Charr necro, no boost. Total time maybe an hour. Number of tries, unknown.
I have my weapon swap bound to § and draw/put away weapon on <. It still says so in the keybindings, but whenever I press < now after the latest patch, I swap weapons. If I go to key bindings and press < in any of the fields, it types § instead. And it is only there. It types < in the chat and everywhere else on my computer. It only seems to be wrong in the key bindings.
I am using a regular Scandinavian keyboard.
Edit: And it reads my Alt Gr key as Left Ctrl

I agree with all that. It would also be great if the golem could just re-appear when you exit the water.
I’ve heard earlier that it is not a bug in the game, but something with some mouse registering single click to double-click randomly. So if you left-click once on an item, it may act like a double-click. Someone said it is mainly the Naga mice to appear to have that problem.
It was not someone from ArenaNet who said it, though, so do not take my words for it. It could most likely just be something with the game and not with the mice at all.
I have seen this event being stuck ever since I found it in the beta/some of the later stress tests. Piken Square server here. Have never seen it work. She has always been stuck in the ogre camp with the dogs circling around her.
It would have been cool though if those long hairs on the female tail turned into flames, just like the tuft on the male tail has turned to fire here.
I love it when an underwater weapon drops for me and it has something like “… of ogre slaying”. I have yet found any underwater Ogres. Where are my underwater ogres?
RP-er from Piken Square here, and I have to say that it works great to RP without those rules.
- Wear town clothes in town | What if you are role playing a soldier, coming in from the field with dire news? He won’t have the time to stop and change clothes.
- Don’t run in town | Same as above, for example. Also, you have to be tolerant that people do not want to RP all the time and might want to run around doing other stuff as well.
- Naming convention | It does feel great seeing people with IN-character names and all that. But since the RP servers are unofficial, one has to be tolerant to non-RPers.
From my experience, it works great being on one of the unofficial RP-servers and finding groups to roleplay with. Have not felt the need to have an official one. I remember in WoW, on the official RP-servers. A lot of people had off-names and fooled around everywhere. All you could do was to just ignore them. And also, it probably is a lot of extra job for the devs to keep poking every person on the server who has a name that does not fit.
The Citadel of Flame armor set turns the female Charr tail into a male’s tail.
Bound for a lot of confusion. :P
Outcasts that have a capital citadel of Hrangmer, along with the Citadel of Flame. One could think that they would be able to forge good armor and such for themselves. But maybe it is only the Flame groups skulking around in Ascalon that need to steal their equipment.

I saw this on the forum a week or two ago and someone from ArenaNet stating that you should not be able to list buys for under the vendor price.
People are still listing things they want to buy for under the vendor price of the item, making it impossible for us to sell directly to them because the Trading Post do not allow us to sell things for under the vendor price.
I would love to be able to stow my pet and then choose when I want to take it out. It is annoying how it pops up as soon as I take the slightest falling damage, then it runs off to the side or far ahead of me and aggros the mobs around. If it has to be out, I wikitten could stay by my side and not try to run off by itself like that.
At least my skills are not set on cooldown when my pet dies, like in GW1.
Female Charr have fluffy tails, male Charr not. I can’t play a human male with breasts, no matter how much I might have wanted it.
“Vanilla is in fact a tier 1 material, which makes no sense” Maybe, but it is used in lvl 400 recipes too. Makes more sense then. And it also depends on how many people wanting the item. Demand and all that. Then it does not really matter what tier the material is. If a lot of people want to get hold of it, it is more likely for you to be able to sell it at a higher price, just because the demand for the item is high.

Some shoulder pieces looks great on Charr, then… There are those that looks all awkward and sticks right out from the shoulders and flaps back and forth like some stiff wings when you run, or those that are floating over your shoulders.
It would be great if they eventually were adjusted to fit Charr more properly.
Ran TA yesterday and if was the first run of the day for the whole group. Everyone but me and my friend got 60 tokens, we got 30. Same thing happened the day before yesterday. Everyone but the two of us got 60 tokens. The first time we ran TA was a day or two before the update, and then all of us got 30 tokens.
In their HQ on Stormbluff Isle, Bloodtied Coast. If you get through the blue portal door with the guard.
In my bank, I have a stack of 30 dungeon tokens after running TA a couple of days ago. And in another slot, I have another stack of 30 tokens from the run yesterday. My problem is, that I can’t put these two stacks together and is wondering if that is a bug or if it is intentional? Because if it is intentional, I am just gonna stop running explorable mode, because I do not want to fill up all my bank slots with small stacks of the same kind of tokens.
If you read the recent updates, at least the coin was removed from the reward. Don’t know about the exp, though.
Correct me if I am wrong, but did not spirits in GW1 affect you constantly for as long as they were up? Not just “This spirit has a chance to maybe affect you”. At least I know that I was under constant affect of my foe’s spirits as long as I was in the area of them.
Yeah, I can’t remember pets much from WoW since I did not play hunter that often, but I do want to remember that they did not die quite as often. Sometimes, I wish the mob could keep aggro on me and ignore the pet, since I can stay alive much better than my pet can do. If it aggros on my pet, the pet goes down in a few hits (unless it is my bear) and I can’t constantly heal it either.
But if mobs can run away from my AoE circles, then it does not seem that unfair that the pet can run out of the mob’s AoE. Or just being more resistant against AoE damage.
I did Twilight Arbor the first time today and me and another one got 30. The rest in the group got 60. We all did another path a couple of days ago.
We had this problem a lot during the beginning of the game, and it seems to be back now.
Sometimes when we have been in an instanced area, the portrait turns black and the dot on the minimap disappears whenever one of us gets outside the range of the other and when entering an instance, the other does not get a question of it wants to join or not. It only fixes itself if we leave the party and form it again every time it happens.
Also, when guesting someone story, not all the conversation windows the owner views shows up and sometimes, the cut scenes fail to trigger for the one guesting.
Edit: reforming the party does not seem to work anymore either.

They do not affect the personal story, they just decide what starting piece you will have. Like elemental head gear for Elementalist, shoulders for Guardian and so forth. Just cosmetic.
I am sorry if this has been taken up before, but… I would love it if pets could try to move out of AoEs! As it is now, it is just standing there and it goes “tick, tick, tick, dead”. Every time a foe summons an AoE under my pet, I have to call said pet back to me to get it to move out of the damage circle and then send it pack at the foe from another direction so it does not run right back into the AoE.
As far as I have seen, all the other professions have a trail that reduces their falling damage by 50% and releases something on the impact. Poison cloud, muddy ground, blinding powder and so forth. But I have not found anything like that on the Elementalist. Why is that? Was it forgotten or can they achieve the same in another way?
I saw this posted as a bug or something before and that ArenaNet said they would look into it. But that was a while ago now, and still people are able to list things they want to buy under the vendor price, thus making it impossible for me to sell directly to them because the Trading Post won’t let me sell things for under the vendor price.
Does anyone know if this is still being worked on? Can’t they just remove all the “I want to buy this” listings that are under the vendor price and let people put it up again and then not being able to place and offer below the vendor price? Because it is really annoying when they can put up buys for below the price, but you can’t sell to them.
I know how the discovery works. It is just that I have tried to make different kind of shoulder pads and insignias, but so far nothing has made shoulders called Leather, like all the other items in the set.
All the other items in the set uses components called Coarse (created with wool and coarse leather, and cotton insignias. However, if I create coarse shoulder paddings and such and puts it together with a cotton insignia, it creates Outlaw shoulders. And right now, both thin and coarse seems to be creating Outlaw shoulders, while Thin components on the other parts creates Outlaw and Coarse creates Leather.
Hm, maybe it is just named wrong? Since the Outlaw shoulders created with Thin components have another look than the Outlaw shoulders with Coarse components. I noticed that now. That all my shoulders with Coarse and cotton insignias have one look, and the Thin with wool insignias have another.
I have tried to make make different insignias and shoulder components, but nothing seems to work. All the other sets have pieces going Seeker, Outlaw, Leather, Rascal, Prowler etc up though the levels. But, I can’t seem to find out how to make the shoulders in the leather set.
Am I missing something or is it intended to not be there?
The thing that bothers me most about armor on Charr is the shoulders. At least on medium armor, since that is the only thing I have used when it comes to Charr so far. A lot of them are just these big ugly pieces that hovers a bit over your shoulders and I always switch them for the HoM skin or just hide them.
I actually thought that Warband Support would summon the NPCs you had gathered to your warband, or at least your sparring partner. Disappointed…
I made this suggestion during one of the betas, but I guess I can just post it up again since it got some good response from others back then.
My suggestion is this, that it would be cool to learn new weapon skills as you go through the game and that they would work like Utility skills.
Say you are a warrior with a greatsword and you quickly unlock your 5 weapon skills. You then have those five same skills on the sword throughout the whole game. Same abilities, same animations. Even if you can switch between weapons, it can eventually be a bit dull to have the same all the time if you happen to favor a certain weapon. Would it not be nice then to be able to learn new weapon skills and be able to swap them out when not in combat.
Just as en example. Take the no 5 skill on Warrior Greatsword; Rush. What if you could learn a new ability for no 5 and switch out that Rush to that ability, that does something slightly different and have another animation. Say, a kind of leap for example.
Maybe you should not be able to switch your No 2 out to Rush, but that you learn new abilities for 1 and 2 and so forth and can only switch out ability 2 for the new ability 2 you learned.
I think it would give some more variation in the play and also, you would really be able to make Your build, with your Utility skills and weapon abilities of choice. Maybe you could just learn the new abilities as you play the game and use your weapon a lot, just like you learn weapon skills right now, or there might be some skill challenges.
Are you talking about the jagged edges? Do you have Anti-Aliasing on?
Look at the hind feet when jumping. When the hands are over the edge and the feet are at the edge, then it is a good time to jump. It goes after the feet, just like with the two-legged races.
I played GW1 from the start, but only have 11 points in my HoM. Because I have been taking longer breaks, playing every now and then and not felt like farming titles and such (except for that Defender of Ascalon).
Do I think it is unfair that I have less points than someone who bough the game a year ago and played to get all the points? No. If I had wanted all the points, I would have played more and tried to get those points. I find the HoM to be completely fair. If you played the first game and worked for those points, you deserve the reward for them.
As it has been said everywhere; it is just skins. Special looking skins that makes you no more powerful than anyone else.
It’s because it is a Safe box.
“Items in this box will never appear in a sell-to-vendor list and will not move when inventory is sorted. "
I opened 25 loot bags and got 46 sticks of butter out of it. If I had gotten 46 cloth/leather or fine materials. I would have been so happy…
I am having the same problem. Sometimes, I can even hear it even though I am jumping up and down on the spot.
This started to show up just a couple of days ago.
The NA server Tarnished Coasts is an unofficial RP server
And Piken Square is the unofficial EU RP server.
There is no heart at that place. I have seen more people asking about it, and it has either been the one in Moleberia or Help Albin Chronicler that they have been missing. Both north west of Twinspur Haven and you have to be almost ontop of them for the heart to show up.
So I know you can report players in the chat by right-clicking their name and choose Report. But I have not figured out how to report players that send mail to you. It’s just that I am getting mail from gold sellers and would really like to report them. Of course I can’t always remember the names, because it is names like “wsdawxs” and things like that and I always delete the mail right away because I do not like it and it takes up my space.
Are you sure it is supposed to be sent to you by mail, and not to go to the Pick Up tab in the Trading Post?
I have seen a lot of people saying that the lvl 70 story was all wrong. That the NPCs talked about people the player never had met and about items they never acquired and such things. My story is not on lvl 51 and I have not been progressing in it for a few days since I saw that, because I do not dare to in case it is still glitched and I won’t be able to go back and get it right on my character if I am doing it while it is still wrong.
So does anyone know if the higher level stories are working with the earlier options and things you did?
And I really hope that things that happened early in the story will come back. Not to spoil, but a certain NPC in my story said he would get in contact with me again and explain things. That was around lvl 20-25 ish and I have still not heard anything more. I hope earlier things are not just left undone. =/
Edit: Found the thread where people are talking about it http://www.guildwars2guru.com/topic/58414-gw2-storyline-entire-wrong-at-70/

I was a third on the way to lvl 80 when the DC happened. I can log in, but can’t play and now it says lvl 78 on my character. And it also says it is in Black Citadel, though it was in Bloodtide Coast when I got kicked out. Rollback? =/
