If most class have achieved balance with condi builds it mean Anet kinda succeeded in balancing that side of the game. Next step is kinda easy. Bring power build up to that level.
They are simply mad cause their class got nerfed and the two only class that were free kills in S2 got buffed.

Right now many classes have relatively equal build. I really like what I see in the current balance I think it’s a good step in the right direction. Skill like Moa needed to be nerfed. I think the next step would be to bring DH to that level so all class have a chance. Then they should had more variety. Bring build variation back. Each class needs a power, condi and support builds.(Everything in between)
The issue with warrior is that they don’t want to give them protection and I understand that. I think they went the right way with AH and this really fit the concept of adrenaline spending of the berzerker elite spec.
When I’m looking back to all the buff warrior needed to be competitive. I’m kinda sad to see in what shape warrior were post HoT. Make me realize how much other class got stronger.

After Hot I have guildies that kept playing their warriors. I stopped playing GW2 cause I really got bored. They reached pretty high tier in S2 and they are really good players. To succeed they had to duel and learn every classes. When you are bottom tier class you can’t impose your play style and has to react to better classes offend played by worst players.
They were pretty good pre patch. Since the warrior sustain buff they are having so much fun and pretty much nothing stand in their way. (they don’t like condi builds)
I also hate condi build TBH. The good thing is that this and thieve buff will definitively shake the meta. Eventually other players will learn how to deal with this.
What are the current bottom tier class now?
Well HoT was super positive from the second they showed chronomancer until now. Even now mesmers are super powerfull as revenant. It’s just less faceroll.
Good players will always find a way to win since the class is still super strong.
I agree. Once again ANet has no clue how to balance. This is not balance.
Moa has a 180 sec CD for a reason. It’s a strong, game changing skill, like an an elite should be…

Nah Rampage is not game changing… :P Still it’s a good nerf to Moa and could be nerfed further more IMO.

Moa still ovewrite rampage. Adding jump would be really great and they also could add an icon on mesmer while he cast it.
A double jump would be awesome or a leaping skill that make the moa flap it’s little wings. :P

I like that idea.
Funny things for me is to realize how much buff they added to warrior’s healing ability to be barely able to sustain himself since HOT released.
I’m on the fence here. I do think it’s more active than passive since you have to activate it and there is always a chance to miss. (minus Longbow F1)

I played SAB a bit and even got bored of this.
I would rather see the OLD BL back and they should add a layer of polishing on it. I think they should add a some new siege spot to take advantages of the new siege.
I stopped playing in November after playing GW2 almost every night since launch.
- They removed old map that were superior. Those map were better in scale and the navigation was much more fluid. Vast and open map will always be better than corridor. I know why they did canyon and I understand they wanted to reduce the lag by closing the long range view. The new map lack the charm and simplicity of the old one.
- Auto upgrade is horrible. Each server had dedicated peoples that were involved in upgrading and protecting stuff. It might be too late to bring that back.
- I played warrior and they pretty much destroyed it. (I don’t ask top tier. I like mid tier with a good fighting chance again most classes)
- They killed the pretty good balance they had post expansion. (Elite spec were supposed to be balanced to their basic counterpart.)
- Pirate ship meta is horrible. (Stability and movement nerf)
The things they are looking after might tickle me back BUT so far all effort they made left a sour taste in my mouth. (Supposed warr buff as an exemple.)
The berzerker stance nerf is really bad. I tried hammer and the weapon got a lot faster now, the axes skill buff is decent and final thrust is welcome. I like the mending and to the limit buff.
I know I should log and test stuff but I have left the game for over 2 months now and I don’t feel I wanna do it. I had some hope for this patch but so far it might be a let down. I kinda expected it. :/
Healing buff is something but I’m more interested in the cooldown reductions. I wonder if what we saw in the preview show also the change to adrenaline decay. This could be huge.
To me as long as an strong class as a heavy counter I’m fine with that.
If necro counter rev and warr/thief/scrapper can counter necro I don’t see anything wrong.
I havn’t played much since 2 months but the 64 bit client run pretty well on my laptop.(Asus ROG G751 JY, 24 gig of ram, 980M, can’t remember processor) Before the 64 bit client I had to run middle to high but with the 64 bit client I was able to run near high to ultra setting and getting 25-60 FPS in WvW.(Depending on fight) I run Witcher 3, fallout 4 and ETC on max setting.
Your ram seems a tad low.

I haven’t played in 2 months but I remember that sometime on certain range skill the regen/Heal would not proc. It’s pretty rare. I don’t really remember which one but it used to happen more often VS certain class.
There is probably a bug.
Gun/Shield and GS would be pretty kitten.

I really think that -10% to -15% on all warrior cooldown (Weapon/traits/skills) could probably be a quick fix for the class.
Where are the mesmer and rev change?
Creating a niche for warrior did happen 2 years ago. They buffed warrior so they could hard counter the Necro that was poisoning PvP and WvW at the time.
HoT pretty much killed GW2 for me.
Nerfs. Elite specs were supposed to be an alternate way of playing the professions, not stronger, nor weaker. Wich warrior and thief is (not 100% sure about thief tho) but far more close than the op ones. Wich means warrior and thieves are actually balanced in the sense they are the strength they “should” be, while the op ones have broken elite specs where u essentially have to play them. Thusly the strong ones should be nerfed to put them in line with other trait lines and warrior and thief.

You are pretty much spot on.
Warrior needs at least 10-15% cooldown reduction on everything IMO and I do think he could barely start to compete again.
Warr were braindead easy to play over a year ago. With each nerf it became harder to play since to win you had to adjust and learn how other class fought. I remember learning the hard way how to fight a mesmer pre mantra nerf. As of right now some class are too powerful and even the best warrior players will have hard time again those Op classes played by average players.
Rev is a low risk class. It’s great for new player and warrior are such in a bad spot that to win you have to play perfectly. I really liked how warrior played.
I tried revenant and it was boring for me, then I tried to play my warrior but it was way too frustrating. On the bright side great games were releasing. I stopped playing GW2 and gave me the time to finish Witcher3, Fallout4 and just got back into Bloodborne PvP.
Warrior forums as been a dead zone for quite some time.
This is by the worst if not among the worst meta GW2 ever had.
Yeah I have been using them for a while. (Defender runes) You can easily stack up to ++15 sec regen. I always hoped they would allow thems in SPVP. (Did they added thems I have not played in 3 weeks)
I use the blocking as a mini self regroup. 4K heal, regen and the might you get is pretty cool and it get you ready for a decent counter attack. I usually used it with axe/shield. The hardest part is to not waste your heal because of the 30 sec ICD and your block timer. With mace you have a second way to get the proc. Watch for poison while using it because it really hurt the heal.
The regen you get when you use block after rampage in a big ennemy zerg is pretty good. I can’t count how many times those runes saved my butt.
1v1 situation you will surprise people at first but good duelers will eventually learn how to deal with you since it’s easily counterable BUT they are very effective with a bit of chaos around you.

It’d be a start. Between weapon skills, shouts, stances, banners, physical skills.. all have overly long cooldowns compared to the state of elite specs and even some baseline skills.I figure if we have to be stuck with basic-puppy skills, let us spam the crap out of them with short cooldowns.
More GS 3, sword 2 evade, more mobility( Would put us at least equal to the rest). More block, more stance. I think warrior would become very cool and fast paced. I think with a bit of tweaks it could be a quick fix to warriors.
Nope I pretty much played every night over the last 3 years. I stopped playing 3 weeks ago. I come on the forums on Tuesday afternoon to check if any patch would be coming.
They broke the 2 things I cared about WvW and my warrior.
I’m slowly getting back in shape for bloodborne DLC and eventually Dark Souls 3 PvP.

Unrelenting Assault hit way too hard, track and evade. It needs some counter play, reduce damage or at best reduce the tracking zone.
It’s kinda like if whirlwind blade on warrior could track you and evade for for 2 seconds.

Why would they make so huge BL maps?
I mean warrior hammer an uneven terrain. (The vanilla hammer burst as exemple.) Those skills will miss if you fight on slope. We have been complaining on that pretty much since launch.

-Skill 2 bugs a lot on uneven terrain, even small stone prevents it from landing a hit and stops the animation. Doesnt hit at max distance as animation indicates. It also sometimes aim in totally different direction from target (will make a vid later).
-Skill 3 miss on uneven terrain. Pressing wep swap cancels the animation
-Skill 5 when interupted let it be by ourself or enemy goes on full cd and consumes energy before the skill take effect. Animation playing 2 times…
Warriors had similar issue since launch. Highly doubt this will be fixed.
You will be nerfed as all the class that were once in the OP spot. Too many complain and people rerolling DH.
I don’t play anymore. Prior HoT I might have missed the 3/3 daily about 3 times since their implementation. Since HoT launched I think I did get the 3/3 achievement maybe 2 times. The new BL with the warrior situation pretty much killed my drive to play. It’s sad I was so exited for HoT.
I was duelling a revenant using shiro. So much evade and Unrelenting Assault make no sense it hit hard, evade, last 2 sec and track on a 12 sec cooldown. It as no counter play.
They have 2 heals. It’s like having healing signet and if we had another heal while in berserk form. Balance in this game is currently a joke and they hope to go in league with stuff like that. I was trying to manage my dodge/block/invul almost perfectly and I just kept running out of option and took the full damage 5-8k dam eventually.
I don’t care some class to be a bit stronger but some stuff are completly crazy ATM.
Putting shield block on a 15 sec cooldown untraited wouldn’t be OP in the current meta. Hell reducing all our weapons/heals/utilities/traits cooldown by 15-20% wouldn’t be OP.
