Just logged in so far loving it nice to hear hope it gets better from here:)1

So I’m a long time World of Warcraft player, I like WoW but I hate paying $15.00 a month and feeling like I’m obligated to play, feeling like I have to play every waking minute to keep up with everyone. Is this Guild Wars 2 as well or is it more casual friendly? I hear good things about it so I broke down and bought it hope I’ve made the right choice as things download.

I agree with the original poster I love raids but I have a life and can’t sit down for hours and raid hardcore. I think World of Warcraft did good with there looking for raid option giving casuals the ability to see the same content in a more casual fashion. Also for the new players late to the raiding scene it’s nearly impossible for them to get groups as the raiding community is toxic and it’s bleeding over into fractals if you wipe once they leave or start blaming the group.

I’d love to see this raid but I can’t get a group and i don’t have the time to devote long hours learning encounters. This takes me to my final point, this goes against Anet original vision no grind and casual for all. Raids are great but they need to be available to the masses other wise it creates a toxic environment and only a fraction of your player base is seeing the content.

As the title state’s many of us have jobs and real life obligations to attend to and can’t sit and raid for 3 or 4 hours. If I wanted hard core raids I would go back to WoW. Please don’t forget who the game was originally made for . I know I’m not alone that there are many people who feel left out they would like to experience raids without having time commitment restraints.

I really hope they do something with dungeons and fractals and since we casuals can’t run these raids they need to get some new fractals or dungeons we have had the same ones now for 3 Years plus ………..

I’m not saying raids are bad I’m just saying make raids Lil more accessible to the masses something like wow did or something clever with an Anet spin on it this way that content isn’t being wasted.

By now that raids were a bad idea unless they do something like blizzard did with there looking for raid thing. Otherwise your creating content only a fraction of the player base will ever see………

Same issue here its annoying and effects game play quite a bit

Same issue here my character has like a micro stutter that’s really annoying and makes things feel choppy.

Ever since this last patch I’ve developed a micro on my character that’s rather noticeable and apparently I’m not the only one noticing this………..

Just seems like they would doesn’t have to be an expansion maybe new patch some new maps I don’t know but I feel this game has hurt wow greatly why not keep chipping away lol

Around the time blizzard launches there next expansion? I really hope so being that this game I feel has put a huge dent in Wow it just seems like a good strategy maybe huge update? Another expansion? Maybe raids for the masses what’s your thoughts?

I don’t get it I’m loving Hot I like the mastery system the new maps and new legendaries we can craft. The only thing I didn’t like was raids being hard core only ,world of warcraft realized they were making content that only a fraction of there player base was seeing and implemented lfr (looking for raid). Minus that little hic up I’m enjoying Hot and for what we get for no sub fee I don’t understand all the negativity ……….. Anet your doing fine keep up the good work just hope you guys at some point make raids a little more accessible to the masses.

Don’t have a working mic at the moment so not sure how big an issue that would be.

That’s right there is the 5 series as well I can upgrade if need be so I guess I should be able to squeeze quite a bit out of the motherboard and cpu for some time to come.

I got the chip and motherboard for $180.00 seemed to good to pass up but I was hoping since even the 2500k is still viable these days that the 4790k would be viable for awhile even though there’s no upgrade path later on .

So little curious how long this build will last me I do understand the cpu and motherboard have no real upgrade path but I got them both at an awesome deal.

Out of all the negative post I figured I would put my positive two cents in. Anet I love the new maps and the mastery system I feel like I actually have things to do and goals to strive for where as before the expansion other then wvw I really had no reason to log on. Your always going to have haters but please anet keep going the way your going.

I guess anet trying to put there selves out of business I don’t know but they seem to be doing a lot of wrongful banning lately and soon people will get sick of it and play something else just saying.

I am also having this same problem game worked fine up until this point and is also keeping me from completing the grove map completion.

Just curious is celestial a viable option for pve and pvp? Seems more practical to me what’s everyone’s thoughts?

I’ve gotten the lover dawn and dusk out the forge I dont understand why cant get precursors or people say there so hard to get I got the lover used that money to buy mats towards legendar I then got dawn out the forge using rare swords but I didnt need dawn as I was making twilight so needed dusk and was impatient so I use all that gold to buy rare swords and made dusk all in two day span so I dont see why people cant get pre cursors I got three out forge no problem using rares the lover was with zero magic find gear out of the forge before the magic find change and the other two were with 92% magic find with the new changes so I dont know what to say.

Anet I love the game I really do but guild wars 2 really needs some new dungeons and the addition of raids. Not large scale raids even 10man would be fine. Thanks

this article say’s alot I really feel Ncsoft was just being kitten……….

So Anet I got ? City of Hero’s had been around for 8 years, with a very healthy population and was making money on the game. Despite that, out of the clear blue with little warning even the publisher got very little warning, Ncsoft pulled the plug on the servers…… The publisher, can’t think of the name at the moment ,tryed to buy the rights to City of Hero’s to keep the game going but for some reason wasn’t able to. Obviously this left thousands of people kitten ed off and many have swore to never buy another game with an Ncsoft tag. So my ? is this. What guarantee do we have that now or in the future ,Ncsoft won’t do the same with this game regardless if there making money or not ? What Ncsoft soft did to City of Hero’s was well………… down right kitten.

From what I’ve seen and heard on the forums, many people aren’t happy with these really irrelevant content patches. Maybe were reading different forums………… Why cant’t anet add sustainable content such as dungeons that stay, new WvW maps, Raids if anet was to do it right, could be done and not impact the game so the casuals could do them or not do them. Instead we got mini games…… Sometimes I feel like I’m playing the 2013 edition of super mario bro’s more then I am a MMO.

Anet can we get more dungeons pls?Ones that stay? Doing the same ones over and over is getting old fast. I liked the molten facility and the dragon bash dungeon. I don’t understand why you guys take the time to make them if there just going to be temporary……. Also I’d like to see something similar to raids happen maybe with an anet twist to it………… As a pve’er I really have no reason or need to log in.

Arena net can we get the original log in screen back that was in beta? It was so simple yet had an epic feel to it would be awesome:)

Just play how you want. I use a great sword but run a more survivability build. I never have problem getting groups I kill things just fine , and not to mention these poor elitist guys running around with there leet gear cant stay up for more then two seconds when they get smacked I just have to laugh. Mean while I’m usually last one standing and have saved many fights just play how you want:)

Yes I would get 60 fps out in the open world with dips in large areas like rata sum, lion arc etc, performance was terrible with people around and in dungeons this is where I seen the biggest improvement.

Hello everyone:) Just like to give my fellow amd fx owners a chance to get the performance out of there chips and gw2 that they would expect to get:) Before I get started here is my system setup…….

windows 7 64 bit
nvidia 570 gtx
8gb ddr3 ram
fx 6100 3.3ghz stock

Like many fx owners I figure my system is well then adequate to run gw2 mostly on high with shadows down and such, which I could but the performance seemed off and lacking. I had a friend who has an i5 2500k system build and gw2 runs flawless on his to say the least I was dissapointed. He then asked me though do you have your chip overclocked? I said no which he replied…….. thats your problem the fx chips are made to overclock, he said get it to about 4ghz and I bet your game will run 1000x better.

Well being noob to the whole overclocking thing, I had no idea where to start,but I new I could get better performance in gw2 with this chip, so there’s first time for everything. I went down to my local comp usa bought a Silent X EFZ-120HA5 after market cooler. Probably not the best but was 10x better then the stock fan I had. After installing this new fan called my friend up and asked him how I should go about overclocking, he replied start by bumping the multiplier up a notch then try to boot if it crashes or locks up, up the cpu voltage a little and try again , but said to watch the temperature of the chip not to exceed 60 degrees celcius if at all possible.

I’m no overclocking expert but using just multiplier, voltage, and $25 after market cooler, I was able to achieve 4.4ghz stable with max temps sitting at 55 degress celcius. The game performance is night and day, not only did I achieve my first sucessful overclock:) My game runs exactly on par to my friends I5 system and the way I always thought my system should run:) So my message for you fx chip owners overclock overclock overclock the difference is night and day wish everyone best with there fx chips:)
