Can we have at least the closest waypoint to the only guild bank location in the city fixed? There are several bank locations all over the place, but the guild bank access is only in Fort Marriner. Please, do something about it.
You can go to the guild registrar by where the old mystic forge/bank was and access your guild bank
I wish they would have left LA in ruins and turned it into a normal world map with Mobs. Would have been so much better. Then they could have built a new capital city elsewhere

Remove the idea of “claiming” and turn it into “buffing”. Your banners can still fly and all that when your guild has it buffed, but if another guild comes along with more (not equal) buffs active than yours. They can override your buff and buff it themselves.

I just wish they would lock server transfers 24hrs before they announce a tournament. This way people can’t bandwagon to servers just for the tournament.
The tournament should be a fight of the current wvw communities. Instead it just changes a lot if not all of them as guilds leave servers and go to others.
Also. How is a “weekly” only 1/5 of a “daily”? Seriously? I understand making it easy so PVE players don’t create too many queues. In what world does it make sense that a “weekly” is easier than a “daily”.

so basically you are proposing to take the world out of world vs world. It would then be red vs blue vs green. Not world(server) vs world vs world.
1. There are lots of WvW players that play ppt. A lot have given up and just look for fights because of uneven coverage though.
2. As a server that was siege trolled like crazy during this season. I find this to be a major issue.
3. Everyone who plays WvW regularly is going to agree that things are slow. Hopefully with all the different discussions going on now we’ll see some major things with feature pack 3.
4. Couldn’t tell ya about JQ. I heard some guilds left. I don’t think that qualifies as being dead though.

Same here. Can’t use dive goggles on any existing characters on my account. Which is all of them but one.
The Society [SCTY] is a PvX guild with members from around the world. Although a majority of our members are US/Canada.
We have members who enjoy just about every aspect of the game. We are mainly based on Yak’s Bend but have members on other servers as well. For PVE server doesn’t matter anyway.

Give us one more option to report: “WvW trolling”. When 10+ players report the same player, don’t let him use/take supply nor drop/use siege for some time (24h or even more)
Won’t work. Trolls will just get together in a group of 10 accounts. Report valid commanders. Now you commanders can’t place siege.
1) Make siege build sites easy to target the one you want when stacked on top of each other.
2) Put the account name of whoever drops the siege somewhere when you target it. (build site and completed siege)
3) Give players the option to report siege and build sites as troll siege when they are targeting them. This is a report against the account that placed it.
4) Once X number of reports come in of this account siege trolling. Get someone to watch the person and then ban them when it is confirmed they are doing it.
Also the option of being able to toggle the ability to only interact with your guild or squads build sites would be nice too and could be implemented along with 1-4.
This wouldn’t eliminate an account building worthless siege to hit cap or wasting the supplies. It would make it more costly to them when they will probably get banned for it. This will discourage others from doing it.
There may still be trolls out there that find it worth 24.99 to troll the enemy. They will be a lot less than when they don’t have to worry about being banned.

The Guild system is the only way I think trolling will be curtailed.
I would like to see a system in which siege is only deployable by a guilded toon of sufficient wvw rank. Golems should only be usable by the same standards.
If this were possible then the only thing needed to stop the offensive behavior would to have a guild member of sufficient rank to guild kick such offender.
This wouldn’t work at all. I could buy a new account today. Go farm EotM for X hours until whatever rank. Delete character and transfer to the server I wanted to troll. Make a new toon and a new guild. Rep my new guild with my new toon as I continue to troll. it really wouldn’t take much effort unless the rank was unreasonably high which would hurt new players. After I ranked up the first time in EotM then I have my troll account forever to continue to troll whenever I like.
I do agree with Cake.
There are about five people causing/have caused major problems in the past. The WvW community know who these people are, we have video evidence of it.
Wouldn’t it be more cost effective to get in there, and ban them from WvW for 30 days or something then put a ton of code time into the works that will probably be buggy and hurt the people not doing anything wrong?
I agree these accounts should be banned. It won’t solve the problem though when you can regularly buy another account for 24.99. From what I’ve seen most people who troll siege do it on a second or third account while keeping their main account on their homeworld for regular play.

- A group of 10 or more players may vote to dismantle a siege weapon. They do this by each getting on the weapon and using a new “dismantle” skill on it. A dismantled weapon will distribute 50%(balance this return as you see fit, down to 0) of its supply cost to all nearby players once enough votes are in. If a weapon is dismantled inside a structure it will provide this return to the structure’s stockpile instead (balance this as you see fit too, to prevent “storing” supply in siege weapons).
I think this is a about the best idea I’ve read so far but to make it a lil better I think you should get some type of counter each time you vote to dismantle a piece of siege. After you get to 3 or 5 even, you can’t vote again for 1-2hrs. This way you couldn’t have a 10 man troll squad come into a server and just dismantle all defensive siege on the map.
See, I knew this would happen. Rather than just dealing with the tiny minority of people who perpetuate abuse by handing out bans (trust me, only a few bans would be enough to make people think this wasn’t so cool anymore), we’re gonna end up with a convoluted system which penalizes everyone and makes it a lot more annoying to legitimately siege up our towers and keeps.

That may deter some people. But when the game goes on sale for 24.99 regularly it is easy enough to buy an extra account or two. Some people may not see this as worth it if that account gets banned. To many though, that extra account being banned would be worth the damage they caused before the ban.
Also totally agree these accounts should be reported, then checked on, then banned when caught. It still won’t fix the problem though.

You have to be representing the guild to access the guild bank. Also you cannot deposit anything that is account bound in a guild bank. Other than that I don’t know what else to tell ya.

I think most to all of these are good suggestions. Another lil quality of life improvement I’d like to see is the ability to search in collectables tab. That and move the T6 mats to the end of the T5 ones where it makes sense. Instead of moving them all to the right side.
I find the season 1 isn’t quite adequate for a PVE player who just went into WvW long enough to complete the meta. For the dedicated WvW players it is just a slap in the face. Not only are the rewards junk and not worth what I can do in 1-2 hrs in game via dungeons or champ farming, but they made it so 2nd and 3rd place don’t even get the dolyak finisher. What was the point then?
Pretty much every league knew who was going to be first place going in so what was the point of anyone from any other server putting the effort in? Plus I hear the dolyak finisher only has 250 uses. I think most people won’t use it after a week or two anyway but it still should be unlimited use. As far as that goes I think all servers should get a finisher. Just any server who didn’t take 1st-3rd should get the same one just for there work in completing the meta.
I spend most of my gameplay time since launch in WvW. Between all the extra time I put in during season fighting for my server and now the crappy rewards. I don’t know if I’ll be back into wvw for a while.
ANET said season 1 would reward people and help drive more people into wvw. I think with this slap in the face that it is going to do the opposite and drive dedicated WvW players like me away.
To all complaining about 2v1. The devs have mentioned more than once that they figured that 2v1’s would happen naturally due to the play style. The issue has been when a superior(numbers/coverage) server is against 2 others and one is obviously the lesser of the three. The 2nd place server usually beats on the third just to make sure they maintain 2nd place. Then the small guy (3rd place) just picks off what he can no matter who the server is.
In all reality though. The most strategic and sound way to play would be for both lesser covered servers to focus the bigger more populated one. After all the enemy of my enemy is my friend (temporarily).
After all that I’m not saying SBI or YB is superior to the other. I’m just saying that a 2v1 isn’t “unfair” or “not the way it should be played”. It’s logical.
So when the ranks become account bound. Say my total rank is 400. does that mean I have 400 points to put into each character, or does it mean I have 400 points to split between all my characters.
In the end wxp/rank is no different than leveling a new character. Just because you hit lvl 80 on one character doesn’t mean you are punished or forced to just play your 80 because your new character starts at lvl 1. Same thing applies to rank and that makes sense. I mean your lvl 1 doesn’t have all the cool abilities and such that your lvl 80 does. Just like your low rank alt doesn’t have all the cool wvw stuff you high rank character does.
I don’t find this to be unfriendly to alts. I find this as the fact it is an alt and not the same character. With all the account bound stuff in this game people have come to just want everything to be account bound, basically wanting stuff for free.
I think going account bound would be a bad idea. I do think they need to do a little something to help with alts though. I would find this change more of a bonus. I like the idea 3 OP gave. I would change it a little though and make it so 10% of the wxp earned is giving to all alts instead of putting it in a bank. that way for every 10 ranks you earn, all your alts would get 1 free rank. On top of this I’d make it so the wxp pots that drop give that wxp to all character and not just the one you consume it on.

This might be something that is hard to implement as far as programming though. It would give you a little something on your alts so they are not totally left out.

I’d love a Linux port for GW2.
I sadly still have a gaming PC running windows but use linux on all my other machines. I also dual boot my gaming PC but as most of my gaming is GW2 nowadays I rarely launch into linux on that machine.
I’m upset with this situation also. I had MF gear on a toon. I decided that because that gear was going to become account bound I would save it for my other heavy armor alt I was leveling and buy new gear for my guard (who had exotic lvl 80 MF gear). If the gear was going to be soulbound I would have just waited. I now have no use for the second set of gear and I’m out 20+gold that I spent buying my other gear.
ANET really needs to fix this issue. I understand it was a mistake. When you make a mistake that screws your customers you fix it, you don’t just say “well, my bad”.
How is this any different then a mesmer or other class having to carry 3 or 4 weapon sets for different situations and having to swap thru their Hero screen/inventory. Ele already has basically 4 weapon sets with their attunments. The other classes only have 2.
Engineer has kits which is why they only have one weapon. Although I think engi’s do deserve a second weapon slot but not ele’s.
Oh, and just a FYI, I have a lvl 80 ele that carries multiple weapons that I have to swap out of combat if needed for different situations so it isn’t like I don’t understand where you coming from.
Not a ton to say that hasn’t already been said. CD is the only server I know of that leaves their entire borderlands unscouted and even if there is a scout to have no response whatsoever. If a golem rush or any zerg can roll into your borderland and cap the entire map or even just the 3 keeps and your server can’t get a response there by the time they are hitting the third keep you have an issue. Especially when it happens while you have a massive zerg on EBG.
I think this is a great idea. I wouldn’t even mind if they still took up bank spots as long as I had them accessible like this so I could actually use them up when needed. As it is now I never carry most of them . I probably have 10+ of all the bank access, TP express and stuff like that. I have at least 5 or more of most of the boosters.
Also I think Feelm’s idea would be good too and would help promote people buying them in the gem store.

+1 for linux client. I’ve been a linux user for the past few years and hate having to boot into windows just to play a game.
I fought a bunch of WM in YBBL tonight. I really expected more. Maguuma guilds were alot more organized and ruthless IMO. Not that they are bad or anything, but it wasnt much of a resistance.
I haven’t seen WM as of late but by how much I see people say they are good I was really disappointed in them. The couple nights my guild ran into them we wiped them while outnumbered by them. The only time they beat us is when they outnumbered us by a really massive amount.
From playing against Kaineng I think they are hoping for a lot. I think they are a 2nd-3rd place server in Tier 3. This is only due to their population and not their skill. We wiped a [WM] zerg more than once with less numbers. That wasn’t while defending a keep/tower either. I don’t believe we have ever had even numbers in WvW with Kaineng since match starts and they only really started beating us badly once our reset night population went away and we are stuck with being outnumbered on most maps most the time. The only true tactics I see Kaineng use is a zerg and using portal bombs in combination with shadow refuge to abuse culling. A tactic that takes no skill just numbers.
I think that the reset is a good thing myself because the server rankings really don’t represent the server seeing how a lot of the servers are only where they are because of transfers since launch. Things will be a lil chaotic for a month but I think things will settle out a lot faster than people think because of the player base being experienced in WvW now and no more massive transfer bandwagons.
removing swords will not stop zerging. It will just make countering zergs a little less easy. People tend to want to take the easy route. Running with a massive zerg is easy and doesn’t require much thinking. I personally dislike zerging but understand why it exists. Also anyone that thinks that they know the answer and it is something as simple as “remove swords”, or “remove the aoe cap” doesn’t really know anything. If the answer was something that simple it would be implemented already. Do you think ANET has not thought of these things? The fact is that these solutions that people keep bringing up over and over will not stop zerging. On top of that they will cause other negative effects to the game.
Look, part of the confusion is that yesterday evening an ArenaNet employee posted “Check in with the heralds for updates. There are hints of things to come already in the game.”
When you say “there are hints of things to come already in the game”, that implies things can be found now rather than later. Because if it’s not in now, it’s not “already in the game”.
It would help if everyone was on the same page, employees included.
It clearly states that there are “hints of things to come”. So I don’t understand the confusion. I mean I haven’t checked if the heralds are there to give you hints or not, but I didn’t feel the need to because the statement clearly said that the event is to come, and not right now.
I think this is a good cost. In my head when they announced it I was thinking 500,1000,1500. So I was right other than the high cost is a lil more. This encourages people to go to the lower population servers to try and level out the population. Also it discourages guilds from all transfering to a high pop server when it is going to cost them $20+ worth of gems. That said I can make enough gold in 3-4 weeks to exchange for 1800 gems so it could probably be a little higher. Believe it would be about 30-35 gold at current exchange rates.
Not only will it scramble servers in different tiers for the first few months, it undoes all the work and hours spent by the competitive WvW servers. A reset of the system should only occur if a NEW ranking system comes out. With the current state of the glicko, you’re going to see very competitive top WvW servers be pushed down to much lower tiers because their point scores are pretty much evenly matched and their volatility doesnt change much over the week while other T1-3 servers be pitted against non WvW servers and immediately jump to 1st place because they can score a 650+ tick.
TL;DR Resetting of WvW scores is a terrible idea and will be a compete disaster on the WvW tier match ups in the following weeks. Please rethink this Anet.

I disagree with you very much. Yes it will throw things into chaos for a while, but with the massive amount of transfers that have happened it is required. It doesn’t undue all the hard work of people because a lot of the servers are a bunch of guilds that transferred to them. These people didn’t put in tons of hard work to get to where they are at, They flooded a server with a massive population which made them shoot up through the ranks. That is not hard work. That is jumping on a bandwagon for easy wins. Yes when you get to the point where you are against semi evenly populated servers things level out but that wasn’t a bunch of hard work. It was a very simple way that took no work really at all. I know there are a few servers that are the exception to this and they received their bandwagons long ago but it was till the same thing. Not work but transfers that made them reach the high tier they are in (or stay in it). This is why it needs reset. All the free transfers since the game has launched has made it so the elo does not represent the hard work of the server at all. Anyone or guild who wanted to be in a higher rank just transferred to it or bandwagoned to a low rank sever so they could have cheesy wins till they got up to where they should be.
after seeing Doctor Orderly MD PhD DDS’s post about it only happening on certain toons for him/her I have tried all my toons and found out that this doesn’t seem to happen on my mesmer. Was logged in for 25+ minutes with no issue. Went back to another toon and got disconnected right way.
I’m having same problem. I think longest I’ve made it is 10 minutes. Sometimes I lot in and get disconnected in less than 1 minute. I’d say it averages around 6 or 7 minutes I get disconnected. Never had this problem until today’s patch.

I can’t answer that for you. I am not on Yak’s, haven’t been for quite a while now. I know when I was there, anytime we/they went up against someone with equal numbers we won or held our own. I’m not on Yaks anymore. I left for Real life friends and we server hopped spending 2-3 weeks on each server we went to to get a feel for the WvW community and find a good guild (not just one with numbers). I never tried Maguuma as I said. I know that they were a server with good tactics. I also know there have been other servers with good tactics and when a bandwagon rush reached those servers their tactics usually fall apart over time because it is hard to control a mass of people (unless you just count people zerging with the commander icon as control).
I’ve played in teir’s 1-6 for WvW. Teirs 4 and 5 are the ones that seem to be fun and tactics and stratagy can actually work. Above that it becomes a mass zerg, below that there seems to be not enough people that care about WvW. (I can’t speak for teirs 7 and 8 because I haven’t been there)

The difference between Mag’s zerg and Yak’s zerg is that Maguuma built a community based on discipline, coordination and skill PRIOR to having superior numbers. Yaks has actively recruited anyone that will transfer since transfers existed.
Maguuma is the one and only server to not actively recruit and have instead built a community that revolves around talent and have pulled in transfers because people want a high quality WVW experience. Every other server in every other tier has no quality control and just wants numbers.
That’s what separates Maguuma from literally every other server in the game. Yeah we have superior numbers now but we got them from in game skill, not forum hording players.
See this is funny because I’ve been on many servers and played WvW and got involved with their community if I can. And Yak’s Bend has the best community, tactics, and cooperation I’ve seen on any of them. To be fair though I’ve never played on Maguuma. On IoJ currently and guild is considering a transfer and I’m trying to talk them into Yak’s, Sadly some people want to bandwagon onto either Maguuma or Kaineng and I refuse to go to those servers so I might lose my guild.
While guesting, if you still earn influence for your home world, I assume that means you only get guild rewards from your home world and only have access to your home world guild bank as well. Am I correct in this assumption?
I am curious about this also. I am still in a guild from another server. I still run dungeons with this guild regularly. Once guesting is in place, can I guest on my old server and while there have access to the guild rewards and the guild bank?
