tried another character, crash, reboot impossible to complete

When I get to the Prologue 1st Rally point the game crashes with no crash report. Have tried this 6 times now with 2 different characters over the past 12 hours and no success.

Not as of now, but you aren’t the only one by a longshot, tons of players (me included) are having similar problems either with it crashing, or outright being impossible to complete, the dev’s are aware and are working on a fix…though our patience is starting to wear down a little despite that reassurance, and before anyone suggests a fix, trust me, we’ve tried them all, none of them worked

I’m not sure if you asked this or someone else did, but anyway, the patch didn’t fix it, though the notes said nothing about it so I guess false hopes, I think you asked about trying to change to a different story? Well I tried quitting and did a quick Living Story Instance and came back, still bugged…sigh I know you guys are doing your best to fix this…but I really don’t understand why you “need” to go through this story instance in the first place, if we were just allowed into the jungle straight away without having to go through it this wouldn’t be nearly as big a problem…I am really trying to stay patient and civil, and I know you guys are doing your best, but by grenth I would hope that a game-breaking bug like this would be fixed much faster…It’s driving me insane that there is so much content that most other players can play, and I can’t even though I waited for just as long as they did

Had the Prologue: Rally missing instance entrance bug for about 11 hours now..

Would it not be possible to wipe the storyline for everyone who’s still on the prologue, because from what I’ve seen people who play the prologue after the patch are fine?

No that would be pretty dangerous.

Also tester just repro’d, time to ride this choo choo train out to live… once we get the fix to test that is.

We tried doing that, no luck unfortunately, this is frankly ridiculous, we are now almost 12 hours after release, and several players (me included) can’t access 95% of the content we paid for…

1. No extra character slot! – These are added once per week. Please submit a CS ticket if you don’t have one after a week has passed.
2. Stuck/frozen in Torn from The Sky – If you have not fully patched the client you will freeze when hitting a tripwire while the client downloads the missing cinematic. Solutions are to fully patch or wait for it to download. I know the waiting looks pretty sketch and you just want to push the close button or force quit.
3. Missing Achievement Points – We think this has to do with Halloween Achievement points from 2014 being reset in 2015. Investigating.

But no mention of anything about the VERY FIRST MISSION locking people out of the rest of the content..

Ah yes, I was only on page 4 when I read this – I have finished now.

Locked out seems to be solved with zoning from Silverwastes to Verdant Brink and then starting the mission again from there. It’s not confirmed yet to work, I only post after internal confirmation and that is in progress.

My original report is on page 1… Plus how can we solve it by zoning to Verdant Brink when we haven’t even got there yet..

The tester’s theory is this will work, but he’s not 100% sure yet.

I don’t understand what you are talking about…we can’t get into verdant brink, the portal is locked until we complete the prologue that is bugged

We can’t enter verdant brink, we are still locked out until we complete the prologue which we can’t do because the final objective crashes the game, and when you come back the green star is missing and doesn’t activate

Stuck in Torn from the sky, yes I fully patched the client, everything is downloaded, still doesn’t bloody work…we aren’t freezing up, we cannot re-enter the instance, the green star is gone and stuck at “rally to the jungle” as an objective, why oh why did you force us to do the story instance before we can enter? sigh you guys are killing me over here, I’m locked out of 95% of the expac’s content and the booster’s I activated are just going to go to waste if I do anything else in the game, what’s worse we haven’t even had any confirmation that the dev’s are actually going to patch it today…

Haven’t even had acknowledgement of the issue…

Still waiting on the fix for that bug that locks a bunch of players our of 90% of HoT’s content…

So…now what do we do? Could we at least get a dev to confirm that they are working to fix this? I hate just being left in the dark, for all I know it could be days before I actually get to play

Pretty much as they said, you can work around the requirement by “allying” with other small guilds to complete guild missions and get halls, if you need a guild to help you out, I’m in a 3-man guild and we’d be glad to team up to help each other complete some guild missions!

Yeah several other people are having the same problem as you, all we can really do at this point is wait for the dev’s to patch it…so I guess you and me are locked out of 90% of HoT

Yeah same here, downloading 100% stopped the crashing on cutscenes, but still no green star on the map

Ok I heard from someone in map chat, that if you download everything it fixes the bug, I can’t confirm yet but I will update if it works!

And before anyone asks, yes I did try the instance on another character, you know what happened? My game crashed when I reached the portal and now that character has the exact same problem…

I can’t get back into the instance, it keeps telling me to “get to the rally point” but there’s no green star…

The Prologue story mission crashes my game when I try to finish it, and “time for a promotion” is also bugged, I beat the first few gladiators and the story mission get’s stuck

First of all what problem? I have no idea what you are talking about, are you saying that because legendaries are difficult to get we should be able to have as many weapons with legendary stats as we want? I’m sorry, but the skin is already account bound, that’s fine, but if we did this what would be the point of going for the second legendary? There is no “problem” the system is fine as it is

I’ll level from 1 to 15 and then instant 80, will give me a chance to get some hero points and waypoints etc. but I’d rather not go through the boring and tedious process of leveling from 1-80, I’ve done that enough thanks
