where can i find U/S in game ?
Combat should not slow down characters at all..
How come movement speed is reduced in combat?
It would be nice to see signets that grant movement speed also grant a movement speed buff in combat as well. I feel its kind of a useless signet if it grants “25% movement speed” but then does nothing for you in combat… I would like to see this changed.
Does anyone feel the same way ?
I really enjoy farming mobs with a large group of people.
I would like to see this type of farming implemented into the Guild Wars 2 world as a regular way to farm.
brings back good memories of farming in Lineage 2 minus the ability to PK though =)
I think Spvp is great but I don’t really see a huge incentive for myself to put many hours into playing it. I really like PVP and this is the main reason why I play Guild Wars 2. I enjoy WvWvW but every now and again I need a bit of change of pace so I do not get bored… I think allowing players to gain achievements, gear, weapons, etc from playing sPVP matches and allowing these rewards to be carried into the realm outside of sPVP would be really awesome. I am not much of a fan for PVE and I would much rather have the ability to farm sPVP to obtain the ascended weapons, trinkets, armor etc.
I think it would be great to see some changes in the aim of allowing our characters to purchase or win rewards that can be useable in the realm outside of sPVP. For instance, allowing players to collect badges to trade in for ascended gear/weapons that players characters can use in the realm outside of sPVP.
Overall this is just a basic idea I am throwing out there. But I would enjoy sPVP much more and so would a lot of my friends if there were more incentive to play matches and have rewards go towards my main character that I use in the realm outside of Spvp.
What does the rest of the community think about this idea. It can use some work but I think a lot of PVPers out there would really enjoy this.
Does Guild Wars 2 use " pseudo random number generation (PRNG), an algorithm for generating a sequence of numbers that approximates the properties of random numbers." For stats like critical hit chance?
This method is widely used in games such as Dota, Wc3 and League of Legends.
(edited by wbonetwo.2196)
how can you prove that statistically?
What if one player is really lucky and lands all crit hits while the other play doesnt land any at all. How can you disprove this theory?
Just a bit of background on my problem. In games such as league of legends and mmorpgs, there is a STAT that is called critical hit chance. Critical hit chance is the probability for ones character to do double damage. I was having a discussion with a friend and his point of view is that critical hit chance removes a lot of skill from these types of games and that critical hit chance would shine through skill. My argument was that over a large number of trials (duels, games played etc) one team/individual will show that they are more skillful not based upon just critical hit chance alone but because they are the more skilled group or individual.
If two teams or two individuals had 5% critical hit chance and squared off against each other, would the critical chance alone determine who the more skilled player is over long run?
If each team/individual played against each other 100 times would it be clear to see who the better team is regardless of critical chance? Or does critical hit chance play a large factor in determining who the more skilled team/individual is in this scenario?
I really enjoyed playing ranger when I could use Short Bow and attack from 1200 range.
I am really sad that the range was decreased to 900 range.
Critical Hit Chance is a type of luck stat that impacts fights more so than any other stat in MMORPG’s. The biggest issue with Critical hit chance is not the fact that you or your partner trading off crit hits, but the crucial fight ending times the crit hit is landed.
I would just rather have PVP determined all by skill .. Not skill and random rolling dice i.e Critical Chance/Critical Damage.
The build you choose to create is part of the skill that is required to beat your opponent. If you take 2 players with identical builds, then skill will usually still separate the winner from the loser. Sure you might have some instances where your opponent gets a few more lucky critical hits, but odds are you’ll both crit equally over so many fights against each other. You can also customize your build to maybe sacrifice critical chances in favor of your toughness. Maybe he’ll get more crits on you, but you might be tough enough to take them and still use your skill to outlast him. As was said previously, changing this at this point in the game would require much more effort than any benefit it would create, if any.

no one sees eye to eye with me on this?
You Ranger players should boycott this bullkitten. Rangers range weapons hit so weak to begin with. How can it be fair to allow our S/B to be same range as our axe… that is ridiculous.
wow allow us to trait it for 1200 range.
This is so ridiculous
I always thought ranger s/b had 1200 range since beta.?
I really enjoy playing Guild Wars 2 and MMORPG’s in general. But I think that having critical chance in a game makes things kinda unfair in terms of “randomness” Takes away some skill from the game. I don’t beleive MMORPG’s need critical chance or critical damage at all. I would like to see Guild Wars 2 remove this stat.
This would be nice for people who make multiple characters. I would like to share gear between my warrior/guardian, ranger/engineer,…
Is it possible to make grenade skill 1 auto attack like everyone else auto attack skill one?
this would greatly reduce the strain on my fingers/hands./
I seem to lose cursor when right clicking to move view of character during fights….p lease fix this asap
(edited by wbonetwo.2196)
Ok sorry I meant mainly for weapons. I would really love to see huge weapons on my asuran.
can we see this in Halloween patch?
I am quite upset that my asuran guardian doesnt have a massive weapon.
Could we please have this changed. I would like to see oversize equipment on my small asuran. I can barely see the weapons on my character.
I find it really easy to loose my cursor in large battles/skirmishes. Would it be possible to allow players to adjust cursor color and shape/size?
The Best PvP MMORPG Ever Made
The Best PvP MMORPG Ever Made
ok i guess what i was trying to say was allow us to switch up the skills that are currently available to use VIA the weapons. It would be pretty neat to see the ability of customization within that weapon skill bar similar to utility skills
switching out skills would be awesome too
Even a glif system to add skills to your current skills would be neat to see.
I would like to see the addition of more skills per weapon which would translate into an additional skill bar. I feel that currently the skill use feels to similar to league of legends and is becoming boring there is not enough variety. The learning curve’s of each character is pretty basic and I would like to see a bit more skill involved with skill rotations depending on situations each individual encounters. Weather it is pve or pvp, I would like to see a bit more flavor added to the game in terms of skills and skill usage.
Lastly, I would like to see the ability for necromancers have access to the slot skills and it would be nice if life blast applied bleed, so we could keep our bleed stacks up and epidemic as well.
furthermore i dont like skills that damage the necro. Such as blood is power. There is no reason to have a self inflicting bleed duration when casting this skill..
I would like to see life force deplete at a static rate. Not the way it currently depletes faster depending if you are being hit or not.
AMEN to that ^^
why not? i think it would be awesome
Furthermore, if there was a hardcore pvp server I would re-level from 1-80 just to participate in this type of server. I believe a lot of other players would as well.
everyone that participated in the beta flooded the WvWvW..
How come there is so much PVE content coming out?
I thought this game was all about “Guild Wars 2”
I would like to start off by saying that I have played GW2 since day 1. I have really enjoyed playing Guild Wars 2, but the game specifically PVP seems dull and boring with a very low skill ceiling. I quit WOW to play GW2… Please do not flame my post because I strongly believe a lot of people out there share the same opinion that I have expressed above.
I would like to see this change. The only way I can see this change is to revamp the whole system and make it more trait based rather than based on weapon choice.
What class do you play? Build? How do you PvP, what’s your style? why do you think pvp is boring?
All of these questions are important to addressing your OP.
I have all of the classes level to 80 except for engineer
your probably to closed minded to understand what I am saying ^^
i hate to say this but I prefer the skill system / talent tree in world of warcraft. I think they had it right and why change the formula if it works so well.. i.e why re-create the wheel….
If this game played like world of Warcraft back in Vanilla WOW days, the pvp would be a lot more interesting and dynamic.
I would like to see traits determine the skills a class has available to them rather than weapons. The current system IMO, really limits the creativity/skill ceiling that a player can achieve.
I would also like to see all toughness stats removed from the game.
I would like to see only core resource stats implement such as: vitality, strength, intellect. I believe having only these basic stats, allows for an easier time balancing the game. Right now fights are boring and people die only when they are focused by 3 or more players.
Additionally, players should have the ability to customize their gear (within limits of course) the stats they want to add to their gear. I dont like the fact that the gear stats are per-determined and we have to just go with what is “closest” to our ideal builds.
I wish we could use our regular gear obtained in WVWVW, PVE content etc in SPVP and VICE VERCA. I dont like the fact that SPVP make everyone pretty much the same.

I like Dhumfire but I wish there wasnt a cool down on how frequent it can be applied.
I would like to see the frequency dropped to 5 seconds or less.
it should be an optional server dont bad mouth the idea because you wont need to join the server in the first place. I think there would be a large following of players to that server if it ever made it live.
wvwvw is boring. Just a big zerg running around.
The aspect of open world internal server pvp, is the fact that it is surprise there would be a lot of fun on a server with this type of pvp.
It would be interesting to see how many people would transfer to a server like this.
i think it would work if the right mechanisms were put in place.
why wouldn’t it work? It worked in Lineage 2
I am not sure how many people are for and against a dedicated open world pvp server, but I would really enjoy it if there was an option to pvp openly on a server with no objectives, no teams, just pure server politics .
