… the longer you push the button
I think it would be great thing if catas, mortars, trebs and cannons would spin faster the longer you push the button. Doing 180 degree spin with treb takes over 9000 minutes to perform. I don’t say make it 1s since it would be to op but I think that atm the turning around with machinery takes way too long.
Reduce the player limit in WvW and create additional WvW instances. What’s the point in having 40vs40 battles if people lag so much they have to hit blindly with spells and aoe (seriously you can see that during big zerg vs zerg encounters).
Limit WvW player limit to like 20 for each world and create additional instances to avoid long queues.
What we need is to hide dead enemies’ nameplates. I have set ir right now to hide allies names and show only enemies names, during zerg vs zerg battles corpses (either teammates’ or enemies’) have the nametag on them making it very dificult to target with mouseover and click so at the end of zerg fight I look for targets with tab, but then even if I target someone I don’t know where he is since the ui is covered with thousands of dead players’ nameplates.
Home instances are something that worked very well in LotRO, I wish they would do it like that or even better.
They can’t kill you either. Neither of you win, or lose out.
And that is the kittening problem, why should you even start fighting with thief if neither of you can win it? Why does this profession exists in the game then? Now you see why does this need reworking? Stealth should be breakable by damage and dots at cost of improving thieves’ survivability so they don’t depend so heavily on being stealthed.
Thieves cannot kill you if they are outnumbered.
And that is not true, it’s easily doable and I run full zerker gear.
The /m spam got unbearable, the looking for guild feature has to be implemented and the /m spammers should got banned. It’s especially annoying in Lion’s Arch when 1 recruitment msg is followed by 10 another and it’s extremely annoying in WvW where you cannot see what other write because some imbeciles keep spamming /m and /t chats with guild recruitment crap, this has to end.

That is so true, in WvW lack of cap would be very OP but in PvE you basically get punished the better you are. I can stack 25 bleeds solo with my nec and then people stack their bleeds and group loses overall damage. They should remove the bleed cap from PvE so you can do the damage you should do, also this would open a way for new pve builds (with condition increased duration).
Good solution would also be caps per character so your bleeds wouldn’t stack with bleeds of the others.
Introduce to the game looking for guild channel or something where people can recruit and those who look for guild can browse for guilds to stop the perma /m spam and punish the spammers.
I play ele and 30% of thieves I encounter in 1v1 in WvW runaway, they just won’t accept their fate, so annoying.
Are you in air when you fight them? I found they treat air ele like a living plague. At least the smart ones did. Back when I played WvW, I met some awesome thief players on opposing team many times in battle… and they pretty much always jumped on me second I switched from air. There’s your bait?
I play d/d, d/s and staff, but when solo roaming I usually run around with d/d so it’s pretty heavy CC and a lot of dmg, sometimes I switch to scepter MH, depends on enemy. Newbies/lowbies get stunlocked to death. Thieves don’t pose a threat since you cannot be bursted down, so they usually run away. I don’t even engage versus thieves anymore since it is a waste of time so very often I run around EB like I don’t care with one poor thief on my back who is unable to get me below 70% hp, pretty funny, they are quite stubborn.
I don’t get your problem. If you are good what do you care if you cannot runaway from encounter? If you kill your opponent with no problems it doesn’t even affect you, why the crying?
Okay, I see people get overexcited and miss the point. I want something to counter stealth, it’s not okay you engage in a fight and you cannot win it because when low on hp thief will use perma stealthing and run away technics to run away and you won’t even see him. Doesn’t matter if you dot them, dmg them when in stealth, cc them or whatever, it’s just too op runaway mechanic. I myself have a thief and I know how it works, since I laughed everytime when I ran away and people couldn’t catch up with me. Switched to ele though, much more fun.
Stealth needs nerfing, at least make dots or dmg cancel it or put 30s revealed on thief when he runs away and is still in combat, for example being 1500 yards away from last target, you can even remove revealed while attacking from stealth to compensate, it’s a joke anyways.

Actually I’m asking to buff them up, not nerf them. Right now thieves are no challenge at all to kill.

what running away like a little kitten has to do with distraction and baiting? thieves need stealth as optional skill with high cd and higher dps, now they deal low dps and stealth is just op, but what it gives with no dmg?
As it is now there are two types of thieves: noob stompers and runners.
In WvW all thieves I see either gank lowbies/noskills or run away for their life if faced vs someone skilled. It is so annoying chasing them around and being unable to do a thing due to perma stealth, their escape mechanics are just too op. Please rework thieves nerfing stealth and adding them some dmg or give us more tools to counter stealth. Right now we only have trap and ranger’s pet I guess. I’m not using fast cast ground targeting; it may be that, since the spell is cast as soon as you click it, the skill has time to finish casting before the auto-attack would interrupt it.
Yep, this is it. I just checked again and when I unmark fast cast ground targeting I have the same issue, has to be the reason you said, spell is targeted in between autoattacks. Try getting used to fast ground targeting until they fix this, personally I think it is much more effective then point and click but that’s just my opinion
Also something working bad shouldn’t be a reason to force every player to use one determined option if they can choose between two.
Now I also wonder if this happens with other professions. We have it confirmed with ele, out of curiosity I tried with my thief using cluster bomb and it doesn’t happen. The thing is cluster bomb has 0.5s casting time and shatterstone has 2s casting time and I think there is the problem, arenanet should look into it but as usual we got no response.

Happens with Shatterer as well, he spawns with hp bar around 80% (at least today on Underworld it did)
Happened to me few times, no idea what was the cause tho, seems it was caused by switching windows from game to e-mail client, web browser, etc. Relog solves the problem for me, but then you get kicked from WvW for example and it is possible you won’t get back due to the queue, etc.
Do I understand you correct? You are saying that there are US servers hosting instances for European parties? Is this the cause of horrible lags in WvW as well? Sometimes WvW runs smooth, but during big zerg vs zerg fights it starts to lag as hell, it’s pretty funny tho when you see people shooting around missing everyskill just counting on their best luck
That is kind of worrisome, as I do swear a bit myself, but the game isn’t rated M, so we are still bound by that and the EULA, if there is anything regarding profanity in the EULA that is.
actually the game is rated M and there is a warning on the box because of “bad language”. if someone got banned for swearing it was because of flaming others, not swearing as you talk.

Actually I did buy few just to check it and no, the number avaiable doesn’t go up, I still cannot buy more then 30 something avaiable.
The way how this mechanic works like now is extremely annoying and I think hunters should be penalized for their pet dying in WvW. What happens now is they send hordes of animals as cannon fodder at enemy zerg and you cannot do a thing, because even if you kill those pests in a brief moment they send at you the swap animal. As it doesn’t bug me so much in matter of dmg pets deal since it is a joke, there is always a thousand of them running around the battlefield causing additional traffic and causing a UI garbage effect.
Either buff the pets and penalize rangers for losing his animal (shared hp, whatever) so they dont send them for a certain death just because his pet doesn’t do anything useful anyways or remove the pets from wvw giving hunters additional skill or buff.
At the present moment in WvW rangers’ pets seem to be very useless and their only purpose is to annoy enemy players since they neither def, neither attack, neither serve as utility.
I would say 400 is bugged number since I can buy 36 runes at the moment (everything there is) but when I try to buy more I cannot due to the item not being avaiable. What you reffer to is the number of supply and demand combined, count it on calculator and you will see.

Before the BLT maintenance I listed one sigil for 5 gold 30 silver, it didn’t got sold and after the maintenance the price dropped to 5 gold 3 silver being the cheapest one with price range reaching 5 gold 19 silver, the one I listed doesn’t appear and cannot be bought. Of course I got charged the fee when I listed the item, and I didn’t get that fee back. Noone was able to buy it and price range dropped do to the item not being listed on the trading post. Please investigate and consider returning the fees back.
You cannot salvage:
- Back items
- Some starting equipement
- Town Clothing
- Items bought with karma
- Items bought from vendors for gold (it was possible earlier but got patched recently)
Exceptions:
You can salvage cultural armor though it is bought with coins.
I already wrote about it https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Asymmetric-shoulder-armor/first#post1555504 and as far as I know they have a lot of other problems before they address this “case” (since you cannot call it a bug). Once the armor/weapon clipping bug will get solved maybe they will think about it.
IMHO skills like Warrior can carry 1 additional point of supplies due to hist imba strength, Engineer being able to repair 1% more efficient due to his engineering skills or guardian receiving 1% less dmg from champions (without spending any WvW points ofv) would be ok, but what you suggest is very OP and will most likely destroy the WvW concept as it is, since rezing mesmers with thieves as mentioned earlier will become very common tactic.
Seems to me you are solo roamer thief who is looking for something new. I don’t blame you since thieves are pathetic in 1v1 WvW and basically you can only noobstomp, but try rolling other character or go full berserk SB and stick with your zerg group so there is some use of you rather then reworking WvW.
With my elementalist from my traits I have selected “Soothing Disruption” from Water traits tree and “Cleansing Water” from the same trait tree. When I’m immobilized and I cast Lightning Flash (Cantrip) I remove the immobilized icon, but I still cannot move, sometimes even getting my entire UI blocked and this is happening very often. Please investigate it since I often get myself killed using this skill rather than saving my butt. It happens very ofthen when getting hit while immobilized (for example immobilized + thousand blades combo, if casting Ligtning Flash while getting hit it clears the immobilize icon but I still cannot move being an easy target).
Just RTL to critters and problem is solved, I don’t have any problem using it after the nerf. You still have so many possibilities, it is hard to get killed. I usally switch to water and cast 4 + 5 + dodge to clear all my conditions and get full hp, then teleport away and switch to air, RTL is usually not needed at this point anymore since with PTV gear I’m pretty hard to kill anyways, but when this is needed I use it to get to some neutral monster or even better critter, you still have 20s cd and you can continue your escape.
Why is it even called pvp when it has nothing to do with pvp? ATM it’s about capturing bases and people failing to understand it, always fight somewhere in the middle of the map instead of capturing bases, or keep attacking solo a base defended by 4 enemies when the other enemy controlled base is defenseless.
We need a rework that would extend the time it takes to neutralize the base and capture it. At the present moment I can go ninja base defended by 5 enemies turning on shield and tornado, till it ends I get the point and run away. Extending capture and neutralize times would force players to fight to defend the point, now it doesn’t compensate to run to a contested point since you can capture other one meanwhile and basically without fighting you can carry the entire game.
Some pvp focused game modes would be nice as well, for example capture the flag or king of the hill with 1 hill, maybe something dota style including siege engines we already have in WvW, something that will focus on mixing defending and attacking instead of avoiding the fight entire game and winning. This just doesn’t make sense.
Please enable report for akitteng in spvp, it happens very often people enter the game and either don’t rez after dying, don’t move from the spawn point, or basically akitten some shady corner on the map. It should be able to report these players banning them from entering spvp matches for X time.
At the present moment I report many of them for botting, because sometimes it is a character that just runs around doing nothing good and even not attacking the enemies, simply said many of them look like played by bots.

Doesn’t appear to actually work for Grenth. Guested to two different servers and teh event was never actually uncontested.
It uses GW2 APIs wich is data fetched directly from Arena’s servers so I do not think there is posibility of it not working since it updates itself as soon as events’ status change. I bought my exotics for karma for two different characters guesting two different realms and it worked in both cases.
You either use it wrong or the event got contested as soon as you guested the realm (which would be a case of extremly bad luck in your case).
Can someone explain how to use that link a few posts up..? Maybe it’s just me, but I’m not getting it.

for grenth choose Cursed Shore, in filters mark everything besides “success” and as event type select group event. Then you just have to go through the realm list till it says: [Grenth] Use portals to fight shades, slay the Champion Risen Priest of Grenth, and protect Keeper Jonez Deadrun Success.

They do get done, there are a ton of websites using the new APIs which show which servers, what state the events are in (inactive, warmup, success, fail, etc). Just use one of these, find a server doing it, and guest to it:

I’m so happy I don’t have to go back there never again, seriously Orrian areas should be reworked, but reworked to provide some level of enjoynment, not to make them easy farm mode zones like it was done with the southsun.

Only 5-10% of the gamers have more than 5k achievement points. I think 5k would be enough to buy a precursor.
And that is because most of the people doesn’t care about the achivement points. If you will give precursors for 5k achiv points people will start to farm them, as for now it doesn’t make any sense to farm the achievement points on purpose.
Noone does the Orrian temples’ events. I leveled up 70-80 doing pre events for Balthazar and the Balthazar itself never got done, people only do the prechain, get to the rally point and leave it.
The second one is Grenth’s temple. Though there are people on the map noone does neither the pre event chain, neither the main event itself. I need to get the karma soldier items and I cannot since I am the only one doing the pre chain, even after doing all the events in the chain noone comes for Grenth itself. This is so frustrating.
It seems you have solved problem of Southsun Cove being a ghost map at the cost of Orr. Please consider reworking said events to encourage people to do them adding additional storyline or mini events just like in southsuns. Eventually delete the pre events so we can just come for the main event which would occur once every 3 hours like dragons. or something like that. Thank you.
Edit. Of course you can always look for uncontested temple on other realm but then, where is the fun in that?

Please consider reworking AI during escort events or rework these types of events.
During escort events it is very annoying that NPCs pull themselve on everything there is around. It is the most frustrating during events like balthazar pre event when dead NPCs cause the event failure. Why? Because single NPC is running with no life attacking tendrils who just smack him in the face, after getting up he repeats his melee efforts to destroy it. Even if you destroy one tendril the entire NPC party pulls themselve on the tendril before the one resulting in going back instead of progressing, mobs respawn and sometimes it creates an yoyo effect and the NPC party runs around from point A to B losing precious HP on their righteous crusade against vicious tendrils.

As you can see there is like 20 enemies and i see names of 17 regardless the fact I have unmarked the options to show the names since I bound it under ctrl and alt, so why is that? is it a bug? is it something you are aware of and working to improve name showing/solve it? I really would like to get an answer instead of warnings to my account, thank you very much in advance.
