It is bad idea since GW2 is a game made for fun, not a rat race like in WoW for example where the border between good players and bad players is very thick.
If you are in a dungeon and you are good player you see right away who is slacking and who is not and if someone plays bad he is either aware of it or plays for fun which in both cases makes it completely irrelevant for the rest of the team (or you are so pro you have problem with that and you insult them leaving the party immediately after).
If you are bad and want to improve it you have to analyze your traits and item build thinking what might be the problem. There is no one ultimate guide everyone should follow since you can adapt the build for your need and still do well overall.
If you don’t play for fun and you are super imba gosu hardcore leet gw2 isn’t just the game for you, one of the simplest reasons why is the lack of gear progression.
My advice to you is keep on improving till you reach the satisfactory point and if you do super well keep helping others. I get asked very often about my warrior’s shouting build and I always help the person interested. Damage meters won’t do nothing good to this game.
Actually when you call target on a mesmer you get unmarked when you cast an illusion and they have to mark you again.

The thing is:
weapon swapping for ele would be very op since you would have to many skills to spam resulting in easy nuking. What elementalists need is out of combat weapon swap, its so annoying especially in WvW if you play double dagger and you have to swap to staff, you have to look for it in the backpack and always keep in mind not to accidentally sell it to the vendor.
The Black Lion Trading Company search engine is so annoying. Everytime I try to find something there is a thousand of results I do not want to see. For example, I got black lion salvage kit so it is much cheaper for me to buy armor and weapons with runes and sigils I want than the rune/sigil itself (100% salvage rate), if I write in the search bar “of [insert rune/sigil name here]” I got 250+ pages of results that aren’t even close to what I am looking for. I write “of Bloodlust” looking for weapons and there is 703 pages of results where the cheapest option is “Traveler’s Orrian Mace of Intelligence”.
Please improve that, give us at least option to put something between quotation marks to look for the exact phrase and ingore the rest rather than hundreds pages of some random results.
This is a big flaw in WvWvW. Single players are dead body scouting actions of the zerg team, so basically you have to trick 1 guy while moving in a zerg group just to not get confronted by enemy team who knows your plans and where you are heading thanks to that 1 dead man scout.
This can be simply solved by on death timer counting let’s say from 1 minute down, if noone picks you up during this time you get ported automatically to nearest wp. If someone touches you (not necesarily revives you) counter gets reset. Please think about it, atm it gives a big advantage to the team that lost the fight.
This is still a big problem for me, during big zerg vs zerg battle I cannot see a thing since the dead enemy names cover whole screen, the other half is covered by the names of some allies I do not wish to see.
When this will get some attention? During zerg vs zerg battle it is impossible to hit enemy with any skill other than aoe (if you are lucky). Please pay some attention towards improving the servers.
@Nuithari: what is an R&D lab? :P What do you mean by more aggresive build?
@LordByron: I see you completely give up that 10 point in precision while using S/D transferring it to toughness and condition damage. Seems reasonable since it will increase bleeding and burning damage while increasing toughness by 180 while attuned to earth, but what trait you choose? I was using Zephyr’s Boon in my build. I see Obsidian Focus very viable while casting Churning Earth, but do you know if this trait works with channeled spells from attunements different than earth? Same question would regard Salt Stone and Stone Splitters.
Also in 10/0/0/30/30 what trait you choose from fire tree? I guess Internal Fire is better than Ember’s Might?
So far I only played ele in sPVP and it is not that bad, I’m still too low lvl to fully enjoy WvW but I am already looking for a build “for me”, so thank you for your answers, I will surely try out different setups posted by you to find the one I would enjoy most

This finally needs attention, seeing dead enemies name (even after turning name showing off) is super annoying in WvWvW. As mentioned before in zerg battles you can’t see a poo. What I would like is to hide all enemies and allies name when I unmark that in the options and when I push my show allies/enemies names button show only the living ones.
I wanted to ask few questions about ele in pvp.
1. Is 0/10/0/30/30 cantrip build valid sPVP and WvW build?
2. If I go full PTV is it better to eat the potion which converts toughness and vit into power or crit?

Ok, this is very annoying, if I choose to hide enemy/allies names I want them to kittening disappear compeletly, not hide only some of them. In WvW this is sooooooooooo annoying, in zerg fights I can’t see a thing due to whole screen being occupied by enemies and allies names (tho I marked in options to hide it). When I want to see them I push the button to show them, please fix this asap, very annoying.

As I see here we have a typical case of *hurt to deal with. On one side people spam requests to nerf thieves, on the other hand people spam requests to buff them due to being superunderpowered in pve and during leveling phases, making them (one of the) hardest professions to level.
Who is right? I guess none of the above. Thieves are very skill dependent class, you have to push button fast and have to know which skill to execute next, as they are more squishie than light armor wearers they heavily depend on stealth and evades. So what they have stealth and initiative if you can take them down so fast?
Where thieves shine is 1v1, I don’t know, maybe it’s just easier for them in 1v1 fights. When I play pvp with my warrior I got no problems with thieves, when I play my conditionmancer sometimes it is hard and I die, but this is a sign for me “you have to get better” not “kittening thieves, they’ve should got nerfed”.
That’s all, I wonder how many people who wants the nerfs plays pvp with 80lvl thief actually. Personally I think elementalists are more op, so what now? Nerf them as well so I won’t have to learn how to counter them?
But why do you want to nerf stealth? It’s the only mechanic thieves have, with it nerfed they will be useless. You want thieves to get nerfed because they whoop your butts in pvp, but have in mind any change you apply to that class with affect pve aspect of the game as well.
I know probably many people likes asymmetric shoulder armor (both shoulders with different look), but I am sure there is more people who find them ugly. There is a lot of cool looking endgame armors I would like to buy, but I simply won’t just because asymmetric shoulders (cultural heavy tier3 for sylvari, primeval armor skin you buy for gems, and many many more). Now making them all symmetric would be unfair for people who like them as they are designed now, maybe it would be possible to implement an option to chose either we want to have both shoulder look the same?
If this is not possible could you implement some cool looking skin for gem with symmetric shoulder look?

So, I was looking into unlocking guild missions, but I have one question, is “guild bounties” the only type of missions that doesn’t require guild merit? Im in a guild completely not interested in doing WvWvW, so basically we will have to unlock 5 tiers + the guild bounties (66500 influence)? If the answer is yes this is completely stupid and I already know we will never do that content since I don’t plan spending so much in upgrades we won’t use.

Being hit doesn’t break stealth, as for 3rd point you make no sense. These are bugs so stop looking for excuses.
1. Mobs can still see you and target you when you enter camouflage close to them
2. Mobs that hit you with aoe while you are under camouflage effect very often keep on attacking you though you are stealthed
3. While under camouflage buff you can be unstealthed by thief who uses shadow refuge
fyi these are the bugs so it won’t get deleted, learn to read.
As for the item itself as I said, would be much better to completely remove it from the game rather than making it useless.
And as for skipping content using it what did you expect? Instances are bugged so everyone wants to be done with them asap, it’s painful to farm instances instead of being enjoyable, but if you want get items fast without spending gold you have to do them.

Either leave it to work as it was or fix the bugs related with it, for example mobs can still see you and target you when you enter camouflage close to them, mobs that hit you with aoe while you are under camouflage effect very often keep on attacking you though you are stealthed, while under camouflage buff you can be unstealthed by thief who uses shadow refugee, and many, many more.
Very often you have to use it like 4 or 5 times in a row to drop the aggro, and now you will simply die. And why did you even change the way it worked? I didn’t see anyone complaining about it and in dungeons it was a life saver, now it is close to useless, you could remove it from the game instead, would be much better.
So, I wrote to the support:
“On day 26.02 I was doing my daily and when I was already 1 event short to complete it the client turned off and started updating. After the update I entered the game to finish the daily by completing one event, but the daily already got changed. I would like to ask for 1 laurel and 1 mystic coin I didn’t receive due to the client update and daily reset.”
And they responded:

We as support have no way to alter this or dictate when it is to occur as this happens on the development side of things. I don’t see any feedback subforum so I post it here. Basically I am very disappointed with the support “provided”, especially because I was so close to complete the last event I needed and lost my daily because you decided to update at 10:30 pm of my local time instead of doing it as early in the day as possible so it doesn’t kittening reset right before midnight. Also I entered the forums to see what? You performed the reset just to add a content that doesn’t work right now.
Seriously, with all the bugs and problems game has at the moment it would be much appriciated (I think by everyone) if support would show some more interest in solving issues and tried more to help (I received a response after 15 minutes, so I guess it was only copy/paste) instead of writing they can do nothing and are sorry you wasted your time just to do the daily you finally didn’t complete. I’m very annoyed by this situation and have the urge to insult you, so I have to end the post now before I lose it.
same here, keeps on desconnecting with an error message “Connection error(s). Retrying…”, and i was one event short to complete daily -_-
Risen Drakes in Cursed Shore have a little better melee range than that of melee professions. When you melee fight with one he gets back and melee attacks you out of your melee range, so you have to run to it entire fight, it’s not a big bug, but it is pretty annoying when you try to hit one with Hundred Blades skill.

Just checked and my wife can run the game on her computer without problems, we are in the same network with exact the same hardware spec. When I try to login to my account using her computer I get the same error as on my computer.
Since I don’t think you will fix it up today will we get rewards for the daily we cannot complete? Laurel and mystic coin for me are the most important.

Same problem here, “The game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time” code 42:1020:9001:4103. Yesterday everything was working fine after the update.
Very often uncontested waypoints appear as contested making it unable to teleport to them till you are in the same zone and making it necessary to teleport to other waypoint in that zone and then to the destination waypoint in the end paying much more for the travel.
It is a very common bug happening to a lot of people, on shatterer there is the same problem, some people just don’t see the chest/can’t loot it even though they contributed a lot into the event and there is no workaround so we just have to wait till they find out what is the cause and patch it. Since game is full of bugs at the moment I don’t think it will happen soon as they have hands full of work.

it is urgent to rework how endgame dungeons works since it is mayor part of endgame content and it helps you gear up. At the present moment dungeons are super bugged, for example Honor of the Waves where on paths 2 and 3 enemies disappear in walls (including the boss) while fighting underwater making it super easy because you still can attack, but you won’t be able to claim your loot from such a monster since you cannot enter noclip mode.
Second thing is bosses and mobs in general do not reset when they cannot attack something so simplify things boss tactics are pretty much the same: get somewhere wher ehe can’t hit you and nuke the crap out of him. Seriously, dev team could watch some videos on youtube with dungeon tactics.
Due to instances being overly extended and minions aggro drop in every party you are forced to exploit bugs (my favourite one is Arah path 2 ship climbing and jumping through bugged textures which gives you slow motion) and do the trash run skipping 90% of the game content, while many players (including me) would like to enjoy that content.
And most annoying: one person leaves- entire party gets kicked from the instance. This is one of the most features thing I’ve seen in a game so far, people very often leave right after killing and speed looting last boss kicking the entire party out of the dungeon and preventing them from looting. Also when you kick someone same thing happens. Of course when you reenter the instance is reset.
