Kill 50 mobs to get to that node. Now kill another 50 to get to the next one.

You want different builds? Try Secret World. I did. Still playing. PVE there is hard. You may need to switch builds a couple of times just to do 1 quest.

People make crazy builds like Deadpool – Pistols+Blades.
Or that Elemental magic+Assault Rifles.

GW2 is too limiting. I can’t take the last skill from Valor without taking everything before it. In TSW you can.

Did it, it’s awful. No roles + mindless zerg = even more mindless zerg.
No rewards. No personal rewards, no world rewards (these +3% bonuses are kinda nothing). In Aion you sieged an Abyss fortress, captured it and then you had access to that fortress’ instance, for example. No open world PVP, no gank, no fun.
SPVP is all about who can stand in glowing spot longer. I mean really. Even 1v1 tournaments would be more interesting. TEH BESTEST WARR EU ©

This one is funny – I did 70% just by leveling to 80, so 100% is like +2 more days after that).

So your party just avoids melee combat and you buff/heal/protect them and dps with your scepter.

Well, in Aion I don’t even remember exact number of transportation fees. Too cheap to care. 5-10k kinah I think. And you vendor a common grade weapon drop for 700k.

You can just look at your recipes, seek orange ones, buy mats, craft till green → repeat.

Btw if you wanna profit, you must farm all the materials yourself. Every last bit. Ectos, wood, uranium and pieces of MIR space station.

I bet half of players don’t even know (or forgot) they can craft gold (rare) armor/weapons/jewelry @ craft levels 125 and 250. For levels 35 and 50. Using noob resources.

Since Anet doesn’t want us to have money (cough*GEMS*cough) then exploit! Well, not an exploit, but run Citadel of Flame easy-route non-stop. You’ll get ~2g+/hour guaranteed.

Maybe I’m lucky or something… I’m a 400 armorsmith, cook and a jeweler. I also leveled Leatherworker past 205. I craft for my friends and guildies and still have about 200+ jute and ~100 jute cloth. It seems like ppl don’t salvage everything (I mean everything, no exceptions, starting from lvl 1). Currently I’m more ore and especially leather starved (tier 4 leather though, only got 112 of it :S) And ofc fine mats. Bloody claws of venom bone fangs.

Is underwater damage supposed to be so low?
I mean it takes a long time to kill a lvl 80 mob underwater. But if I pull him out of the water he dies in 4 seconds by my greatsword :S

Dungeon/cultural vendors don’t sell jewelry, so the only way to obtain Rare/Exotic jewelry is crafting (AFAIK).

28 lvls/18 mats. 3 per craft. That’s 4.6 lvl per craft.
25/56. 8 per craft. That’s 3.5 lvl per craft.

Everybody talks about surviving lol… Surviving WHAT? Open world content can be afk facerolled, greatsword just makes it so much faster. When you do heart quests and need to kill mobs – #5 skill pull 5 of them, AOE them down in 4 seconds, repeat. 1 minute later – the heart is done. Next.

About buying crafting material @ TP. Let’s see: 1 fine crafting mat costs ~1.5s (some cost more, some cost less). So I need 8 of them to lvl my craft by 2-3 points. That means 12s for 2-3 points of crafting proffesion. We can lvl 20 points by refining resources, so we need to level ~300 points using fine mats (say craft 150 items). That’s 18g.

And then the best part: now you need to use that freshly leveled crafting prof to equip yourself. Good luck farming Powerful bloods. And ectoplasms. And gossamer.

If you decide to just buy those mats – you can just buy that crafted item off the TP (price is the same).

It does. In my 0/0/20/30/20+all cleric gear it heals ~2200-2400

Or you guys could concentrate on playing the game instead. Crafting isnt essential in any way. I completed the entire game without even touching crafting. And you know what? I had tons of jute afterwards. And you get exactly what you need from completing missions. Armor, weapons, accessories..its all given to you. You guys are starting in the wrong end, wake up. play through the game and start working on crafting in the later stages of the game.

Events lol? Drops? Rares are vendored for 1.8s. Dungeons? Yeah, I got whooping 26 silver from HotW yesterday.

I helped my friend yesterday (lvl 18) got 76 jute/hour without even trying to get it. Because I don’t need it.

Problem is not cloth/ore. Fine(blue) mats are. Venom sacks, blood, fangs etc.
The only problematic cloth is Gossamer.

Low DPS? O_o Problems with 3 mobs? Are you wearing white armor or something?
My guardian has 3000 attack, 50% crit chance and kitten load of condition damage (30/30/10/0/0, Mystic Greatsword). I try to never pull less the 5 mobs in Orr.

Survivability? Puh-lease. Save yourselves alone is imba. And you have minimum 3 Aegis on demand. I use Retreat, Save yourselves and Purging flames as utils. And Virtues.

Salvage everything. Mithril and Silk drops like crazy and you can transmute them into Gossamer/Orichalcum in Mystic Forge. Wiki for recipes.

So what about 6 runes sets? of the Flock for example. It gives +10, +55, +100 healing power. Do they stack? Or I get +100 h.power from the last bonus and that’s it?

Alright, I’ll update this thread. Maybe someone can use this info.
Yesterday I crafted full Cleric’s rare set, plugged Flock runes in it, got a mace + shield (cleric, rare) and all green 80 cleric accessories.
I’m at work, have no access to the game, so numbers may be a little approx.

Virtue of Resolve ~306 (304?) — 1 tick/second
3rd mace skill ~510.
2nd mace skill – symbol ~220. — 1 tick/second
Shield of Protection detonation ~2200-2400.
Hold the line ~1700
4th staff skill ~2000+
End of defensive roll ~1300

I said forget about weapons other then greatsword for leveling.
For example now that I’m lvl 80 for a long time I switched from 30/30/10/0/0 to 0/0/20/30/20, grabbed a staff/mace+shield, full Cleric set + runes of the Flock, healing jewelry. Ppl love my support in dungeons. I kinda solo-heal most of it

All those posts about this weapon being ‘support’ and that being for ‘tanking’ or whatever – forget about them. You’ll only need greatsword/sword+focus combo. And you will use sword/focus only to survive/run away. Greatsword has highest damage, huge AoE from auto-attack, AoE pull, AoE symbol and AoE blind.

It goes like this: run in the middle of 3-5 mobs, Pull them, Purging flames, leap, symbol, Virtue of Justice, whirl, 3 auto-attack hits, collect phat lootz, pull next mob pack.

Hah. seeing Aion and stuff listed as an old grindy game is just hilarious. Try grinding for years in a specific pit on Helbreath for an item that only 3 people in 5 years got. Rares on there were rare until they started tweaking the rates and made them common , (after i had quit the game).

Hah, saying L2 grind ‘is hilarious’ is hilarious. So are 2 years of grind to level-cap in PW. Or RFO. Yeah… those games are casual.

Good luck farming anything but BONES in Cursed shore. kittenging undead everywhere. You don’t get it – everywhere. Imaging your race’s starting area. Now replace every mob there with a kittenging undead. Now multiply amount of mobs by 4. There you go – Cursed shore.

People here don’t know much about botting it seems. Nowadays bots not only will change locations and mobs, they will also sell loot, ressurect at WP and run back. I’ve seen bots answer PMs. I’ve seen gathering bots running routes, changing maps. They even made a flying bot for aether gathering in Aion!

This anti-farm code won’t stop them. But it sure as hell is gonnakitten off legit players.

Corpse run? Corpse collecting? O_o Am I missing something?
