I play warrior and noticed while playing that I wasn’t doing alot of damage. I checked my hero and all his traits were reset. Was this intended since there was alot of changes? Was there a warning or post stating this would happen?
If your team wipes for some reason during respawning one member will spawn back inside with the bosses while the rest spawn at the waypoint. This happened to me once but one of the guys on our team spawned 3 times in a row in there. Im sure its just a minor bug and I am certain others have experienced this.
I look at the money from fractals covers the cost of repairing after you complete them. At lvl 48 its not uncommon to spend 14s for repairs.
Inactive guild member looking for another active clan. Currently on Jade Quarry. My main is warrior who fractals at lvl 48. My Ele completes dailies in spvp. Willing to help others and learn runs. In game character is Zeropal Twotonne.
You can’t ask players to fight if the drops don’t justify the time required to fight. If Anet continues to only give good drops on final bosses etc, then players will always continue to dungeon run. Just think back to all the times you were in a long battle and at the end you received greens and blues as a reward. If you have experienced that then you will understand why its necessary to “run” to the better content. IMHO, Anet did it right when they created fractals. Very little of fractals can be ran. Outside of Jade Maw which I think was intended since its considered an extra fractal. As for exploits, Its important for Anet to stay on top of exploits and to adjust them more often. We have seen improvements that eliminated a lot of these issues already but the changes take too long to come out.
I don’t know how it hasn’t been brought up that though melee is much more damage efficient, virtually every boss with an auto-attack will zone you. Virtually every boss that drops red circles will camp in them. Some bosses by their mechanics alone are explicitly not meant to be melee’d.
Yes, overall melee is better simply because the motif of the game is to nuke and dodge, but melee will in fact be broken as long as the aggro/boss auto-attacks remain the same.
I’m not sure how everyone else seems to avoid being zoned, whether they’ve got a full knight’s guardian in every group, or just don’t do any damage, I don’t know.
Needless to say though, it’s pretty irritating needing to disengage from a boss and kite in circles each time you get aggro. As it stands most bosses that do regular swings do so too frequently to dodge consistently.
For instance, cliffside Archdiviner and the snow svanir boss. You can’t dodge the melee frequently enough, and you certainly can’t tank it.
I’d love to see someone say this is an l2p issue and melee as it stands is acceptable. Though of course, if you down and get res’d, you’ll probably end up doing the same or higher overall damage than most ranged, but that is NOT the point.
Archdiviner and the Svanir boss are melee bosses. Even if I am the only player doing it. Just knowing when to back out is important. This is not L2P, this is opinion driven. Yes you run the risk of being downed but with practice you get a better understanding of how the bosses attack. For instance, when the Archdiviner pauses to drop circles he will not attack. Get in there and melee him down. If it means taking one red circle of conditions, so be it. Strip the conditions on your way out. Rinse and repeat.
I play D/D ele in pve and pvp. Very rarely do I need a different build to defeat a boss. Eles are so versatile. Dont look at the weapons, look at the skills you can attune to. Every skill I pop gives me a boon+heals+ etc….. Such a huge difference to my first character, warrior.

I can suggest that you use the strat that most players use when dealing with the seals that heal up. Take out only one of the chanters on the side you enter in on. Hit the seal and move to the other side. Once there, mark the far chanter and do NOT kill him. Take out the closest chanter and hit the seal. After that the fighting should only be in the hallway. Pull the first group into the hallway to charge the hammer. This will keep the chanters from healing the seal and you can dps them down before they can focus onto anyone. There will be times where the targeted chanter comes into the hallway. Just avoid him and take his damage with a smile. This method will always work, even at high lvls.
We tried this, and that’s why we got confused, because they weren’t wave spawning. The instant any of the chanters died, another spawned in its place. So there was always a full wave of mobs at each seal
Each seal starts with 2 chanters. The only way to get more chanters is to kill both of those original chanters. This will start the re spawning of chanters. Did any of your members have pets out? Sometimes pets will take out the marked chanter and leave you with two full groups that fix the seals. You are positive that you still had your original marked chanter still alive when chanters were spawning at the seal?

I would like to see some minor changes to fractals in general. They have been around long enough and could use some TLC. I would also like to see the option of getting amulets and trinkets from the fractal vendor. I do not understand why they are not available to us. Forcing players to do daily and monthly content for laurels just to get these items seems silly since they are needed in order to complete fractals 40-48. I would like options to spend my 3000 relics and 120 pristine relics plz.
Having one of these skins gives no prestige at all. Everyone knows its pure luck so it shouldn’t matter how many are out there. The fact that they look pretty cool is why a lot of players want them.
TBH, its better to be in a low level area doing these simply because they have less hit points and its cheaper to travel. I only wait if I see someone and I always kill any pulled mobs since they too drop coffers.
40 rich coffers and I got a ticket. 500+ regular coffers and only 1 mini pet. Its all about luck.
Why not have anything not activated colored in red? Still readable but obvious to everyone it isn’t available.
I found that players would switch to a team where the better players were and after two games the score would be lopped sided, When the game starts over again they have the option of switching so they group up again. I found I was stuck with the same group of ppl that didn’t seemto know what to do. After 5 games of 500-200 I called it quits.

Yeah, provided all players in the group are EU or NA then it doesn’t matter what server your on. You will notice when you enter the dungeon and you put your cursor over the players in your group they will all be on the same server. As I understand it, who ever starts the dungeon will be dungeon host.
I would like to point out as well that if you put some time into fractals you could also get a ring drop at lvl 10. Saving you time anyway.
I have received a little over 100 relics. I have 35 rings and I finished my fractal frequenter 2 months ago. Every time I log in I do at least one daily. I dont do anything under lvl 26. Perhaps stating that 600 reflects how Anet tracks our progress in fractals using the achievements. Regardless, where are my skin drops plz?

I don’t think dailies and monthlies are grind either. Have a goal like map completion or finish a dungeon run and just complete other areas of your daily. The rewards are worth it if your friend is in fact doing more damage then you. I did 5 COF runs yesterday and only needed to do some gathering and I was done my daily. PVP dailies are extremely easy as well. 20-30 mins tops and its just as rewarding.
Sitting at lvl 4o fractal with over 500 runs and still no fractal skins…..I dont know why ppl say they are easy to get. Next to impossible for me. Nothing like spending 2 hours of gaming and not feeling rewarded for it. I dont wish it upon anyone.
I think they should be fed through foraging. Instead of you collecting the items, they eat the items. It ends up being a cost for you. Having the food idea and feeding them to be able to ride is good too.

Relax, it hasn’t been discussed in a while and I just checked a few pages to see. Linking it would have been a more constructive approach then trolling my post.
They should move faster but in order to attack you have to dismount.
Keep in mind, If you have more then one set of armor you can set the colors and they will not change when switching to another set. I have two sets of armor and they have their own color schemes.
We have seen players on broom sticks and players traveling underground, so I am wondering if there is a plan to release mounts for players to ride? It wouldn’t need to be a new creature either. there are a lot of creatures in game that could be used for this purpose.
Im not happy either, and not for that reason. Anet promised a new dungeon, and what did we get… a room with ONE boss…
In the past 9 months we have gotten 1 new area that is half finished, we got fractals and thats it. When is Anet gonna focus on actual content instead of lossless monthly patches that do not bring permanent content?
p.s. we had to use bleeds to kill the bosses.

I found thakittens cheaper to make rare pauldrons and break them down for ectos. Then sell for exotics.

There is a video floating around You tube of someone using tokens from dungeons to purchase swords and then dropping them into the forge for a precursor. I don’ think its possible but a clan mate is trying to prove me wrong by doing it. Any possibility this is true?
2 runs yesterday and I got 2 rares at lvl 14 and nothing on lvl 40. I did fill my bags (120 slots) since we did dredge at 40 but not one rare or exotic.
When decreases to drop rates occur the items on the market spike. This allows for us to sell high on our items and make a profit. If they increased the drop rate of rares and allowed you to sell the exotics you find it would flood the market and we would not see a good profit. I don’t agree with those changes unless they nerf something like the COF runs and balance it out properly since Fractals are much more difficult. I just sold all my stones and cores from fractals and scored 150 gold. I think the changes are coming and I don’t want to get burned.

If they were to make the kind of changes you guys are asking you have to think that it will result in drastic changes to the market. Not something I see Anet wanting to deal with. I have complained about DR and skins in fractals for months now and nothing has been done. I just don’t understand why I am stuck with 80 pristine relics and 30 rings yet I cant score a skin. Why can’t I use my relics to get other accessories? Laurels replaced relics IMO. You don’t even need to go into fractals to get ascended items. After looking at all this the only reason fractals are still going is because of the skins.

Pulling the boss to the corner is the start. The trash mobs are the problem. Get rid of them first. I keep moving and striking to avoid everything. The first 5 mins are the toughest. Once the first group is down you can face tank the boss. My opinion is that this part of the fractal is easy and it all boils down to the team your on.
correct me if im wrong but I dont believe bloomhungers circles are suppose to show while in water. Even if its shallow. I hug a tree and range it anyway.
The only huge issue FOTM has, in my honest opinion, is the lack of more fractals like we were teased with, and more importantly, rewards that are only available after hitting level 40-50+

I think there’s something wrong with the content, when it encourages running away and waiting for bombs to respawn. There’s no possible way to survive staying in there either. If they could be blinded, it would be amazingly cool and intense. Having them have perma-protection, blind immunity and several dazes makes Dredge the single most fearsome enemy in the game.
It is difficult and requires some skills to be used in order to survive. I find if you just run in one at a time they do not take the bombs away. Going in with groups, the dredge tend to migrate over to the door. TBH it just boils down to experience. I used to run in as a warrior and plant then reset. Now, I can run in and out without getting downed while my party kills a few at the bottom of the stairs. I have seen the thief approach where we go in stealth and plant as a group. That works well too. I like the fact that I don’t have to be a button masher for every dungeon and the Dredge map is proof that at least Anet is going in the right direction. Now they need to do something about these useless relics and rings……..

Rarely! And this is a very good point you’ve brought up. Even at levels below 20, most of my parties always die on top of the switches… and surely that can’t be the intended strategy? I wouldn’t mind if they gave the dredge less health, or reduced their damage. Or maybe not have them respawn quite so fast. Because I have rarely seen a team pull off this Fractal in the way I think they intended it.
The fact that everyone still completes the dredge fractal means its not too hard. The things that were considered unintended were obviously fixed with this new patch. Dying on a switch is necessary only as a last resort. Really, its up to the person opening the door to not fail.
Stealth fixes and no changes to relics, rings or skins. WHY?
Now it seems that the dredge boss AND his minions return to spawn when standing outside the door during dredge fractals. I will confirm this again tonight. This will drag out the dredge map even more.
Completed it with 3 players. If your looking for a challenge and are complaining its too easy just go in with less players. Im sure you won’t say its easy after that. I loved the new mobs and the bosses were fun. Thank You Anet and well done!
P.S. Please do not forget about Fractals.
I tried the Dolyak runes to see how much regen it gave per tick. For me it was 30. Really? 30? wasted gold!
18k with HB. 12k Eviscerate hit. I use traits for both GS and axe. Using food at the time with 25 stacks of might. Targets were trash mobs in fractals.
