The servers cannot handle large RP events…
Same here. please change title of this thread, call it login problem or something.
Error 42 means the servers have connectivity issues. Example, cannot connect to the log-in.
Sorry Anet! We accidentally your servers!
It maaaaaay be our fault, because it happened just as we entered Diessa from Black Citadel with a group of +20 people. Piken Square and our RP event broke the game. XD -whistles-

The log-in servers suddenly went down and the game can no longer connect to them for logging back in again.
It is only in PvP and is called Masquerade, sharing the same icon as the PvE Masquerade set. Guessing it is some kind of bug. Though not sure if it being only in PvP is a bug.
Where have you found this information about there being Ascended weapons?
There aren’t any, that I know of, unless they ninja’d some announcement out that hardly anyone’s seen.
I think the OP is confused.
That is what I am guessing. I’m keeping my eyes on the news and updates, as well as the blog and I cannot remember reading anything about Ascended weapons coming out.
Where have you found this information about there being Ascended weapons?
Guild-Wars2.info: Are there any plans to create special merchants, quests, mini-games, events, daily activities, etc. in the home instance?
Izzy: Yes, we do have some plans to improve these but we’re not actively working on this right now.
This is actually a bit insulting. They were among the things advertised as best features in the early works of the game. They were also once claimed to ´not be ready on release but added soon´.
Now we hear they´re not even working on them? What a slap in the face.
The personal home instance was in fact one of the reasons I picked this game…
Agree. The only mini-game that made it into the beta and through launch is Keg Brawl. All the other things they talked about are nowhere to be seen. =/
“Guild-Wars2.info: Certain PvP game types in the original Guild Wars, like Heroes’ Ascent and GvG, were favorites amongst PvP players. Can you discuss why these game types did not make it into Guild Wars 2?
Izzy: Mainly one of the big issues we wanted to avoid with Guild Wars 2 was creating too many games types, which leads to a fragmented player base and adds a lot of complexity when balancing. This tends to lead to many game-types being left out as it’s impossible to develop new content and features for all of them in a timely manner."
It is just that, there’s only ONE type right now. Adding something like Capture the Flag and Team death match would not be too many types, in my opinion. Variation is always good to keep things interesting.
So I can just remove them?
Ya, they should really do something about the loot from vets and champs. I rarely bother killing them anymore because they give me nothing. I mean, I rarely get a green from the Dragon chests. All blues all day long. The very very few times I get one rare, it feels like a miracle happening.
I checked the GW2 folder in my documents and found two files, Corrupt-a7cca52f.dat and Corrupt-a22da0c9.dat. I am assuming these are corrupt files, so should I just remove them and how did they get there? There is also a log-file with the name Corrupt.
Are your items in invisible bags/safe boxes or similar? If so, they will not show up in TP and at vendor’s sell tab.
It does have to be auto-run either. A lot of times, just holding down a movement key while trying to pick up an item causes your character to keep running and it takes a few seconds before you regain control to stop it.

Last time it happened to me, I noticed afterwards that my local.dat file was 50mb. I deleted the file and it has now been staying on 12mb for a few days. Will keep an eye on it an see how big it is if I were to get the problem again.
I have always been able to interact with it, once all the cows are gone. If the cows are still there, the cattlepult is used to throw them away so you cannot use it.
Noticed it directly after the Wintersday patch came out. Seems like a nice looking building to me.
I was at 11 for the monthly, went to Harathi to begin Fawcett’s Bounty and it jumped to 13 for the monthly.
That is because there are two puzzle achievements to be had at that place. Fawcett’s Bounty and Fawcett’s Revenge.
You know, you can move the “move on to the next fractal”-window out of the way. I usually drag it off to one side, because it is always blocking my inventory when I am trying to sort it out before we move on to the next Fractal.
Drop rates are very low atm. I’m happy if I can get vendor trash from a mob. I’ve tried to gather up around 10 mobs and killing them all off, and most of the times, I can loot maybe 2 or 3 of them and get a piece of vendor trash from them. Getting a crafting material is huge, so is getting a blue item.
Branded Mine did not count for me, nor did Conundrum Cubed and Professor Portmatt’s Lab. I was keeping track of the achievement and it did not update.
Happened to me again today, in WvW. Only temporarily solving it by restarting the game. Trying to change the sound settings in game just causes the game to crash completely for me.
The armor is the t3 cultural heavy armor for Charr and the sword can be obtained through the Hall of Monuments if you have 10 points.
I do agree with the op to a certain extent. Unfortunately ‘Holiday’ content is disposable. It’s here for a few days to a week then its gone. when you see the amount of work involved you start to ask yourself wether the time in development was worth the return in valu to the game and the community.
You do know that they have different development teams working with different things? Like one for the holiday events, one for more world changing event, updates etc. While one team takes time working with some coming holiday event, another team can meanwhile work with content that will come out after the holiday and so on. They are not one big team working on just one thing at the time before moving on to the next.
I can only speak for myself, but I know that I prefer having to wait a bit for content and let them make it good, than having them rush out half-finished things to give us as much as possible in the shortest amount of time as possible.
So, I am just curious what you guys would think of legendary armor. And do not start a fight about if it should be soulbound or not, like all those posts about the weapons. Just what you would think of the idea of being able to create different kind of legendary armor with their own unique look and such.
Things that are to come:
• Revamping all of our existing dungeons (Story and Explorable versions) through rebalance and overhauled encounters.
• Adding new dungeons to the Fractal of the Mists.
• Adding more variation to creatures, enhancing our open world scaling system, as well as evolving many events and experiences across Tyria.
• Fixing and improving existing content throughout the game, and better tying it into the overall sense of player progression within Guild Wars 2.
• Building on the Southsun Cove’s persistent content.
• Adding new Guild content and Guild progression features.
• Continuing to evolve PvP into an E-sport as outlined here: https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/structured-pvp-iceberg/
• Adding brand new content to World vs. World as well as adding new reward progression.
• Continuing to build upon the story and adventures of Guild Wars 2.

To me, that seems like content enough for a while.
I don’t care if people would think Legendaries mean nothing, or that people can buy them with a lot of gold. All I know is that I will feel good once I have crafted it myself.
That is all I care about.
This has been mentioned before, but since it is still around and starting to drive me nuts, I will just take it up again.
Sometimes when you run towards an object you can pick up, like the Snow in Toypocalypse or a summoned ele weapon or any other object on the ground that you can pick up. Anyway, sometimes when you run towards said object and presses the key to pick it up, your character ignores the action and keeps running forward and having you lose control over it for a few seconds. Pressing keys to make your character stop or turn does not work at all. It gives you the control back after a few steps so you can turn around, run back to the object, stop and then press the key to pick it up.
I usually have this glitch every now and then out in the world and in instances, but while doing the Toypocalypse, I have been noticing it almost every time I am to pick up an object. The most frustrating moments are when I am in the Cliffside Fractal and tries to pick up the hammer, and my characters just keeps running past it and over the edge of the platform. Not fun.
1 Frame
50 glue
50 wad
1 glittering dust
You will get the frame back until you get the endless tonic, then it is consumed.
Um, they know their own game is called “Guild” Wars, right? Why is it that pretty much every mini-game ignores guild/group preferences?
Not to drag it up again, but it irks me everytime I see this… “Guild Wars” the name has nothing to do with guilds of players. It is from the lore, about the war between the three guilds Acalon, Kryta and Orr.
Apart from that, I was disappointed to see that we cannot join with our friends.
It was said on the forum that ArenaNet said you could get extra frames when Tixx is in LA. How?
I don’t think we will get gears, since they said you will only be able to make 2 out of the 5 minis.
No one knows yet.
Mmorpg.com was streaming with some ArenaNet guys and they said that you will be able to get the frames again tomorrow when Tixx lands in Lion’s Arch.
My Wintersday will be complete if it is so.
So I used my Griffon frame to create the mini, then the day after, I noticed on the wiki that you could use the frame to create an endless tonic! Had I known, I would have used the frame for that and bought the mini from the gem store instead.
Is there a way to get the frame back so I can create a tonic instead, or to get the tonic in any other way? They should be on the gem store too… -bashes self for doing stuff before searching through the whole wiki-
But can they use it? The blueprints are soulbound. I can’t even use blueprints on one character obtained by another of mine.
People did this in the beta too. Then in the next beta/stress test, people did it again and got teleported to the Rata Sum prison. :P Seems like it is still the case.
What do you mean with dropping so others can pick up? Do you mean taking the blueprint from your inventory and drag it outside? Because that just asks you if you want to delete the item. And if you place the structure on the ground from the blueprint, others can just build on it and not pick it up.
I am not sure what you are talking about.
Had I know I could make an endless tonic from the frame, I would have done that and bought the plush from the store.
Take the mail you got about wintersday, for example. It was long and you had to scroll down to read all of it. The mails the NPCs send to you can be long, but when you type a mail to another player, it is awfully short. You can’t even fill up the box with a message. I would really like us to be able to send longer in-game mails to each other.
Did you use Deposit Collectable and the doll was not in an invisible bag? If so, the mini is in the collectable tab in your bank.
“I do not want people to be able to buy precursor, because I do not have enough money to buy one and have to farm events in hopes of one dropping.”
That is pretty much the same thing. If people want to sell their legendary, then let them. 9500 g? Does it even cost that much to make a legendary? It is probably cheaper to craft one yourself. And if people want to buy gems for real money to get gold, then let them spend their money on pixels. I have 1700 gems and last time i checked, I would get 23g from all that. I would not spend enough real money to get 9500 g. I rather take my sweet time crafting my own legendary and let those with money buy them without me caring much about it. I know that I will feel better about my weapon, knowing that I crafted it myself.
And another note: You can still preview all the weapons, even though most of them clip through almost every armor! So I do not buy that clipping is really that much of an issue. I do not care if the coat I am previewing is clipping through the light skirt I am wearing. I can just take off said skirt and preview again to get an idea of how the coat would look like.
If you haven’t already, please sign the suggestion https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/suggestions/Bring-Previewing-back/ Let’s make them bring preview back.
I do not care about clipping issues in the preview window! I want to get an idea of how the armor will look like before I sell or salvage it, or decide to keep it for another character! I do not want to have to fill my bags, run to the bank all the time, leave the armor in some free slot, log over to another character, run to bank, preview, decide what I want to to with the armor, log back to first character.
No. Just no.
Bring it back!
