I feel like this build would be better off slotting Empowered Illusions and taking Mantra of Resolve instead tbh. Also, are the Ranger Runes meant to be slotted? The wiki page even specifically states illusions don’t trigger the sixth slot.

This is false. As stated in the wiki, illusions do not trigger the 6-spot bonus. This means you get absolutely nothing from them. They are in no way better than many other sets out there.

With personal damage i meant the damage dealt from my own abilities such as blurred frenzy.

The halting strike is something that’s completely a personal preference. I’m in love with the trait and pairing it with dazzling allows for great amounts of vulnerability stacking, halting strike is also great for interrupting bursts and then throwing down your counter burst, since it does around 3,5-4k damage on it’s own. Throw down an phantasmal berserker and you just dropped atleast 30% HP of any class.

In the end, it’s all personal preference and it depends on your playstyle. And i prefer HS myself.

I think those utilities were more of an issue. A lot of the mobs in SE P1 use ranged attacks, if you had wall of reflection slotted you could’ve migitated most of the damage in the dungeon.

Also, 20 minutes for SE P1 is extremely long. I usually do it below 10 with pugs

Elementalist still have the worst survival and they are a light armor class. My main is a Warrior and i have a Necro, Ele and Ranger alt at 80. My Warrior is superior in PvE content.

The Elementalist need a huge buff in survival. They have to sacrifice too much survival to be able to do damage or they have to sacrifice too much damage to be able to survive. Same with Ranger as well. Elementalist still has one of the best supports though. Necro is close to Warrior imo.

Edit: The Evade on Burning Speed is a good buff to Ele survival.

Never understood how that worked. logically as the weaks class defence wise. We should be producing top class dps as a counter balance. yet some how we aren’t.

No. SE P2 is just a pain in the kitten compared to the time/reward ratio, hence why nobody does it.

I’d like to see two toned hairstyles, as in using multiple colours.

Also, i haven’t checked on this, but is it possible to have a different colour of facial hair? (Example, a brown beard and a neon pink haircut)

The male on the left has the thickest/most muscular body type, while the male on the right is around two types down. Note how the shoulders are much more deformed on the left male.

Like lindbur said, the circle determines the hitbox, but keep in mind each projectile from your frost bow has an independant hitbox too, which means they can be a few units off. I think the total hitbox is around 60/90, though i’m not sure. Which means the projectiles can move away 30/45 units from your targets.

In general, frost bow is a really solid utility that does large amounts of damage even on small mobs. Remember to fire the Frost Fan (#3) at point blank range to inflict decent damage and a large amount of chill. This really helps disposing of that pesky mob.

Lorewise, my wonderfull norn ranger was born from a human father and a norn mother. She has always been secluded from the norn community and went on a mission to reclaim her family reputation, by succeeding in “the great hunt” and then being one of the heroes that defeated Zaithan.

Her bodybuild is quite normal i would say, and she is the smallest a norn can be. While looking for the perfect armor set to transmute my ascended armor on, I fell in love with the magitech pants and shoes. Before buying an armor i like to visualise it through the pvp locker, and i found that the skirt of the armor clips in the hips. To match that i’d also like to go for the Kodan chest piece which also bugs me at the hips since it goes way to large.

My question IS i’ve gotten my hands on a total make-over kit would choosing the slimest body build help my case or the armors are only based on the race ignoring your body build ? Any screenshot would be greatly appreciated.

Armors do not ignore your build type. One of my friends uses the thickest/most chubby (Or whatever you want to call it) female norn body type, and armour noticeably clips through it, while this doesn’t happen with a slimmer body style.

This is also very noticeable on human males if you make them max muscle or max skinny. Arah shoulders turn out really weird in comparison. (Though this probably isn’t relevant for you)

So to answer your question, Yes. Your body type does affect armour and it’s clipping.

Well kitten (Original tester here) I totally forgot that scholar runes modify the power value too. Guess i was tunnel visioned on the damage modifiers. Thanks for clearing that up everyone!

Picture related. I love Vexa’s lab. It’s a fun, quick dungeon to do. It has some jumping puzzle segments in it, the atmosphere/theme looks really nice, and the final boss has a lot of mechanics and actually offers more challenge than 95% of the dungeon bosses.

That’s basically instant-vaporization for your whole team.

That was the point. We were running 5 Minion Masters just for the fun of it, and then alpha decided to just nuke our whole army.

This made the fight a whole lot more interesting. Stacking Reanimator jagged horrors and transfusion healing them, and then throwing your base minions ontop of that results in something absolutely beautiful.

Watched it a bit… you could have done a looot better… if you don’t mind me saying. I don’t know if you guys just wanted to have fun, but it kind of puts people off MM. Now that i look at it i think you could have done it in like 7-8 minutes… and since the world record is 5:20 that’s not bad…

You could have provided 25 stacks of vulnerability easy + dagger 1 spam since minions would siphon for you therefor max DPS uptime with the hardest hitting weapon. The vulnerability stacks would increase both your and your minion’s damage.

Dagger focus + minions also might want to add superior sigil of demon summoning, the demon hits as hard as flesh golem.

Once again i don’t mean to be rude or anything, just a small suggestion…

It was a random pug group with some random builds thrown together. None of us were serious in that run.

Really, Really?? Do you care to understand why at least? Pug don’t want the best team, they want the team that have the best chance of having a smooth run.

5 Ele can make the dungeon freaking easy, by killing most mobs faster than anything else. But they are so squishy and really hard to master if you don’t have the skill. On the other side Guardian and Warrior and not better, but easier to play right, making them really attractive to pugs. That is not bad design, that a common sense choice. I want the best team, i’ll have 1 warriors, maybe 1 guardian for some path. I want a pug group with a good chance of finishing the path in a small amount of time? I’ll go with 3-4 heavies.

This means there’s nothing wrong with the classes. It just means most players are flawed and can’t handle eles/thieves.

LFG Cleric paladin preferred. I am a healer white mage and here is my meta build.

In all seriousness, the build he is advertising is silly, he doesn’t even have the vuln on blind trait to increase his group DPS. Also, how is his epic healer guardian going to help if his teammates are still going to be instagibbed? And i dont see retreat either on his bar, he is not giving his allies aegis to save them from getting instakilled. And last, but not least. This build seems like it’s made for facetanking stuff, which you should never use in a serious run. (Unless it’s a no dodge cleric healer only run, ofcourse)

a 5x Cleric/Dire MM Necro comp is the best for every dungeon.

In all seriousness though, you don’t ever want more than 1 warrior or 1 guardian. Warriors are there for the banners, guardians throw down reflects and blinds and the other 3 spots are filled by Elementalists and a mesmer/thief.

So yes, while warriors and guardians are good in groups, they definetly aren’t top tier. I bet warriors wouldn’t even be taken in meta teams if they didn’t have banners.

Yes, this whole run was just out of the blue. Me and my friend were like, Oh lets do a MM run! and we snagged 3 pugs. I just slapped a random 30/30/10 build together to mess around.

Minions still get confused by staff AA and marks, but if you focus on a single target with scepter AA for example, then they’ll move on to their target.

Saddly it’s not the case, just swapped my build back, testing in LA they still jerk in place if they can’t find pathing, this is with using dagger one.

Hmm, weird. It could be that when you’re being attacked from multiple sources the minions become ’’confused’’, not knowing which target they need to pick and then infinitely limbo between the two.

I know my PvE playstyle of necro wasn’t perfect, but that wasn’t the point of this run. We just wanted to see what happened if you threw 5 MM’s with reanimator (6 minions each with bone minions, and up to 8 if reanimator procs twice!) and the result is well, this video!

Everyone got boons, both Warrior and Guardian can have many boons, Both have also better healing than ele, also better dmg than ele, so whats ele better than those 2??(don’t tell me 10 more skills makes the difference).

I’d like to see a warrior or guardian come close to ele when it comes to damage.

Other than my ‘’pretty boy’’ that i posted way earlier in my thread, this is a more serious submission to the thread. Probably my favourite character looks wise. I love using light armour.
