Got one on my fifth or sixth run, and a friend had two in less than 10 runs or something.
He is still bugged. Immune to the pillars and keeps getting stuck, running on the same place all the time.
That is part of an event. You have to run and try to dodge the worms until all the golem parts are collected, then you can run around freely.
What monthly are you talking about? Both the dungeon and the Lost Shores area are permanent.
If you pay attention, you see that their shell starts to lose bits and pieces and when the healt of the mobs disappear, you see that the rest of the shell disappear too, leaving to you kill off the more defensless mob for good.
I do not mind the mechanic, but maybe it would be easier for some to understand if the shell had it’s own health bar above the mob’s health bar.
I second this. I would like it to compare a spear in my inventory to a spear I have equipped, not compare it to my harpoon gun. Or a harpoon gun to my spear. It never seems to compare similar items with each other.
Is your mail full? You can only have a maximum of 10 mails from other players.
After the weekends events, it seems clear that something has to be done about the fact that you can see all the players on the screen, but the mobs fail to load in and become visible. Some of them became visible if they were more or less right ontop of you, other started to appear when they were dead and people cleared the area to move on to the next one. I am sure no one thinks that getting killed by an invisible mob is not that fun.
So if you are to make more world events like this, consider making it so that you can see only a certain amount of people within the event area, the rest will go invisible to you so the mobs can load in instead. I rather fight beside invisible people and only seeing half of the group that is there and battle visible mobs, than seeing a hoard with people spamming AoEs in hopes of hitting any of the mobs we know are in the middle of everything, but can’t be seen.

If you pay attention, the first time you “kill” it, you take away its shell and making it more vulnerable and easier to kill for good. Can’t remember where it was said, but ArenaNet has said that we have to get rid of the shell.
Me and my friends have found different events all over the place. Just explore around and you will starts stumble over them sooner or later.
Sat around, Karak attacked LA after 15 minutes. Sat around for like 30/45 minutes before the boat guy popped up. We arrived on an empty shore with Magnus and Cacha and nothing else. Missed all that completely it seems. So now we are just exploring around and have no idea what to really do in this phase. In times like these, I wish I had one of those quest logs. “Do this, turn in, continue with this” and so forth. Just to know where to start.

I see one trebuchet and it has been finished for a while. No event. Anything more we should wait for?
On our way up to the second platform with the colossus, the one with the wind traps, I fell off the edge while holding the hammer. Both me and the hammer ended up at the check point, only I was instantly dead while the others who fell off went into a downed state. Also, I was invisible. No one could see me lying there, so I had to use a ress orb in order to get back up.
I know you can’t join as a party, but me and my friends join up as a party and join the same map, though most of the times we end up against each other and only a few times we all end up on the same time.
Does anyone know if parties will be allowed to stick together in the future?

Does not seem conflicted to me. As I understand it, if you get to the part of the chain where you have to talk to Noll before 12 pm Nov 17, you are fine and can still continue on after that when they have fixed him. It says you have to complete the chain leading to him before that time, not the part past him.
But I do hope they fix Noll soon, because he is stuck in a downed state on Piken Square

I waited around for a while and then he suddenly turned hostile. Defeated him and then immediately poked his box and got the item.

[SWE] Card Approval Failed, even though I have been buying gems with it before.
We have relogged, restarted, left group, joined up, running in and out like crazy and still it refuses to work. When someone runs into the dungeon, no join-message pops up for the others and when they run in after, they randomly get into their own instance of the dungeon, or together with one or two of the group. We are not able to make it work so that the whole party ends up in the same instance.
But I have seen that message several times and I have never seen the influence increased after it. If the guild had been receiving that much influence, we would have a lot by now.
I’ve have searched around, but can’t seem to find what this is. It does not seem to give the influence directly and I don’t understand if I have to claim it somehow or if it is just the history log being all glitched? Because we have never gotten the influence these gifts claim to be giving us. Or am I just understanding this completely wrong? Halp! XD

The jumping puzzle you are talking about works like this; for each level, you need to take a different path to find the crystal/control panel-thing that gives you an attunement that allows you to travel through the gate and onto the next level.
And the whole charm about the puzzles is that they are hidden. I found one by accident by falling down a small hole behind and under some bushes while I was kiting trolls around. It just makes the experience more exciting. But if you do not want to look for them yourself, the Wiki is listing known puzzles if you search for a zone.
I have this problem too. The animation freezes in mid-step and the character comes to a halt until I tap a movement key to snap her out of it.

Since it has been a few weeks since we gave an update on this, just wanted to quickly update where we stand. We recently hired an entire new team of people with one mission in mind: operation bot destruction.
They’ve been getting everything in place to accomplish our goal of making botting, hacking, spamming, and malicious behavior as non-existent as possible in Gw2. In the last few weeks, over 10,000 bot accounts were banned from the game alone. Another area of massive improvement has been in account security, where our two-factor authentication as well as your password changes have led to account thefts dropping to a tiny rate. A vast majority of account thieves use those accounts to run bots and/or perform RMT transactions, so our serious beefing up of account security has led to fewer bots, and most importantly fewer stolen accounts. That being said, we have massive improvements on the way in the next couple of weeks that help us detect, verify, and remove botters.
What we don’t want to do is have someone report you as botting, we ban the account, the bot appeals, and we have no data to prove they were botting on file so we have to give them the account back. Ensuring we have 100% clear data on bots that’s incredibly easy for our GM team to quickly verify, and when an appeal is submitted verify within seconds if the person was truly botting is our most important goal. We don’t want to ban people who were not botting, and we want to keep the people who are permanently locked out.
Bottom line: We’re doing ok, but we know we can and need to do much better on this front and are putting massive resources behind ensuring we have a permanent solution to this issue. You’ll see a dramatic improvement in this area in the next few weeks as our remaining detection and bot destruction tools and staff come online.
We’ll continue to keep updating on this front as we go forward, but rest assured we are aware of issues folks are raising and take them incredibly seriously. From FOV to bots, account restoration to more awesome stuff to do at level 80 we have teams working like mad on all of these fronts.
It was around during the early stages of the game, like in the demo and possibly the beta. Now, it is gone, but the Norn female has it.
I discovered it was gone when I was playing around in the cc with human female and tried to create an Elona-like human and was looking for that style but could not find it. I like the dark skin and strong face structure with shaved head.
My suggestion is simply this; please bring back that hairstyle for the human females.
The non exotic is supposed to be standard. The second question, I cannot answer.
Though you are not the first one to miss that. A lot of people asked around about it during the first week or so after the launch.
Try the second tab. That is where the exotic, dungeon specific armor is.
Hold the mouse cursor at the right edge of the minimap so it turns into a hand. Grab and drag down to the bottom right corner. Done.

I’m hoping for an event to help rebuilding the statue. Maybe it could run for a couple of weeks or so and after each part of the chain, you could see how the statue builds up more and more. Would be fun.

It might not be a bug. Colors can have different hue depending on the material it is on. I can have the same color on my whole armor and it would have different hues depending on if it is on something that look like mails and something that looks like leather and so on.

I am not. I loved how the statue fell apart completely and the mad realm opened. How the Mad King tried to crawl out and Tassi attacking him with spells until he retreated down again, leaving the portal open behind him.
Wow, it is still like that? o.O I could not enter when I was there in the head-start (or one of the days just after launch).
