Vespers as soon as they remove the need to map wvw areas from map completion I asure you, you will NEVER see another pve player in there.

i wouldn’t have a problem with the PVE aspect of WvW removed.

they could add costume slots to the hero panel. place an item in there and it covers your current armor while not changing stats.

i think having to transmute is ridiculous. it destroys the armor… i’d ahve to re-farm a dungeon for the armor i transmuted? what…

i don’t think it would be fair to change it. you complete the original map, you get the prize.

like any console game, you can always completely finish the game in the original state it came when you bought it. you paid for it, and you should get it regardless of later DLC.

I wouldn’t buy a tricycle to ride around on even if it came with a 100% speed buff . I want a real mount and I don’t mind shelling out 10-20$ for them if they look good.

hopefully the PVE people will hurry up and stop taking up slots in WvW if they don’t want to PVP so the rest of us can get in without having to wait for them to finish harvesting onions and mining iron ore.

why play an ugly human when you could have a nice sylvari?

man i just want them to get rid of the bots. I’ve never seen a game with so many of them.

i find overall it isn’t as impressive because it needs a certain angle to get the feeling of depth you get looking at twilight.

well judging by the logic in here, having arrow carts on a garrison or tower and not allowing other players entry is also griefing.

if you can’t make it alone, bring friends just like you would with any other contested point. they are defending something they own. if you don’t like then take it from them.

They may have been tired of people jumping in and killing them. now i’m not saying that you did anything wrong, or that what they did was right, but i’m sure they get interrupted a lot by people who just get in and go to town and overreacted.

this game desperately needs pvp arenas.

I find it harder to land jumps on my sylvari than on charr.

i went bunker so now i just charge through them. don’t even try to fight them, it doesn’t work very well.

speed boost, dodge and just keep running until you get to an event.

the Ulgoth in Harathi hinterlands. I like that it’s long and has multiple stages. the lead up to the fight actually makes it feel like a big deal.

it’s called downscaling. it’s to make low level areas more enjoyable for high levels. it wouldn’t be much fun to explore new areas if you could walk around 1 shotting everything in sight. you’ll probably find that even though you are downscaled, you’re still stronger than a real lvl 5.

I personally like it because you can’t explore every area while still being within the level range for it without downscaling.

hmmm seems to me that if the same complaints are always surfacing then they might be justified.

as for Orr, if I stopped every time i saw someone being chased by mobs i’d never get anywhere. the fastest way to get around is to ignore mobs and run through them. stopping just makes everything so much worse.

if someone asks for help or i notice they have low hp or are downed, i’ll help out, but otherwise i assume they are doing the same thing i’m doing.

you continue to gain skillpoints by leveling

i think this is a bad idea because everybody should get a mount!

my point, as you already know, is that it’s a crazy price.

the armor costs more than twice as much as the game. makes sense to me!

Lack or endgame content and lack of pvp arenas. I’d also like to see costumes that don’t require 6 inventory slots or the one time use of transmutation stones.

no smart aleck. the problem is you work to complete a whole area and your reward is two items the same as the other 30 you got completing the area.

yes i also found it odd that most of the gear you get is not anything you can use. i have 2 skill points left for 100% completion and i think that i got ~2 pieces of gear i could use total from all my completed areas…

Well, if they choose to implement gay marriage, they will without a doubt get some unwanted publicity for that, all while losing some younger players because of their parents prohibiting them. I doubt ANet would want publicity for being the first major Western game to “support” gay marriage.

I for one consider losing the homophobes a good thing.

oh i also like that dodge isn’t a stat. you actually do something.

the last mmo i played was all about gear/ cash shop to the point that max level characters could easily 1 shot other max level characters (they’d do 2-7mil dmg a hit on an opponent with six hundred thousand hp (had to write that out because it was censored? )). you’d have scenarios where there’d be 10 or 12 players all trying to take down 1 person. it was a huge joke.

compared to that this is far better, although the way pvp is set up there isn’t as much 1v1 as i’d like. i miss having open world pvp where you could be attacked by anyone if you were flagged. made it interesting to pvp in every zone.

that said i like that pvp is fair in this game, although the wvwvw zerg gets old after a while.

You’re the one who keeps mentioning WoW. I have nothing against that game. I think the way it’s expanded the MMO market is brilliant ankittenhankful it exists.

Some people may want mounts, many others don’t. Adding it in for the players who want them detracts from the experience that those others are after. I do not use waypoints very often, but I do not want to see a plethora of charr automobiles or what have you steamrolling through Brisban.

i would say that the majority would be happy with mounts. the very vocal minority is who posts here.

used to be pagan but were adopted and changed by christians to facilitate the assimilation of conquered peoples. just like christmas and nearly every other christian holiday. point is, they are christian now.

then of course there’s the whole thing about thanksgiving being to celebrate the return of soldiers after they went and slaughtered a bunch of native americans but i won’t get into that.

regardless of what the religions are, i don’t see why they should be in this game when there’s perfectly good backstories that could be used to create holidays that are actually relevant to the game.

sounds like you just don’t like WoW. if you don’t want anything that WoW has we might as well just erase the whole game.

what’s funny is when you can’t say in game names because they are censored. ex: molotov kittentail.

mounts are not “lorebreaking”. what a terrible argument. they can be so easily incorporated it takes 2 seconds to do.

gw2 logic:

1. you’re being attacked by four enemies at close range? better target that rabbit 30 yards away.

2. oh you’re kiting? better switch target to the full hp enemy instead of the one with 2% left.

it does these things all the time! it should lock on one until A. it dies or B. you switch targets.

I have to say… 80 is a huge buff over a 35 in AC. the 80s just don’t die nearly as easily and then there’s the added bonus of all the traits and skills the low level doesn’t have.

why can’t they expand on in game holidays or create ones that actually make sense with the situation instead of shoehorning in holidays that make no sense. there’s so many things they could do. have a festival for each race, remember a big battle with things you can pin to your character etc…

would it be so hard to create a holiday around the six gods instead of forcing in a christian holiday that makes no sense like they did with halloween?

housing…. i’d take mounts any day of the week.

Sweetheart, mounts do not fit into the world of Tyria. Where would they have come from? Where would they have been hiding for the past… five+ centuries? Why would people suddenly start using them when far swifter methods of travel are available? There are no logical answers.

alright this is my five second solution. the asurans have a breeding program blah blah blah that created a stranger breed of X animal. this new animal can be ridden and helps people travel across the land.

as for faster means of travel, certainly there are waypoints, but then why are pack animals wandering around the wilderness? because people still need to get between places on foot. and that’s where mounts come in. they are for traveling across rough terrain while adventuring.

i love when people bring up WoW like it’s the only MMO out there with mounts. every freaking MMO on the planet has mounts. why? because people love them and they generate huge amounts on money.

it isn’t about “waving them around in people’s faces”. if you think that then we might as well remove legendaries and cultural armors too.

Please Arenanet, there are many fan suggestions you should NEVER consider, this is one of them

give me a real reason for why you’re so against it.

it also makes it extremely hard to break out when you’re down to your last keep.
