decoration I guess. there are chests behind some bosses, at the ends up puzzles etc… that do open and give you loot.

there’s three dragons… they are in blazeridge steppes, sparkfly fen and forstgorge I think. not 100% sure on those. those are the only really large enemies I can think of. the rest are just larger versions of regular mobs with more health and skills.

if you’re so good, you should already not be dying and if that were the case none of this would matter to you…

Minions that heal out of combat so they don’t end up with 5%hp after the fight only to be 1 shotted 2 seconds later in the next one, leaving me with a nice cooldown.

the two dragons are far more of a fight than him. he just hangs on a post and dies. still it was by far the best story mission in the game and I had a good time running it with a whole party of first timers.

I think the better question is why does a catholic holiday exist in this game in the first place.

1) The crafting system. Just look at all the work that’s gone into it, all the potential for something deep and arresting. Look at what they were aiming at with the recipes. It’s easy to see how this could have worked out.

How it could have been
You pick a crafting profession. You spend ages testing different combinations, making odd, junky weapons, learning what things work well together, gradually getting better. Eventually, you know how to produce a variety of weapons with high stats and special effects. Players come to you to buy these weapons because they need them for specific instances, eg. a dungeon has fast critters in it, and you’ve created a bow that sacrifices power for a mean slow-down ability. You make lots of money selling this bow, which only you and other people who’ve picked that profession can create, and which took creativity and hard work to make.

I for one am very grateful it isn’t like this.

I play a female charr. I have little interest in playing a barbie doll, which is what you get when you play a female of the other races (minus the sylvari i guess).

you’re in an instance. near the bottom right side of the screen there’s a roound icon that looks kinda like a door. just click that.

their cries of “for the moletariat!”, molechev kittentails, one place is called “leaning grade” which sounds a lot like Leningrad. i’m prety sure i’ve heard them call each other comrade, and some of them have Russian names or russian names with “mole” tacked onto them.

Are they supposed to be a bad caricature of communist Russia?

enemies are fine, structures are way off.

idk about gravelings but trying to hit roadblocks, separatist houses, trebuchets, catapults. carts etc… all have the same problem.

i know many people have this issue. not sure why i miss 80% of my hits on a HOUSE.

tier 3 heavy cultural helm is easily the best looking one in the game for any race imo. the tier 2 is nice as well. the aurora etc.. exotics are stupid because the charr doesn’t get the nice face on it and most of the others look really uncomfortable on charr, but then again almost all the heavy armors look terrible on charr anyway.

can’t really say for cloth or leather but i’ve seen some nice ones i think are cloth.

i don’t mind them at all. most can be finished in about 2 minutes. granted there’s a few that take way too long ( the one where you paint frogs blue comes to mind) or are extremely repetitive ( catch the barrels of ale which is impossible or rouse 60 drunken patrons) but overall i enjoy them. some of them are fun and original ( take food back from rabbits).

let’s be honest here. gem shard prices are crazy inflated. 800 gems for 10$ is… funny. i won’t buy anything from the gem store with real money unless it’s mounts. period. i wouldn’t care about TP costs if i could ride a mount around, but running everywhere with a 9s speed boost on 20s (?) CD (only with staff) is excessive.

i suppose i could change my skills to get more boosts, but i don’t want to use them and i don’t want to switch my skills around every 10 seconds.

the running animation is actually one of the more realistic ones. it’s the in combat animation that looks incredibly ridiculous.

i like them minus awful cameras and slipping and falling for no apparent reason. it’s less about skill and more about memorizing which surfaces you will fall off for the next attempt.

this game needs mounts badly. I hate running places and I hate wasting 4s on a teleport too. in PVE it’s bad enough but when you add WvWvW into it it becomes downright annoying. there’s all of three waypoints in the WvWvW map and every time you die you get to spend the next 8 minutes running back again.

the voice acting is really really corny in cutscenes too. it actually makes me laugh out loud sometimes.

imho they should just remove commander and add a raid function. make a big group, d be able to see your raid on the map. it would be far more fun to actually be able to see conditions etc… on other players vs a random group of individuals flooding around unaware of what’s going on with anyone beside them.

the only value of a commander atm is that they show up on the map so you can see where the action is (providing they aren’t off gathering nodes or something).

I don’t think anyone goes into pvp expecting to win every time.

I have 1. I got to 80 and then realized I actually dislike all but 1 heavy dungeon armor set on charr so I decided to make a light armor necro as most of the light armors look amazing.

why open them when most of the time they give junk? a potion that turns you into an animal and a 30min buff. no ty.

i agree. I usually change appearance every day or so. I want about 6 sets of light gear for my necro but I don’t think it’s fair to have to go through so much trouble, especially if the armor set costs over 100g…

i had to turn off my sound effects because i can’t take the anime sex noises anymore. it’s a shame because i love everything else about her.

i’ve never managed to get more than 400 karma an event…

imho the greatest thing about playing charr is going to queensdale or wherever and being the only charr in a group of humans/sylvari/asurans. you feel pretty gigantic.

I definitely agree but all the same once you have exotics, the armor sets you want and have done some wvwvw what’s left?

personally i want to see pvp arenas in cities for 1v1.

only thing I want to see is a commander status that means more than “i paid 100g and now i try to boss people around”. commander is meaningless atm.

My main problem is no way to track aggro and no target of target feature. some bosses will chase one person with no regard for other people. is aggro based on dmg or what? i have no clue. I am happily smacking away and suddenly I’m downed. no chance to try and do anything because I had no way of knowing I was going to get hit. This isn’t always from red circles. some big hits are not telegraphed or are nearly impossible to see through skill spam. fights end up being a series of downs and revives.
when AoEing a group of enemies the other day i went down and up about 4 times in just as many seconds. i found it kind of funny, but i don’t feel like paying 6s because of it.

No because gods in this game actually exist so you can’t believe they don’t exist. they do however reject the idea of worshiping them.

there’s no proof of gods in real life so it’s reasonable to reject the notion of them, but if one came and actually interacted with the world then you wouldn’t be able to deny that they exist.

I’m sure this has been mentioned before somewhere but I haven’t seen any just like it and it is driving me crazy.

I would like to see a great overhaul on the hotkeys. I’m not sure why the 1-5 skills are locked into place and cannot be moved around. I have tried to change the keybindings ( ex: 1 becomes 4) but when the picture/skill description doesn’t actually move it becomes kind of confusing to hit the right one. I’m not sure why it has been done this way, as customization of hotkeys is central to nearly every mmo ever.

Eventually I could get used to it, but then I start using a new combination of weapons I find myself hitting the wrong ones again.

Here’s an example of how annoying it can be. When using a 2h sword, my “teleport to target” stock skill slot is the number 4. Since I want it on 2 I move it there. Now the skill pictures are in the same place so my bar looks like this: 1,4,3,2,5. I use this most of the time and get used to it.

Later I add a sword and torch as second weapon set, but here the teleport to target skill stock slot is the number 2 and since I have reversed the keys it is now 4.

either way I cannot set up my skills the way I want them. my skills will always be reversed, be it 2 or 4. I cannot have both of them on the number 2 like I want them.

I would like to see this changed as I find it very uncomfortable to have both my skill pictures out of order and to have the numbers change around when switching weapon sets.
