The first day, PVP decided to hit HoD due to none of us being there. Second day we split evenly between the two, third day we hit NSP and just today we hit NSP. We people in PVP and SF like to hit the person in second hard to keep their scores together thus putting the score gap ahead. Also, at the time HoD felt like they had a lot more numbers than NSP, sorry to see the dip in population.

All that aside, let’s talk about NSP BL tonight. The numbers of NSP out there tonight were outstanding. PVP tried to hold our ground but we got witled down until we were no more, this happened twice at bay and once at the supply camp. Not to mention all those arrow carts and seige inside the garrison, I must have had at least 1000 arrows sticking out of me at the end of that. Really solid defense guys. Even though we dropped we did our best. Keep it up NSP.

Also, to the HoD that descided to put a bunch of seige ontop of the roof vista in the north of NSP BL, way to crash 80% of our games by firing all that seige at once. Was really fun though trying to get to you, hiding from the seige. Was really funny indeed, too bad none of us got to see it through (I understand that some of you crashed as well?) .

I’d be curious to know what new HoD recruits think about this tier 7 matchup? Can HoD or any other server compete in higher tiers or would we get blown out by each and every tier 8 servers?

Having played in the top two tiers for a few months, I can tell you that any server in T7 would get completely crushed. In large part because of the huge population differences, but also because of large organized wvw guilds. Their members may be scrubs on their own, but when 50 people are all on voice comms together, it will generally roll over a pug zerg quite easily. It was quite common to see 200-300 people on the SoR server teamspeak all WvW’ing.

I don’t think he meant that. Most of us were destroyed by Kaineng not so long ago and they got stronger with each tier they crushed and they are still stuck in tier 2.

I’ve tried hoelbrak and melandru runes. They help with conditions. Haven’t done the food before.

I ultimately went to lyssa runes though. That with signet trait and the Sig of stamina, two full cleanses, but you’re forced to prioritize conditions.

The warhorn trait is worth trying out as well.

Soldier runes are a pretty weak option in my humble opinion even with healing shouts as you are forced to pick utilities that other than FgJ do next to nothing for you or your group.

Long story short though, conditions are going to be a weakness regardless of how you go about it. Unless we’re talking solo roaming here your best option is having supports friends.

EDIT: also note, the reasoning behind lyssa runes was not really as a method to deal with conditions, the additional cleanse is just kind of a bonus.

I do the same and conditions is not really an issue for me. Only thing you need to be aware is not to use your elite skill as soon as it’s up. You need to plan and be careful on how you use it. I Usually use it after the first wave of conditions.

BTW great job NSP. HoD took 23k lead in the week end but during the week we were able to hold our point gain and even closing the gap a little.

I have been on NSP since day one and I agree with everything that as been written so far. NSP as a server had ups and downs but we were always able to put a good fight VS any servers we fought in the last 3 month. ( AR, BP, GoM and HoD are all server that do incredibly well ATM)

We needs people all around the clock but I think that early morning and around midnight is probably when we need a bit more. (commander that do those timezone could confirm) It is also true that NSP is a server where a good players or a good guild can have a huge impact.

We have a great core of dedicated WvW players and many skilled guilds as it was mentioned earlier.

Sevenred did a pretty good job at describing NSP and our timezone needs. There are many great WvW guilds and a good core of old solid player.

HoD definitely needs more people. Specially now that GoM has gotten transfers. I just spent 5 hours battling GoM and their numbers are huge. How the hell do they have such huge zergs in so many maps?

Well, [Mend] moved to HoD and aparently there are more people interested in leaving ET to the same way so you guys might get a few extra numbers.

Thank you very much for the help. We really need it. If we were having a tough time before, imagine now that GoM grew even more. They got a new guild in with a bunch of new players and, from what I can tell by fighting them, they are very tough.

By the way, I’ve even posted about the problem on T8 before. I have a thread on it and you can see on my post history if you’d like. At first, I thought Anet’s solution to T8 was to let people transfer to ET/FC. Although my initial reaction was that this was not the best solution, I now see what might really happen. The solution that Anet gave you guys was a free trasfer to HoD. Totally not what should have been done. They should have given a way for SF to leave T8.

Free transfer is open to all tier 8 and 7 servers this is really bad for falling upper tier server like IoJ and CD.

Helo it is me, Your Big Horse. This is my first ever post, so be nice pls.
I see so much hate against SPCA suddenly, so I try to bring community together by featuring all of you in my debut video. I downloaded windows movie maker and an hour later I turned into Peter Jackson.

This was a few nights ago, when we decided to roam 8man for the laugh and we get sandwiched between 2 zergs. This results in a 9min long battle royale!

I usually run GS but I got stuck in combat with staff on, so I just run around for 9min pretending I know what I’m doing lol.

The elusive Ruggeddeath joins in on the action shortly into the fight making it a total of 9 people for us.

I make a lot of big mistakes in this fight, but I hope you all enjoy it non the less.

I have the same screenshot but I didn’t really notice he was one of their commander. I have reported him and I can post more screenshot if needed. I was impressed by HoD morning push lately but it lost lots of credibility with this commander Hacker.

I missed being red from our weeks and weeks with BP/AR stalemate, so me and my friends decided to go visit our much beloved garrison to the far north…
But when we got there there were some unfriendly thugs there which attacked us, we wanted to report it to the keep lord so we made our way there, but he too had gone mad! He charged at us and we had no choice but to defend ourselves. But then the keep turned green all of a sudden, and it just felt …wrong.
So we decided to go to Etheron Hills to pay a visit to Uncle Charlie, but he too attacked us on sight! “Could it be us? Why dont they like us anymore?” we questioned.
We soon realised that HoD Borderlands was under an evil witch spell, and the only way to help was to cleanse thy land of its riches and corruption!
So we, being good neighbours helped, because i didnt look like any HoD were willing to fight for their home, we helped you liberate it!
It has now been cleansed with the power of righteousness! And is yours to reclaim.

WoW great job! Also nice push earlier today GoM it look like you guys are starting your Thursday weekly push a bit earlier.

I would say last server of tier 5 to tier7 and probably SF would make good match up. On NSP we had 1 month and half again AR and BP. BP was obviously the strongest server but still I had lot of fun. We finally felt down but still we have an pretty good match up again.

Many servers seem to lose a lot of steam lately.

Hi,

I play a bow/Sword+shield warrior. The sigil of doom is on my shield. (poison on next attack after swap)

I start with bow at about 500 range or more. I use pin down (any ability and auto attack) then I weapon swap and use leap. Technically leap/auto attack should proc the poison but it didn’t. It seems as if the arrow is doing the poison but because it was travelling while I swapped and I’m not in the immediate range of about the sword range that the game doesn’t do the effect.

If I redo all of that at about melee range everything is fine and work properly.

Correct me of I’m wrong. They wanted to fight small groups and NSP as a few he said. They also wanted to fight their friends for awhile. I have no idea if it’s permanent or not.

@ around 11pm est. You guy had quite a force on the bridge leading to your spawn for quite some time. The thing I wonder is why did HoD came from behind, bypassed us and jumped straight to your spawn as if we were not there… They could had us wipped from behind.

Thanks for the update. I’m surprise that our point gain is still that high. I was really worried yesterday around 11h EST. Great push from both server on our garrison. I was defending water gate for quite a while and you really had me a bit worried there.

To those on GoM and HoD thinking NSP intentionally tanked our last match, I want to tell you that you’re mistaken. I can tell you for a fact that a LOT of us were still fighting hard last week. Yes we did have a couple of loudmouths, not saying any names, stop playing for the week and they may have taken a few people with them. But, large amount of us stayed on for hours at a time to fight. It just happened to turn out that AR and BP really loved our BL and didn’t want us to have it back. Also didn’t help that there were some guilds on AR that admitted to exclusively focusing us to knock us down a tier, haha. But, regardless of result, what’s done is done and we’re here to fight you guys. I really hope we can keep forum activity clean and proper. We can be civil, eh?

It was a fun evening in NSP BL. It was refreshing to see some new faces and play style. I was really surprised by how different it felt to fight new servers.

Possible Scenario for screwing up our love-fest:

IoJ is in free fall. If they lose by too much, and our score gets too uneven, they will bounce down and one of us will bounce up. This will give me a mad. If we keep the game nice and close, then they will be stuck being the red team in T5.

One of you number-crunchers figure out how to make sure we don’t let outside influences screw up our epic match up.

Simple awnser… each server transfer it top guild to LoJ before the 28.

It been a great matchup, I’m very impressed with NSP. On reset many figured it would be AR vs. BP with NSP picking up the scraps due to losing guilds. Its quite clear this is not the case, if anything meow leaving lit a fire and your better off without them.

Come join us on NSP then there is a big chance ours 3 servers are locked together for the next few weeks. ;P

Quite frankly I’m super impressed by how NSP reacted after last week.

Really nice. It as been fun so far.

My Charr warrior’s fur is blue/grayish with red patern on it. But you don’t see it really since he is always in full T3 cultural. What is a bit more unique about him is that most charr go for the bulky one and I took the tall/slim combination. The shoulder armor are smaller but it give him more a werewolf/Eva from evangelion shape. (Tier 3 cultural helm look like a eva head)

I bough a kit to change feature the other day and I was contemplating the option to put him more bulky and white. I changed my mind and decided to keep him as he is.

I knew the risk and stayed for fun.

I was fighting a bit earlier at our spawn point in NSP and I wanted to see the fight club. I have meet some great people there. I joined a group of kaineng and I had a lots of fun fooling around. It was funny when I was stuck in the crossfire when both server where trying to kill each other, I’m really bad at 1 vs 150.

I wanted to join the fight club but I didn’t wanted to cover myself in shame. I was hopping that there could have been some people from NSP that I could have joined for some team fight. Joining with Harmless would probably have made a good team, she would probably won the fight all by herself :P

The best part was the moose part, being a NSP moose can be tough.

I had lots of fun thanks everyone and a big special thank to those players from Kaineng in my party.

I didn’t realized at first but I captured about 1 hour of footage of the event.

I really enjoyed the fighting in EB near the NSP spawn at 20 minutes ago. Thank you to those who had the decency to not zerg us and keep the little battle interesting. I Wish I had more time to talk with those from Kain that came to chat but I really had to go.

Sincerely I really had great time fighting you guys. I Don’t have to run around very much to find a good fight. On the first night I was really impressed by how WM worked togheter.

Thanks for the PvP yesterday night in NSP borderland. Personally it’s been a while since I really had fun fighting in there. It was pretty interesting witnessing DR and AR clashing together at the base of redbriard.

It was pretty much all of our force we had for Wv3 during the night. We were hoping not to spend half a day winning our keep back. It was fun though.

Yesterday we were defending a keep in AR borderland right before the new build. Then you guys attacked us with what I think as been the largest zerg I never have seen. Congrats on being able to have so many peoples. I was OMG…

Warriors have great mobility and are really good with any weapons. I have many weapons set and I switch a lot to adjust to any situations. Sword/shield is my main set. Then I use a gun for ground lvl fighting, bow to defend or attack keep, axe/mace combo for my offensive close combat set and sometime I use a greatsword simply for fun. We are pretty decent combat rezzer and if you manage your survivability I often surprise myself on how you can soak damage.

A warrior with a longbow can cause a lot of damage and chaos when he is defending a castle, I tried really hard to use the riffle in that situation and I just can’t seem to be able to do better than with a bow.

The goal is to carefully manage your adrenaline. If you use the rage you gain normally with the full bar you get from using healing surge you can pretty much spam combustive shot. Usually I shoot first combustive shot, root one target, explosive shoot, healing surge and second combustive shoot. That usually is enough to damage the siege weapon at the door quite a little bit and It usually spread or weaken the players at the door.
